Das Hotel liegt in der Geary St. ein paar Blocks vom Union Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stockwerk im Mittelgang, was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man den Straßenlärm nicht mitbekommt, sondern nur den gelegentlichen Lärm den andere Gäste verursachen. Die Zimmer haben nur ein kleines Fenster mit einem wenig schönen Ausblick auf den Innenhof. Das Continental Breakfast besteht aus Kaffee, Toast m. Butter u. Marmelade, O- bzw. Apfelsaft u. einem Stück Obst. Problematisch ist die Parkplatzsituation, da gleich vor der Haustür eine Bushaltestelle ist und ansonsten i.d.R. nur Parkplätze für Kurzparker vorhanden sind. Das Hotel bietet für 30 $ p. Tag einen Valetparkservice an, d.h. es kommt jemand u. parkt das Auto irgendwo, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Das Hotel liegt zwar in der Nähe des Unionsquare aber auch sehr dicht am Tenderloin Bezirk, den man vor allem Nachts meiden sollte. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis weiter empfehlen!

Sehr zu empfehlen bei einen Zwischenstop nach Hawaii.Sauber, geräumig, Airport-Shuttle, freundliches Personal, guter Preis.

The position of the hotel is good, inside the tourist-area. Parking fees for one night are ridiculous high (45US$), watch public parking-places, there is one about 200 meters away, there you have to pay about the half. The service in restaurant is unfriendly and boored, makes nothing for a good tip. If you have to drink something or not was not intersting […] the guy who was serving us, only to show, how much tip to give it is used in US. Untypical for touristic-areas in the USA. "Great place for SFO vacation"
Very pleased with all aspects of the Hyatt at the Fisherman's wharf Convenient locaiton to teh tourist attractions along the Embarcodero, but also accessible by mass transit to the rest of the City. Hotel is very well maintained comfortable and staff is very helpful.

"Management was not helpful in a hotel-wide crisis."
When we checked in we were told that the water would be off from 10-3 for three days in a row (our entire stay). The only compensation was two free bottles of water in the room. We were told that we could use the restrooms in the lobby during that time. I walked in and had to hold my nose due to the smell and each stall was full of piled nastiness. […] I can't believe the health department didn't intervene. The front desk staff were unaware of the uncleanliness and stated that housekeeping were supposed to be on top of it. When I spoke to the manager (at 4PM and the water still wasn't on) she also stated that she was not aware that the facilities were disgusting and would have to check wtih housekeeping. I am not fastidious, and I camp frequently, so when I say it was bad it was! I would rather use a portapotty than what they supplied. For the price I was paying, it was obscene. When I complained they offered more free bottled water. I have a 2 year old in diapers. This was unacceptable. Mehr

The had to shut off all the water in the building for 6 hours in the middle of the day, but they did a nice job of taking care of us. Great location. Great staff

This hotel is definitely not a four star hotel. I would give it three stars the most. I think this hotel needs some improvements to be more attractive to tourists. First, the reception desk is dirty. I had an impression that I am in the car repair shop. Even some car repair shops have a cleaner front desk. Second, the receptionist really was not interested […] to help me to answer my question. She was preoccupied with discussion with her colleague. Third, the room was very small with window facing another room just 20 feet across over the roof. Even I had booked a street view room on hotels.com the receptionist could not find for me better one. I do not want to sound all negative. My family had positive impressions too. Valet parking personnel is working hard. Even it costs $45.00 per day it is worth when you plan in-and –out activity. The price is almost the same in all surrounding hotels. Housekeeping personnel is nice and making sure your needs are met. This hotel is located close to most tourist attractions. Overall it is not a bad hotel but definitely not what I would expect from four stars hotel, at least according standards outside of San Francisco. Mehr

Everything was fine at this hotel but I really don't see why you have to pay for Wi-Fi and go through an outside source to do so. Wi-Fi should be free for all paying guests. The posted rate on the Hyatt website was almost $50 dollars higher that the rate we got at Hotels.com

Exceptional front desk staff -friendly and helpful. Morning buffet was all you could wish for. Great location 1minute from cable car terminus and same to Fishermans wharf by foot.Only quibble was right hand side of king bed in room 461 was at different level- something strange about it. However great place to stay and fantastic value
"Good location, but small sign."
Good location. We drove right past it because the Hyatt sign was smaller than the restaurant sign. From the signs, you think you're staying at Knuckles. There's only one type of parking, and that's valet. Worked out well. For check-in, it was quick and easy. Only downfall is that the walls and windows were thin. We could hear people talking as they […] walked by outside (street sidewalk). Also, an inconvenience is that the room next door felt the need to call maid services at 10PM to come and vacuum their room. Maid services was not gentle at all. "entrence of the hotel"
the hotel entrence was really dirty the hotel felt like it was a 2 star rating i was disoponted from walking to my hall and seeing towels on the flow and garbage it was not worth staying the front desk people are very nice dont get me wrong. but the cleanlyness of the hotel was disapointing.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in feb 2012. We were disappointed for a couple of reasons: we felt the discription on hotels.com (where we booked) was misleading, and expected a lot more in our room. We got a room with two single beds (very large singles) rather than a king, and when we asked to swap, the hotel was full. We also had a room […] with a door through to the one next door - which was very un-sound proof and we could hear the full conversation of our neighbours. "Enjoyable stay!"
This was my first stay at a "Hyatt" hotel and I truly enjoyed the experience. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection and was delicious. I would, and intend to stay here the next time I'm in the Bay area.

