Das Appartement war großzügig geschnitten, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. Rings um das Hotel gibt es zahlreiche Geschäfte und Restaurants, das Sydney Opera House ist zu Fuß in einer halben Stunde zu erreichen. Allerdings war der Verkehr recht deutlich durch die geschlossenen Fenster zu hören.

-price was ok -there was a dirty blanked in the cupboard with white marks on it… -on the balcony behind the aircon had some old used cigarettes

Before travel, I had noticed there were comments about the room maintenance especially water tap which can't close it tightly. Water dipping noise all night long. Room door key sensor not sensitive enough. It takes time to open the door. Budget hotel standard! Genrally the location is good and convenience too.

Central location .Good service AND GOOD PRICE .Clean room and good restaurant made it an attractive option. Will return.

Staff was amazing especially Karen at the front desk. The rooms however were DATED.Carpets were stained, furniture was very old and worn. Maid service was average. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great location within easy walking distance to Botanical Gardens, Central Quays, Bridge and Opera House. Good ameneties at hotel and very comfortable, but a little tired in places and in need of update.

The Oaks Hyde Park Plaza is in aperfect location. It;s close enough to major attractions and never had to use public transit to places likethe Opera House, Botannical Gardens, the Harbour, Central Quay or shopping. The room was large with a kitchenette. The room itself was in need of a major fix up. Even as little as a paint job would have made it better […] and the carpet had a lot of stains. The daily maid serviice was inconsistent. The floors were never claeaned or swept or furniture dusted ( you can see the dust collecting on the furniture on a daily basis) No ice machine although there is a sign for one. The best part was the rooftop pool, hot tub and gym. Great view. If it hadn't been for the fact that we were there mostly just to sleep, since we were touring the city all day, I would have asked for a different room. If I visit Sydney again, I wouldn't consider staying there. The room we had was definitely not a 3 1/2 star room Mehr

Very pleasant room with a nice view over East Sydney.Only grype is about the "Air con" which was very noisey-should be replaced.As windows are sealed I had to have "air con" on to avoid stuffyness.No meal service so it was a walk across Hyde Park to my favourate Restraunt for evening meal.Maybe cereals/bread etc would be good for breakfast-again a walk […] to my work place for breakfast! Upon arrival I was greeted by a very stressed out and rude young man who had absolutely no comprehension of customer service. I booked a four star room which on the website looked absolutely fantastic but to my horror I was put in a room that I would give 1 star. The room itself was at least 30 years old; I could tell from the appliances and the old […] ripped, stained and faded carpet. When I complained to the front desk and asked to be put in a room like what was pictured on the website and that I had paid for I was told "The apartments are privately owned some have been renovated and some haven't, you have one that has not been renovated". I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was none available and someone would contact me but unfortunately no one made any attempt to contact me. Upon check out I went through my list of complaints about the room, the service and the blatant false advertising of the hotel and the young inexperienced girl at reception smirked and said "Well you win some and you lose some". I again asked to speak with a manager and was again told none were available but they had my mobile number and someone would call me. Its been over a month and still no phone call!!! This hotel is disgusting! The rooms are filthy, the service is shocking and the managers do not bother to respond to complaints. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and would not recommend it to my worst enemy! Mehr

poorly maintained walls, carpet, paint--we requested another room, but nothing better was available outdoor gym very poor condition and small with broken machines nice bed and tv great location

Very disappointed - room dirty and shoddy. Housekeeping not good enough. Magnetic key swipe kept failing ( 3 times). Not enough linen supplied. Very over-priced for what we received. Would not recommend to anyone.

Visited Sydney for four days with 2 children. Room was spacious and comfortable with louge area and full kitchen (studio apartment). Central to all city attractions, buses close by and Museum station a 2 minute walk, walking distance to major city attractions, Oxford Street, etc. Room furnishings/decor a little worn and dated, but functional, clean […] and useable. Highly recommended. Mehr

Great location. Room was very spacious and clean, however the customer service of most of the female staff there was quite unpleasant. Great pool and spa rooftop facilities, although the gym needs a little makeover - some of the equipment was rusted and wouldn't work properly. Overall though, a good stay.

We got to the Hotel at 10am after an international flight. The Staff checked us in early and upgraded our room. Beautiful view of the Park. The hotel is basic but rooms are clean and Staff are nice. Very good location. If you get a good deal stay at this Hotel!

we where not happy with the elevator as it takes about 15 minutes at a time to get to where you are or need to be. The spa and pool did NOT heat up at all so it was a huge let down!! other then that we where fairly happy with the stay although we would not recommend you waste your money on this hotel, your better off staying next door at the marriot […] !! Good things: Very good location, walking distances to most of the city attractions. Few minutes walk to/from Museum train station. And also just 5-10mins walk to shopping places. Room was clean and was tydied up everyday by room keeper. Equipments and Utensils in the kitchen are quite enough for use. Not good enough (minor things in my eyes): Staff […] were not very helpful, NOT worse, but I would rank an Average. Do not have expectation on facilities like swimming pool and gym. Seems not quite usable ones. And of course I didn't use them after I saw them. No CCTV in escalators. Overall, I enjoy my stay in this hotel. Mehr

Close to all major sights, with a free bus doing the downtown city centre loop. Bed comfortable but they are skimpy with the towels. They only give you one hand towel although as many bath towels as you want. One day we didn't leave our room until 2:00 pm (jet lag) but when we returned at 7:00 pm, our room had not been made up. We were told that the […] housekeeping staff left after a certain time. The room was comfortable, but in need of repair in certain areas. There were cracks in the sink and bathtub and the walls needed painting, but everything worked fine. Mehr

