Durch die gute Lage zu U- und S-Bahn ist das Hotel ideal für Berlinbesichtigungen. Für 2 Erw. und 1 Jugendlicher (14 Jahre) war das Zimmer sehr geräumig. Auch die Betten gaben keinen Grund zur Beanstandung. Das Frühstück ist seinen Preis wert.

Das Hotel ist günstig gelegen. Ein Einkaufszentrum sowie die U-Bahn-Station und der S-Bahnhof "Gesundbrunnen" sind nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Doch wenn man nach vorne hinaus ein Zimmer hat, hört man die Züge, da die Fenster leider nicht schallisoliert sind. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist einfach klasse!!!

Das Hotel liegt nicht wirklich in Berlin Mitte....es liegt im Stadtteil Wedding. Das Hotel ist ziemlich renovierungsbedürftig. Die Zimmer sind auf keinen Fall 4 Sterne, eher 2. Kein besonders hervorragendes Holiday Inn, aber dennoch für den Preis absolut ok. Unüblicher Weise hatte das Zimmer noch kein Flachbild-TV. Zimmer zur Strasse hin war durch Auto und S-Bahn Verkehr relativ laut. Auch in der Nacht. Das Frühstück war rechhaltig, aber für 17,00 Euro pro Person sehr überteuert.

Der Aufenthalt insgesamt war OK. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Im Zimmer selber waren leider keinerlei Hinweise zum Hotel. So hätte man z.B. die Sauna, wenn man vorher nicht informiert gewesen wäre, nie gefunden. Die Sauna selber ist recht klein, max. 4 Leute sitzend. Handtücher gibt es dort reichlich, auch stehen einige Fitnessgeräte dort zur Verfügung. […] Im Zimmer angekommen, muss man, bei 5°C Außentemperatur, erstmal das Fenster schließen um nicht zu erfrieren. Das Gleiche gilt fürs Badezimmer, erstmal unters Waschbecken kriechen und die Heizung anstellen. Die Lautstärke mit geschlossenem Fenster war dann ganz OK in der Nacht, obwohl draußen Kopfsteinpflaster verlegt ist. Das Frühstücksangebot ist gut, verschiedene Brötchen, Rührei, Speck, div. Würstchen über gefüllte Pfannkuchen... alles auch ziemlich lecker. Was jedoch nicht geht ist a) der Preis von 17€ und b) der Service. Anstelle jemand mit einer Liste dahin zu stellen, dass auch garantiert jeder erfasst wird, sollten sich mehr Leute um die Gäste kümmern. Nachdem ich meinen 2ten Gang verzehrt hatte wurde ich dann endlich nach Kaffee gefragt. Habe dann dankend abgelehnt. Mehr

Meine Buchung umfaßte zwei Nächte. Der Preis ist sehr günstig. Dafür zugebuchtes Frühstück und Tiefgerage doch im Preis für die Hotelklasse überhöht. Pro Person 17, bzw.12 Euro ist meines Erachtens Überzogen, zumal kein Parkplatz vor dem Hotel zu bekommen ist. Die vorhandenen Parkplätze sollten den Hotelgästen vorbehalten sein. Leider wird das Hotel nicht wirklich durch den Holiday Inn Konzern gefuehrt, was letztendlich am allgemeinen Einrichtungsstandart erkennbar ist. Als besonders ungenuegend empfand ich die unzureichende Lichtzufuhr im Bad, was sich letztendlich negativ auf die Rasur bzw. das schminken von Damen auswirkt. Sehr gute Familienzimmer für 4-5 Personen, sehr guter Service. Sehr gute Lage, nahe an der U-/S-Bahn Gesundbrunnen und somit ist man in kürzester Zeit schnell in der City.

Wir haben 2 Nächte im Hotel verbracht. Die Buchung war sehr komplikationslos. Jedoch war das Zimmer extrem aufgeheizt, was sich nachts auch nicht durch offene Fenster abkühlte. An Schlafen war dann nicht zu denken, da Berlin NIE schläft!!! Leider hat die Minibar die Getränke nicht gekühlt - sie war wohl defekt. Ständiger Lärm durch Flugschneise (Flughafen Tegel); Restaurant eher auf Gruppen als auf Einzelreisenden eingerichtet. 17 Euro für ein Frühstück! Ein Hotel ohne Höhen und Tiefen. Beim Frühstück wird es aber heikel. 17 € pro Person ist selbst für ein Büffett recht happig. Zum Glück gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe reichlich Abwechslung und die nächstgelegene Currybude Richtung "Gesundbrunnen" zählt ganz sicher zu den besseren in Berlin.

