Courtyard by Marriott Lyndhurst Meadowlands - Lyndhurst

Really great hotel. Great room, great pool open till 11 and work out room open 24 hrs. Our room description didn't mention a sleeper sofa but there was one and we certainly needed it. We very comfortably slept 6 in our room. Plenty of room to move around too. Spacious bathroom and updated everything made our three nights in NYC super relaxing. The bus […] gets you into the city in about 25 minutes and back in about 10. It takes you to the Port Authority on 8th and 31st. The Empire State building is on 5th and 35th so its only about a ten minute walk. Times Square is inky about a 15 minute walk and Macys is near the Empire State building.The Intrepid is about a 20 minute walk from the bus depot. I'd grab a cab for any if the other major sites. Awesome place to stay at a fantastic price and with loads of free parking too. I would stay here again for sure. Mehr

Overall our stay was very nice but there were two problems. One, a large metal plate covering a pot-hole right in front of the hotel. This made a very loud noise every time a vehicle would ride over it. This was quite often in this busy location. Second, two bus loads of high-school students staying at the hotel. They were not adequately supervised. […] Loud conversations in the hallway at 1:00 am woke both me and my wife from sound sleep. These loud gatherings continued till 3:00 am down in the parking lot of the hotel. Hotel management should address these problems. Mehr

This is a very nice, well kept hotel, we had a comfortable clean room for a decent price. The staff was nice, free HighSpeed Internet in the room. The neighborhood is somewhat desolate, but otherwise excellent location, easy off and on HWY 3, close to Manhattan and to NJ attractions.

Great stay. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Great location.

Good hotel, food isn't too bad. Room is comforting. 7/11 right down the block which is very convenient at 2am when your hungry for whatever. Definitely a place to stay

The staff provided excellent service and there's a bus stop outside of the hotel. The bus bus takes you directly to Port Authority. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and pricing was stellar! I will return!

Location is convenient and overall very nice hotel!

ventilation system should be quieter and the same goes to the air conditionning device where very noisy , an overall checkup would of been appreciated, otherwise everything was all right. I appreciated the morning buffet , it was succulent

1. Thermostat stuck on cold. 2. When fixed, smell of the unit drove us out--had to be placed in another room. 3. Phone not working. 4. Were not asked about how our stay was when we left.

The Courtyard Marriott in Lyndhurst is old and pretty shabby. But my biggest complaint is that the internet service was completely unreliable. I had to call tech support several times and even then, it still didn't work reliably. The food was bad, too -- I ordered a simple pasta dish and it was one of the worst I've ever tasted. So beware business travelers...unless […] you want to stay up through the night trying to get internet service to work, stay away from this one!! I have had great experiences at other Courtyard Marriott locations, so this was a BIG disappointment. Mehr

The beds were not comfortable at all the mattressess are old. Towels were very old and worn out. We booked 4 rooms for the week end with 2 rooms has 2 queen beds instead of the king size bed, guess what ?we had to pay for breakfast because the rooms are 2 beds not one king bed.

It was good for 1 night.

Excellent service and excellent new rooms

I enjoyed my stay very much. The service was quick efficient. 2 thumbs up.

My son and I had a great experience at Courtyard by Marriott Lyndhurst Meadowlands. We were especially pleasantly shocked when we saw how close the hotel is to Medieval Times (the purpose of our stay). It was walking distance!! The rooms were very clean, the atmosphere relaxing, and it is in a nice quiet neighborhood. Overall excellent!!

The hotel seemed relatively new and fresh. My son enjoyed the pool and I the gym.