Upon arrival, we were told there was not any (two bed) rooms available, even though that is what I booked. We were offered a king bed room with a "roll-away bed" at no extra charge, in a lager room. The room was very small, and even smaller with the roll-away bed in place. There was construction of the pool area in progress, which created noise, and […] most importantly, a strong odor of some type of chemical was present in our room (they don't tell you these things when you book the room). Upon complaining to management, we were quickly moved to another room (with 2 beds) and offered $100 to spend at the hotel on things like room service and at the restaurant down stairs. The management also picked up the bill for the parking garage, so all in all, we were comped one night. The management team did a relatively good job to try to make me feel better, however, it was too little, too late. From the time I showed up, things did not feel right...........The Courtyard/Marriott was a much better place to stay, for about the same price. Mehr

Everything was great at this hotel but the service was a bit disappointing. I do not expect a free breakfast and/or internet when I stay at hotels but the front desk could have at least notified me that the free coffee in the lobby was not available after 7:00am when I checked in. Upon checking out I was informed that there was indeed a coffee pot […] in the room but it was in a drawer. Odd place for a coffee pot but okay. We chose the Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf thinking it would be a safe choice for a convenient , reasonably priced, uncrowded Xmas stay. Correct on all counts. Hyatts is suppose to be top of the line.......Not This Hyatt......Our room was very clean, our bed was lumpy with big dips in the mattress....it was broken....at 11pm the hotel went crazy with people screaming and yelling and trying to get into our room......I called the front desk 3 times....they did nothing.....security never came up to our room and […] the front desk never called us back ......when I complained the next day they did not want to move us to another room until I told them I would call the San Francisco Police the next time it happened. We were then given a different room but we had to move all of our luggage ourselves.....they did give us 5,000 Hyatt points.....big deal, that will get you a cup of coffee, maybe......Won't stay here again and you shouldn't either......other choices are Sheraton, Marriot, Hilton, Holdiday Inn, just to name a few, all on the same street....... Excellent choice if you desire to stay within walking distance from Fisherman's Wharf, as it is just a few short blocks away. The hotel included breakfast for it's guests and it was a huge savings and a a major advantage to choosing this hotel. The breakfast selections were awesome. Catching a cab right out front was extremely easy as well. The hotel […] restaurant's (Knuckels) staff was very friendly, the front desk was friendly and the concierge was average helpful. The bellboy was great at catching us a cab, ran right out front and flagged one down for us. My wife wished the lighting in the room was better for makeup purposes, but that was as close as we can come to a negative. Would definitely recommend The Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf and I myself would stay here again. Mehr

Beginning with the evening valet, evening desk clerk, bellman, the condition of the room (I even commented on how good the room smelled when I walked in the door - a rarity), room service, day desk clerk, day bellman and ending with the day valet - all made for an impeccable hotel experience. The room was clean and everything (with the exception of […] the TV remote) was in good working condition. Because all was so well, I did not report that the TV remote was not working - rather I took the time to read a book and bask in comfort and quiet. We loved this hotel! All the staff-front desk, hostess, waitresses, maids, janitors were all so friendly. We got a special which included breakfast buffet that was the best breakast buffet we've ever had! The orange juice tasted fresh, the melons were sweet (this is Nov), the omelets and hashbrowns were tasty, and they offered a granola that tasted […] homemade. I'm so sick of high-end hotels that put cheap, nasty, 'maxwell house' ish coffee in the rooms. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Not only does the coffee suck but then you have sweet-n-low... and no cream but that powdered crap? I realize this won't resonate with everyone, but for this business traveler the first cups of coffee set the whole day in motion. The best […] hotel chain I've stayed at this year was Doubletree b/c they had Wolfgang Puck coffee in the room! Ok, the breakfast included option for our stay made sense until we GOT THERE! They don't open until 6:30... we had to leave by 7 every day so there was just no time. Also, don't add a line for a tip when it's already precalculated & billed to me. That's just sneaky! Mehr

"Good location"
Nice hotel, friendly personnel. Rooms are large and clean, the only disappointment was that there is no place to sit outside on warm days, no patio or pool, not even bench or roof terrace or balconies

disappointed there was no fridge in the room and there is no free wireless access it is available at a high fee $12.00 dollars per day you can go to starbucks to check emails ect. very dated decor not worth the money there are better deals to be had in San Francisco
Hotel ok. Overpriced in world terms for what it is. It is in line with other local hotels but definately overpriced. Internet charges excessive. Probably would look for something else if I visited again. False Fire alarm went off in middle of night and hotel evacuated. No apology or explanation given.

Went on roadtrip around California, and this was worst hotel stayed at. For a 3 star hotel the rooms were awful. They couldnt get our names right to the room and confused us with our friends, so all charges to room were attempted to b put on friends card, DESPITE us informing them on 3 occasions they were wrong!!!Workon roof was very noisy and they […] charge for WIFI and Parking.
