Dieses Hotel hat uns als Schlafstätte für einen Weekend-Trip mit Freunden gedient. Die Lage ist ziemlich gut. Das gratis WiFi hat leider nicht wirklich funktioniert, nach kurzem Telefonat an die Reception haben wir aber auch schon ein Ethernet-Kabel erhalten. Die Zimmer sind eher klein haben aber alles was man braucht. Die Betten sind super bequem. […] Das Personal war freundlich. Hotel liegt in der Nähe eines schönene Parks, aber relativ weit vom Stadtzentrum (30 - 40 Gehminuten). Zimmer sind o.k. Frühstücksraum wirkt etwas ungemütlich und das Frühstücksangebot ist auch nicht umwerfend. Die Wahl des Hotels ist ein Kompromiss im Hinblick auf Lage und Preis.

Diese Best Western Hotel sollte sofort aud dem Angebot gestrichen werden. Es ist uralt, die Zimmer sind total billig, die Wände und Fenster hellhörig und die Fahrstühle und Einrichtung drittklassig. Der vermeintliche Swimmingpool war ohne Wasser und daher nicht benutzbar. Relativ günstiges Hotel, grosse Zimmer, ordentlilche Lage. Infrastruktur eher mässig mit verschmutzten Scheiben. Habe ein Raucherzimmer anstelle des bestellten Nichtraucherzimmers erhalten

I was surprised at how nice the room was.

Nothing fancy, but a great stay at a great value price. BW Grant Park hotel is two blocks from the loop train or CTA - makes all of Chicago extremely accessible. The wireless internet connection is lousy so don't expect much. Otherwise, a great stay.

I was not happy that one of the two rooms I reserved was a smoking room. When I first got there to check in, the front desk employee was not very attentive, answering phones, etc. while checking us in.

Not the most glamorous hotel but its cheap and conveniently located on Michigan Ave less than a mile from The Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum and Soldier Field. Very safe neighborhood and good customer service. Only downfall is if you are going to watch much tv I would go elsewhere they have an old console tv and 35 channel.

Location cant be beat! Can walk to so much!!

The room was one of the most beautiful I've stayed in in a while. We did not have a room with a great view but the room itself was fabulous. We were close to the Art Institute and Grant Park. We had amazing pizza 2 blocks away. There was a king size bed and a sleeper sofa in an alcove. Refrigerator and microwave. The valet service was EXPENSIVE but […] the car is locked in a fenced-in garage. The rooms are well insulated but the doors to the rooms do not close quietly. We were awakened at 5:00 a.m. by a tour group collecting their members so the slamming never stopped. Mehr

Hotel specifics were all satisfactory, great room for the price.

I've stayed here before and enjoyed it. This time was no different. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfortable. Although it is on the south end of Michigan Avenue, it's still a good location.

Great Location for Shedd Aquarium and the museum. Beds were very comfortable. Had to pay for parking at hotel, I think it should be included in the price but they charge extra.

We had an overnight stay in Chicago last minute for business. This place had a good room rate considering the alternatives, was located close to where we needed to conduct our business and also had free internet. The Roosevelt CTA line was a short walk away and was a good mode of transportation. The restaurant connected to the hotel had a good breakfast […] (the buffet was not available at the time) although the coffee was a bit on the cool side. The rooms were clean w/ a nice flow of hot water in the shower. The negatives were that when we first arrived the internet was sloooooooooooow to the point where it wasn't worth even trying to use. I spoke to the desk clerk before we went out for dinner and by the time we got back a few hours later it seemed to be working better. The other negative would be the parking situation. Aside from the fact that I wasn't aware there was an additional parking fee, it wasn't clear where I was supposed to park my car for the valet and you can only access your call within certain hours. Overall a good experience w/ some minor inconveniences. Considering the rates I really can't complain too much. Mehr

Within walking distance of many of the major attractions. Big plus with the price of parking downtown. Very friendly and helpful staff.

if your planning to sleep in forget about it. Dump truck or grabage truck are out at least 7:30 or 8:00 am and it seem that every hotel i stayed at the ice machine is borken. Staying in down town chicago is cool and all cause there's a lot to do, but over all it was a good stay.

Non existent room-insulation. you either have to freeze the entire night or you will have to put on the air-conditioner, which is hard to regulate and makes a lot of noise. Wi-Fi service is slow an I had a lot of problems while trying to connect to the service.

