Zimmer war schön und sauber, mit Balkon. In der Nähe von Little Italy, San Diego Zoo und Sealand sind mit ca 10min Autofahrt gut zu erreichen. Dieses Hotel ist nur weiter zu empfehlen, würde es jederzeit wieder buchen. Preis Leistung Top!

Sehr sauber, schön und man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Gut gelegen und ein Cookie als Begrüssungsgeschenk, leider ist der Parkplatz nicht imbegriffen, aber sonst war alles toll, auch das Frühstücksbuffet was man für 13 Dollar zusätzlich haben kann!

Was nice stay for the most part. The lobby disk came off rude. Every one else was fine. Be aware that if you have a car it can cost you up to 25 a day. Wasn't happy about that either

I was staying at the hotel wishing having a romantic gate away for my mother's day week end with my boy friend and kids. We plan to swim and have a lot of fun at the pool prior to our romantic dinner... Unfortunately the pool was close for renovation... The front desk even did not up grade or compensate us for anything... They send us to swim at the […] next door hotel which is four point... The hotel swimming pool under construction. Instead of provide us with complementary, they send us to four point hotel to swim. We checked it out the pool is so ugly and very dirty. Overall, we are very disapointed to stay there. Parking area also very horrible.

Parking fees too high. Parking facilities too narrow. Small selection of TV channels, very few options for Spanish speaking channels. It was very inconvenient no to have ESPN Deportes, Fox deportes, BeIng and Univision sport channels. But the people are very nice and helpful.

Close to Gaslamp. It was walkable from the hotel. The parking was a bit of a nightmare. The ramps were too narrow. Did not like how we had to pay a nightly rate for parking. The room was fairly clean, minus the coffee station- but that was okay because I am not a coffee drinker. Overall it was not bad for Double tree.

Great location off the highway with a few shops and small restaurants close by. Can be loud being so close to the highway and streets tho. Pool was being renovated while there but I'm sure it will look great when done.

The hotel was booked based on its closeness to the airport and the fact that they advertised free airport shuttle service. I called the hotel to set up a ride on the shuttle. After waiting a half hour where the receptionist told me to wait I noticed the shuttle leaving without me. I tried to get their attention as there was still room in the van. The […] driver said o just take a taxi. I again called the hotel before taking a taxi in case there was another shuttle. The receptionist approved the taxi telling me that that she only had one driver and he told people to take a taxi when he didn't want to pick up some people. No explanation was given to me as to why the driver choose not to pick me up but he had no intention of returning for me either. This will be my first and last stay with Double Tree. I have never been treated with so little respect. in my life and travel often. The disrespectful staff made me feel like pond scum and if I hadn't paid hotels.com upfront, I would have never have stayed. Certainly hurts hotels.com image as well. Mehr

Great room, loved the warm cookie. Very friendly staff, very helpful, we were new to the city and appreciated their insight. Walked to Little Italy, downtown clean very safe, saw lots of families, people walking dogs and enjoying sidewalk cafes. Room was quiet, express checkout very useful. Hotel was nice but way too close to the highway with lots of traffic noise. Parking garage charged guests to park and the parking garage itself was a nightmare to drive in. Thinnest I've ever seen. If you stay at the hotel you should be able to park for free.

This was a great hotel to stay in for our weekend trip to San Diego! It's about 10min drive to sea world. It's 5min walking distance to little Italy and about 15mins walk to the Gas Lamp district! The surrounding area was beautiful, clean, and felt safe!

When I stay at a double tree I expect to not notice anything but how pretty, comfortable and perfect everything is. This hotel was lacking good management. The lobby had a pretty water dispenser with fruit inside for thirsty guests but there were no cups to have a drink. The room was tidy but not clean, the lampshades were all very crooked and pillows […] weren't neat. There was a ring around the bathtub and crumbs on the floor. The pillows were old and as a result kept flattening all night so it was a rough nights sleep. It is also next to the I-5 so the freeway noise was non stop. There wasn't even a vinyl door to help minimize the sound. The tub was also leaky so it was a drip drip drip sound all night. When we were leaving in the morning, there was trash in the hallway and a maid several doors down who obviously wasn't in any hurry to pick it up. In the lobby was the same fruit container from the day before with fermenting fruit and still no cups. This was around noon so that water had been the same without cups for at least 23 hours since I was there. Parking is $25 per night which was an unexpected expense since we were hotel guests. Overall, I left disappointed because normally double tree experiences leave you feeing good and this one didn't. Mehr

Everything was excellent except for the security staff. Very rude. And parking is $25 in the hotel. Park across the street for $10.

My husband and I had a horrible experience. First the service wasn't nice, parking was horrible I couldn’t barley fit my car in the parking lot plus I had to pay 25 bucks a night for parking, the wall where thin in the room so we can hear everything on what’s going on, in the morning when people where taking their showers we can here the water running […] and the bath tub was making weird noises so we couldn’t sleep, the room was hot and when we turned the A/C it would make noises, and plus the bed was not comfortable. I will never stay in that hotel. I was disappointed that it was rated as a 4.0/5.0 I think it should be a 2.0/5.0. Mehr

We just stayed here for the first 2 nights of our trip with our 6 month and wish we stayed here the whole time! What a location!! We used to live in San Diego and this is close to everything and just 3 blocks from the trolley so a car is not even needed!! will definitely stay here again

The area was convenient and a 20 minute walk to Seaport Village. Only a couple if minutes from Little Italy with its great assortment of Italian restaurants. Easy access to I5 and the I8. Super friendly staff. Pretty good breakfast. The parking is really tight. I drive an Acura TSX and it seemed too big at times. I don't think double beds are the way […] to go. My wife and I struggled to share the bed and we missed our queen size bed at home. March isn't exactly warm so the pool wasn't used but it looked great. Mehr

Close to everything downtown. Airplanes flying over are very loud, but that is expected this close to the airport. Be forwarned you will be charged $25 per day for parking, I was not aware beforehand. Room service is high, better off just going downstairs and bringing back to room. But overall very clean, looks remodeled and great view.

The hotel and the staff was great. Comfortable room, central to lots of stuff to do. I requested a wake up call to run the half marathon and never received it. I just made it in time to the run and had to start cold without stretching. We needed a nice hotel close to the Zoo and airport and the Doubletree was perfect. Warm cookies upon check-in were a nice touch. Even ended up on the 22nd floor with a fantastic view. The only negative was that we were next to a very loud (and drunk) couple - but we can't hold the hotel responsible for that.

I was catching an early flight out of San Diego, and this hotel was perfect. Friday night was discounted, the room was exceptionally clean, and even being across from the airport was not bad. The staff doing the airport run was exceptional. Early shuttles, well timed. Room was very clean.

The free shuttle from airport was a nice perk to skip the rental car and parking. A great value and the staff was very outgoing. Close to Little Italy which has the best restaurants. It's less touristy than other areas so we like the quiet neighborhood feel with lots of restaurants to chose from.
