This hotel is on the edge of a new neighborhood with not much else around. It was quiet but parking lot didn't feel secure.

Good location near I-435. Very clean and updated decor. Good cafe although probably not enough capacity and staffing to handle all the traffic, as sports teams tend to stay here. Bed a bit hard, but ok. On one occasion room was not fully cleaned, as coffee cup was left out dirty but replaced in coffee nook. Really not a big deal, as that's all we found […] amiss with the housekeeping. Room did not have a hairdryer, which was surprising. Overall good value and would stay here again. Mehr

This hotel was very nice. My complaint is more or less for hotels.com, I found this hotel by searching for the nearest hotel to the Kansas City Speedway, this hotel was supposed to be 1.6 mi away... It was a good 27 mi away at least!! Needless to say we were not very happy considering we had already driven 90 mi to get there in the first place!

The hotel was great. The staff was friendly and helpful as we needed a handicap room for a comfortable stay which wasn't indicated in our initial reservation. The food menu was a little pricey; although the food was delicious. The location was easy to find. I will stay at this location again and will recommend Courtyard by Marriott South KC to my f […] riends. Mehr

Great hotel at a great value! Would recommend to family and friends. Nice indoor pool and not far from stadium. The family loved it!

I was so pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of the Courtyard Marriott in Kansas City Mo. The price from hotels.com was great!! I can't wait to go back to Kansas City and stay at the Courtyard Marriott again!!! :)

The two keys to our room failed to work our first night there. We were on the opposite end of the hotel from the front lobby and had to walk back to report this. After trying the key again and it not working we had to walk back to the front... Long story short the battery for our door had died out and the manager said he was going to need some time […] to get the door open with a special contraption. We were so tired and had no other choice but to wait in the front lobby--so we made the trek back. Staff was nice and accommodating but seemed to each have a different story. One staff member upgraded us to a suite and handed us the keys to the new room (since the door to our original room would not be fixed that night) but then another staff member tried to tell us the hotel was sold out and we would have to stay in the room--that was weird. They offered us complimentary drinks and snacks but we were too tired to take them. It was a hassle to have to switch rooms late at night, repacking our bags and hauling our luggage to the opposite end of the hotel and to a different floor was not what I wanted to do. The hallway outside our suite was also nosier with a group of teen girls just loitering in the lobby. The space was immaculate tho and the decor very chic. Mehr

Location not bad but not great, not close to many conveniences. A/C noisy, very few plugs in room, no blow dryer, no wifi in room (only in lobby, which you can only faintly pick up...room only has wired ethernet, not good for phones or tablets). Loved the bistro with Starbucks and the LCD flat panel HDTV in our room! Staff were also great.

we had a great room so nice & clean and big we were very happy and will stay there again !!! if you want a nice place close to shopping and arrowhead i would recommend this hotel !!! nice pool and hot tub , nice work out room over all we were very happy !!!!

This was a fantastic hotel. We stayed there for a wedding that was at a very expensive local hotel. This was close for us to drive back and forth to and was reasonably priced. The room was clean, comfortable and close to the pool/hot tub which was a must for us. We really enjoyed the stay. The prices in the lobby restaurant were a little high in my […] opinion but not so much that we didn't purchase. The lobby was very comfortable and the staff was friendly. My son, father and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. We really enjoyed our stay. Room was very clean and hotel staff was friendly and recommended a great pizza restaurant. Excellent value...this same hotel would have cost quite a bit more in our Texas hometown. We'll be back next year for sure.

Good hotel, nice location. Recently remodeled. Clean and in good condition. Starbucks in the lobby. The pillows weren't great but at least there were a lot of them.

This hotel was very nice, clean, pleasant staff, and we enjoyed the pool and whirlpool with our children. It was conveniently located for our Chiefs game.

I felt the front staff was kind of rude, they did not smile just checked us in like it was a job... the room it's self was nice and the housekeeping staff were nice and accomodating...

No surprises. We got everything we expected and had no disappointments. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Computers in the lobby area were always being used, so that was a pain; but this is hardly the hotel's fault.

Our room was clean and comfortable, but the overall stay was disappointing. The free internet was very slow, the TV did not have a guide or pay-per-view, and the pool was very warm and cloudy. We wanted to stay the night, order pizza, and watch TV, but with no guide or pay-per-view we decided to go out to eat and watch a movie. Hotel staff went above and beyond to serve our family and friends who joined us in KC. After the Royals game, the staff was nice enough to keep the bar open to accommodate us. We would definitely stay here again!

