Sands Regency Casino Hotel - Reno

Ich bin Diabetiker und muß meine Insulinspritzen sehr kühl halten. In las Vegas habe ich sofort einen Kühlschrank kostenlos zur Verfügung bekommen. Im Sands hab e ich auch gefragt, da wurde mir gesagt, erkostet 12.99 $. Das war mir dann doch zuviel . Über die Hälfte vom Zimmerpreis. Die Dame sagte nur schnippisch, entweder sie brauchen ihn oder nicht. […] Ich habe mich dann mit Eis beholfen. Außerdem wurden 2 $ pro Tag für irgendwelche Hotelsteuer, die mir keiner erklären konnte, verlangt. Andererseits gab unsx der Supervisor ein Zimmer einen Tag früher zu sehr guten Konditionen, und der Wellness-Bereich Sauna, Dampfbad, Jaccuzzi und Fitnessraum war kostenlos zur Verfügung, sehr gut. Hotel liegt zentral. Aber wenn die Zimmer im alten Trakt liegen (nicht im Dynasty Tower) wird man jede Nacht von der vorbeifahrenden Bahn geweckt! Alles Andere war OK.

They state that they are pet friendly and then charge you $50.00 deposit and an additional $17.00 a night per pet. They then put you in one of their pet roims. The room is terrible, it has torn carpet and pet stains all over the room. The put the TV up on a pole. Our room had no hot water and the heater/cooler did not work. WE HAD A NICE TIME, BUT THE MOTEL SEEMED TIRED AND THERE WAS NOISE ALL NIGHT FROM THE ELEVATORS. THE ROOM COULD OF USED A COFFEE POT AND A SAFE, BUT THE FURNITURE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. IT WAS NICE BECAUSE WE COULD WALK TO EVERYTHING WE WANTED TO SEE.

Made reservation 2 months in advance, had confirmation number, credit card was charged for stay, everything should be good right? We roll in to check in and they have no rooms and our confirmation # doesn't do us any good. They ended up putting us in a smoking single bed room next to the elevator the first night then moving us into the room we had reserved […] the next night but wanted to charge us to move! Ridiculous! Over the last two years, I have stayed in this property several times on business. I have noticed a steady improvement in the appearance of the property, the quality of the staff, and the comfort of the guest rooms. Almost all of the issues there were before, (hard beds, lumpy pillows and bad climate control) have all been remedied. This is a very good […] quality property. the pool was drained and nowhere did it state that information when we booked the reservation. The shower was semi-broken.

I booked a double queen bed room online. When I got to my room it was a single queen bed. We also noticed a very strong butt odor. Honestly it smelled like they just got done filming an adult movie in there. When I went back down to check in I had to wait in line again. The first time checking in the young lady made some dumb remarks to me but I let […] it slide. once we finally got into our "non smoking room" it smelled like an ashtray. Nothing we did could get rid of the smell. There were burn holes in the shower curtain. Also barely any water came out of the shower head because they never clean it. The room didn't come with an iron so we had to request one. They finally brought it to us 2 hours later. So we were late on going out. Apparently it must be the only iron in the entire hotel because the house keeping lady had came back later on to pick it up for another guest. At check out I noticed they were telling everyone that they had to pay for calls that were made. When it was my turn she tried charging me for calls. neither of us had made calls because we both have cell phones. When I told the lady that she got an attitude and then called the manager. I refused to pay for calls I didn't make. So she took it off. I suggest they hire people with better customer service, purchase some more irons and use febreeze in rooms. a few disappointments: 1- no free WiFi....$4 for 3 hours? really? 2) i would've liked a binder of some sort that had a map of the city, maybe where the closest hospital was and restraunts NOT downtown and maybe information about what restraunts were in the hotel an a map of the hotel where those restraunts were located 3) I was disappointed that I was […] told of the city tax i had to pay when i checked in. 4)the day we checked out, the elevator didn't stop on the 15th floor. We had to load our baggage up again and walk to the other side of the hotel to an elevator that worked. 5) we had a non-smoking room but the hallways smelled of smoke. 6) housekeeping knocked on my door at 8am Sunday morning, but they did a good job cleaning my room! I reserved online 2 nonsmoking room and when I checked in the front desk said there's only one non smoking and she said its not a guarantee it's only a request, well she finally got us a nonsmoking room but it's the one close to the elevator so I didn't sleep all night worst experience in a hotel. I should have gone to smaller hotel

