Nur ca. 80 m von der Metrostation Deak Ference entfernt. Großteil der Sehenswürdigkeiten von dort aus zu Fuß erreichbar. Ansonsten optimale Anbindung an Metro, Straßenbahn und Bus. Das Hotel selber kann ich jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis passen.

Das Hotel befindet sich in der Nähe der EXPO. Da wir ein Auto dabei hatten, war mfür mich der kostenlose Parkplatz direkt vor dem Hotel super. In anderen Hotels in BUD musste ich immer bis zu 16 EUR zahlen. Dafür ist man hier etwas abseits, jedoch in ca. 10 minuten mitten in BUD. Das Frühstücksbuffet entsprach den Erwartungen. Auswahl an Eierspeisen und Wurst war besser als im Mercure. Und das beste, hier noch alles inkl. Auf dem Dach gibt es auch noch einen WellnessBereich. Hier der Abstrich, die Sauna wurde leider erst am abend angeschaltet und der Jacuzi war leider abends um 7 immer noch auf 29 Grad. DIeser wurde zwar an diesem Tag gereinigt, doch dies hätte man auch am Vormittag machen können, so dass am Abend dieser auch zu benutzen ist! Ansonsten, tolles Hotel. Ich werde beim nächsten mal dieses wieder buchen. TIP: LH hat mir dieses Hotel schon mal angeboten, als mein Flug leider nicht zurück nach FRA starten konnte

"Schönes Hotel und angenehmer Aufenthalt"Bewertet von P&R T aus "Deutschland" am 9. Apr. 2012
Lage: Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs, in einer etwas ruhigeren Seitenstraße und ist relativ einfach zu finden. Die Stadt-Busse fahren fast direkt vor dem Hotel vorbei, so dass man diese wunderbar für die Fahrt in den Stadtkern nutzten kann. Die Tickets konnten wir direkt im Hotel kaufen. Hotel: Das Hotel macht schon von Außen einen sehr schönen und gepflegten Eindruck und auch der Empfangsbreich sowie die Aufzüge und Flure alles super sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Die Empfangsmitarbeiter waren sehr nett und man konnte alles auf Deutsch erledigen. Zimmer: Die Zimmer waren sauber, nur im Bad waren ein paar kleine Stellen, die noch genauer geputzt hätten werden können und die Dusche hätte von Außen eine neue Fuge benötigt. Aber die Dusche im innreren und die Amaturen waren sauber und in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Das Bett war super bequem und auch sehr schön groß! Der Ausblick aus unserem Zimmer im obersten Stockwerk war sehr schön. Das Zimmer war sehr warm, da wir die Klimaanlage nicht zum laufen gebracht haben, aber wir haben das Fenster zum Balkon geöffnet und das war dann sehr angenehm. Schwimmbad/Restaurant: Haben wir beides nicht benutzt und können dazu nichts sagen. Frühstück: Die Auswahl war umfangreich, viele frische Früchte und Müsli, verschiedene Brote, Wurst und Käse. Auch warme Speisen. Es war für jeden etwas dabei. Tiefgarage: Wir haben den Tiefgaragenplatz genutzt, weil unser Auto ziemlich neu ist. Leider ist die Abfahrt in das zweite UG ziemglich eng und steil, so dass man vorsichtig fahren bzw. sein Auto gut kennen sollte. Aber ansonsten ist die Garage sehr parktisch und sauber. Abschließend kann man sagen, ein sehr schönes Hotel, in dem wir immer wieder übernachten würden, da es uns vor allem auf die Qualität der Betten sowie die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ankommt und diese unseren doch sehr hohen Anforderungen gerecht wurden. "Für Kurzurlaub (2 Nächte) ok"
Ein längerer Aufenthalt ist nicht empfehlenswert, die Matratzen sind sehr schlecht und das Hotel verfügt über keine normalen Bettlaken, sodas wir auf der bloßen Matratze aufwachten. Es gibt auch keine Matratzenschoner oder Auflagen, damit der Schlaf ungestört verläuft. Die Zimmer werden sehr unzureichend gesäubert, das Bettenmachen ist äußerst ungenügend. […] Nicht mal das Bettlaken wird gerade gezogen, bei Verschmutzung des Bodens (Krümmel) werden diese nicht automatisch gesäubert, alles muss dort an der Lobby bekannt gegeben werden, um Abhilfe zu schaffen. So einen Zustand haben wir noch in keinem unserer Hotels erlebt, auch nicht in 3 Sterne Hotels. Der Service im Restaurant läßt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Tische sind nicht eingedeckt wenn der Gast zum Frühstück kommt. Bei einer Reklamation in der Lobby wird Abhilfe für den nächsten Tag gewährleistet, aber die weiteren Tage verlaufen wie immer, ungedeckte Tische, Büffet nur auf Anfrage gefüllt (unfreundliches Personal im Frühstücksbereich). Desweiteren sind die Getränkepreise -Minibar- unangemessen. (1 Cola 0,2 l kostet 700 Florint im Barbereich 500 Florint). Dafür bezahlt man im Barbereich immer noch einen Aufschlag von 2,00 Euro Servicegebühr, diese Gebühr steht aber nicht in der Getränkekarte. Einen nochmaligen Aufenthalt würde ich strickt verneinen. The pools are very nice, steam bath and saunasare excellent. The staff is friendly and fluent in English. The hotel is not at the center, but a bust stop is right in front of the hotel. You can take the bus to almost anywhere in Buda or Pest. You can also switch to the tram or metro. Buy a weekly pas, it is your best bet. Watch out for ALL taxi drivers […] as they overcharge you. A Nice hotel in a Massive city.Went there for the grand prix and wished I had stayed an extra night or two to explore the city some more.The hotel breakfast wasnt very good and because of that we didn't try the restaurant.

