Super 8 Wauwatosa/Medical Center/Milwaukee West - Wauwatosa

Whenever I come to Milwaukee I'll stay at this hotel.

I've never been so disappointed...the room was small, dirty and smelt like weed.the blanket had burn holes in it and the TV was very small..the continental breakfast was coffee and cereal...can't complain that much because of the price but I will never go back there

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was not clean, hair and dirt on the bathroom floor behind the door. The toilet leaked all over the floor. The room smelled bad, I dont know how to describe that. The bathroom was so small it felt like I was in a bathroom on a plane. The contennatial breakfast was a joke, dirty, fiflthy area and no food left. […] I was there at 8:30am. I would never stay there again nor do I recommend it. Mehr

THE SIGN WAS NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO CATCH OUT ATTENTION WHILE DRIVING BY. WE ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA AND THE SIGN COULD HAVE BEEN MORE OUTSTANDING.

While this was supposed to be a non-smoking room and a non-smoking facility, there were cigarette burns on the carpet, the comforter and the blanket. The blankets should have been retired 2 years ago with the embedded lint in the nap. The toilet took 5 minutes to refill because the seals didn't line up. The room was in the mid 60's when we checked in […] and turning the heat up a little send the room into the 90's within a couple of hours and it didn't seem to have a setting in between. The shower drain was very slow and the tub was half full by the end of a medium length shower. I like Hotels dot com and it was not the fault of the web site, I blame a business partner who wanted to save $25 a night. Mehr

It was very hard to get to from the hwy; requires you to drive past and make a U-turn. Perhaps that is normal in Milwaukee. The neighborhood was 'scary'. I bolted myself in my room for the night. Lots of 'seedy' looking people around. The place smelled of smoke. Never enough ice in the machine to fill my ice bucket. The toilet kept running every time […] you flushed, so that you had to take the back off every time to stop it from running. There was some kind of dripping or leaking in the tub/shower too. Also the girl who checked me in at the front desk had pierced lips and a neck covered with hickeys. Not a good first impression. On the PLUS side. The room itself seemed to be newly renovated, and was in good shape. The price was very low, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR seems to be the case here. Mehr

It was an older Super 8, but a deal for the money. Note it is located on a divided highway. But close to many main roads. Good restaurants all around. Their breakfast area is small, not thing fancy. So for a cheap stay, it works.

Located a little bit far from the center, but with the bus (5-10 min. from the hotel), get there in some 45 min (counting from the point you leave your room). Very nice service, simple, but has everything needed. I stayed 5 days on a business trip and satisfied with it. Coffee, internet, and could even print out resume for the presentation. The room was not clean, the yapping dogs kept us awake, I could not the refridgerator I requested & we had a terrible time finding it coming back from the hospital.

Night staff very helpful getting us settled. Day staff not so nice to us. Perfect location for our Brewer then zoo over night stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 night, it was incredibly convenient, the parking lot literally backed up to the I-94 west on-ramp. It was very very clean--more than most hotels nowadays. The only odd thing, which is why I gave it a 4 on maintenance, was the middle of the floor felt very "squishy" like they have a problem with the floor under the carpet. […] We did not fall through or anything, but they really should look into that. We were on the 2nd floor...very good security, you needed to use your room key to even get onto the floor. Checkin/checkout was easy, staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, the usual stuff, packaged muffins, bagels to toast, cereal, etc. and very good coffee with flavored creamers. Interestingly they had little signs out front each day "rooms from...." which changed daily, and all were far more than we paid. It certainly pays to book ahead, and to look for online coupons which saved us another 10 percent. For the incredibly low price we paid for this stay, we would certainly stay here again!. The hotel is VERY convenient (we were staying after a Brewers game) but not in great shape. Several lights didn't work, some outlets didn't work, and the air conditioning didn't work at all. The room actually got quite hot even though the weather was cool. If you just need a place to crash and aren't looking for luxury, this is the place to stay.

Make sure you get a good deal, because this is not that great of a hotel....

Very convenient to Miller Park and Milwaukee zoo. Pet friendly - put us first floor at back near dog run. Clean, comfortable.

