The Omni Royal Crescent is a beautiful hotel, tucked on a side street near Canal Street. The decor is gorgeous, the room is elegant and comfortable. Details have been attended to. You can bring your pet, but you have to sign a rather frightening waver. Same with the car. There is valet parking, but who knows where they actually park your car - you have […] to give them 15 minutes notice to retreive it for you. If there's any damage to the car, they only pay for $10 of it. You have to sign that, too. (Best to fly in petless and take a cab to the hotel. It's New Orleans - you don't want to drive there anyways.) I went to the restaurant downstairs for breakfast. I had a wonderful omelette with brie cheese - but you can "build" your own with deliciously lovely choices. The staff of the hotel was friendly and curteous. I'd stay at the Omni any day, before I'd stay at Loews again (which we did the next night, for a considerably higher price). As per the other reviews, yes, the shower was weird; didn't matter - everything else was fantastic. Mehr

Staff and hotel was wonderful. Great location in a quiet part of town, yet convenient to the French Quarter. We walked everywhere

The overall stay was very nice. Only thing I have a complaint about is that I requested a wake up call on Wednesday morning at 5:30 that I never got. The young gentleman who took my request obviously never did whatever he was supposed to do. I was late for my meeting.

I've stayed at many, many hotels in and around the French Quarter. This one ranks up there with the best. Great staff. 2 blocks from the quarter but without the noise. Nicely appointed rooms. Yeah, the half shower door I can't quite figure out as many have commented but don't that let that be a deterence to an otherwise enjoyable stay.

This was exactly what I wanted: a clean, comfortable, quiet place to stay. It was luxurious but not so much that I didn't want to walk through the lobby in my shorts and sneakers. Was here with my nine year-old son and it was fine. Great beds, bedding & towels. Nice little touches like ice water in the lobby and their restaurant has great burgers. Location […] is perfect - so close enough to FQ when you want it yet far enough away to ignore it and experience a different side of the city. It's convenient to the streetcar and cabs are easy to find (not sure they have a bellman but the front desk will call for one if you prefer). But, the photos are deceiving in terms of size. The lobby was way smaller than I expected and I didn't mind but the pool is just an oversized bathtub. I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

Our stay was great. Friendly staff, everything was very clean, unlimited valet service for a flat rate. Can beat it. We even extended our stay for one night with no hassles. Will stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay.The room was very nice and clean and the staff was great.

This hotel is within walking distance to everything - Bourbon Street, Harrah's Casino, Aquarium, Trolly, etc. Nice feature is the neighborhood which has many small hotels and is quiet. After The Monteleone (and many other alternates) were sold out, I wasn't too excited about trying an unknown hotel in New Orleans. The price was right and I booked at the Omni Royal Crescent. To keep it short, I was pleasantly surprised - the room was a nice size and cleaner than some of my "first choice" hotels. Wonderful overall experience!

This hotel should not be considered a value for the lower price. This hotel was not what I expect from Omni. It seemed to be poorly managed. AC was only faintly working and the tub did not drain properly. The whole concept of this hotel seemed to be that they wanted to buy an old building and whitewash it to make more rooms availiable for all of the […] tourist that come to New Orleans. The pool was the smallest I have ever seen, and is not really a pool at all. It can only hold 3-4 people and doubles as a hot tub. When I first arrived at the hotel I asked about parking and was offered Valet at a substaintial cost per day. When I asked if there were any other options, the person got upset and responded that was all they had. I was disappointed because thier description said parking was availiable. As I looked around, I saw many hidden fees that I avoided by not ordering other services. I expect more of Omni and I guess that is why I was disappointed. The people working at the hotel seemed frustrated by all of the complaints from other customers, so I just kept quite and enjoyed my trip outside of the hotel. Mehr

The folks at the Omni Royal were very nice and helpful with great recommendations for restaurants and attractions. We had trouble with Hotels.com, the room size and the available of a roll away bed they promised would not be a problem, were a problem, but the folks at the Omni Royal made adjustments and help make the stay very pleasant.

My husband, 2 kids, and myself stayed here for Mardi Gras and I didnt realize that I booked only 1 double bed. When I checked in, I asked if I could have cot in my room. Before I got to my room the cot was there set up with fresh sheets. I then called for more blankets and pillows, they were delivered within 10 mintues max. Now, if you've ever been […] to Mardi Gras in New Orleans... everything is crazy and normally service is so slow. Great hotel that is right near the cable car lines for all the places to visit. Also walking distance to French Quarter, Royal St and Bourbon St. The Staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms are beautifully kept. Only 2 short blocks from the French Quarter, the hotel was a pleasant surprise, considering the very reasonable room rate. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood outside the F.Q. The staff was helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay there and would stay there again.

Pros: great location, a few blocks walking to casino, ditto to French Quarter - about 15 minutes to convention center. Very comfortable and clean. Had an issue with the TV that was addressed immediately. Cons: attached restaurant was underwhelming in selection and quality and confusing in menu.