Upon check-in I was informed that the Spa Facility was to be closed all day Sunday for technical reasons, notably the thermal pools and jacuzzi that are accessible to all hotel guests. I booked this hotel for a three-day weekend stay and was very disappointed. On the days that the thermal spa was open, staff persistently nagged me to exit the pool 20 […] minutes before posted closing time of the facility. If you plan on using the metro/public transit, note that the hotel is quite far from the Pest City Center and Buda sites (about one hour walk) once the transit system closes at midnight. 10 minute walk to nearest metro station. Everyone staying at this hotel was at least 60 and it is a VERY LONG walk from downtown sites. The staff at the front desk were pretty rude. I will never stay at this place ever again.

Though this is a better "spa" stay hotel (I had an Ayurvedic massage...wonderful!!!) , it is just fine for a home base to explore the city. Walkable along the Danube (do that whenever you can instead of moving through the neighborhood filled with Soviet-era architecture), you will be close enough to everything you want to see. But, be brave, purchase a public transportation pass and hop around beautiful Budapest. It's a great way to see the city and experience life the way the Hungarians do. "Great spa"
First floor of the hotel has three pools with varrying temperatures. There are also very large sauna and steam rooms available for both men and women. There are numerous spa services available to include massage and other therapies. Hotel is closed to transportation and the river Danueb, it is great place to start your sightseeing tours.

"Good value for money"
We were in Budapest to attend the wedding of friends. They were having their wedding reception on a boat moored near to the Danubius Helia Hotel. We chose to stay in the hotel (as did the majority of guests) because of the proximity of the hotel to the wedding venue and because of the very low rate available which meant we could afford to stay for the […] whole weekend. The hotel was modern, comfortable, clean and the staff were helpful. It was very good value for money. After the wedding we stayed in Budapest for a further 4 nights. However, we moved into the city centre for the remainder of our stay so that we could explore the city on foot, and have a better choice of bars and restaurant nearby, The Danubius Hotel is about a half hour walk along the river to the city centre and we would have spent alot of money on taxis in and out otherwise. At that stage we prefrerred to spend extra on accomodation and be freer to come and go. Overall a good hotel for the price. Mehr
The hotel itself was nice enough but there were a couple of drawbacks. It is not located near the city centre or a convenient public transport line. This makes it more challenging getting to it. Also, while the hotel has free wi-fi, the rate charged for use of the computer at the business centre is 10 times the rate of internet cafes in town. "Quiet , clean, comfortable and a good value"
The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood with views to the Duna. The room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable for the two of us. We slept very well. Transportation was easily accessible, so you could get anywhere fairly easily by bus, which stopped just up the block from the hotel. The underground (Metro), is about a ten minute walk […] from the hotel, if you didn't want to wait for a bus to take you there. We didn't eat at the hotel, so we don't know the caliber of the food. "Great hotel, great spa & facilities."
Staying in the Danubius Health Spa Resort Helia in Budapest was a very good experience. Hotel staff are very heplful and courteaous. Housekeeping was attentive as well as the snack shop - bar staff. The only negative I can say is the odd smell on the 3rd floor lobby as one got off the elevator. Smelled like cooking gas fumes of some sort?? or perhaps […] sewer gas fumes? Otherwise I was pleased with my stay at the hotel. Very convenient to everything in Budapest. Enjoyed the fitness room facilities, too. Mehr

