After reading some of the reviews of this LaQuinta, I had pause to reserve here. I have had a great stay here. The grounds, hotel and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and the staff handling the breakfast area are very responsive. I will stay here again. I am travelling with 2 small dogs LaQuinta is the best hotel chain […] for this. Very clean hotel, surroundings are safe, near college campus, close to Interstate. Good breakfast and notably a very friendly and helpful staff. The desk staff, janitorial and maids were all very courteous. No negatives at all. Will stay again when I return next year.

While this hotel was clean and comfortable as on would expect from La Quinta the room I had was facing the street. There were emergency vehicles going by all night and I dont mean up until 11 or 10 I mean nonstop all night. The entrance to this hotel was through a pharmacy then a medical office complex, very difficult to figure out the first time.

The heating furnace was very loud. It scared me one time when it turned on and off

It felt like a motel room instead of a 2.5 star room. Crappy hotel. I would never stay again. Not even a smile on the clerk's face. I asked for a room on quietest side of the hotel and she gave me one next to freeway. Could hear trucks roaring all night. Hotel lobby and room condition feel cheap. Internet goes on and off. The hotel entrance was hard to see at night. A better sign marking the hotel entrance or better lighting by the sign would help when it is dark outside.

I was there for only a few nights while I was working construction in the area. Loved It!

Hotel was fantastic. Security on duty at night. Front desk CSR named Brittany was extremely pleasant. Room was CLEAN and in fantastic order. AC was working great. Quiet. I believe the blinds were the kind that can block sunlight if you chose. I certainly utilized them. I feel as if I got what I paid for. It was busy. People were coming and going all […] night. The only complaint is the location is neither good nor bad. Its close to the beltway, but that area of Rosedale has been deteriorating for some time (Its next to Fontana Village). Its centrally located by a Walmart, Royal Farms, McDonalds, Panda Express...etc. I would definitely stay again. Mehr

floors and floor boards could have been cleaner in the bath area. Room was comfortable with nice tv however, the alarm was junk

This hotel was not to bad for the price and location compared to other hotels with in the same distance of downtown. Cons: All of the rooms smelled like smoke even if they were considered by the front desk to be non-smoking rooms. There seemed to be a lot of people traffic at all hours, so if you are going to stay here get a room on one of the upper […] floors or you will get woken up by people in the lobby. Trying to find the hotel off the main road was complicated. There really are no good signs posted to enter the parking lot. Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. Mehr

While close to an industrial area, the immediate surrounding area was nice... shopping center with Marshalls and Walmart right across the street that we walked to. Longhorn steak house right around the corner. Hotel employees were very friendly, personal and went out of their way to be helpful, even the manager. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a little difficult to find at first and is in a so-so neighborhood. The room was better than I expected and the staff was friendly and helpful upon check in. Breakfast was Ok but not great. However, I never could get anyone to answer the phone on the two separate occasions that I tried contacting the front desk. My husband and I stayed here for some R&R and we loved it, so much in fact we want to move to Maryland.The room was clean and the staff very attentive, unfortunately it was off season and the pool wasn't open. We will go back in the summer so we can take a dip.

We booked a non smoking room. The clerk insisted that because we booked through a "3rd party", that non smoking was considered a preference only, and that we had to take a smoking room. We said no, pressed the matter, and were given a non smoking room. (The place wasn't half full) Then, about 11 pm, we were awakened by bugs crawling about us. We caught […] 6, put them in a cup (bed bugs) and took them to the front desk. They said they would move us 2 rooms away. We didn't argue, we took showers, packed our bags and left to stay somewhere else. We didn't even ask for our money back. Mehr

The hotel was outside of Baltimore but a reasonable drive in. The staff was really helpful. For one of the less expensive hotel in the area, I have no complaints.

Upon my arrival I was assigned a room that was previously occupied by someone with a pet and it had thesmell of pet urine in the carpet. Which meant that it needed to be shampoed and wasn't. When I complained I was told that there was only one other room available on the fifth floor until I asked to speak with the manager. The manager then assigned […] me to room 320. I noticed also a terrible smell in the bathroom, which meant that the bathroom needed to be cleaned throughly with some sort of bleach and cleaning soaps. The bed was made, but it wasn't changed each day-as I took notice the one day that I was there in the afternoon. At night there was noise coming from the hallways of young people talking and making noise. As far as the breakfast area, there was limited amount of food I noticed each day and the maid on duty did not clean up after folks spoiled things on the counter tops. Overall, I thought for $103 per night wasn't worth the hassle to book again with this hotel. Mehr

The only down side to our stay was the mattresses were both very soft and we did not sleep well with rolling into the middle. This went for both beds. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay with friendly employees, inviting breakfast, very clean grounds and establishment, and reasonable price. trust your garmin or tom tom to get you there but access back onto 95 is easy as pie

The hotel staff were great, the room was clean, but the overall condition of the hotel wasn't great and the neighborhood was so-so. We were only there for 1 night so not a big deal but if we were going to make it a longer stay we would have gone a little further out to get a nicer area.

Was very dissatisfied with the amount of noise. Night of 04/17/2011; Groups of young people standing in hallway, slamming doors and disturbing the peace until 2:30 in morning. Call front desk at 10:00 PM to request transfer to quieter area...not successful. Young People were very rude...called our room twice making wise comments after we asked them […] to quiet down.. Very clean, pleasant employees. My only concern was the tub was backing up when I took a shower. I only stayed one night and reported it when checking out. Don't know if was taken care of.

This hotel was not bad - included everything I needed. Chair was dirty in my room and also in my colleagues' rooms but overall clean. TV had some issues - they could benefit from a TV upgrade for sure. Staff was very friendly and service excellent. Very convenient location for me.

Great people but it is not that clean.

Good hotel for one night. Bf need to be improved, e.g. Oatmeal was there but no hot water...

The bed smelled like pea and the toilet was dirty. The hotel breakfast was very nice and the staff was helpful. Great location for black Friday shopping. Over all I would not stay here again.

This was a clean, comfortable hotel. Staff was friendly & breakfast was great. Only problem was finding the entrance. The hotel sits behind a bank property & is not allowed to put up a sign at the driveway. We went back & forth 3-4 times trying to get in. Otherwise it was great for our needs.

This hotel was perfect for my needs. It was clean and all hotel employees were very helpfull.

I was very impressed with La Quinta Inn North. The staff was very friendly, no matter what time of the day or night it was. I was pleasantly surprised with the room. The bed is very comfortable and the layout was great. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Within last tree years we stayed in this hotel three times and always seemed like the room was just renovated.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot from this hotel. After I booked, I did a little more research and found a good amount of negative reviews. I told my fiancee' that if we got there and it was bad, we would get another hotel and cut our losses. Well, we were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted with a friendly face who was very helpful. We asked […] her about room service and she gave us fliers from restaurants who deliver and told us she would only give us ones that she would trust eating from herself. That was nice. Our room was great. The bathroom was spotless and the main room was very clean and tidy. Everything worked perfectly (except the television remote; I think the batteries needed changing, but that's hardly a deal-breaker). The bed was comfy, the hot water was hot and the cold water was cold. The free wireless internet worked great (although it was pretty slow in the morning. Sharing it with everyone else searching for directions, etc was a bit depressing) when we had to search for our destinations for our day. The free breakfast was also great. They had a wide selection of foods, including a waffle iron to make your own waffles. It was one of the better hotel breakfasts we have had in a stay-over in a while. I stay in a lot of hotels for one-nighters when traveling and I have to say this was one of the best I have stayed in. Mehr