This hotel was awesome! My friend and I got upgraded to a suite with adjacent rooms - two beds and two bathrooms - without even asking. The people at the front desk are friendly and helpful. And the hotel is walking distance from the French Quarter, RiverWalk, and various other places. I would definitely stay here again.

The price, service and location were great. The hotel, in particular the bathroom, is a bit tired and could use a remodel.

The staff was very nice. The bathroom could have been a little smaller. It would have been nice to have a closet. Otherwise, Everything else was nice.

This was a nice little hotel right outside of the french quarter...only about 2 blocks away. Great hotel staff, and the room was very nice and clean. The only problem we had was that the staff did not call for our car from the valet when we called for it. So it took 2 hours to get our car out of valet. Other than that, it was great.

You can not get any better service than what this hotel gives you. The location is good and is relatively quiet at night. Rooms are very nice.

I've stayed in many a hotel in my life and this is probably the first time I don't have any real complaints. The room was very spacious with plenty of drawer and closet space. The King size bed was very comfortable. Best of all, the empty refrigerator allowed us the ease of storing drinks and snacks for our 5 day stay. My husband and I stayed two nights in late December 2011. The pros: the proximity to the sights of NOLA and restaurants, the overall feel of the hotel, the incredibly friendly staff, the good and quick food at the restaurant downstairs and gym/outdoor area. The cons: as others mentioned, the glass partition in the bathroom does not provide adequate […] coverage for showers. You can certainly take a shower, but you should move any valuables from the floor and counter space directly next to the tub to avoid them getting soaked. Our room was very clean with one major exception. There was a large wad of long black hair on the floor in the corner of the bathroom. The tile is dark and textured, so I might not have noticed it had it not gotten stuck to my tolietry bag when I placed in on the floor. Ewww. I can see where the housekeeping staff could have missed this though because it did blend right in. You can hear people in the rooms next to you and the late night party goers on the street below. That didn't bother me as much, because hey, it's NOLA and you're looking for peace and quiet, this is not the town for it. I would stay here again without question, but I may request a room higher than the 2nd floor to avoid the noises from the street below. We stayed in NOLA the week before at the Roosevelt and while the room was almost as nice, the staff at the Omni were MUCH, MUCH nicer than the Roosevelt. Mehr

This hotel was fantastic: great , convenient location and a warm and friendly staff. Being a select member I was upgraded to a larger room and got free coffee delivered to me every morning. I found the location walkable to all of the major attractions but was nicely tucked away in the Warehouse district so it was quiet at night. sleeping... Great location in a city that never sleeps... A bit on the expensive side for a crash pad, but very clean, great staff. Did not taste the food at the hotel, but the Velvet Slipper (just around the corner) is a must for a breakfast stop! Overall, we were satisfied.

Hotel room was beautiful and clean! The king size beds are amazing. Great service and close to canal street. Highly recommended! I will definitely book another stay there the next time I stop in New Orleans.

The room was a little small, and not quite what I expected when I think 4 star. But afterall, a 4 star hotel in New Orleans is going to be a little different than normal. But what put this hotel as one of my favorites was the staff. Unbelievably great service and attention. So nice and helfpul. A refreshing change from most hotel service in NOLA.

As a woman traveling alone, there were just a few issues with this hotel that probably would have not bothered me if I was traveling with my partner. Overall, my room was great. Very large, overall clean. I'm not sure if this was a room that animals were allowed, but I could not sit in the chair by the television without sneezing my head off. So, that […] is where the cleanliness got voted down a bit, and some new bed linens could be needed. Otherwise, sheets and bathroom very clean. My only other issue was the large gap around the top and sides of the door to the room. It seemed so large that I felt insecure, and the light that came around it from the hallway was pretty bright. Again, maybe I wouldn't have thought too much about it if I wouldn't have been alone. A friend staying in another room said she didn't have that issue. Otherwise, super friendly staff. Went for a romantic getaway over Halloween. Room was clean, quiet, comfortable. A perfect place for mischief in and out of costumes in and out of the quaint rooms. Highly recommended!

Everything was just perfect. We really enjoyed the spa and the safe location, still convenient to the NOLA attractions!

This hotel turned out to be a great option for our recent stay in New Orleans. It is just outside the French Quarter, but it doesn't take long to walk into the quarter. The room was very clean (except we did scrub down the tub before using the whirlpool in it-would suggest taking off those jet covers and doing that if you're going to use it). Only negative is the limited room service menu after hours. The room was way smaller than expected. The bathroom was uncomfortable with the toilet being in the corner behind the door and the shower was impossible to get out of safely. The pillows were too soft and, when asked for firmer pillows, I was laughed at. The desk staff was great and helpful, constantly greeting and welcoming. While packing to depart, […] many things came up missing after room service cleaned. Shopping in the French Market, receipts aren't given so the hotel was apologetic but that was it. No contact has been made on the hotels part to ease this issue. I feel I paid too much money for the room to leave so dissatisfied. It will definitely be my last time staying. Mehr