The location isn't bad, close to a bus stop that will take you into the city... But traffic is horrible on the route so give it a hour and a half. The route back though is short and sweet, so I guess it balances out. Not much near the hotel in walking distance except some sandwiches. Beds are pretty comfortable and rooms are nice size, but pillows […] are a bit small for my liking. Breakfast at the hotel is not included, so tack another 7 to 10 dollars onto the room rate if you like to eat breakfast in the morning. Although there is a Subway sandwich shop that's open early and serves breakfast nearby... Maybe a 3 minute walk. I picked the hotel mainly because of it's proximity to the IZOD center, that worked out okay... But there are closer places if that's your primary concern. No complaints with cleanliness or staff, both were exceptional. Mehr

This hotel is a good choice when visiting down town New York. In addition to the hotel meeting all expectations, the bus stop is just around the corner. It takes 20 mins to get down town via the Lincoln tunnel for a return fare of $9.00. This hotel is not a five star, so do not expect five star service in the restaurant. Great hotel! The staff was extremely friendly. The room was quaint and cozy. My only issue was with the food from the hotel restaurant- the steak was overcooked and the salmon a bit dry.

Thhe hotel was very nice; friendly staff. Main advantage was the Jersey Transit bus stop right on the corner. This allowed easy access into the city and back to the hotel from early morning until midnigjt.

Very Comfortable. Close access to bussing to New York. Bar is closed on Sundays. Beds comfortable.

I had reserved at this hotel because we were taking the kids to the Medival Times restaurant close by. The hotel was extremely clean and confortable. The room seemed like is was newly redone (2 queen beds). Loved it.

We were very satisfied with this hotel and accommodations. It was updated, clean and comfortable. We needed some toiletries that were not provided in bathroom, but the desk was able to provide them. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Would like to see individual a la carte items on the menu, or a few combination breakfasts offered that were […] of smaller size, and not as expensive as the breakfast buffet. Mehr

This hotel is in a quiet and well lighted location with ample parking for the guests. The cleaning service and desk service are excellent. I have stayed here twice and would recommend it to others.

This hotel was an excellent choice. I purcahsed tickets for my husband to go to a game at Giants stadium and we also wanted to go into NYC. The NJ transit bus stop was right around the corner and it took us straight into the city with no problems. The stadium was close by and there were complimentary buses that took us directly to the stadium. We didn't […] receive enough towels on 2 occasions and the maids left dirty soap that didn't belong to us and dirty toothbrushes (used for cleaning, presumably) laying on our sink. However, other than that, I would definitely stay at this hotel again! Front desk staff was extremely helpful and location was great. Mehr

I stayed one night at this hotel for the last Bruce Springsteen show at Giants Stadium. The hotel itself is very nice. The staff was very welcoming and when we requested a roll-away bed, it was brought to us promptly. The room itself was clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was large in comparison to most hotels. The flat screen television […] and in-room refrigerator were a nice touch. The website states the hotel is a mile from Giants Stadium but it is NOT. Our GPS stated it is 3.8 miles and that is over highway, so don't plan on walking to the stadium. Also, there was a shuttle at the hotel from an independent contractor taking fans to the show...DO NOT use this service! After the show, MANY hotel guests were stranded at Giants Stadium (in the rain). With one shuttle van running and the gridlock after the show, we stood there for hours until we were able to find a cab at a reasonable price! But I do recommend the hotel..they provided a great stay! Mehr

We went for a concert at Giant's stadium and they had anticipated that and had a shuttle service set up. Nice place with all the amenities you'd expect. Conveniently located next to the Nj transit bus stop so we had a VERY inexpensive ride back into the city.

Really nice place to stay. Just seen U2 at Giants Stadium and the hotel was just a mile away. Went into the city the following day, the girls at the desk were very helpful in this adventure. Bus stop right at the hotel, took us maybe a half our at the most, and the bus took us right into the city. Would highly recomend this hotel.

The hotel itself is nice and new but the real benefit is the easy access to NYC. Parking is free and the NJ Transit bus stop is right on the corner, maybe 100 yards from the front door. For $3.40 you can be in Times Square in 20 minutes and buses run about every hour. Plus the room rates here are about a third of what you'll pay in the city for a place […] you'd actually want to stay at. Mehr

This hotel is DIRECTLY on the side of Medieval Times so if you're driving from out of time to go there, this is the hotel to stay at. The bed are also extremely comfortable. I slept like a baby!

Only stayed one night and loved it! The room was beautiful and the large flat screen TV was certainly a hit. Our only suggestion: add a hot tub!