Very convenient,, room was a little smelly at first, and the ironing board had mold stains on it, I did not have to use it, but if I did, I don't think I would have used it. Everything was just fine.

Our non-smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke!

I had a satisfying experience for my brief stay. The price was half of others in the vicinity, which was good as I checked in after 10 pm and left before 7 am to get to my golf tourney. Decent bed, three soft pillows, an OK tv, and a passable continental bkfst made me willing to stay there again. Overall, 1 and 1/2 thumbs-up.

We stayed there for Brewers game & couldn't have picked a better location...just a few minutes from stadium! It is not luxury accomodations, but we did not expect anything fancy for the price. Convenience is the key here! Staff was very friendly.

Bad Hotel! Very bad part of town. Not a deal even if it was free!!

The hotel was old, but clean. Next to a star bucks and close to Miller Park where we were going. Someone was arrested while we were there which provided entertainment. It is an okay hotel for the price, I myself would not stay there again though unless I was strapped for cash:)

This hotel was alright for the price I paid. The room was stuffy and seemed unused prior to my arrival. That said, they were very busy!

The first room stunk so bad from cigaretts we asked for a different room. The second room still had a cigarett oder but not as bad. The pillows stunk, there were stains on the beds. The sink was clogged and to unclog it we flushed the toilet. I did not even want to go to the toilet in this place it was so bad. They should loose their franchise. there was a bad smell in the room the ac did not work very well the bed was hard as a rock and they would not give me a different room untell i paid them $ 10.00 soo i will not be useing them anymore they said it was hotels.com i should let them know but i will not be useing them anymore

This hotel is cheap and within walking to distance to some bars/restaurants and a Starbucks. The rooms, service, etc. are not good. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

The hotel was disgusting. There were long, black hairs on the lower sheets - we had to change our own. No towels and we were afraid to take our shoes off. The breakfast really sucked. Overall I do not recommend this place for at all -no stars, but that wasn't a choice.

Clean, comfortable lodging at an affordable price. Pretty basic but that's all we were looking for. Recommend Petra's restaurant south on Mayfair Road for good food at very reasonable prices. Colonel Hart's sports bar on State Street was a highlight - it had a nice neighborhood vibe.

We just needed a cheap place to stay overnight close to the Milwaukee speedway. The accommodations were reasonably clean but otherwise marginally adequate at best. Had fridge and microwave in room, which was nice, but several TV stations did not work, including the pay movie channel, so no after-dinner movie as we planned. The free breakfast was minimal […] - cold cereal, instant oatmeal, bagels - that's about it. You can probably do better. Mehr

This hotel would make a great fit for those looking for an inexpensive place to stay. Bathroom was a little tight but everything else felt comfortable. We recommend this hotel to those who can do without all the fancy upgrades.

Burn holes on comforters and blankets. Yuck. Breakfast was very minimal. Overall, not very pleasant. We weren't expecting any luxuries at this price point, but clean and pleasant would've been nice. Being close to Miller Park was it's only redeeming feature.

The Super 8 hotel in Wauwatosa, WI was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. The hotel was dirty from the cigarette burned bedding, to the hair covered sheets/mattress pad that had yellow spotting, to the blood spotted mattress. The a/c didn't work and it is no wonder as the inner filter system was covered with layers of lint and dirt. We traveled […] in a party of 3 rooms and the reservation request of a king size bed for each room was replaced with a double and two queens. The bathroom of the double sized room had towels left from previous guests which had hairs on them. Filth, filth, filth!!! To top it all off, the hotel left a young lady who had only been hired for 3 days in charge on a supposedly sold out Friday night. She had no manager, no housekeeping staff, nor did she have any mechanical help. She was a trooper through the situation, but she was helpless in helping us. I will never stay at this Super 8 again. HORRIFIC!!! Super 8 couldn't pay me to stay there! Mehr

I found everyone very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and if you needed anything they helped you right away. I would stay there again. The price fit our budget.

this hotel was not what i throught it would be. kids running the hallways,towels old,nosie, it just a bust for me and i will leave it at that

Expect what you pay. The brick walls and musty smelling carpet wasn't pleasant. Service was good but not great and the noise levels could have been better.
