Das Hotel liegt an der High Street, der Royal Mile, das fuhrt durch die historische Mittelpunkt von dieser wunderschönen Stadt. Eine bessere Ort für unseren Aufenthalt könnten wir uns nicht vorstellen. Der Preis Leistungsverhältnis hat gepaßt und das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Jederzeit wieder, vollkommen zufrieden!

Das Hotel Radisson ist in zentraler Lage und als Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungen bestens geeignet. Die Lokale in der Umgebung sind auch zu später Stunde geöffnet, zahlreiche Pubs mit schottischer Musik in der Nähe.

Sehr schönes Hotel an toller Lage. Das ausgiebige und leckere Frühstück kann sehr günstig vor Ort dazu gebucht werden. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit (z.B. für Tipps zum Nachtessen, Busfahrpläne, Briefmarkenverkauf, ...) und freundlich. Leider war beim ersten Aufenthalt das Bett (im Businesszimmer, wo wir gratis upgegradet wurden :)) sehr hart und […] wir schliefen in den vier Nächten leider schlecht. Bei unserem letzten Aufenthalt war das Bett allerdings wieder bequem ... ist wohl vom Zimmer abhängig. Der Wellnessbereich ist sehr einfach (Schwimmbecken und geschlechtergetrennt Sauna inkl. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Die Stadt ist übersichtlich, vom Hotel ist vieles zu Fuss erreichbar. Hatte ein Zimmer mit toller Abendsonne, am Wochenende etwas laut. Disco vis a vis. Zum Flughafen auf jeden Fall der Shuttle Bus von in der City nehmen, niemals Linie 35 auch wenn günstiger, ausser sie möchten knapp 2 Stunden fahren.

Cannot fault anything about it. Knew it was going to be good but it surpassed good! when we return to Edinburgh we will stay again. (Great pubs/food within seconds/minutes of front enterance). The room was spotless and tidy staff very efficient and friendly. Would advise family, friends and workmates to stay if going to Edinburgh.

Great hotel which is currently hassle to get to because of the tram works.

This hotel is in a great location. The staff was very helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants and making reservations for us.

dealt with out of the ordinary requests very well, and didn't seem in a mad hurry to get on to the next customer all the time

Great hotel, first class in a perfect position for easily exploring Edinburgh on foot. We didn't move the car all weekend and got a great rate on the parking fee. Friendly staff with excellent local knowledge, they recommended a great local restaurant. The room was clean and comfy with a view out to sea. awesome Location! Even had a pool. Because Edinburgh is so pedestrian friendly it might nice to have a hot tub in the pool area though to relax after a long day of walking.

Great hotel! You feel welcome, nice staff and good service. Beds are kind of hard, but had no problem sleeping. And the taxis are right outside.

The Radisson was easily one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. The reception were happy to help us out and the location was perfect for all the places we wanted to see, edinburgh castle, scotline tours and of course so close to the best shops and the busstop and train line!! The food was also amazing-definately impressed:D

If you want to be in walking distance to all of the major sites, this is the hotel for you. Bonuses are that the staff are friendly/helpful and the buffet breakfast was reasonably priced (we were offered it for a discount upon check-in and decided to go for it, and were happy we did). An excellent hotel, with excellent service and lovely rooms. great situation on the royal mile. I would definitely recomend this hotel to anyone. It would have helped to know about parking prior to arriving. The car park is the Public car park on the side road of the hotel, (blackfriars road?). You should park there first (there is nowhere else to park […] close by) you then take the lift to reception and present them with your car park receipt on leaving. For my 24 hour + stay it was 12 pound 50 instead of 19 (I think), so remember to validate at reception before driving out! Really nice breakfast with good choice of good food, a small but adequate indoor pool (required in Scotland)! In summary an excellent stay - really good value. Mehr

This hotel is lovely! It is in a perfect location to explore the city, taxis are available at all hours right on it's doorstep and the staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. We stayed here over Hogmanay and could see the fireworks from our room...beautiful!

Lovely hotel, great breakfast, nice room but bed spoiled by cheap pillows and room too hot, air con not very efficient.

