Days Hotel Airport - Indianapolis

The facility was fine but no functioning restaurant. No other restaruants within walking distance exept for another hotel.

i have stayed at this hotel for about 3 times now. every time it just gets worse. this time i checked in at 12:30am, and booked king non-smoking but they only had 2 queen. went to the room, there was no hot water. I called front desk and they said they were NOT aware of this. NO resolution. I waited till morning, i had hot water for about 5 mins, before […] i was ready for shower, it went out again. I called front desk this time and they instructed me to leave water on for awhile. Few mins later, i finally had hot water. It was such a pain in the butt,.... would not recommand this hotel if they continued with this kind of service...... Mehr

They put us on the 7th floor and the shower was luke warm at best. We asked for another room and were given another on the same floor. The clerk said to let the water run for 5 mins to get hot. It never did. We were late for an event so we took luke warm showers. There were only 4 channels on the TV. The clerk said more channels were too expensive […] for the hotel. The restaurant was closed due to an issue with the cook. Breakfast was frosted flakes or cheerios, fake oj, and warm, not hot coffee. Mehr

I first had a room with no hot water and they moved me to another room which did at least have hot water. My concern with the rooms without hot water is that they must not use hot water to clean with each day. When I attended breakfast they did not have any milk and only had cereal and bread with a toaster. Breakfast was a joke and it took them over […] an hour to get milk when a store was within a block of their hotel. They had ice machines on all the floors but none of them worked except the icome machine in the lobby. Having a hotel with over 300 rooms and not having any staff on the location was also a main problem as the desk clerk was the only person onsite in the mornings... I would really check in to another hotel if staying in this area. The only reason I continued to stay for my whole stay was that I prepaid thru hotel.com site. Mehr

The smell of mold was so strong all over the place , the wall paper was peeling off the wall and spider web in every corner of the room, Thank God I was there for only one night and alone,, I do not think this place is safe if you have childern with you. NEVER AGAIN

The staff was friendly, and the stay was very comfortable. The hotel was near all of the destinations that I had planned, and the noise of the airplanes didnt bother me at all. It was close to restaurants, and the price was affordable. The only thing that I didnt like was that in order to have hot water, you had to let it run for almost a half hour […] before you used it. I asked the hotel staff about it and they explained that the water heater was on the complete opposite side of the building and the water had to be run awhile. I hate wasting water, so I suffered with cold water. Not cool. Mehr

No clock in room - asked at desk, never reconciled. Rude front desk clerk. Toilet broken. Coffee machine filthy. Would never stay here again!

Not a bad stay for the price. Definately needs some up dating. There were no vending machines. The water didn't get very hot in the shower. The staff was really great and accomidating.

Everything was awsome the room was clean the beds were comfy. Easy to get to, but for me if the from lady says to you "In the breakfast room" when you ask her "Where is the breakfast located?" That just ruins the whole experience....We had to call her twice and she was rude everytime. O and with the breakfast get there before 730am or else it will all […] be gone because they don't refill anything.....nice room though.... Mehr

For how much this place charges (cheap), it is still not worht your time. When I checked in there were only two other people in the hotel. It is shady and uncomfortable feeling inside. Being a rather robust and tall gentleman, even I felt unsafe here. The hotel itself is out of the way and in the middle of no where you really feel alone, unsafe and […] a bit of a distance outside the city. If you want a better hotel for cheap, this is definitely not worth your time, money or sanity. Spend a couple of more bucks, even five dollars more and get something better. I literally checked in the hotel and popped up my computer and booked another hotel. The reviews and pictres on hotels.com are not really what you are getting yourself into, trust me even though some people say this place is decent, they must all work for the hotel, have some sort of blindness or just trying to make sure the hotel can afford to pay is employees. Cozy, nice restaurant, but the breakfast is less than average

Facility and staff were good. Room was clean but the coffee maker did not work. I was there on a Wednesday and I went down to the lounge to relax but it was closed. Went to the resturant and was advised that they only had a very limited menu because the supply truck has not shown up. The free breakfast was as expected

the only issue i had with my stay was the comfort of the bed, it was just a little bit to stiff from what i am used too. the pillows were the opposite, they were a little to soft and fluffy were i prefer a pillow with more support and firmness. with that being said i was still able to get a good nights rest it just took awhile to get comfortable

Great, convenient hotel that is pet friendly. Pool closed before we got there, but otherwise great hotel for the money!

Stayed here for a night prior to my meeting in Indianapolis. Very kind and courteous service. Room was comfortable and clean. Slept well. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a good deal.

