Not too bad however, exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work to expel moisture from shower, adding to a humid room, towels were very small and thin, took 2 to dry off, hot tub wasn't working, no clock radio for alarm, TV had snowy reception on most channels.

It was ok. Some drunk people hanging out around the hotel...no trouble though.

This is another sad example of a nasty business model: the entrepeneur buys the concession for an otherwise good motel/hotel, runs it into the ground and then dumps it afer squeezing money out of it. There was clearly no maintenance. The elevator had been broken for several years. Furniture and appliances were in bad shape. The building was left to […] fall apart. Luckily, the building is new enough that you can manage to sleep here - it will be 2 or 3 years before it becomes a complete dump. They managed to find a way to add $10 to the advertised price. The hptel was conveniently located and the services were standard or skightly below par. The TV was not working, but after I complained, they quicjly changed my room next door. My son and I traveled to Houston for a wedding and this place said it had all the amenities I was looking for in a hotel for my trip: crib (infant bed), pool, continental breakfast, and nearby where I needed to be in Houston. Sadly, the only good thing about this place is the location... The description of this hotel said it has cribs (infant beds) […] available. I have a 2 year old son and I don't trust him on a bed by himself. So when I checked in, I asked the woman at the front desk for a crib and she looked at me like I was from another planet... I can understand not all hotels having cribs for their guests, that's not the issue - but when your description says they're available and I get that response when I ask for it… hmmmm. So instead of a crib I guess I'll just settle for some extra blankets and pillows to prop my son in the bed so he won't fall out, right? Wrong - she again looked at me like I was crazy for asking for extra blankets and pillows... "We have extra towels" she said... HA! Strike one The pool was... to be polite, not well kept. I was hoping to swim with my son to pass the time before the wedding in the evening. The pool looked as though it hadn't been touched in a while and I was really disappointed we weren't able to enjoy this "amenity". Strike two My next gripe isn't all that bad; I mean they technically do offer a "free breakfast" by having coffee, 6 muffins, and 2 kinds of dry cereal available. But that's it… I have never seen a hotel’s breakfast with less… Strike three comes with the room. NO WHERE NEAR AS NICE AS THE PICTURES. Mattresses were stained and very uncomfortable. All furniture was dated and not in the best shape. I noticed that the dresser was pulled away from the wall roughly 2 or 3 inches. Not really sure why, maybe so they can spray for rodents and bugs daily w/out having to keep moving the furniture… Bathroom light took a minute to turn on (literally a minute). Had a good one-night stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate. It is very good value for the money. Will stay again.

The room given was not cleaned properly (no towels in bathroom, and trash can not empty), so the person at front desk apologized and immediately assigned another room. The second room's bed was not fixed, bathroom was not cleaned, and there were 2 Starbucks cups by the bed. The person apologized again, checked out what was going on, and upgraded us […] to a suite. The situation was handled nicely, but I really can't trust a place that assigns two rooms, which both turn out to not be ready, and the staff is not aware of this. Also, other customers were weird, mainly young and loud people, so we didn't feel very safe. I woke up in the middle of the night to laughters and shouting. Breakfast didn't have hot water for tea, and was very weak -- even compared to other 2-star hotels. Location is not convenient if coming from San Antonio, but it is not very far drive from downtown Houston. Mehr

it was in the area I wanted to be in so it was ok for that price during Spring Break. Maybe I'm too picky but it could'v used some detailing nothing major.

Friendly staff -- had the opportunity to meet the owner/general manager. Very impressive. Facilities were clean and had all the amenities. Bed was comfortable.

Everything is ok the only thing i can think of is the beds felt kind of old also the Elevator wasnt working great job i had to go up and down stairs my room was on the 3rd floor.....

The Towels are old (bring yours along, maybe your sheets too). The carpet had its issues with cleanliness too. However, for the price, it was okay since all i needed was to lay my head. The rooms have refrigerators and a microwave...another plus. It's not too bad.

This hotel did not give us the room we booked, nothing was as depicted in their room pictures or room description. We attempted to resolve the situation with the front desk staff, and all they replied was sorry, that's the room you booked. No attempts to resolve anything. Everything in the room was stained, maids didn't replenish anything, continental […] breakfast was cold coffee & plain white bread, and our kitchenette was merely a dorm room microwave & fridge. Bathtub had not stopper. Had to use plastic bag to be able to take a bath. Phone didn't work, toilet paper extremely thin, towels rough. Air conditioner wouldn't turn on. Bed was resonably comfortable, TV and Frig worked.. ,.

