My daughter and I stayed overnight to check out a prospective job. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and conveniently located on the island. The staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly in helping us navigate our way around the island as first time visitors. Would definately stay again. Also, was reasonably priced for the island.

Pretty quiet in February on MV! But staff was welcoming and friendly. Recommended a couple of places that were open for dinner on a Sunday night. Nice clean room. Front desk staff were very helpful. Hotel a little bit of a walk or short shuttle drive from the stretch of Main Street that has all the shops and restaurants. The Clarion Carriage House is part of a nationwide chain of hotels, which have high standards but hardly rank next to the personalized and intimate service of a B & B. the hotel was nice and convenient to our friends house to whom we had to visit after passing of a loved one. upset that at 230 am the fire alarms went off and no one was informed of anything. not only did it go off once for 1/2 hour it repeatedly went off 3 more times. we were never given an apology or any compensation for the inconvenience. also--they […] slipped the wrong bill under our door with a rate much lower then mine. Great, great, great !!! Location and hotel. For the price is a wonderful place to stay. There is a grocery store just a few steps, just cross the parking lot. The hotel provides you with a small fridge and microwave. We rented a car and went all around the island.

The least expensive hotel in Edgartown with no minimum night stay and a 24 hour cancellation policy. All kinds of shops and restaurants between you and lands' end, .08 miles away at the Chappy Ferry. Very clean room, friendly but wisecracking service, granted our late check out request, and stored our bags for 6 hours after check out until we had time […] to come back for them that night. This hotel actually does have handicap access. The handicap bedroom does not have a roll-in shower, but does have a chair in the tub. I mention this because the popular myth is that the Harbor View is the only handi-cap friendly hotel on the island. This is not the case, but you have to call places like this and talk to them about what they have.

The hotel is modern and clean. However it has some issues which potential visitors should consider . Firstly the breakfast is some pkts of cereal , a few buns in wrappers and coffee in a thermos. The hotel has a bar, it is noisy and not often occupied by guests but by locals, this applies to the car park aswell, with locals using it and causing residents […] to parking further from the entrance than is needed. Additionally and uniquely in all the countries I have visited including the USA 52 times, a envelope asking for a gratuity for the housekeeper. I was dumbfounded as if I find the service to be above what I have paid for I will leave something. But an envelope spelling it out and the name of the housekeeper was in my opinion tactless. Very convenient hotel. Right on Upper Main St., and surprisingly quiet for the location. Easy to get food from nearby market and many nearby eateries and places to walk. Quiet, clean, comfortable and a great place to rest after a day of activities on the island.

This is about the only chain hotel on Martha's Vineyard. It was very convenient to Edgartown as well as Oak Bluffs. There are several places within walking distance and if you don't mind a 15-20 minute walk, you can get downtown to Edgartown. It was clean and friendly and very comfortable beds. We are used to staying in luxury accommodations but nothing was available so we stayed at the Clarion. It was surprisingly doable! The location was perfect for fun walks and great restaurants. The hotel even offers 20% off your meals at the Grill which is a fantastic deal. Front desk ladies were wonderful! Hotel breakfast was a bit pathetic but better than nothing. The in season price tag is high but there was a fridge and a microwave and stop and shop was right next door so that with the cereal, English muffin,Danish, coffee and tea breakfast that was included we prob defrayed some overall costs. Booking through Hotels.com did not give us our triple A discount nor did the Clairion. Disa;ppointed that the restaurant was not open for breakfast, but the Continental was adequate.

The Clarion Carriage House Inn was clean and well kept. The mini-fridge was a nice addition for keeping fresh fruit and drinks. The complimentary breakfast was simple but completely satisfying. The location was great with just a short drive into the Edgartown waterfront. Enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend.

While the room was clean and assessible to the beaches and activities (by car), the rooms were quite costly. The continental breakfast was limited - no waffles, yogurt, or fruit other than apples. On our first morning, the maintenance workers were repairing lights and hanging pictures. The Clarion Edgartown is located on a busy street so stay away from the rooms at the front of the building. It is adjacent to s strip shopping area with lots of cars coming and going. I was extremely impressed with this hotel. It is very modern, with it's granite counter top and nice and hot shower! There is also continental breakfast served daily. You should bring you lap top because the media center is a blast from the past! There is also a television, microwave, coffee pot and fridge in room. It is located less than 100 yards from a grocery store, a bank, and a restaurant call the Grill which gives a 20% discount if you are staying at the hotel.
