The management and staff (top to bottom) at this hotel is extraordinary and the service is off the chart. They really make a difference and staying at this hotel is a real pleasure.

This was my second time at the Omni, the staff was very friendly, the hotel was great. It is conveniently located to many areas nearby. Great restaurants, clubs, shopping and attractions all within a close range. The only thing I would improve on was I wish they had free Wi-Fi, because with the tall buildings in Chicago, the cellular reception and Wi-fi […] is not good. To get Wi-fi you had to pay extra per day. Be sure to have the breakfast buffet, its awesome!!!! I would definately stay there again. Mehr

it was a very nice stay, and i was satisfied with nearly all services and accomodations; however, the bed was not as comfortable as i would have expected from this quality hotel. other than that, i was very satisfied and would stay here again.

This was a very pleasant stay. Hotel staff were wonderful, location was great, rooms were very spacious and up to date. Only complaint is the meals, and drinks were on the high side.

Hotel very conveniently located for magnificent mile shopping and restaurants. Nice swimming pool and fitness center. Parking was $52 per night, too much. I found a garage five blocks from the hotel that was $23 per night. Only disappointment was the bedroom tv. In this type hotel a 1990 tube tv is really not acceptable.

Everything I expected from a hotel of this caliber. Clean and up to date rooms, beautiful corner suite view, and the staff was exceptional, treat them right!

Stayed at the Omni on New Years Eve because it was just blocks from the place we were celebrating. It's not our usual, weekend in the city hotel, but it served the purpose well. I have absolutely no complaints about the Hotel. If I were traveling on business, I would have been more than happy with the size and comfort of the room, the friendliness […] of the staff, etc. They do an excellent job with all of the basic "blocking and tackling" aspects. OK, maybe I have one minor complaint. The Omni makes you pay extra to access the wi-fi network. Really? in 2012? Wasn't an issue for a one night stay, but it would have been annoying if we'd been there longer. Over all, though, if you are a business traveller, I would say, absolutely, stay at the Omni. Good value. Nice people. Great location. BUT It's just kind of a boring space. Very cookie cutter, corporate design. If you are a leisure traveller, there are any number of boutique luxury hotels in the neighborhood that offer a similarly high-end experience, but with an infinitely more interesting feel. (Oh, and most of them don't make you pay to access their w-fi network.) Mehr

The service at this hotel is off the chart. A most pleasant place to stay.

To check-in, you will need to take the elevator to the 3rd floor. To get to your room, you will need to proceed to take the elevator to the 3rd floor, then go to another set of elevators around the corner to get to your floor. Although no big deal, it was sort of inconvenient. The rooms are nice. Flat screen in the living room but not in the bedroom […] (a tube TV instead which you cannot turn left or right - the TV is not centered in front of the bed, and instead located in a corner) - unsure if other rooms are like this. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Great location - Apple and Niketown are directly across the street, as well as many other great stores. 7-Eleven and Walgreens are within 2 blocks. (CTA) train (Chicago station) is also within 2 blocks. I would definetely stay here again..... Mehr

The location is really great, but the hotel room is too small, the pool is a joke - too little. Don't believe the photos. The jacuzzi was out of service even with the website advertising.

I stayed here during Christmas time with my family while on vacation. We loved the hotel and had a great time shopping on the Magnificent Mile nearby.

This hotel was within walking distance of everything downtown! Parking was cheap and right across the street from hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay here again!

Before retirement, I traveled about two weeks during the month and stayed at just about every high end hotel. Never have I experienced better service or a staff that was more friendly, accomodating and well trained. They were truly impressive and I would not think of staying at another hotel in Chicago because of their extraordinary service.

From start to finish, a great hotel. Wonderful location. The room layout is great for a couple and we felt right at home. Cost for valet parking seems high, but it is Chicago.

I stayed at Omni with my husband and 18 month old daughter. I called ahead to request early check in so she could get her afternoon nap in. When we arrived at noon (the time we were told our early check in would be) they said it wasn't ready but should be shortly. Two and a half hours later our room was finally ready. I was shocked they couldn't be […] more accomodating for families with small children, especially for the money we paid for the room. Also, service men in the halfway were very loud and woke our daughter up several times. Pretty surprised at the level of service for what is supposed to be such a great hotel. Mehr

Booked this hotel for 10 women for a 50th Birthday Celebration and the place was a perfect location to anything and everything and just a cab ride away to other sites and shopping.