Our stay was ok. We were there for a basketball tournament so we really weren't in the room a whole lot. We did need to use the laundry facility every night to wash uniforms and with only one washer and dryer, sometimes the wait was long. The pool could have remained open a little longer too. Had a nice tastefully decorated room with a couch and desk in addition to the big comfortable bed. Room also had a big flat-screen television and WiFi for internet access. The location was ideal for me because I was visiting an elderly relative who lives nearby, and the free shuttle to locations within a 5 mile radius of the hotel was a real boon. Paid less for 2 nights here than 1 night at a lot of other similar hotels. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was high quality with a nice mix of pillow options. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

I was at the Courtyard by Marriott South Kansas City for five nights. The bedding was never changed but the bed was made. However, left evidences each night to determine the vacuuming effort. My room was not vacuumed a single day, from arrival to checkout. This statement is a compliment because if the room was vacuumed, it was an absolutely and extremely […] poor job. I even left a note for the room attendant that I had captured a spider under the trash can. No facial soap was provided from day of check-in until Thursday when I threw the last slither of pieces away in the TRASH. The key to my room and to external entrances worked intermittently. Usually after deciding the last attempt before heading to the desk for help, the key would finally work. On two occasions, I attempted entry over nine times which resulted in the red indicator light display and then without changing anything, the green light would appear and I would be able to enter. Very expensive because the hotel does not offer even a refrigerator for fruit or milk. Patrons are forced to eat in the expensive restaurant on site. One beer and a salad totalled over $16. POOR. If not prepaid, I would have checked out after the first night. POOR. It should be at most a 1-star. Mehr

We had tickets to the Kansas Speedway and a Royals game so this Hotel was located in a good spot so that we didn't have to drive far to go to either event. The room was great. The parking wasn't so great. The hotel was booked and when we got back late from the Royals game there was no parking available. The staff, however, was very appologetic and as […] helpful as they could be. We ended up having to park in the front drive for the night. The staff made up for the inconvenience. This was the first time I made a reservation online, and I was really nervous about what I was getting myself into. The room was wonderful. The pool opened early and closed late (great for us). I was not impressed with the cafe. We had breakfast there. The food wasn't bad, but it was grossly overpriced. I would have been better off going to Denny's […] or IHOP. I t would have been cheaper and we would have gotten more. But that was my only complaint. I will definately stay there again. Mehr

Comfortable, beautiful room with large, handicap accessible bath. The hotel lounge is elegant and would be a perfect place to meet up with guests or clients. Well manicured courtyard. Excellent customer service! Executive feel but family friendly. Highly recommend.

Very nice hotel, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Low noise, despite have multiple girls softball teams staying the same night. Staff was very courteous and friendly.

Still having issues with the old security door openers. (hotel key to enter building) I was very sick with the flu, and had to park in the very back, but the closest door would not let me in. I had to walk around the building in freezing temperatures. Also the ice maker on my floor did not work at all. Maid service was very good though.

My husband and I were here on a weedend visit with our son. This hotel was clean, spacious and comfortable. A convient location. We really like the new remodel for the dinning area. The hotel was very reasonabley priced. THis will be our 3rd visit at this hotel. Love the peope here very friendly.

Everything with great except the ethernet cable in my room was broken and was a big inconvinence.

it was a nice hotel and i really like the renovations, but the only problem i had with the hotel is that the towels feel cheap

Comfortable room, nice continental breakfast. Easy to get to in south KC, right off freeway. Their shuttle will take you where you want to go (within reason), such as to BB's Lawnside BBQ, a couple miles north, which has live music 6 nights weekly, great BBQ, and provides a friendly place that welcomes all comers, even if you come in alone.

Upon arrival we were distressed to find the hotel under renovation with NO lobby, NO restaurant and NO water available between 10 am and 5 pm. While our room was clean, when turning on the water we were met with a loud noise and rush of water as the pipes refilled. The lack of a restaurant on site, which we had planned on using, meant we had to go hunting […] for an option to our original plan. If not for the fact that other members of our party were enroute to this location, for a family funeral, we would have attempted to have the reservation changed to a location in better condition. IF there was any way of us knowing of the conditions prior to making THIS reservation, we would definitely have chosen a different hotel. Mehr

This hotel was in midst of major remodeling so front lobby was temporarily housed in small room. The room was clean but furniture and carpet were worn and dated. King-sized bed very comfortable. Bathroom was modern and clean. Wireless internet in "lobby" but unable to connect to wired in room. Reasonable prices due to remodel. Water had to be shut off […] during day. Disappointed to have no microwave or refrigerator. Definitely not on par with other Courtyards, but the location was ideal. Mehr

We had a really nice stay, rooms clean and comfy. The pool and spa were wonderful and indoors for inclement weather. The location was close to lots of activities in the surrounding areas and the buffet breakfast was awesome. lots of choices and a great wait staff.

This Hotel was a great value. The room was clean and fresh. The location was convenient to our destination. The front dest was friendly and informative about the surrounding areas. The service was excellent. The only possible negative would be that there was no comp breakfast with your nights stay. I would recemmend this hotel to all of my friends.

DIDN'T LIKE THE BREAKFAST FEE OR THE FACT THAT THE POOL WAS CLOSED IM A GROWN WOMAN I SHOULD BE ABLE TO SWIM OR GET INTO THE JACUZZI AFTER 10 PM . BUT OVERALL IF YOU JUST WANT TO GET PURE REST IT WAS OK FOR THAT BUT IM USE TO GOING TO A ROOM TO ENJOY AND HAVE FUN THERE WAS NO FUN.