Lovely stay. Polite staff. Well equipped and comfortable rooms. Very good Full Scottish Breakfast. Only tip would be to ask for a room towards the back of the hotel as the Royal Mile is a lively environment at all hours of the night.

The hotel itself is nice, apart from the smell in the halls. Our twin room was big and clean so nothing to objections against the hotel and room in that sense. What I did not like however was the check in desks. It took forever everytime you needed to talk to somebody. Ques of 8-15 people at check in and check out. If the employees were efficient, […] this wouldn't be that bad, as a simple check in or check out should only take 1 - 2 minutes per person, but when they manage to use over 10 minutes per person at check in, this really becomes an annoying problem. I would recommend this hotel to others cause its in a nice location and has good standards, but I wont return myself because of this. Mehr

However, room was shoddy, valance to bed ripped, doors to cupboard wouldn't shut and mini bar door broken. Everything about this hotel is 5-star-plus. Especially the calibre of the staff there! There's even a taxi rank right outside the door.

Great location near all attractions. Richard at the concierge desk was most helpful and accomodating. Great place and a great city.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Staff were very nice and the spacious room we had was spotless. The only complaint I would have is the lack of good lighting in the room. Because the windows aren't enormous the room needs more effective lighting. However, it wouldn't put me off staying there again.

This hotel and the staff offer excellent service, food is great - only negative is the lighting in the standard rooms is a bit dark though.

What a great location , within walking distance of everywhere. Very clean and cosy hotel. All staff very friendly and helpful Would definitley recommend for location alone

Very friendly helpful staff, the rooms were presented at a top level. Very handy having an ice machine on corridor. The Hotel was right in the middle of city centre and was very close to the must see sights

The Radisson is on the corner of the Royal Mile and High Street. All the action of the Fringe was just a step away. I was concerned it would be noisy but we slept well. Staff was friendly. It was a great place to stay.

We enjoyed our four night stay in the Radisson Blu. We loved the location of the hotel in proximity to all of the sites in Edinburgh. Our room was very clean and tidy and surprisingly had air conditioning. This feature really was not needed due to weather temps but nice for air flow. Breakfast was plentiful and had a nice variety. Excellently situated on The Royal Mile. Staff always at your service. The only snag: Quite noisy outside at night.

I was revisiting the Edinburgh several decades after graduating from the University. My friend has limited mobility so I asked for a room for her near the elevator - this worked well. I wanted a room with a view - although the first room I was given did not fit the bill as apparently some guests were checking out late, I was later given another room […] which was perfect; a great view and round the corner from my friend. The location is excellent, close to all the important sights, the facilities were clean and of good quality and the staff were most friendly and helpful. The pool and sauna were a bonus and being open 10.30pm, a tranquil way to end the day. Mehr

Fantastic hotel with a great location. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was large, clean and well equipped. Bed was very large and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights there.

What a great hotel in the heart of Old Town. So close to everything, the train, our tour company, resturants, pubs, Castles,etc... Will recommend this Hotel to everyone! The staff was awesome, rooms were big and modern (you would never think that with the way the outside looks like a castle).

the staff were lovely there were a few problems with the room .I spoke with the duty manager rosalynn and most of the problems were dealt with.A bottle of wine was sent up as a token of apology

Great hotel and a perfect location for seeing Edinburgh. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is situated on the Royal Mile, and less than 5 mins walk from Waverley Station (even in heels and with a case!). The staff were friendly and helpful. Itchycoo Bar in the Hotel is a little tired looking but there are plenty of other bars and pubs close by. The hotel also benefits from a Spa but we didn't get chance to ue it.

The hotel itself is fine. Great location, pleasant staff, comfortable enough room. BUT, our room was on the 2nd floor facing a side street with a VERY popular nightclub (WhistleBinkies) w/live music open 'till 3am EVERY night. There was no way to fall asleep before 3:30/4am. Only thing the hotel can do is to look into some sound proof windows for all […] of the rooms on this side of the hotel. Before you book, find out WHERE your room will be located (unless, of course you're planning on being at WhistleBinkies every night 'till late). Mehr