We stayed at the Days Hotel Indianapolis Airport for a sporting event downtown. The hotel is easy to drive to, and the hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Planning to go downtown for a major sporting event; we especially liked that the hotel offered convenient shuttles to and from the event downtown for a low / flat rate. This service was wonderful […] an dvery much appreciated. The room was another story. It was dirty and in need of some serious attention. There were dirty cotton swabs under the bed, mold and/or soap scum in the shower, and the bathroom floor was not clean. In addition many of the wall outlets in the room were so old and used that the plug-ins would not stay in the outlet. In fact, two of the lamps and the alarm clock were unplugged on our arrival and would not remain plugged into the wall. Overall this hotel was convenient with its location near the airport and not far from downtown and the staff was nice and very helpful, but the room's condition made us feel dirty and uncomfortable. The facility itself was nice, however the day to day housekeeping was terrible. The room was half cleaned from the previous guests---trash was full, no soap, no coffee packets and the towels were folded haphazardly. Our next door neighbors found a pair of men's boxer shorts on the bathroom light fixture. Needed room for last minute tickets for game, Only lower priced rooms available. It had the highest rating (3 star) versus other hotels. If they are a 3 then the others must be bad. Room walls were marked. Sheets were wrinkled and looked like they were used or room was not used for months. Room was very cold when we walked in. Heater had to be on high […] or it would turn off. The fan ran all night on high. Location is good to get downtown but hotel needs work. Mehr

Went into this looking at it as a place to crash for a night for my wife and I after the Big Ten Championship game, and that's exactly what we got. No breakfast opportunity, no restaurant on premise, and coffee was in a hallway with no cups, and was terrible . Pizza was being sold at the counter when we checked in and appeared to be frozen pizza cooked […] and thrown on to a rack in a glass case. No shuttle service to anywwhere other than the airport. I asked the front desk if they could get me a cab, and they started looking for a card of the cab company instead of offering to call for me, so I used my iPhone to get a cab and call myself. Room appeared clean, but rusty water came out of the faucet before I took a shower. I would not recommend unless in a pinch, as we were. Got our tickets for the game on Friday, and everything in Indy was booked. Mehr

Nice hotel, Waited about 20 minutes to check in; could of had additional staff to check in at peak times. The hot breakfast was changed by the manager the day of check out to a cold breakfast. If you wanted hot breakfast then you had to pay for it.

We requested no smoking-- but room stunk like smoke I asked for a different room, But they said sorry- they are full Bathroom floor had visible dirt

Inexpensive accommodations. Good for a night. Not the place if you are looking for luxury or a beautiful room.

The hotel was ok, but nothing special. The bed was quite old and flat - could stand to be replaced. I couldn't find the remote for the tv. There was only one person on duty and when I asked for something she seemed really put out. The cook didn't show up for breakfast so the front desk clerk had to make it. For the money or a few dollars more, I'd stay […] at the La Quinta nearby (on Lynnhurst (Lynndale?)) as I did on a previous trip. Mehr

We chose this hotel for its close proximity to the airport, so a relative could take their free airport shuttle at 5am to the hotel. She waited almost an hour, for a 1 mile drive. So disappointing. Although the beds were comfortable and the price reasonable, this hotel has a very run-down feel. Although the sheets were clean, the hotel does not feel […] like a clean hotel. Mehr

All I can say about the breakfast was that it was better than nothing. Cereal, pancakes, toast...great if you're on a carbs-only diet. It wouldn't have taken much to make this a halfway-decent breakfast...juice or maybe even some fruit, and a little bacon or sausage would have been nice!

The location is ok if you're headed to the airport, but there's a lot of construction going on right now around there. Overall, the hotel was below average - not updated in the least. Beds were old and uncomfortable - you could feel the metal springs in them! Not a great value for the price.

The hotel wasn't bad. The staff was kind of rude to the staff from the restaurant but not to us. The staff from the restaurant was extremely kind and pleasant.

I selected the Days Hotel in Indianapolis as it had the last remaining non-smoking room available during my scheduled stay. I must say, as a fairly frequent business traveler, my previous aversion to this hotel chain is well warranted. Not only was the room very noisy - the hotel is located mere feet away from the Interstate, which is constantly under […] late-night construction, and under the arrival path for the airport - but (1) the shower did not work, (2) the advertised wireless service did not work, and (3) there wasn't even a remote control for the television. Add to that the fact that the hotel was filled with teenagers attending the Future Farmers of America convention who thought it amusing to push all the buttons in the elevators, and you have a miserable experience. Upon checkout, I complained to the front desk attendant, who listlessly wrote up a trouble ticket and didn't even bother to apologize or wish me a pleasant trip. I would rather spend the night in a rental car than return to this hotel. Mehr

This hotel was certainly not the best I've ever stayed in, but it was fairly clean. The hotel staff was friendly (all except one individual). Not all the room door locks worked but the staff made sure the room was usable. Maintenance was either never called, or could not fix the problem during the 4 day stay. This hotel is right near construction so it's hard to get to, but the people are friendly. And they let my dog stay (70lbs mutt) without a pet deposit. The breakfast was hot. This hotel is not a spa. It's a hotel that caters to the working class that's traveling through Indy.