Oaks Hyde Park is actually like a condo. We had a large studio, full kitchen, balcony, on the 10th floor. The room was clean, quiet, & comfortable. There is a hot tub, heated pool, sauna, etc. on the roof. We could see the nightly fireworks over Darling Harbor from our room. We were only there for 2 nights. It's different from a hotel/motel...there […] was no daily maid service. Also, no ice. The service at the front desk was very helpful. There's Duffy's Super Market on Oxford St., only about 2 blocks. Also, turn right on College, walk 2 blocks, then right on Stanley for about 3 blocks. Lots of Bistros & restaurants, prices are good for the area. Hop-on/Hop-off bus stops at the museum just 3 blocks from the hotel. No Internet, but lots of Convenience stores on Oxford that have it. Mehr

Excellent location. Good neighborhood, next door to major luxury hotel. Convenient to pubic transportation and walking distance to many sites, restaurants, parks, etc. Helpful and efficient staff. Well maintained, older building, large and comfortable studio room, good air conditioner, average bathroom. Noise from traffic even on top (15th) floor calmed […] about midnight. great location, close to musuem station, and walking distance to everywhere. Jaded room though, was like walking back in time to the seventies and the shower leaked. Staff only made half the bed as well? Definately needed air conditioning on all the time as very noisy if door to balcony open. Located in gay party district, so noisy all night long. Overall, our stay at the Oaks Hyde Park Plaza was good. The hotel is old and needs to be upgraded. The 1bedroom apt is large but the carpet needs major cleaning or needs to be replaced. Be aware that doing your laundry in the hotel is extremely expensive. The best part of this hotel is its location which is near to the Tram station and is very convenient […] to get around town. Close to train system for excellent transport to all areas. Clean and tidy. Helpful staff.

I found this hotel excellent value for money, centrally located and clean and comfortable. Rooms were also very well appointed with kitchen facilities a bonus.

A good location and a fair price and condition. The room was quiet, good space and everything that was needed. Only the hallways and carpets were looking a little tired, the overall condition was good. Staff were polite and helpful. Would recommend the hotel and will be staying there again.

excited when we saw the king size bed until i realised it was two singles pushed together, the middle was aweful, two ends of the bed were digging into my back, we had three in the bed. TV - no digital, antenna was terrible. Ina good location for all the sights of Sydney but we had a 1 year old with us and it was not ideal! We had prebooked a cot but it took at least an hour to get in the room and the reception staff were not helpful. Best for singles/groups wanting to be in the heart of the noise

This hotel offered friendly service, well appointed clean rooms and parking. An affordable hotel in the center of the city. Would recommend to others.

Worked out at very good value, for a room way bigger than anything in Europe, plus really nice roof area with pool and jacuzzi. the bar and resturaunt area feels too segregated but whole city outside to eat and drink from anyway. Would stay here again

The hotel is lovely and in a great location. The only problem is that it only has one bathroom for a family of 6 to share which gets very close quarters. Also, two people have to sleep on a pull-out to fit 6 people, which is allowed. Know that the room will be tight, but you will be in a great part of Sydney and will probably not spend too much time […] there. Mehr

My wife and I were half way through our trip west around the world, and Oaks Hyde Park Plaza was an excellent home away from home. Pro's include easy train from Sydney airport to Hyde Park (Museum station), efficient check-in, beautiful location facing the southeast corner of the park, walking distance to all the funky little restaurants on Oxford Street, […] and even walking distance to the Sydney Opera House (where we enjoyed the theater as well)...my wife was most excited that we could do our laundry in the room, and the only real Con was that they charge for internet which should be universally free at this point in history! Overall, we thought it was an amazing value for the price we paid, and would definitely stay there again. Did I mention that one of Sydney's innumerable delicious Thai restaurants is located on the ground floor? "Well tidy!" Mehr

I had the studio apt and it was wonderful. The full kitchen and living room area made for a nice relaxing atmosphere. One block from the Museum train station - very convenient. 25 minute walk to the Circular Quay - walk on George Street. 1/2 block away from internet cafe.

Great location but carpets need replacing in the room, lift and corridors. Bed linen clean and bed comfortable. Idea of charging clients for fire alarm going off quite unusual, just put in an extractor in the kitchen

Not bad for 3 1/2 star studio apartment. Could benefit from renovations. Room quite large. Has most things you need but not modern. Value if can get a discounted rate.

The Hotel Staff were very helpful. The room was sufficient - nothing too fancy but had everything we needed. Great location, easy to get everywhere.

Hotel was booked well before our travel dates and when we arrived we had asked for twin share and the hotel was unable to give us this as they had given our room to another guest, hotel would not give us an upgrade as they claim they were totally booked. Our rooms had no towels in it and we had to wait 6 hours as the staff claimed that they had run […] out of clean linen. Mehr

Older establishment with great lobby. Room was small, kitchen was smaller, but adequate. Level of cleanliness was ok. Staff was helpful with directions. But the location at the bottom of the park is perfect for getting around Sydney -- Circular Quay, Darling Harbor, monorail, etc. After all, you're in Sydney to do business or see the sights, not spend […] time in a hotel room! Great location, nice, older hotel. Rooftop pool is "solar heated," meaning COLD unless the sun is shining. Otherwise, no complaints.
