Ramada Conference Center - San Diego

The hotel is just 15 minutes away from the San Diego Gas Lamp destrict and Coronado. The style remembers (intentionally) the American Graffity movie. Very nice people. Very good breakfast for just a few $'s. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Free parking upfront the room. Quiet rooms upon request - no problem!

CLEAN. For the money, it's clean, comfortable, and the staff are very friendly. Close to alot of stuff in San Diego.

I thought he room was very clean and the beds were fairly comfortable.

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel with a great history. The landscaping is beautiful, the pool and hot tub are great and the restaurant has a real chef. The bar has great happy-hour specials, too. This is a good pick.

This motel was pretty nice. My only major complaint is that Ramada makes you give your credit or debit card when you check in. Since we use a debit card, $50 dollars is held for your stay. Something that other hotel chains do not do... so I will never stay at another Ramada until either they stop doing this or all other hotels do. Do not order the pizza […] from "Broadway Pizza" which the menu is in your room, it is awful. Other than that, this is a very nice motel. Mehr

Clean, centrally located. Nothing incredible but definitely great for the money. One gripe is that both soda machines ate my money, had to drive to a gas statio nearby. Petty I know..

Hotel was nice but seemed like if only a part of the room was modernized and the rest like bathroom and kitchen weren't

Staff very pleasant, and helpful when asked about recommendation on where to go rollerblading with kids.

As I walked in to check-in I noticed the "manager" in his office and all he was doing was staring at me as if I were going to rob the place. He got out of his office walked right by me and never ever greeted me. Horrible social skills, did I have to walk in with a suit and tie to be welcomed? I will not stay here againg. The hotel was very nice for the price. Rooms are very well equiped and maintained. The value for the price was excellent. The only negative I have to offer, is you better get up early because weekday they have F-18 aircrafts that fly over all day long next door, so you can not sleep past eight and it lasts until sundown and sometimes even past that. […] It was nice to see the aircraft above, but they are so loud it was hard to relax. If you are planning on getting up early and getting home late as we did, the aircraft will not bother you too much. The property is well maintained and the rooms were comfortable and very clean. Staff was professional and kind. I would stay again as long as I was planning on being busy the whole trip. Mehr

We stayed here 4 nights and the room was so clean, my wife asked the housekeeping team what products they use. The hot tub was great after a long day and the restaurant was good, too. Neat place with a history in the movies. We recommend it!

We stayed there one night and it was great. Comfy bed, nice bathroom and flat screen TV. The staff is very honest for the simple fact that my fiance left a pair of headphones in the room and I called to have them put the headphones aside and I would pick up later on in the evening. When we went back to pick up the headphones we came to realize that […] we also left our IPAD. How awesome are they that they put that aside too. There are still good people out there in this world. I had a great experience at the RCC on Kearney Mesa. The staff was great, room cleaned daily and location was ideal for me. Thank you.

The location is right on the freeway. Very convenient and we didn't hear freeway noise! (We weren't facing the freeway though) Don't listen to Google Maps when trying to get there though. It is mistaken. We heard some loud bass thumping through our room at 10:30pm due to an event they were hosting in their event room. After one quick call to the front […] desk (normally I wouldn't care but my baby was asleep!) the desk clerk said they must have left the door open and that he would go talk to them. After that we didn't hear anything anymore. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! The breakfast buffet is for a flat fee. You can also take it To-Go, which we did. Very yummy. Belgian Waffles too! Comfy beds, beautiful rooms. Exterior is older but don't let that fool you. We'd definitely come here again. Mehr

Did not see a reason to rate this hotel/motel 2.5 stars. Quite basic and not fully maintained in some areas (rust on window frames/curtain rods). Dinky shower head. Tolerable for an overnight (cheap) stay in the SD area but NOT that close to anything exciting.

Very nice hotel. The only complaint is that the shower was kind of small and did not have a place to put bath items (i.e. body wash, shampoo, etc.). The pillows are amazing!