Our room was nice, spacious and clean! It was a great location for us as we were able to walk to most places we wanted to go. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Great hotel and excellent service. Will definitely stay here again. It was a bummer the hot tub wasn't working. And the pool is not big deal. Workout room is huge. Hotel bar isn't great and drinks are so good either for the price. But, the service at this hotel could not be beat. All the employees were amazing!

My wife and i stayed here over this past labor day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the convience of this hotels location. The service was good as well. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our family of two adults and three kids stayed for two weeks for our family summer holiday. The position was great and right in the middle of everything. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and we enjoyed our stay there very much. The room was light and airy and the bar and restaurant welcoming. This hotel was at the center of everything. We walked everywhere. We were actually there on our honeymoon. They said they upgraded our room when we got there which meant we got a corner room. This was actually not that great because there was a public patio all the way around the room so we had people sitting right next to our windows most of the time […] and they could see into our room if we didn't close the curtains. Other than the room "upgrade" they didn't offer to do anything special to help us celebrate our honeymoon. Overall the hotel was decent but the higher price is probably because of the location, not the room and amenities. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay at the Omni in Chicago. It is located on Michigan Avenue, in the heart of all the shopping. There is an excellent menu at the hotel to grab breakfast, etc. Also, the staff was extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Of note, parking is $52/night. You could find cheaper parking in a nearby garage if you so chose. Our room was fine, but […] could have used a little extra care by the housekeeping staff: an old battery & bottle cap were on the carpet when we arrived, dead bugs in the window sill and the bathroom was a little less than tidy. Nothing we couldn't deal with, but made us raise an eyebrow for the amount of money we were paying. Overall, our stay was fine. Next time though, we'll probably shop around for something else. Mehr

The hotel is located in a great location on Michigan Avenue. Since the entrance is not directly on Michigan Avenue, it feels less chaotic. Great service and personal attention. Turn down service is a great touch and bathroom toiletries give the hotel a luxurious feel. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Even though my room was next to the elevator, the room […] was very quiet. Only inconvenience is having to take two elevators to get to the guest room floors. Mehr

We were a pretty high-maintenance family this weekend but Hotel staff didn't miss a beat. They were willing to do whatever it took to accomodate us. The Omni absorbs guests very well. Found out that Hotel was booked solid this weekend but never felt over-crowded. We've stayed at a few different hotels downtown but have finally found our home away from […] home! Mehr

The location was excellent 3 blocks from the subway. The check in process was easy, we could walk to many venues. The room was a semi-suite - it was kept very clean. the hotel breakfast was enough food to hold you to dinner. Based on the Chicago Omni - I will stay at an Omni whenever I travel

This hotel was clean, comfortable and in a great location for most leisure activities in downtown Chicago. The only disapointment we had was breakfast. The hotel offers either a buffet or off the menu. Two of my children went with the buffet and the rest of us ordered off the menu. It took 45 minutes to get an omelet, a bowl of cereal and a bowl of […] berries; and I sent the omelet back because it was cold. I thought breakfast was overpriced. The resturant manager was responsive to our complaints. I would stay in this hotel again but I would recommend eating breakfast at a different location. Mehr

Great location. Walking didtance to shopping, river tour and pier. Lots of really good restaurants close by. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Had a four night stay in the Omni and it was great. Hotel was excellent and close to all tourist attractions - North Michegan Ave on doorstep. Rooms are big and spacious and very clean.Would recommend hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go there again.

Omni Hotel on Michigan Ave in Chcago GREAT PLACE to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. Location was awesome, right on Michigan Ave within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing tours. We had a great time. Would definitely stay there again.

We was disappointed that the hot tub in the fitness area was not working. We figured that a hotel as expensive as this one to stay at would have everything working properly. Chicago is a huge town with a lot ot see, which involed a lot of walking. The hot tub would have been nice to relax those pains away in.
