Zentraler und günstiger kann man in Manchester kaum wohnen. Weniger als 5 Gehminuten zur Piccadilly Train Station, genau an den Piccadilly Gardens, 24h Supermarkt und Post in unmittelbarer Nähe. Nette Angestellte und die Möglichkeit das Gepäck bewacht im Hotel zu lassen, z.B. bei früher Anreise oder später Abreise. Mein (Einzel-)Zimmer war sehr klein, […] sehr hellhörig und nicht unbedingt mit den neuesten Möbeln ausgestattet. Aber ich finde, wer so wenig für eine zentrale Übernachtungsmöglichkeit zahlt, darf auch nicht den größten Luxus erwarten. Insofern finde ich das Angebot fair!!! Mehr

Das Hotel macht von außen sowie in der Lobby einen sehr guten Eindruck, die Zimmer und Flure sind jedoch dringend renovierungsbedürftig, außerdem sollte Mann bei Buchung darauf achten das manche Zimmer kategorien kein Fenster haben! Hotel ist sehr nett aber macht ein etwas alten, heruntergekommenen Eindruck. Wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche hat und viel unterwegs ist, ist es ideal. Es liegt im Stadtkern und man kann bequem zu Fuss alles erreichen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist in zentraler Lage,mit fast allen Bussen und Strassenbahnen sehr gut zu erreichen,Piccadilly station ist nur 3 Stationen mit dem kostenlosen Metroshuttle entfernt.Imponierender Eingangsbereich,sauber,freundlicher Empfang. Das Zimmer war eher klein,aber sauber,die Pat war zum Teilheruntergerissen,was hinter dem Vorhang aber nicht […] wirklich störte. Was störte,war das fehlende Fenster im Zimmer,man hatte das Gefühl einer Innenkabine auf einem Schiff,die Klimaanlage arbeitete aber einwandfrei. Wer keine allzu hohen Ansprüche stellt und ein Hotel in zentraler Lage sucht zu akzeptablen Preisen,ist hier gut bedient. Mehr

Dieses Hotel ist zu empfehlen für Leute, die beruflich oder privat eine zentrale Lage bevorzugen und ein gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis suchen. Die Suite ist grosszügig, der Ausblick je nach Seite gegen die Strasse oder Bürogebäude gerichtet. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmässig und sauber. Das Pult für berufliche Arbeiten ist ideal. Die Lärmemmissionen […] aus den Nachbarzimmern sind tatsächlich wegen den dünnen Wänden nicht optimal, hat mich aber selten gestört. Die Lage an der Portlandstreet mit Nähe zu Chinatown, Northern Quartier oder auch Canal Street fand ich super. Eine Bar im Hotel mit Screens (Football) ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Filthy rooms, things under the bed and an uncaring management leads to a terrible service. Need a room keycard? Hassle. Something wrong with the room? Hassle. The evening and night shift are excellent and do their best but the day shift is to be avoided. Just suffer in silence, most do. And I was informed by staff that the management just doesn't care […] so do not complain but I should be receiving 15% off my stay, I never pursued it further. I was glad to leave. Mehr

The location is great and it's clean but! The bathrooms are very tired the tv and remote didn't work, the staff were not interested.

the hotel is perfectly located five mins from city centre, everything you could need was nearby. the hotel its self was run down, needs a new look. the room was fine with all the basics. the hairdryer did not work, the fan in the bathroom did not work. we paid for a room with a window and got a room with a skylite, this might be ok for a one night stay […] but we were there for four nights and the room got quite hot. the room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels and linen were provided. a little over priced per person per night, but overall not a bad choice of hotel for a city centre. Everything was wonderful, but the room was very warm. No air flow. But other than that it was just fine.

The location is great, and the whole building looks fine, but the service and quality of the room are absolute terrible. The bathroom was leaking while taking a show.

excellent hotel with wonderful decor. A bit like being on the Titanic!

Good value for money. Only downside was a windowless room which was very claustrophobic.

It seems that this hotel was built a long time ago and we were stayed in a room without window! But the price is low according to its location. Anyway, it is very convenient to go to city center and shopping mall.

The hotel is very convenient for business. Everyone is very helpful and friendly but the hotel clearly needs updating in some areas. Although perhaps unimportant the television set is very poor quality, a throwback to the nineties that desperately needs updating especially if you are only in Manchester briefly and have no time/ do not wish to sample […] its other attractions. My set had flicking pictures and poor sound quality. This needs addressing I think. Mehr

Most Britannia hotels are old but location is excellent (city center). It´s a good hotel for crashing one night.

Hotel had a great location but in need of a face lift, everything a little dated! Also the wifi connection didn't work on the top floor.

Would highkly recommend! Ignore weirdoes slating this place, for the price it's tip-top

An easy walk from the train station (Picadilly). Not cheap but maybe because it was Easter. Breakfast not included. I had a decent quiet room and the wireless internet worked fine. I would have given a higher rating if breakfast had been included.

Excellent location in the city center, close to every attraction, especially Canal Street for the nightlife and the picadilly station for the airport train (5mn walk)

The Brittania in Manchester is great in terms of location as it's slap bang in the city centre, close to many transport routes, shops and nightlife. Our room was very comfortable for two nights, including lounging around in for an afternoon, and the free Wifi is a definite bonus. My only grievance was that for a five-storey hotel the lifts were very […] slow and there were some empty Pepsi bottles under the bed. Very good value indeed. Mehr

While this is obviously a little shabby chic and a true bastion of faded glory, I was pleasantly surprised by not only the fact the room was clean and well appointed but that the location was so good. Really nice hotel if you are on a budget.

Great location but the hotel needs a revamp

Ideal for short business visit or for shoping-Arndale centre only walking distance.Rooms very adeqate even economy, staff very helpful indeed, printed a location map of our business contact. In house food was excellent ,restaurant,lounge,& bar. Will use again without hesitation.

Have now stayed at this hotel twice and purely for its location. You couldnt get a better one in Manchester. The staff have on both occassions been friendly enough and helpful. The rates are always good, but the parking does cost a little if you travel by car, but one offsets the other. The rooms are basoc but clean, if you want a window dont book economy, […] i have yet to get a room with a window, it gets a little stuffy. Overall you pay for what you book and thats what you get. A reasonable 3 star hotel smack bang in the heart of Manchester, Try it and see, but dont have great expectaions and you'll be delighted with your value for money Mehr

Location was excellent, just around the corner from all the busses and tram line (Picadilly). Did not eat in the hotel - room only rate had breakfast out - very cheap from £4 up. Tourist information very near very helpful there. Had a problem with heating in the room which was not fixed when requested.
