Es war alles in Ordnung. Die Zimmer sauber, der Service einwandfrei. Vor dem Haus bedienen 2 Buslinien die Haltestelle, sodass man maximal 10 Minuten auf den nächsten Bus warten muss, der dann in 10-15 Minuten am Hauptbahnhof ist. So gesehen, ist das Hotel wirklich gut gelegen. Störend war nur die laute Straße. Fenster offen lassen war nur mit Oropax möglich. Wenn möglich, sollte man ein Zimmer auf die andere Seite buchen, da ist es bestimmt leiser.

sehr gut, gute Lage ca. 5 Min zur Trainstation, Frühstück zu teuer - 16 Euro, Alternative in einer Bar gegenüber für ca. 8 Euro.

NH Schiller befindet sich mitten in Amsterdam. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar: Rembrandtplein und Magere Brug. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe gehören: Begijnhof und Amsterdam Museum.

Die Herengracht und die Keizersgracht repräsentieren mit ihren prächtigen Patrizierhäusern aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert das klassische Amsterdam. Einige dieser Häuser dienen heute als Museum, darunter auch das so genannte Kattenkabinet, das wohl zu den exzentrischsten Museen Amsterdams zählt. Die Amstel ist ein kanalisierter Fluss, auf dem sich zahlreiche Hausboote befinden und der zwischen der Keizersgracht und der Prinsengracht von der viel fotografierten Magere Brug (Magere Brücke) überspannt wird. Der schwimmende Blumenmarkt ist ebenfalls ein beliebtes Fotomotiv.

die Angabe der Zimmergrösse wäre sehr hilfreich; bei den Standardzimmer handelt es sich um einen Raum mit 22 qm einem Bett mit 1,50m Breite und einem sehr kleinen Schrank: alles in allem ein Einzelzimmer aber nie ein Doppelzimmer

Lage des Hotels sehr gut. Zimmer auf Hofseite empfehlenswert, da auf dem Rembrandtplein mit Discos, Coffee-Shops, Pubs usw. etliche Lärmquellen vorhanden sind. Frühstück ist zu teuer. Obwohl wir noch am Essen waren, wurde das Buffet ohne Vorwarnung abgeräumt. Trotz Nachfrage will man an der Reception kein Deutsch sprechen, sondern wird auf Englisch […] bedient. "Horror 3 Nächte nur Lärm / Gäste nicht wilkommen"
Sehr schönes Zimmer, Top Lage , zwar nicht sehr sauber, aber dafür Mitten in Amsterdam. Internet hat gut in der Eingangshalle funktioniert. Mitarbeiter an der Reception sind nicht unbedingt freundlich. Sehr unanständig, haben immer miteinander holländisch gesprochen (leider kann ich es auch verstehen). Gäste waren nicht unbedingt willkommen. Ich würde […] dieses Hotel aber niemanden empfehlen, dass der Lärm jeden Morgen bis zum Teil bis 05:00 Uhr ging. Das Hotel ist seinen Preis nicht Wert. Auch wurden uns falsche Parkplatzpreise angegeben. Anstatt 15 EUR mussten wir pro Tag 50 EUR bezahlen. Wirklich eine S… und der Service hat nicht geklappt. Mehr
even though I had booked a twin room we were giving a double an told that was what we booked. we were giving a twin room at back of hotel which did not compare with the first one it was as if we were of no importance, despite this we did enjoy our stay and the room had all we needed, we would stay there again.

