Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

Die Anwesen mit einem Wert von mehreren Millionen Dollar am Ufer des Lake Washington dienen als luxuriöses Domizil für einige bekannte Milliardäre, darunter auch Bill Gates. Mit ihren riesigen Bürohochhäusern und Bankentürmen steht die Skyline von Bellevue Downtown der von Seattle in nichts nach. An der Eastside sind mehrere Hauptfirmensitze angesiedelt, u. a. die von Microsoft, Nintendo of America und Eddie Bauer.

The Hotel is wonderful and in a very convenient location. The highlight of my stay was that I left my IPod and running clothes in a drawer and didn't realize it until a day had gone by. Housekeeping had it all and returned it!!

"Nice hotel, but getting worn"
This is a typical Embassy Suites and meets all basic needs well, but the facility is getting worn. Our room smelled musty and had some mildew in the shower. The bedding was clean certainly, but worn. I will stay there again but if I am looking for more than a convenient base for visiting family, I will look for a newer facility.

Overall a very good experience. Sofa bed not suitable for my kids, very uncomfortable-- next time will get the two double beds. Managers Reception and Breakfast great...except they advertised the reception on a sign in the reception as being until 8 pm. yet it closed at 7:30. Just a small thing but we ended up missing it the next night because of it. […] Called for towels and it took about an hour and a half to get to our room. They did apologize but still thought it was a bit too long since they only put three towels in our room and there were four of us. Baby crying in the night several times really disturbed our sleep. No fault of the hotel but it would have been better to have the family in a room away from where others were especially since the hotel wasn't full. Mehr
Liked the b-fast. The omelettes were good but was disapointed with how much oil the chef poured into the pan. Yuck! A whole laddle full. Other than that we loved our stay and enjoyed the waterful in the courtyard, very pretty.

This is an overall good hotel. The only negatives were that the housekeeping of the room was very bad. The maid only made the the king size bed and replace the towels, she didn't empty the garbage cans (all 4 of them), pickup and put back the iron board or even fix the bedding on the sofa bed or even close the sofa bed. Also the internet is $11 day […] and for a hotel that costs over $100 a night on average, they should include it, there is no even a free wifi in the lobby for your smartphone or laptop. "Foodie Heaven"
Love the evening reception and the breakfast buffet. All the bartenders were wonderful and accommodating. The best omelette chef was on Monday 1/2/12, nice and fluffy and loaded. "My only complaint-the blankets"
Everything at the hotel was very well ran and clean. The happy hour, New Years party and breakfast were well worth the stay. The blankets, well, they are the fluffy non existent type of blankets, even on the master bed. My son needed about 4 to keep warm. A comforter of some type would. E most appropriate at least on the master bed.

The room was spacious and clean, and the included breakfast buffet was awesome! (Get an omelette!) Our big complaint is regarding the cold indoor pool that we were told was heated. That was a major disappointment, especially since we have kids. Overall, a good experience.

"Fabulous time"
Very pleased with this hotel. The hotel did not disappoint. Minor thing...need to fix/unclog the bathroom sink. Very quiet. We had trouble finding it at first and when I called the hotel for directions, the lady was in disbelief that the other hotel I called from couldn't give me directions as she herself did not know the directions from L hotel which […] was across the I-90. The L staff ended up googling and printing directions for us - much more helpful. L hotel staff were so helpful and fun bunch. Emb Suites could have asked another staff if she didn't know. "very nice hotel"
stayed here for 2 nights in nov. we chose it because it had a pull out sofa bed for our 2 year old and it allowed pets. the suite layout was good and just enough for the 3 of us plus our small dog. the hotel is nicely appointed and the price was good. didn't get to try the pool, but it looked very inviting. will stay there again when we visit seattle/bellevue […] area! Our family loved this hotel! Beautiful place and loved the courtyard area with all the trees and running water creeks/waterfalls. Awesome buffet breakfast!! Only slight negative was the sofa bed for our daughter was not the most comfortable, she could feels the springs of the bed. Highly recommend this hotel!

"Beautiful hotel, convenient to bus transportation"
This hotel was very nice; the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good. About 1.5 miles to bus transportation to Seattle. Hotel has a shuttle for this service if you don't have a car. Cynthia at the front desk during the day shift was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about getting to express transportation to Pike Place market. You need a car but it is very easy to hop on and off the highway where the hotel is. I loved everything about it.

We were only in this hotel for one night, but it by far exceeded our expectations. The gardens & trees within it are beautiful. Pool area was very nice and the free breakfast was more than we could've imagined. Great hotel for a great price!

I was expecting a nice hotel, but this place was breathtaking. The waterfall in the lobby, the glass elevators, and the wide open layout all combined to make one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. I was very impressed with the service and comfort of the room. The breakfast and manager's reception were phenomenal. The "gift shop" is […] somewhat of a joke, however. All it really has are soda's and OTC medications. Also, the AC only goes to 65, so if you happen to be from Alaska (like us) then it is VERY warm in the room. Be prepared for this and don't expect the hotel to have any oscillating fans. Overall, this hotel was a wonderful place to stay and we will be back during out next trip to Seattle. Mehr

This was our second stay at the wonderful hotel. It's right off the freeway easy to find. The most delicious breakfast with made-to-order omelets and the an evening managers cocktail hour that can often substitute as a light dinner. Our kids love the pool (it's very well chlorinated--maybe too well in my opinion) rooms are well appointed. But the in-room […] movie service is very expensive for one movie. My daughters, 4 year old Grandson, and I enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites. The lovely atmosphere and pool and spa were appreciated by all. Children were welcome at the Manager's Reception which included vegetables and dip as well as beverages. We added a pizza from the on-site restaurant to complete our dinner. Nice hotel. Used it because I had stayed there on business over a decade ago and it was convenient for my current needs. Much like I remembered it although seemed less like a business hotel and more like a family one. Decor hadn't changed a lot, still has CRT TVs in the rooms and you have to pay extra for wireless internet. Free happy hour and a good, […] free breakfast though along with a newspaper.