it was nice - people there were very friendly and informative. Services was great and we all had a good time

Staff was very welcoming.Coffee served in mugs on the casino floor which was a nice change.Elevators a little sketchy.Very old school.Wished poker room had more tables open unable to join in.

I had a good time.

We were disappointed when we walked into our room (Although part of me wonders if this representative of most Reno hotels). The decor was dated, our comforter had cigarette burns, and the room just smelled--- well, bad. The actual casino was fun-- very cheap beers downstairs. It was pretty convenient to the Silver Legacy/El Dorado megaplex. Also convenient […] to the lovely Truckee River. Mehr

In a nonsmoking room but smoke was coming in through the vent in bathroom. Air conditioner would also not work at night. Maintenance came the next day and blocked the vent and fixed air. Building is old and surrounding area is run down. Good value if you know what to expect.

Only one problem,,,we had no hot water at night. In morning only enough hot water for one shower.

Cheap, but old and very noisy.

Nice and clean. Close to hospital and doctors. Good food. The walls however are a little thin, As long as you don't have loud neighbors. The rooms are priced just right.

We are always comfortable there. Nice Locotion, pretty quiet5. nice selectin for us on where to eat

The stay was excellent.

The room was clean and the staff was very gracious. This was the most reasonable rate and the restaurant inside (The Copa) was delicious and reasonalbe prices. I have stayed there in the past and will stay there again when I go to Reno which is usually once a month.

My best friend and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday, I was visiting my boyfriend in Herlong. I knew Sunday that we would have a late checkout, since my visit was not over until 3pm. So I went to the front desk Sunday morning and informed them that we would have a late checkout and that my friend would be staying in the room. […] They charged me for a late checkout (which I was aware of) and I told them that we would check out by 4:00pm. While I was in my visit on Sunday, my friend left the hotel room to go eat. When she came back to the room around 12:00pm, she was locked out. All of our belongings were still in the room. She went down to the front desk and they told her that she was not allowed in the room because I did not provide the front desk with her name, which they never asked for. She had to argue with the management for almost an hour to get back into the room. They told her they needed to speak with me before they would let her back in, but I did not have my phone on me. finally after she provided them with information, like my birth date, the time we checked in etc. They let her back in. The upside: Our room was extremely comfortable. The bed was awesome, big bathroom and plenty of room for the both of us. For the price, I would have expected more channels on the tv (only a few came in clear and one of those was in spanish), and free wifi. The buffet was $12.99 and wasn't good at all. We ended up going to Circus Circus after my visit on Sunday and their buffet was much better. I would not recommend a stay here based off the customer service. However, if you're just staying a night with a regular checkout, for the price it wasn't bad. Mehr

Very nice and quiet no kids. Cheap drinks and slots were very forgiving and let u play for more than 10 min. LOL

no microwave or fridge in room. Casino very smokey, not well vented but room wasn't affected.

My wife and I went to this hotel too re-kindel our love for each other, and save our marriage. It's a good thing we focused on each other and not our hotel room. Because we would be divorced now! Our hotel room was bland, they had an old 1980's television in there, expecting it to entertain people. The beds were hard to sleep on, and we had luke-warm […] water, Not Hot! We've been to better places in small towns around the country. I mean for this to be a "CASINO HOTEL" with all the money there getting off people. I do not recogmend this hotel to anyone to stay at, especially if you plan to have a romantic time! Mehr
