"Tolles preiswertes Motel in Santa Monica"

Feb. 2013Wir hatten einen "Courtyard" Room, also Innenhof gebucht, und der war auch sehr idyllisch. 2 Gasgrills zur Freien Verfügung, diverse Liegen, und Keycard-gesicherte Innenhof-Zugangstür . Das Zimmer mit kleiner Kitchenette und Kühlschrank war sehr behaglich eingerichtet, und unser King Bett super bequem! Der Strand ist allerdings noch ca 3 Meilen (stur geradeaus) entfernt, das geht aus der Beschreibung nicht so richtig hervor. Dennoch für diese Lage ein Top Motel. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind, dann buchen wir ganz sicher wieder hier!

Am Rodeo Drive wird der Lebensstil der Reichen und Berühmten besonders gut sichtbar. Die Boutiquen dort bieten von Armani bis Zegna alles. Es ist kein Zufall, dass sich ausgezeichnete Secondhandläden im Melrose District östlich von Beverly Hills niedergelassen haben. Im Melrose District befinden sich viele aufsteigende Designstudios. I stayed in a king bungalow room and it was absolutely amazing. The staff treat you so well and with the utmost respect, no matter what walk of life you may come from. I think it's easy to get intimidated in Beverly Hills if you're not driving a super fancy car, but really, the valets and all the rest of the staff are so cordial and nice. The room was […] fantastic as well. Walking out to the bungalows, you feel like you could easily get lost, but for me, that was the point. One of the best hotel experiences ever. The facility is just as you imagine - a hollywood classic with beautiful grounds, exquisite details, and a non to yesteryear. But the staff is top-notch - and that makes it exceptional. From the valet greeting us, the bellman helping with our bags, the front desk making a quick and painless check-in, the bellman […] meeting us at the door with our bags (did not wait 1 minute!!), the concierge quick with great recomendations (loved Il Fornaio), and on and on. The Polo Lounge was great too - we ate there twice! The spa was intimate with great service! The pool had enough chairs for everyone and attentive pool boys. We had arrived from Australia very early in the morning after a VERY long flight and had requested 2 rooms, one for an early check-in. The Hotel was wonderful...making sure that 1 of rooms were ready so we could shower and rest. We were then told to go to a wonderful Italian restaurant right on Rodeo Dr for an early lunch! The service at the poolside […] cafe was marvelous, as was the food. My only complaint is that I purchased a robe at the Gift Shop and when I opened it said "Bride" on the back! Ha Ha Ha! I'm 55...hardly a Bride, but thought perhaps the salesclerk would have just confirmed that I knew it said that on the back...I will try to return it...All in all, we were delighted to stay in the iconic Hotel and it was evrything we had hoped for, especially as our first resting place in California! "Fabulous visit...will always stay here when in LA."
We had a garden room for two days and standard room for the third day on the 3rd floor. Although the garden room had a fireplace and a huge closet...the bathroom was very small...the upstairs room had a much better layout and a newer and updated fabulous bathroom. We won't book a garden room with patio again. "They treat you like royalty"
Royalty, that's what we felt like from the first moment we pulled up to this gorgeous hotel. The attentiveness of the valet staff was superb, professional and friendly. The front desk clerk efficient and very personable. We were taken for a tour of the hotel and since our room was not quite ready, we arrived 2 hours before check-in we opted to have […] lunch in the polo lounge which was delicous and lovely. This is a wonderful hotel! We got there and I realized we had reserved a king instead of a double. No problem, the kind young lady switched us right away -- no game pretending like they have nothing. Stayed with two kids in cavernous room! Had a family dance party right in the middle. Pool is fantastic. Parking a bit steep, but they had the car waiting […] for us every time! I cannot say enough, this is a fabulous property with a great pool and close to everything. I like the Beverly Wilshire and the Four Season, but I love the Beverly Hills Hotel!! Stayed one night for business/pleasure and had a fantastic experience. Very quiet and well run. Every staff member was friendly - in the hall, when bringing an iron (FAST too), at the restaurants. Arrived an hour before check in but room was ready. Lots of small nice touches like water bottles in your room and a little fruit plate when we arrived. Furnishings […] and fixtures in top condition despite the age of the building. Very expensive but seems to live up to the pricing. "Great classic LA hotel that delivers"
We had a great stay at the BHH. The room was clean, impeccable with nice furniture etc. The bedding was excellent, nice bathrooms, etc. The staff was great: high class service for a high price. The rest of the hotel is definitely nicer than the gym, which was ok, not great. It is downstairs, has no views and some treadmills, elliptical and weightlifting […] machines. The pool is nice but was quite crowded. Getting a spot can be a bit of a pain. Service there, though, was fine. Quite a scene but a bit of a pain. Food and drinks where consistently good. The hotel was very clean, and tidy. The service upon arrival was excellent, but did fall away after the first day. The location is very inconvenient. If you are looking for a quite get away with nothing within reasonable walking distance and you like paying a fortune for a poor quality of food at the restaurant, or via room service then this will suit. […] If you are driving in LA then the hotel would be great, a Taxi is required to go anywhere otherwise. Each device you use at the hotel requires you to pay $10 per day for internet access, I found this very disappointing as you are paying alot to stay at the hotel already. The restrictions on evening meals at the restaurant were a pain, especially as we were on holidays, you require a jacket, or formal dress, which does not fall within the normal packing for a holiday.