This hotel is as good as a two story/no elevator hotel can get. Room was in very good shape-not like the "motels" that you often see. This is the top of the line level of what might seem like just a motel style on the outside. Very clean, hotel like features and amenities, good and helpful front desk people. It's hit and miss with the noise depending […] on who is next to you or above or below you etc., after all, whether there is a large noisy group at the conference center in the middle of the complex - or if people walking by your door start to shout at other people down the way etc. But that is always the "motor hotel" experience. But this is as good as it gets for this style of motel/hotel. It's definitely the best of this type of motel that there is. This and the upgraded Holiday Inns are on par - only the Ramada is a bit cheaper than the deals you can get at the nearest Holiday Inn. I was more than satisfied for the money I paid. I travel a lot and have stayed at the 5 star hotels to the 1 star dives. This is a 2 and 1/2 to 3 star only because it's a "motel" style - but it feels like a very nice 4 star "hotel" in every other way. Mehr

I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel meet my exspectations. The bed was very comfortable. The room well kept with excellent housekeeping. The staff was very nice, made me feel welcomed. I felt very safe & secure. I have no complaints.

I just wanted to say I was surprised and satisfied with my stay at the Ramada Inn hotel! When I pulled up, I thought the reviews I had read early was misleading! But from the front desk, to when I walked into my room, I was satisfied with the excellent service that the hotel provided! The omly thing that was a little concerning was the next door neighbors! […] They came in at 5am, and the walls are very thin,so you can over hear their conversations! Pretty loud! Other than that, the hotel receives high stars! Thanks again! Mehr

This hotel was very convenient for all of the sights in San Diego. Nice and clean, I would stay here again. Very nice for the price.

IIt was very quiet and the grounds are attractive and well maintained. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very nice and the beds comfortable. I would stay there again.

I ve stayed here for 2 nights in a room with double queen beds. First of all i would like to say that this is a motel, not a hotel. Room doors open to the outside. Looks of it are not that good. Small seperate lobby area looks very old along with rest of the buildings. Furniture in rooms looks old as well. Reason i give it 3 stars is i can say rooms […] are very clean and were cleaned the next day. If you are traveling with a family i would not recommend it. Mehr

I have stayed at this hotel several times. This time my room was overlooking the pool and it was the nicest of all the rooms I had been placed in. My only complaint was the internet connections. It took a while to get connected because there seems to be a limit to the number of allowed connections. Since this is a conference center they should assume […] many of their guests will need the interent at once. Mehr

I enjoyed the Ramada Inn very much. It was close to San Diego, a nice drive to it too. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious too. It was also very nice and quiet during the evening hours. They also had a nice breakfast for a reasona le price. I will certainly stay there again, if I need to get to San Diego quickly without having to pay outrages […] prices. Mary Lou Haugh Mehr

The location of this hotel, allowed me a central spot to all the nearby cities in SD.

great hotel with moderate price. it's pretty close to SD and all around there. i would like to come back again.. only bad part was that the breakfast wasn't free but 9.99

Manage your expectations, understand that the place was built 50 or more years ago, and you should have a fantastic stay. The lobby had some huge, beautiful vintage advertisement photos from when the place was a "Sands" hotel. Swanky. One shot of the parking lot is stocked with some of the coolest rides... but I digress. It poured the weekend we stayed […] here, or I would've spent time in both the pool and jacuzzi, I'm sure. On-site laundry, fitness room- great value for the price. It's inland a few miles, and north of downtown, but very adjacent to freeways to beach and downtown. Mehr

I had to stay here sure to some home issues, stayed 30pm days and I actually wished I could haver stayed longer, it was like a mini appartment. Fridge, micro, great pool right outside my door. I do wish the pool was heated so I could haver enjoyed it even more. Great stay.

I chose the hotel because of the pictures and thought it was more modern. I can tell they did some upgrading. It was ok. My only real beef was having to walk through a dark alley to get to my room which was facing the pool. They could seriously put some lights there. Otherwise, it was a decently priced room with a comfortable bed. I give five stars […] for the pillows: big, firm but not too firm, and plenty of them! Mehr