Я бы хотела адресовать свой отзыв родителям с малышами. Дело в том, что я сама пребывала в отеле с годовалым ребенком. Мы пробыли в Хелии неделю. Питание для детей имеется. Завтрак хороший, есть каша, фрукты, неплохие колбасные изделия, блюда из яиц, всевозможные булочки. Напротив отеля супермаркет с изобилием детского питания. Обслуживание хорошее, […] предложили детскую кровать. Проблем с малышом у меня не было. Прогулки с коляской совершать просто изумительно. По живописной набережной гулять приятно, много парков для детей маленьких. Сам город очень понравился, люди доброжелательные. В отеле Хелия две женщины представители Робинзон Тур хорошо говорят по русски, помогали нам по всем вопросам бесплатно. Персонал настроен доброжелательно. Правда бассейн термальный детям не рекомендуется, мы плавали в обычном, потом нужно хорошо помыть ребенка от хлорированной воды. А уж если без ребенка ехать, то нужно иметь в виду, Хелия отель СПА, очень тихий, для тусовок не подойдет. Больше для деловых встреч. Всем желающим посетить Венгрию рекомендую Хелию и обязательно пешком пройти весь Будапешт. А крытый рынок в центре просто набит сувенирами. И еще не бойтесь метро, дешево и удобно. Mehr
удобно расположенный отель в 10 мин от метро, бассейн работает с 7 утра до 10 вечера, завтрак хороший, однако ужин слишком дорог для шведского стола, в округе ресторан с китайской едой, в целом хорошо, продление номера почасовое, что удобно.

Detta var andra gången vi var på detta hotell, vi gillade spa avd,och det mesta var väldigt bra. lite minus för lite dåligt urval på meny. Minus för rökning i allmänna utrymmen.

We choosed Danubius Helia because of all the different treatments including sauna, warmwater pools etc. Trollybus right outside the hotel. A short walk to Budapests great Metrosystem. Just a few minuts to the city. Close to shoppingmalls because of the metro. Our second time in Budapest and we still enjoy the town.

"Danubius Spa resort Helia- Knappast avslappnande"
Vi blev mycket besvikna på vår vistelse på hotell Helia. Smutsiga rum, snuskig frukostbuffé och fattig kvalité på behandlingar och aktiviteter. Gymmet var helt ok men badet var väldigt omysigt. Det saknas fräscha scampoon, duschcremer osv i duschrummen. Det var väldigt hög ljudvolym i både bad och utanför rummen (visserligen pga stökiga gäster). Vi […] hade strul med pay perview i vårt rum, vilket dom tog tre dagar på sig att åtgärda- det var endast vårt rum som hade problem. I sängen låg långa svarta hårstrån under lakan och i överkast. Frukosten var under all kritik och dyr! Dåligt bemötande i receptionen, möjligen pga språkförbistring. Vistelsen på Helia var med andra ord allt annat än avkoppling för oss. Mehr

Mycket bra! Alla Spabehandlingar vi provade var mycket prisvärda allt från pedikyr till massage. Ett extra plus för badrocken som låg fint inplastad och väntade. Väldigt trevlig och tjänstvillig hotellpersonal. Nära till liten affär och tunnelbana/spårvagn. Ok hinta-laatu hotelli metromatkan päässä Budapestin ydinkeskustasta (Pestin puolella). Kaupan päälle kuuluu kylpyläosasto joka on selvästi laajempi kuin normaalisti hotelleissa. Huoneet siistit, aamiainen hyvä ja palvelu toimiva.

Er meget fornøyd med hotellet og hotellets ansatte som gjorde absolutt alt de kunne for at gjestene skulle ha det bra. Og det greide de også! Det som for våres del trekker litt ned er avstanden til andre fasiliteter som gjorde at vi "måtte" ta taxi uansett hvor vi skulle. De ansatta håndterte dette på en meget proffesjonell måte og hadde helt klart […] gode rutiner på arbeidet de utførte. Har ingen problemer med å anbefale dette hotellet til andre. Mehr
