Wir hatten in Gloucester eine Whale Watching Tour gebucht. Dort waren die Übernachtungspreise sehr hoch. Danvers war eine günstigere Alternative. Das Essen war ziemlich schlecht - auch für amerikanische Verhältnisse. Einen Safe hatte das Zimmer leider auch nicht. Der W-Lan-Router war direkt am Kopfende des Bestes. Die Lage ist sehr verkehrsgünstig.

Gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in der Nähe von Boston, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter am Empfang, Zimmer mit 2 großen Betten ausreichend auch für 4 Personen, Frühstück o.k.

Leider hatten wir zwei Zimmer im Souterain, eins davon mit Blick nach draußen, eines mit Blick in ein riesiges Betonloch. Das war so gruselig, dass unsere 17jährige Tochter dort nicht alleine schlafen wollte. Die Erwartungen insgesamt sollten nicht zu hoch gehängt werden. Frühstück sehr amerikanisch mit ausschließlich Plastik Geschirr/Besteck, aber […] immerhin auch Joghurt im Angebot! Die Gäste ebenfalls etwas gruselig, wahrscheinlich der Hotelkategorie 2Sterne entsprechend. Zimmer hübsch eingerichtet, leider völlig durchgelegene Matratzen. Die Souterain-Zimmer hatten auch schon leichte Feuchtigkeitsschäden unten an den Zimmerwänden. Sehr zuvorkommender Serbice: hatten 4 Tage vorgebucht ohne Stornomöglichkeit, mussten we. Hurrikan vorzeitig abbrechen. Kein Problem mit Rückerstattung. Insgesamt: UnterBerücksichtigung des Preises i.O. für die Durchreise, als Urlaubsresidenz vielleicht weniger geeignet. Mehr

Wir erhielten leider ein Zimmer im Untergeschoss, das recht dunkel war und dessen Fenster man nicht öffnen konnte, ansonsten guter Gesamteindruck

It was terrible. We were directed to a basement room on floor 1 which was damp. The beds were so uncomfortable; my husband and I had bad backaches all the following day. The only thing we liked about the room was the shower....it was great. As to the breakfast: we asked the girl in charge of the breakfast room if the flat egg patties were made from […] real eggs and her answer was no. She said she did not know what the "egg patties" were made from. All of the (suposidly hot) food in the stainless steel servers was cold and tasted awful. The breads and pastries were stale and cold. We saw young people bringing into the hotel four large cases of beer (45 beers to the case). Thank goodness the all-night party was not on our floor. We will never go back to this hotel ever again! Although room was o.k. The beds were awful, very soft and squishy. Maid was VERY ANNOYING. Began knocking on door (4 seperate times) well before the checkout time of noon and ignored me when I told her to check with the front desk as I had requested and was allowed to check out at 1:00 pm. I reserved this room for my daughter and family and they told me they were very comfortable. They enjoyed the breakfasts and the pool. When I booked the room the staff was very helpful and meet all our needs.

The hotel was very nice, but we found out they were doing construction when we got there. The signs in the hotel say they could be using jackhammers as early as 7am. We got a room on the top floor and is wasn't a problem at all. I think it's supposed to be finished in December 2012.

The good: clean room, ref and microwave oven in the room, and good selection of breakfast. The bad: door knob lock and exhaust fan of the bathroom doesnt work!

Breakfast had spongey eggs-cold and not edible-Coffee OK but not Hot Only Apples and Oranges-No Healthy FOOD! Gym was Hot- Really inferior Gym equipment-NO Free weights-NO Mats-No AIR! Kindly reimburse us as Room was inferior as well asTV only had 10 channels!and Radio did not have reception!

following the gps was able to find but was very difficult and the driveway was so close to the corner I needed to block traffic to maneuver in. There were no restaurants within walking distance, although there was one who was advertised to deliver to the hotel. We used them for dinner. Nice, clean, not much to complain about; but not stellar or above and beyond reproach. If you're not picky about what kind of hotel you stay in, this is ideal - neat, clean, and quiet. The only issue was that they are redoing the parking lot, so it was extremely difficult to find parking, but hopefully that will be done before the end of winter.

The customer service of the breakfast and behind desk was very cordial, and helpful. The room was very neat and clean. There was only one lamp between double beds which made it very inconvienent for one person to read and another to sleep. There was no fan in bathroom, so it got very steamy and hot.

Hoel staff were very friendly! Also very helpful as we wanted to visit Salem MA while staying here, they gave us a map and directions. Room was clean and breakfast was good.

This place stinks. Aside from being dingy and in need of a deep cleaning, the whole place reeks of cigarette smoke. Even in the "non-smoking" rooms. Totally gross and totally unacceptable.

The woman who checked us in was rude, the room was in need of some deep cleaning and repair, the floors in the hallways were oddly uneven, the room itself was dingy, dark, and just looked like it was badly in need of a deep cleaning. The bed was so uncomfortable the mattress needs replacing. The most important things we appreciated were the cleanliness of the hotel and the exceptionally helpful staff. We were very satisfied with the free breakfast each morning. So many choices accommodated everyone in our family. When in the area we will definitely stay here again. The only down side to the hotel was the indoor pool not in use, it was being […] renovated. The indoor pool was the main reason we chose to stay there for our granddaughters use. Other than that slight disapointment we were very satisfied with our stay at this property. When we arrived in the room, there were pillows with no pillow cases and no toilet paper. Most uncomfortable bed I believe I have ever slept in. No info in the room about restaurants, shopping, etc.

I was promised a non-smoking room but the desk said Expedia told them I wanted a smoking room. It was clean but unhealthy. There is quite limited eating opportunities nearby. Entire stay was disappointing.

Not happy that Expedia, change our room to smoking from Non-smoking. Hotel staff stated they could not change, place was full. Thought public places were smoke free but not in Mass? Hallway even smelled of smoke. Cont breakfast good. Staff were pleasent. Might stay again?????

We picked this hotel since it had an outdoor pool.....and then didn't have time to use it! The hotel isn't too far off the main roads but would be hard to find without a GPS. While the rooms are older looking and have stained carpets they are quite comfortable. The breakfast is OK too.

I was a little disappointed by the maid service. I stayed for a week, they came and cleaned the room, but never replaced the washclothes. It didn't make sense to me, they replaced the soap and towels. Not a bad hotel, a bit dated.

great staff, rooms, breakfast! The only downside was the free wifi, but three out of three hotels had free wifi that didn't work. The difference was the staff directed us to someone who could fix the problem. :o)

We enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed a swim in the pool but were quite disappointed that we couldn't swim in the outdoor pool as it was very nice and warm outside. The breakfast was fine and had enough variety.

The room was nice enough. I had to call for a hairdryer. Ours was missing from the wall bracket. The outdoor pool was closed, It had not yet been inspected. The indoor pool needed either repainting or serious cleaning. The side walls were stained. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.
