"Don't Stay Here!"
This hotel is not clean (I think there were bedbugs since I had some bites in the morning) and seems unsafe. Appears that homeless families may stay here and it seems that there are drugs and short time rentals going on. The staff was pleasant, but I would never stay here again.

"Great Value"
I stay at this Travel Lodge because it is convenient for me when working in Davenport IA. The price is right, the rooms are clean, the staff friendly! It's not a 4 Star hotel but I am not expecting a 4 Star when I book this hotel.

"Hotel in Davenport, IA - Low cost and clean rooms"
This is a pet friendly hotel. For the price, it is exceptional. Every staff member I talked to was very friendly. A person felt very welcomed. I ran into several guest the two nights I stayed there and everyone was friendly and started up conversations. The downside of this hotel is that they cannot guantee a smoking room even when it is confirmed you […] are getting a smoking room and had paid in advance for it. The rooms are very clean. They also have ammenities such as contential breakfast, which is very nice, and a work out room. I had a very nice stay here and would stay here again. The price of staying here is very affordable and worth it. Also, there are large grassy areas for your pet to do its duty, which is very, very nice. Mehr
the bed sheets look very old and need to get some new towel they were rough i only stayed one night for a business trip not sure if i would stay again

The staff was incredibly polite and accommodating. The building is old and has had slight cosmetic repairs. The floors were dirty. It was noisy. Lots of kids in the halls. Great place if you just want to sleep and get on the road. Not luxurious at all but really cheap and near interstate 80.

We did not stay after looking at 4 different rooms, bugs, worms, unidentified stains, tub was actually black with mildew. The night clerk was dirty, disheveled and a little incoherent. She had on a dirty, bleach stained denim shirt. Guests we saw were very unsavory looking. Odd chemical smells, noise YUCK!!! all of this while we stood holding our luggage […] waiting and praying there would be a clean room. I'm positive the rugs had not been vaccuumed in some time. One of the rooms shown to use had sheets on the bed that had been there when previous guests were. We left and paid for a room at a nice, clean hotel down the road. Mehr

Very limited breakfast selection and the coffee kept running out, but can't expect too much for such a cheap price. Staff very friendly.

"You Get What You Pay For"
I have stayed here several times before. It was never anything fancy, however it has going down-hill.

Would not stay here again. It is advertised nicer than it really is. My whole team thought it was very shady. My shower head nozzle sprayed everywhere when I turned it on and the bath tub especially, was disgusting.

This hotel was revolting. It was disgusting and most of the people staying there seemed to live there on an "hourly" basis. I wouldn't send a criminal to this hotel again.
""Pet Friendly?" Think Again."
After driving 8 hours, we arrived at midnight at this hotel that is advertised as "pet friendly" on hotels.com. Come to find out, the two cats that we had driven with us were "not allowed" in the hotel, and my no refund, no cancel reservation was refused at the check in desk. They told me to go to the Super 8 down the road. When I pointed out it was […] advertised as a pet friendly hotel, the desk woman explained that the manager changed the policy to not allow cats and that she will let him know that I am upset. When I asked about what to do regarding my reservation, she told me to take it up with hotels.com After 20 minutes and a phone call to hotels.com, we were allowed to check in on an "exception basis." Never, would I ever, ever, recommend this hotel to anyone. Also, the condition of the hotel is ridiculous. I guess I should have gone to the Super 8 afterall! Mehr

due to a family emergency i had to cut my trip short. But i wasn't going to hesitate to give a review. The staff was extremely nice. That i give a A+...but I am soooo disappointed in the cleanliness of my room, the comforter was stained with God knows what, a poor working air conditioner, and smell i couldn't identify with. I know my room was near a […] exit, but the flies were horrible, a light that only worked half the time, and a neighboring dog in another room that barked at all hours!! It wasnt worth what i paid, and am so disappointed i didnt get any money back for the conditions under which i had to leave!! In retrospect ... i believe that this place needs sum serious updating and stricter rules for your riff raff.. im sorry but i will NOT EVER use that facility again Mehr
When I first arrived at my room I noticed what appeared to be grease smeared on the shower enclosure. The bedspread had stains and I had to ask for coffee packets the second day and the third morning I received no coffee. There were other occupants that were unsavory including on e guest down the hall with a pit bull.

I haven't been at a Travelodge hotel for a long time; however, this stay told me why I haven't. When we arrived, there were people standing at the doorway sizing us up, I believe. They seemed nice enough, but asked too many personal questions. The room, itself, was okay.
There were no rooms on the first floor available, no elevator, and the stairs to the second floor were very steep. The bathroom/shower had mold and the mattresses were in bad condition.