"NH Schiller too noisy"
Saturday night stay on the 3rd floor at the front and we didn't get a wink of sleep. Its was like a horrific party I didn't want to be at. The noise from Rembrandt pleiz was unbelievable and there was no double glazing. If thats what you want stay at the Schiller if you want to sleep at night don't.
"Nice location but thats about it"
This hotel is smack in the middle of Rembrandt square. You are a few steps away from great restaurants and some great attractions. The hotel looks good from the outside and walking in, you get a feeling of the old dutch grandeur. The rooms are quite roomy as well, with great views of the square. However, you pay for internet and a lot. It is 18 euros […] for one day of internet, and that is just ridiculous. Mobile internet (iPad included) is 8 euros. In this day and age, I don't get how high end hotels continue to charge for internet. Moreover, my bathroom smelled really bad. I was there for two nights, but I didn't want to bother changing rooms. I did regret it on the second night, but what is amazing is that the cleaning staff didn't smell it and address it. There is no air-conditioning in the hotel, so it might not be comfortable in summer. I was there in March and it was hot in my room, enough to keep me up at night. The bed is not very comfortable and it was two single beds put together. While I didn't order room service (you don't need to with the Burger Bar, and Wok to Walk a few meters away), the menu didn't have anything to tingle my taste buds. So I advise passing on this hotel. In my opinion, it was not worth it. There are cheaper, better alternatives around. Mehr
"Great choice in Amsterdam"
The hotel is very conveniently situated right outside the Tram 9 stop for Rembrandt Square. The coffee shop next door was very inviting. The noise levels were not unmanageable as often reviewed by others. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. Great hotel - I'll be back
The hotel was located next to the center, so it was easy to walk everywhere. There were a lot of bars next to the hotel and the music played all night long. This made sleeping quite a hard.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, off to a good start when we were upgraded to the suite. The amenities were the same but the room was much larger and on the top floor so less street noise. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels given. The rooms have a minibar/fridge and the usual tea making facilities. […] There was a hairdryer in the bathroom and it was pretty good. The TV had BBC1/2/News and a few europen channels in english with Dutch subtitles. The hotel has 6 floors but there are 2 small lifts. There is a restaurant on site but we didn't go in, it looked lovely though. There is room service available too. The hotel is in a busy square but they provided us with ear plugs. It was within walking distance to most things, about 20 minutes to the museum district, 10 minutes to the red light district and 2 minutes to the flower market. There are a couple of large clubs on the square and plenty of restaurants and cafes within a couple of minutes of the hotel. I think this hotel was great value and I would recommend it highly. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it. Very good location - very close to the tram line which made it easy to get to all places. Overlooking the square which added to the atmosphere. Reception were very helpful with directions and bookings.

This hotel is in Rembrandtplein, which is an extremely vibrant square until 4am, I suggest a long nap after dinner and then go out and enjoy what Amsterdam has to offer! The hotel does supply earplugs on the nightstand, at least our room did because it was facing the square. The trams run right thru the square and take you to where ever you may want […] to go, including the Central Railway Station. Staff could've been friendlier, but I think that's a European thing: not wanting to engage in conversation with the guests. Simple eye contact and a "good morning" would've made this stay perfect. It's in the perfect location and is literally next door to a coffee shop, facing Escape Club and surrounded by bars and restaurants. The hotel was OK, nothing to write home about. Have stayed in NH hotels before and this one was looking very tired in comparison. The location was right in the city centre and we hadn't appreciated that the bars and restaurants in front of the hotel would be open till 2 & 3 am so our room was quiet noisy till the early hours of the morning and as it […] was very hot we couldn't have the window open due to the noise. "In the middle of the club scene"
NH Schiller was nice on the inside and our room was very modern and clean. The location was next to a few different clubs, where the music was so loud and the people were out until 4:00am made this hotel location our worst nightmare. The hotel is in the middle of all the action. Great location, ease of access to most attractions. However I have just one minor complaint and it could be a bad coincidence but we requested for a cab to go to train station since it was raining. Somehow our cab never showed up! There was a cab waiting outside but I was told if it was mine the guy would […] walk in. However a few mins later, a couple walks down, checks out and sits in the cab and goes away! This hotel is right on one of the Rembrandt (nicer central) squares/public parks. There're handful of restaurants and pubs in the area. There're nicer small restaurants where the locals hang out on the secondary street around the theatre district (a block east of the Grass Hopper). We got a room on the corner top floor, very charming if you don't mind slanting roof/ceiling as part of the charm. There's a separate small sitting room. That is a plus since all European Hotels are quite small. There is a small window with view right on to the square, that could be a noise issue for some but it is fine for us. They also offer an upgrade when we check in. That, we don't like; to play game when we check in. Public transportation is very convenience. You can also walk to many of the city attractions, other squares if you're a walker. The Van Gogh and the Modern (Rembrandt) Museums are a must for those who appreciate some culture. The suburb tour is very nice. The city boat tour is a must but you can also ride the tram on the city pass to view the same at no extra cost since you need that anyway. Mehr

"NH Schiller Hotel -Amsterdam: great location!"
The NH Schiller is a charming, older-styled hotel located in one of Amsterdam's best-loved squares - Rembrandtplein. My huge and well-equipped room had views directly out onto the bustling square and was a haven of comfort after a busy business day. With direct tram access to Central Station and the RAI exhibition Centre just across the square, the […] Schiller is ideally placed for touring Amsterdam. Its friendly, helpful and informative staff are one of its many strengths as are the reasonably priced meals in the Brasserie Schiller and the excellent Breakfast Buffet. Whilst not the cheapest hotel in central Amsterdam the Schiller is great value for money when you take into consideration all its PLUS factors. I have now stayed there 5 times and it is always a joy to go back. Mehr

We were traveling with another couple and they got the bigger room overlooking a courtyard and we got a smaller room overlooking a busy square withe a disco that boomed long into the night. The earplugs supplied on our night stand should have been the first clue. would stay there again if guaranteed a back room.
