Viel zu lasche Klimaanlage Die auf dem Dach installierte Klimaanlage hat ein Dauergerausch von ca. 70-80 db Das Pay Fernsehen ist so geschaltet, das man Fehler machen muss. Das heisst wir haben fuer etwas bezahlt was wir gar nicht nutzen wollten. Das Personal koennte streckenweise mal freundlicher sein.

An sich war alles sehr nett und zufriedenstellend. Allerdings waren wir zur Zeit des Sziget Festivals dort und man sollte vermeiden (zumindest zu dieser Zeit), eines der vom Hotel gerufenen Taxen zu nehmen. Wer ein Zimmer zur Donau (mit Balkon) bucht, muss beim Öffnen der Balkontür mit Straßenlärm rechnen (nachts doch etwas störend). Man kann zwar die Tür geschlossen halten, allerdings ist dann das Zimmer zum Schlafen recht warm (ca. 23-24 ° C). Die Fenster sind zur Westseite (dann scheint ab Mittags die Sonne darauf (am besten morgens schon die dichten […] Vorhänge vorziehen. Die Air-Conditon läßt sich zwar individuell pro Zimmer einstellen und ein- oder ausschalten, allerdings wird wohl die Temperatur zentral auf maximal 23° C tief geregelt. Die Wellness-/Badeabteilung mit dem Thermalbad und den anderen Becken und zahlreichen Behandlungsmöglichkeiten ist supertoll und ein echtes Highlight. Auf dem Dach gibt es eine Extra-Dachterrasse mit Liegen zum Sonnen. - Gegenüber dem Hotel gibt es einen Supermarkt, bei dem man günstig einkaufen kann. Ca. 150 m entfernt gibt es ein China-Restaurant (günstiges Essen und Trinken) und ein Café/Restaurant am Theater. Mehr

Hotel liegt direkt an der Donau, Spaziergänge entlang des Donauufers sind ein Muß! Nächste U-Bahn-Station ist in ca. 5 Min. zu Fuß zu erreichen, mit der U-Bahn ist man in wenigen Minuten in der Pester Innenstadt. Geschäfte (Supermarkt, Metzger, Drogerie) gleich gegenüber. Da ich seit nunmehr 15 Jahren in dieses Hotel reise, kann das nur bedeuten, dass ich sehr zufrieden bin. Die Zimmer sind großzügig bemessen, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Wellness- und Spa-Bereich ist schnell erreichbar, die Fitness-Programme sind sehr umfangreich und für Hotelgäste kostenfrei im Angebot. Sehr freundliches und hilfreiches Personal. Wir hatten den Wunsch das Zimmer zu wechseln, weil wir Eines zur Donauseite haben wollten, was problemlos geschehen ist. Das Personal spricht Englisch und Deutsch. Frühstücksbuffet sehr reichhaltig und man hat große Auswahl, für jeden ist etwas dabei. Das Stadtzentrum ist innerhalb weniger Minuten mit U-Bahn […] (Metro), Buß und Strassenbahn zu erreichen. U-Bahnstation zu Fuss nur einige Minuten, Busshaltestelle quasi vor der Tür. Das Schwimmbad ist sehr zu empfehlen. Hier kann man nach den Stadtbesichtungen richtig gut entspannen. Im Allgemeinen kann man sagen, dass die Ungarn sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit sind. Nicht aufdringlich (Lokale und Geschäfte) sondern sehr nett. Da es in Ungarn glücklicher Weise den Euro noch nicht gibt, ist ein Auffenthalt hier noch bezahlbar und man bekommt auch noch was für sein Geld. Kurzum: Wir können dieses Hotel, Budapest und Ungarn für einen Urlaub nur empfehlen. Mehr

