Comfort Inn Des Moines - Des Moines

We were happy to stay there. I was looking for a hotel that allowed pets and found this one near the airport. they were nice and allowed a little bit larger dog compared to other hotels that had a size limit. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfy. I gave the low grade for condition and maintenance because it was under remodel and i was on the […] lower level and there wasn't much signage to where the lobby and things were, so that was a little confusing. I would go back again for sure if i ever need to leave or pick someone up from the airport. Mehr

dingy, run down looking hotel. Not up to Comfort Inn standards. Looks like a trucker hotel.

Great customer service. Free airport shuttle 24/7, but it does stop at other hotels and parking lots, so allow a little more time than you might think you need. Right across the street from the airport, so very convenient that way. My room was a little musty smelling, but aired out quickly when I turned the fan on. The light by the bed didn't work, […] but I didn't ask about having it fixed either. All in all - great place for the price! Mehr

The hotel was nice. Our favorite part was the temperature of the pool. It felt like bath water and was still quite clean. The breakfast was pretty good but could have had a little more variety (e.g., fruit other than apples).

Everything was clean, the personell pleasant and helpful, the items for the breakfast were fresh and attractively displayed. This was a very pleasant experience.

Late flight so the hotel being so close was nice. Nice person at desk for check in. Got to my room -- a/c was working. Desk said to 'give it a bit' and it would kick in. So I turn down my bed -- DIRTY, and I do mean DIRTY, sheets!! Called desk. Was moved to another room but was not given new key -- made it tricky to get back in after breakfast since […] the desk didn't show my in the new room. Overall -- this was not good! We were in need of a convenient to the airport, reasonably priced hotel in which to get a nights' sleep after flying in to Des Moines late at night. We found this hotel to be more than we expected for the inexpensive rate we were charged. Room very clean, bed comfortable, staff extremely cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was included - the waffles were […] a plus! We liked it so much we stayed there again the night before flying home, too. Definitely would recommend. Mehr

We stayed at the Comfort in specifically because we needed a cheap place to stay ~ and that's what we got. I waited over 10 minutes at the front desk before someone came to help me even though I used the guest phone for service as directed. The next day when I was checking out there was a new girl at the front desk but she was "busy" counting dimes. […] I stood and waited without so much as a glance from her while she slowly counted them one by one. There were about three dollars worth so you can imagine the time it took. The entire hotel smelled like mildew and it wasn't even a humid day. The continental breakfast was pretty much what you'd expect after the service and the smell. I will say that I was pleased with our room. The smell was still there and it was combined with cigarettes even though we were in a non-smoking room, but the beds were incredibly comfortable and I slept soundly. Mehr

Everything was in good repair and comfortable. If you must have a pool, this one is small but workable for a few families at a time. The breakfast options were quite varied and good quality. The walls are a little thin, and I was worried my kids were too loud, but no complaints.

double queen rooms advertized refridgerator in the room which was not there. Was was very nice, clean, and all staff friendly

we were a little disappointment when we couldn't leave our car there...that needs to be an oppion when booking on the internet....and I got over charged $18 on my credit card...but if we ever fly out of Des Moine again we will stay at the Comfort Inn

It had a comfortable room, great parking, and a pleasant breakfast. We were very pleased and will return.