We were surprised how great this hotel was. We had a awesome view and the staff was very helpful. Tracy sent us to a sports bar called Scouts. It was great. Thanks Tracy.

This is an hotel which gave me the worst experience. I have not stayed in a hotel as worse as this one. The staff were very discourteous. Please do not be carried away by the special facilities such as valet parking and crib that they offer. Special requests that you make while booking are never considered when you check in. We were travelling with […] our 2 month old baby and had made a special request for a crib while making the reservation. We were not given a crib when we checked in. Our baby had to spend two sleep less nights in the hotel. We were told that these facilities are offered on a first come first serve basis. This applied to the valet parking as well. The telephone in our room was not working. The problem was not fixed even though a request was made with the staff. The room is extremely small and dingy and it stinks. I would not recommend this hotel to any one. Mehr

I was pleased with my stay at this hotel. While looking for a value hotel on this website I noted that this particular hotel had better customer ratings than other similarly priced ones. The hotel looked a little "shady" on the outside (I believe it is due to the white window treatments that make the building appear unattractive), however, once inside, […] the building was decorated beautifully and very clean. Staff was very friendly and the room was comparable to a hampton inn/courtyard marriott/holiday inn hotel room. Location was two blocks from the red line and near grocery stores/dining. It was a nice and quiet location! The only complaints I have is that the hotel needs major updating and better pillows! Otherwise we were very happy with the price, cleanliness,the kind staff, and the location!

I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel was conveniently located with a bus stop leading up Michigan Avenue was just across the street. The room was clean and the mattress was firm and felt new. This hotel was within miles of downtown with a bus stop very close by. The luggage check service was great since we got in really early and didn't want to worry about our luggage while we went around downtown. The bed was pretty comfortable with enough pillows. We have used Best Western Grant Park 5-6 times now, and have been very satisfied. location is great, staff are accomodating.

Excellent location. Only 5 mins walk to Roosevelt station and very close to other public transportation. The hotel is somewhat old, but everything was very clean. My only complaint is that the internet was on and off. It was working well for a couple of days, but it went down for a few days and they could not fix it. The hotel is located just south of the Magnificent mile and Chicago loop. It is just a couple of blocks away from the Red line and Orang line (trains). It is steps away from restaurants, a grocery store, and night life. My hotel room was very clean and neatly organized.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days. It was an awesome experience. The location is excellent as it's very close to most of the attractions in Chicago downtown. The services were good, the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating. The only thing we didn't like so much is that the airconditioning was a bit noisy. My mom and I had a girls' weekend in Chicago enjoying a few local museums, the city in holiday mode and lots of yummy Puerto Rican food. We needed a place to stay that was easy on the pocketbook as we were driving from Ohio & would have parking, museum admission, food, shopping & other costs. I found a couple other options that were a bit more and had […] slightly higher ratings but this one had good reviews the price was right. We needed to stay 2 nights so saving $$ was extra important. The room was a bit small but it was just the 2 of us and we didn't need much. It had the usual little coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge which came in handy. Everything was clean and the location was AWESOME! We also had a great view of Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, Grant Park and city skyscrapers. Parking is extra but about the same as other places. There's a minimal difference between self park & valet so we enjoyed the valet option as the weather was the coldest of the season so far. We could get to the Paseo Boricua and Pilsen neighborhoods in about 15-20 min. and Shedd Aquarium was a short 5-10 min. drive away. We also took a nightime drive through the Magnificent Mile which we hit within about 5 min. of getting in the car. We'll definitely keep this one on our list of great economic stays in Chi-town. Staff was plearent and hel[ful. Curtains in room would not close completely. Bath room was very small by todays standards. Room was clean.

I stayed for two nights on December of 2011. Great clean hotel, very good price for the area. Excellent, polite staff. Very convenient location on S. Michigan avenue. I strongly recommend it.

PRO: Conveniently located in downtown chicago and reasonably priced. Cons: I was in Chicago for work and internet connection was a MUST. I had trouble connecting to the internet and even connection with an ethernet cord was bad. Tech came to room twice and connection was still no good. I had to go to Starbucks to do my work. Nightstand lamp was not […] working. Air conditioning/heating unit not working - had to call tech 3 times!! I will never stay at this hotel again. Mehr