Price drove me to book this location, however, the deceptive name and logo made me think I was booking America's Best Value Inn, but America's Inn is NOT the same. This appeared to be a former TraveLodge due to cups provided in the room. Better to book a hotel near Hobby Airport for a similar price, than this one out by itself on US59 South. For the great price I got I cannot complain too much and they seem to try to do the best they can. Noisy highway location for front half rooms. The wifi was a bit slow and not clearly instructed how to get on when checked in so had to call. Trim work and details of construction is pretty poor which is not expensive to fix. It should clearly advertise it is an outside entrance motel and when you walk in there should always be a light that comes on with a switch by entrance but it was switched off at lamp and bathroom fan should always work well (little details but important). They were helpful and let me keep my luggage there for a few hours after checkout which was highly appreciated. Continental free breakfast ends at 9am which was pretty early. Mehr

considering the cost i thought it was a good value. It is acceptable for a short stay where budget is of importance. For the price it is well kept.

When you need a room to sleep and shower, this is the place to stop in Houston area! Clean, good beds and good staff make it a great value!

Good for the price. The room was good. The restroom was OK (bath tub not that clean). The service was good - the hair dryer wasn't working and they replaced it as soon as I complained about it. The breakfast was complimentary and it was decent. The bad thing about the hotel are: - wireless internet connection was dead slow. It was almost impossible […] to browse the web. - Rooms are exposed to outside i.e. anyone who can enter the hotel area could come and knock at your door. There is no restricted access to the hotel rooms. So safety is questionable. - There were heavy shouting and mad guys shouting running around a few times during the night and it was scary. I thought somebody is going to shoot somebody and a bullet might fly into my room. So it is not a safe feeling at all. - I can hear loud noises of the neighbor banging the door in the middle of the night and honking and I lost sleep several times. Bottomline: If you are concerned about safety for you and your family, don't stay here. If you want to save bucks and want decent food and decent room pick this one. Mehr

The room was comfortable and close to where I needed to go. My pet deposit was returned after the room was checked for damage. Overall it was a good experience.

Service was ok the next day I turned my key in & went back to the room to get our things & the workers were very rude that we had went back to get our things I mean I can see if we were just laying around but we were not & ok they were telling us to get out but atleast be nice about it THEY WERE RUDE I had to hang up on the person they were rude...wifi […] sucks and cable channels suck stayed at the Carefree Inn last month..MUCH BETTER THAN THIS HOTEL Mehr

Hotel personnel was very helpful and the rooms were very clean too!

It was a little hard to find. Once found a nice place to stay.

Good location for multiple projects going on in SW HOU. Quick on and off on freeway.Plenty restaurants close by. Neighborhoods questionalble, but Hotel property surrounded by commercial secured properties.

is a good choice for the cheap price. Free Wi-Fi internet, breakfast and parking.

On West side road noise was a bit loud.

AC didn't work and no hot water in room. Management changed my room immediately with no problems.

A very good hotel for night stopover after Astros games. Clean, safe and quiet. Easy access of Southwest Freeway. Staf is very nice and helpful!

Nice... simple... restroom door didn't close right... but other than that... it was nice and clean.. a little hidden next to the car dealerships and the frontage road...

noisy and hot in the room. I can not sleep.

used GPS or would have had trouble finding it. Clean room, friendly staff. Continental breakfast, not much at all. Neighborhood was a maze of highways and roads. Would have been tough to get anywhere during rush hour. Worked for a single business traveler.

i booked this hotel for my audition for The Voice because it was cheap. but the qualtiy was good. the phone didnt work but everyone has a phone. the front desk was super helpful for whatever we needed and super friendsly too! it was quiet at night and right off the highway. i enjoyed my stay.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room (clean, well-maintained and comfortable) and the friendliness of the staff, considering that it was very inexpensive. Two of the elevators were out and you could only get ice on the 2nd floor, but I expect stuff like that for the price I paid. We reserved two rooms, the only complaint was that one of the rooms we were in smelled of mold/dampness. Other than that the price was excellent for the quality of the hotel.