The only negative was the construction on 465 not allowing me to exit or enter at the correct place. The people, room, and breakfast were great!

Upon arriving at the Days hotel in Indianapolis the very first thing we experienced was the registration employee having a heated argument with a visitor to the hotel. Not off to a good start. We received our room key and went up to the room to find it facing the highway (not their fault, that is where the hotel is, and a room that is in need of serious […] updating. The furnishings and decor of the room was very old and the carpet was very worn. Beds were OK, not great. The Bathroom. I can honestly say that I have never been in a hotel bathroom that was more filthy than the one that was in our room. There were dirt (or something else) rings in the toilet, they tub was filthy, and the sink and counter were dirty. It was disgustingly gross. The room had a private coffee maker and coffee, nice little touch, but not a single cup to drink coffee or even water. We fortunately had a short stay, and can guarantee that we will not be back. The hotel has obviously seen better days and is very worn out. They are in the process of renovating and re-carpeting the whole hotel, which is nice. The food is out of this world and their dinner sandwiches especially were amazing! The staff went out of their way to help our family eat well, and even provided unofficial room service. The customer […] service is why I would recommend this hotel. On the down side, it is quite run-down and ragged in places. All of the hallways smell of smoke and other icky stuff, even on the non-smoking floors. Also, the elevator controls are so high you would need to be giant to use them. They sometimes stopped and got stuck. and if you are in a wheelchair, this hotel is NOT for you. Despite all of that, the staff was exceedingly accomodating and helpful, which means a lot. The free airport shuttle managed to transport an enormous amount of stuff for us and was very kind in doing so. Mehr

It was very inexpensive...I'll give them that. But I would not stay there again even so. Little things like the van that picks you up at the airport has an inkjet printed logo taped to the window with scotch tape instead of a car wrap or at least vinyl lettering. Not a big deal...but it feels cheap especially after seeing all the other vans pick up […] other passengers. The front desk staff was indifferent at best...I seemed more of a bother than anything else. When I called to ask for the van she said "Oh...your here now?? Check-in isn't until 3:00...I guess I'll find somewhere to put you." The hallway carpet was badly stained. The room (at the end of the hallway) was very noisy from the highway. There was no ironing board in the room; I called for one and they brought me a 1/4 size tabletop kind and an iron that was missing the cap so the water would spill out if not careful. My phone cord was loose so when I called the front desk there was LOUD crackling. The hot water had to be run for at least a minute before it got warm. The Internet (free) kept disconnecting every five minutes even though the signal was very strong. And, finally, breakfast was barely edible with watery eggs, watery potatoes, and under-ripe fruit. One last thing...I was surprised to find out they do not clean the rooms every day. I only stayed two nights but they did not clean the room after the first. Bottom line, this was not worth the money I saved. Mehr

The shuttle to the airport was great, but our room was not clean, or very nice. The hotel staff was also not very friendly. I would recommend it for a short stay and ride to the aiport, otherwise I'd find another spot.

I was initially concerned after booking this place due to some of the reviews I read, but once we arrived, there were absolutely no problems. It is an older property and could use some updating but our room was fine.The bed & pillows were VERY comfortable. The room itself and bathroom were clean. Bathroom had a nice HOT shower with plenty of towels. […] Our bed lamps and clock were't working as those electrical sockets were "dead" but we just used the other wall lights and standing lamp so it was fine. It's a FANTASTIC location, close to eveything we needed to be at for our stay. I would have liked for the breakfast to run until 10 am rather than 9 am, so I was disappointed we missed that as it was included with our stay. It would also be nice if the bar/lounge were open until at least 11 pm or midnight for those who'd like a cocktail before heading up to their room. 9 pm is a little early to close, especially the lounge. Staff was friendly and professional. We would stay here again. Great value for the price!! Mehr

We were pretty disappointed in the condition of the hotel. Both of the bathrooms in the two rooms I saw were in need of repair. It was fortunate we had two rooms, because the toilet in the one room was broken! Neither tub would drain. It took a search of three floors to find a woring ice machine.

coffe pot in room was inoperative management waw told but it wa never replaced no coffe or condiments were avalable Ther was some misinformation about the breakfast sevice.

The bed was horrible. No hot water in the AM, hair in the drain. It was the first day they had the new breakfast - yellow things they said were scrambled eggs, a hard round brown thing that was supposed to be sausage, and yummy potatoes. Now the +'s - good pillows, yummy potatoes