This hotel was not a place for children. I really felt uncomfotable bringing my daughter and neice into this motel. There were people living in the hotel and they treated it as a hangout. They were always in the hallway and were even hanging around in front of the motel at various times of the night. I wish I would have paid the extra money and stayed […] at a more quality hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for more than one night to anyone. And not at all if you are traveling with children. We passed on the continental breakfast. The staff was pleasant. the Travel Lodge in Davenport, IA - close to the highway, can't beat the rate. Second floor is worth the climb; it will be a more quiet stay! Friendly, clean and inexpensive. Do Not stay in room 102 next to the office. Tooooo much noise to sleep!

First off, this is not the Ritz and I wasn't expecting it to be so. Its a cheap hotel for a night. Given that, it was very nice. Check in was quick and easy, hotel staff called the room a few mins later to make sure everything was alright. The room was clean and the bed was nothing special but comfortable. The houseKeeping there was pretty much none. We had two (2) beds, we found one made and one not.. The carpet not vaccummed and the bath missing towels. When I called and complained of no towels, I was told the bath towels and hand towels were the same size. That's when I had to explain to the front desk what none meant.. Our key cards code was dropped […] where I had to go all the way back to the desk, wait for a lenghty period of time for an attendant and get them re-coded. The service was non-existant and you could tell that the main clients were by the hour. Several cars in the parking lot looked as if they had been broke into so I had to be picky where I parked.. All in all, next trip, I'd feel better sleeping in my car and sponge bathing at a McDonalds!!!!! Mehr

Bathtowels the size of a handtowel and they were poor quality towels. Beds were not very comfortable. Restrooms were sized for children. Other amenities were typical, T.V, morning "breakfast", vending/ice, etc., the internet access was very good.

"I got sick"
My wife and I stayed at the 6310 N Brady St hotel on Saturday, April 16. I don't remember the room number but you could check the record. It was a perfect location for us and the price was very affordable. We enjoyed and appreciated the continental breakfast and the staff were friendly, personable and professional. Good marks on all the above. I feel […] I should inform you of the one negative experience. I noticed upon entering the room (non smoking) that it was dirty. I noticed stains on the bath towels and there was an odd smell in the room. The carpet strip baseboard was unglued from the wall. At the time I dismissed it as we would only be there one night and the price was very affordable. The during the night I developed a distinct reaction to what I believe was either mold or some hygiene related air quality problem. I noticed that the air handler was running and as I wondered if there was bacteria blowing around the room from a dirty filter. Today is Friday and I am still feeling the effects from it, although I think it's about worked out of my system. I mentioned this to a friend of mine who works as a superintendent for a commercial construction company. He picked up on it because of his professional background in public building renovations. He said it was probably mold. He has mold is a problem in many public buildings and it is common for an improperly maintained HVAC system can be an ideal environment for mold. I now realize that the look, feel and smell of the room as we entered were cues that I will pay stronger attention to in the future. Information on the website indicates recent (2009) renovation of the building. I could see evidence of that ( I am also in the construction industry) and I'm sure it is a regularly scheduled part of running a hotel. Low marks for cleanliness and air quality. Mehr

hmmm, not a good stay! I reserved a non-smoking room, and was given a smoking room. It was too late at night, that when I went down to my room and discovered that I was too tired to go back up front to complain. There was someone else's pants on the floor in my room. yuck. the floor in the room on the wall next to the shower was wet, the toilet would […] wobble when you sat on it. The deadbolt was broken on the dorr, and the other sceurity latch was missing half the latch- making it totally useless! The screen was missing from the window, so we could not use that to air the room. People were loud in the hallway at all hours, and you could easily hear the tv next door. Please, please don't make the mistake of staying at this hotel!! The only good thing I can say is that the sheets appeared clean- though the comforter had quite a few cigarette burns in it, and did not appear to have been laundered lately. Mehr

The room on the other hand a totally different story. Our room was very tiny, had a double bed, that was very small and so unconfortable. It gave my husband and I back and neck achs. The pillows were paper thin. Our drain plug was broke, the water wouldnt go down, and we ran out of hot water. Our toliet broke (wouldnt flush). And the walls was very […] thin. You could hear any little thing going on in the rooms next to you or in the hall. In other words our hotel stay was horrible, and I would NOT recommend staying there to anyone. Mehr