Ein längerer Aufenthalt ist nicht empfehlenswert, die Matratzen sind sehr schlecht und das Hotel verfügt über keine normalen Bettlaken, sodas wir auf der bloßen Matratze aufwachten. Es gibt auch keine Matratzenschoner oder Auflagen, damit der Schlaf ungestört verläuft. Die Zimmer werden sehr unzureichend gesäubert, das Bettenmachen ist äußerst ungenügend. […] Nicht mal das Bettlaken wird gerade gezogen, bei Verschmutzung des Bodens (Krümmel) werden diese nicht automatisch gesäubert, alles muss dort an der Lobby bekannt gegeben werden, um Abhilfe zu schaffen. So einen Zustand haben wir noch in keinem unserer Hotels erlebt, auch nicht in 3 Sterne Hotels. Der Service im Restaurant läßt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Tische sind nicht eingedeckt wenn der Gast zum Frühstück kommt. Bei einer Reklamation in der Lobby wird Abhilfe für den nächsten Tag gewährleistet, aber die weiteren Tage verlaufen wie immer, ungedeckte Tische, Büffet nur auf Anfrage gefüllt (unfreundliches Personal im Frühstücksbereich). Desweiteren sind die Getränkepreise -Minibar- unangemessen. (1 Cola 0,2 l kostet 700 Florint im Barbereich 500 Florint). Dafür bezahlt man im Barbereich immer noch einen Aufschlag von 2,00 Euro Servicegebühr, diese Gebühr steht aber nicht in der Getränkekarte. Einen nochmaligen Aufenthalt würde ich strickt verneinen. Lovely hotel with excellent amenities all for a very good price. It was a little distance from the main sites but right next door to the conference I was attending so I am not complaining. Avoid staying here when they have groups bookings of children as the hotel staff do not control or enforce any rules or restrictions on them. During this stay we had 10's of children running up and down the hallways, banging doors, loitering outside of the lifts on all floors and generally running riot around the hotel. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. While not directly in the city centre, it was very easy for us to get to any place in the city. Public transport was just brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and in particular, the three swimming pools with different water temperatures, the saunas and the roof terrace for sunbathing. The food is quite pricey so we did not dine in the hotel but either went by metro to the centre (4-5 stops) or walked 15-20 min to various cafes in the area. There is an excellent […] boat restaurant on Danube called Vogue if you are prepared to walk 10-15 min. If you have kids there are a few good playgrounds in the area, one on the way to the metro station. The breakfast costs 10 euros and it is cheaper to pay in euros than in the local currency due to the exchange rate. The choice is good, particularly the cold section. However, fruits and veg are roughly chopped and the scrambled egg was like a rubber. You can still pick and choose so won't go hungry. Alternatively, there is a supermarket across the road and we used to get yogurts and juice there. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly in the spa area. Would recommend their massage services which are cheaper than in the UK and just as good. Reception ordered a taxi for us to the airport which was more convenient than going by metro and a bus and cost about £20. All in all, a memorable holiday in a lovely historic city. Mehr

We loved our stay in Budapest, the Hotel was very close to the DAnube River, so we had nice walks everyday. It was a little distant to the centrum, but we enjoyed our walks. They had a piano player everynight, the pools with thermal waters and the gym were great after a busy day.

My friend and I did enjoy ourselves although bar area was quiet. Information on alternative restaurants in the area (there did n't seem to be many anyway) was not that forthcoming as hotel preferred that you ate there. Spa treatment was really good for the price. All in all a very decent hotel.

The pools are very nice, steam bath and saunasare excellent. The staff is friendly and fluent in English. The hotel is not at the center, but a bust stop is right in front of the hotel. You can take the bus to almost anywhere in Buda or Pest. You can also switch to the tram or metro. Buy a weekly pas, it is your best bet. Watch out for ALL taxi drivers […] as they overcharge you. Upon check-in I was informed that the Spa Facility was to be closed all day Sunday for technical reasons, notably the thermal pools and jacuzzi that are accessible to all hotel guests. I booked this hotel for a three-day weekend stay and was very disappointed. First floor of the hotel has three pools with varrying temperatures. There are also very large sauna and steam rooms available for both men and women. There are numerous spa services available to include massage and other therapies. Hotel is closed to transportation and the river Danueb, it is great place to start your sightseeing tours.