Seitdem die H-I-Hotels in einer Art Franchise betrieben werden, geht es immer mehr bergab. Es wird nicht(s) mehr inverstiert, alles ist abgewohnt, muffig, klamm, kalt, schimmlig, unbehaglich. Die Matratzen sind z.T. durchgelegen und die Kissen minderwertig(er). Das Frühstück glänzt durch Einheitswurst aus der verschweißten Tüte. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis […] definitiv nicht mehr. Die Flure schon sind muffig und laden nicht zu einem Verweilen ein. Das gleiche Phänomen widerfuhr uns schon in H-I's in München. Das Hotel entspricht keinen 4 Sternen. Das gesamte Hotel und die Einrichtung, speziell im Zimmer, sind sehr alt. Der gesamte Eindruck ist alt und abgewohnt. Das Bad entspricht Standard 80iger Jahre. Es ist ein Dauergeräusch im Bad, was sich wie Wasserrauschen anhört und morgens riecht es nach Abfluss. Das Zimmer ist für 3 Personen sehr klein, obwohl […] wir eine "Suite" gebucht hatten. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der U-Bahnstation und an einem Einkaufscenter. Nur drei Stationen vom Alexanderplatz entfernt. Sehr sauber und netter Service an der Rezeption.

für eine Stadtbesichtigung ausreichend, aber viel sollte man von dem Hotel nicht erwarten. Das Hotel liegt, trotz des Namens "Berlin Mitte", über 4 km vom Zentrum entfernt. S-Bahn und Straßenbahn Haltestelle ist aber dafür gleich um die Ecke vom Hotel!

Clean hotel, friendly reception staff, very close to Gesundbrunnen train station (S-bahn and U-bahn). Not exactly "Mitte", but very close to trains getting you into the real "Mitte". Didn't eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the meals. Staff were always friendly and helpful - I don't agree with other reviews about unhelpful staff. They're not in-your-face […] friendly, but everyone was very helpful and courteous when asked. Everyone spoke very good English. "Gym" is very small and the equipment didn't work well. The sauna is small but nice. Disadvantages - the windows do not keep noise out very well - if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The Internet is cheap, but should be free - hopefully the hotel will change their policy soon. And I would recommend housekeeping spend a couple of minutes extra in each room and ensure the plugs/drains aren't blocked with lots of hair. The rooms size was good. Breakfast was very good, however their was no free Internet, no complimentary water. In the room for a family of 6 there were only 2 tea bags. A customer car park was not free either. The shower area wasn' tthought through, as the water would go all over the bathroom floor when someone was having a shower. The hotel is really close to a station with different lines which allows you to move around the city easily, there is also a shopping centre and a few coffee shops around. The location is not as central as you would expect however it is not bad. A taxi from Alexanderplatz is around 10 euros.The hotel however doesn't feel like a 4 stars,more like a 3 […] stars. Breakfast is 17 euros which is a bit expensive. No coffee or tea facilities in the room, no iron in the room, although they give you a key for another room where you can iron your clothes. Wifi is 10 euros for 24 hrs which you can spread throughout your stay as long as you log off. My real problem with the hotel is that there is no air conditioner and you have to open the windows to get some fresh air which is not that much. Also, we were staying on the 1st floor and because we have to keep the windows open it is quite loud and we could hear all the cars driving in front of the hotel which was not pleasant at night and a bit disturbing. We asked for a fan at reception and they didn't have one. If you plan to stay here, please make sure it is not in the summer and request a top floor and a room not facing the main road. Mehr

The hotel is in a great location, close to the S and U bahn. The breakfast is pricy so we skipped it. The WiFi is pricy, too. WiFi in a hotel should be free! I paid 3 euros for 3 hours. They also offer 1 euro for 30 minutes or 10 euros for 24 hours. Using the lobby computer costs 1 or 3 euros. No air conditioning in room. No safe in room.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was located very near to the local S & U Bahn stations which was very handy. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and gave us lots of useful tips and advice.

We booked two rooms and they were both great!! The in-laws had a standard room that was clean and well stocked with towels and soaps. We also booked the family suite which was perfect. It was two big rooms with four twins to make up two kings and two TV's. The kids watched their stuff and we could catch up on the Olympics... perfect! They also bring […] up anything you may have forgotten in small travel sizes. We ran out of toothpaste, but they also will bring up a diaper, single blade razor, etc. Great service!!! Although this is considered Mitte, it is not central, but is pretty close. S Bahn is a must or rent a car and use the garage. The hotel isn't closed to the main turistic places area, you have to take the metro otherwise is a long way walking. I thought would be a better hotel but I gotta say the service is pretty good. NameHoliday Inn "Mitte" is misleading. It suggests "Center" but is way out yonder. Area is completely uninteresting for a tourist. We were stunned to hear on arrival of a very hot day that there was NO AIRCONDITIONING. To add insult to injury, to open windows one must go to the lobby and put 5 Euros down as deposit on a key to open windows! Some rooms […] (as ours) are in the older part of the hotel and the only way not to struggle with luggage (no porters)up a stairway, was to return to the street and go round the garage way. Excellent, modern hotel but breakfast is overpriced. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is several kilometres from the main tourist area but is conveniently placed close to a train station.

Ideal location for nipping around Berlin via the S-Bahn or underground. Nice park (Hammer) on its doorstep. This seems to be a Turkish quarter so there are loads of cafes offering high quality food.

This hotel is based in the former East Berlin and has no air conditioning, a single elevator, & doesn't have even floors...so treking to your room can be an adventure. With no air conditioning, the room simply wasn't comfortable. Definitely NOT a 4-star hotel by any standard.

The location is not exactly in Mitte, as it might be seen from the name. Nevertheless, it is 1 min walk from S and U underground stations and just couple of stations away from the centre. In my opinion the prce is slightly higher comparing to similar hotels.

While the building itself is old, the amenities in the hotel made our stay very comfortable. They had a bowl for food and water in the room for our dog, and a very comfortable cot for our baby. It was a bit loud, the doors don't keep out the noise from the hallway at all. And the beds are very typical German, and so really aren't comfortable.
