Fairfield Inn by Marriott Shreveport - Shreveport

The pool is closed indefinitely due to a crack in the pool that cuts your feet. The walls could use pair to cover the chips and the front desk staff can definitely be more proactive in greeting guests. It is frustrating to have a greeter looking at a computer while you wait to be acknowledged.

I was quite disappointed with the quality of the hotel, just was not what I expected. The standard room was small, however I was allowed to upgrade to another room with a little more 'breathing' room. I booked by phone and informed Hotels.com that it would be a very late check-in, however, that was not relayed to the hotel and my room was cancelled. […] After about an hour, I was given a room. Bed was not very comfortable and the sheets were too small. Tub floor felt grainy. Door had no spring and would slam upon closing if not manually closed. The room had a mini-fridge but no mircrowave. The husband was very disappointed with breakfast, his complaint was-no meat. I have to agree, the breakfast was ok at best. Staff was cordial and attentive, however I doubt seriously that I would stay again. Mehr

The only problem that I had was that my room was cold due to the fact that someone had unpluged the heating unit.

I have no problems every time I go to Fairfield inn. I love this hotel.

The hotel was in a nice location, but the noise from the Walmart service station which is right in front of it is bad. Cars coming and going all day long and half the night. The freeway noise could also be heard,very bad. It did not matter which side of the hotel you were on, it was kind of niosy. The staff is very helpful and curtious and friendly […] . Mehr

very nice hotel and a great price!!!

The hotel staff was very courteous. The rooms were nice and clean. The price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The breakfast was just okay - I really didn't care for the self-cook microwave breakfast sanwiches. Overall, it was a great experience.

This was the second time I tried this hotel, and had the same experience both times. It seems that they just can't get around to making up your room, and the front desk is clueless in how to deal with it. You get told there is nobody there to do it, and that they do not have access to fresh towels, etc. Even the managers can't call you back in order […] to address the problem. Definitely will NEVER be back. Mehr

Key would not work second night....Desk clerk was eating chicken with her fingers...Kept lickin her fingers clean and eating while swiping new key cards...I asked for a kleenex to wipe the cards before I would touch them.... 1. Staff should not eat at the counter at 8:00 pm 2. Staff should not eat with their fingers... 3. Staff should not lick their […] fingers... 4. Staff should not talk with their mouthful... If she worked for me I would have fired her in the first 15 minutes... Mehr

the only thing i think that could do better. is the beds. a nice thicker pillow top. great people.

After receiving a confirmation from Hotel.com we arrived at the hotel and were told there were no King Size room available. The clerk, after I insisted that we had booked a King Size changed another customers room and gave us the room we had booked.

The hotel was ok for the price.

Very satisfied with this room. I am very conscious about cleanliness and this hotel was one of the cleanest i have ever stayed in. Well worth the money. Close to dining. The only complaint was the noise from the next door room. Walls were not very sound proof.

There is no downside to this hotel. The staff is wonderful, the location perfect and the amenities are what you would expect. I think I must be on my 30th time there and I love every visit.

Nice hotel and room, consistent with the Fairfield brand. Pleasantly surprised to have a refrig. in room.

The beds were very comfortable, with the best pillows & blankets! Staff was friendly & efficient. Loved the coffee & breakfast provided in the mornings. Would stay again!

A little pricey, but best in the area. Room was very nice. The brealfast. was good. Location handy to shopping and interstate.

The hotel is nice enough but the staff left a lot to be desired. The room was clean but the air had been off for who knows how long, leaving a stuffy mildewy smell the moment I walked in my room and it then took aboout a 1/2 hour to cool off. Ours was an unusual situation but we arrived at 1:30 am after a long drive to be greeted by a woman not happy […] to be there who just stared at me until I told her we had a reservation under my name..."Our system is down." she said. When I asked what that meant and how long it would be before she could get us in a room she said she didn't know how long but she can't do anything without her system. I get that technical issues occur, but her attitude and lack of communication or offering us anything while we waited, left a bad taste in my mouth. Mehr

this hotel was ok, compared to other marriott brands, the room was ok, had no towels in the room, when I did get towels did not receive small face towels

Cracker Barrel and WalMart nearby. Breakfast provided was ample and tasty. Made it easy for us to get back on the road quickly in the morning.

This hotel perfectly suited our needs - convenient, affordable and clean. The rooms are spacious and well designed. The grounds and public spaces are attractive, well lit and maintained. Outstanding breakfast and friendly staff.

Easy to find location off the Interstate with nearby restaurant choices. Staff had recommendations ready, and we were pleased with our choice for dinner. Comfortable room that was quiet considering the location of the hotel.
