recommended for good budget accomodation for medium to large familys or groups

Location, price, service was fine but the room we stayed in 233 had bed bugs! We stayed at Aaron's the night before our over seas trip to America were we discovered the hundreds of bites on my girlfriend on the plane! She has been scratching for days now and is required to wear long sleeve clothing to cover the feral looking bites!

Wonderful and helpful staff, our room was lovely.... We only stayed one night (As we were going to a concert at the Sydney Entertainment Center), but it was very relaxing and the location is central to everything...We are planning to book in a few nights stay in a couple of months too...We have already recommended The Aarons Hotel to friends....

It's a small basic room but perfectly adequate and an excellent price for the location, so central and convenient. Noisy, but then that's to be expected. Staff were without fail friendly and helpful, and great to have 24 hour access with so many restaurants and cafes nearby. Would stay again and would recommend.

Location, location is the best about this hotel. For a family, not the best; loud late night parties and backpackers. Not as clean as you would like.

Nice and clean, but with 2 level of stairs to climb in the courtyard rooms. However, it is very suitable for the young and leisure couples.

we got what we paid for. Had no intentions of sitting in the room for hours on end too much to see and do. Room was small and not like the pictur

Good location, in Chinatown near Darling Harbor. Nears trams, trains and buses. Clean hotel. Reasonable fee for internet.

A cute hotel in great location..Staff is very helpful..Good value but not luxurious..Great for budget concious and travellers who like the excitement of inner city. On the downside it's noisy and the curtains don't block the light from the street..But I stay again.

The hote was exactly as described and depicted in the photos. The location was brilliant.

our room's bathroom smell is so bad. And hotel is in China town. Then Outside smell was also bad. But place was very good for sightseeing in Sydeney.

It's been great value for money, great location to Darling Harbour, china town and Sydney CBD. My room was nice, clean and quiet and had a touch of someone who cared. Thank you juergen from the north

The hotel booking via Hotel.com is efficient and reliable. However, the room configuration and layout is rather awkward with a table but no leg room for a chair. The double bed is only quite accessible from one side. The other single bed is located in another partitioned wall that does not benefit from one window air-conditioning unit. Probably, with […] little or no air circulation at all. After servicing the room, I noticed the carpet floor has not been vacuumed and hand towel not replaced. Anyway, these were promptly rectified after my feedback. Overall the hotel service is acceptable and it has been a satisfactory experience and stay. Thank you! Mehr

I will stay here again. The Staff was GREAT!, The room was big but needed a dresser w/ draws. Windows could be thicker. But all in all, Great place!

The room is ugly and extremely noisy during the night. Cannot sleep at all. Not a clean bathroom. Towels all smelly. Not recommend to any one!

Very basic hotel. The pictures on the website are not the rooms you get given. Spoke to others while in the lift and we all agreed!! Oh well, OK for the price. One good thing is the location right opposite Paddys Market and China Town and one block from George St so very good for the buses to the CBD. One block to the Light Rail that goes to the Casino […] & Darling Harbour as well.Heaps of places to eat. Mehr

We had a nights stop over in Sydney which was really only 12 hours, so we decided to stay at a budget place. This hotel is in a good location and a great restaurant just a short walk away. It is what you would expect of a budget place - clean and simple.

It was so noisy all the time and hard to sleep! I found a roach in my room which I hate more than anything. This is a budget hotel and rooms are a bit small.

Close to everything u need trams transport and trains. Don't expect a 5 star hotel but it is definately great value for money. Right across from Paddys Markets awesome.If we had of been anywhere else we would of missed most of the sites that we did see. I have been to sydney before and stayed else were and didnt realise how much l missed until this […] trip and stay at Aarons. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, but it was incredibly noisy! One could hear everything, the traffic, the other guests and during the night, when the rubbish got collected (3 times a week after midnight), I couldn't fall asleep again. After having spent five nights, I was desperate for a good night sleep.

It is in a good location, China Town, may resturants around.

Could not get any sleep, room was too bright and there was constant noise 24/7 from outside on the street. NIGHTMARE

it was a fantastastic stay with the kids,not the fanciest of ammenities but comfortable and easy and very nice and helpful staff

Situated right at Chinatown the location is ideal for eating, shopping and working. The rooms are clean and the service is good. The lobby can be cleaner. Some rooms can be noisy. A change of room reduced the noise level considerably. Hopefully the next time I come back the windows will be sound proof.

Aarons Hotel Haymarket is a great place to stay. Yes it's not 5 star and its basic but you get what you pay for. It's cheap, the rooms are clean, my bed was comfortable and the location was great, close to everything ie Paddys Markets, The Entertainment Centre, China Town & The Exhibition Centre just to name a few. The hotel is conveniently located across the road from Paddy's markets and within walking distance of CBD and china town restaurants. Room was clean and serviced daily. Front desk staff were exceptionally helpful. Overall, a pleasant experience. I have no reservation in recommending this as a budget hotel.

While the Hotel was very close to all sights, the room was very small and the Hotel could do with a refurbishment. As we stayed for 4 nights we thought that we would have a quieter room as we were woken every night with the rubbish trucks and bins starting at 1pm every morning right outside the room. The staff were very good and helped us with any query […] we had. They did recomend an excellent Turkish restaurant not too far away. Mehr

While this hotel was in a very convenient position, we didn't get what we booked and was nothing like the pictures we saw. The bathroom was moldy and the room very basic. The bed was pretty comfy though! The staff were pleasant. I wouldn't stay there again and would prefer to pay a bit extra for something a bit nicer.

Very noisy early in the morning. Don't book this hotel if you are very sensitive to noise. Great place to stay if you need the convenience of being close to the Central railway station.

The Aarons Hotel is located in China Town very close to George Street which is one of the main roads in Sydney. It is very close to Darling Harbour and about a 20-30 minute walk to the Sydney Opera house - so very convenient. My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights towards the end of a 5 week trip around Australia - the room we were in had […] 2 single beds (although strangely the beds were not next to each other but one at the back of the room and one at the front....) The price was very cheap so can't complain too much but I do think it's important to point out to other potential customers that this hotel has paper-thin walls and the noise levels both inside and outside the hotel were unacceptable. The hotel is opposite Market City which is great for food, shopping etc but due to the amount of rubbish generated, there is a rubbish truck that comes every morning between 3-4am - this is completely ridiculous and ensured that my friend and I were woken in the early hours each day to the sound of glass bottles crashing around.... After the rubbish trucks have gone, the cleaners start their rounds approximately 7am and as previously stated, the walls are paper thin. We were also unlucky to have lots of children on our floor who liked to play in the corridor very loudly so any type of restful sleep was pretty much impossible. This is a great place to stay if you are a traveller on a budget. It is as cheap (if not cheaper) than staying in a hostel and you get your own room and shower etc so it's good for privacy and your wallet! If you're a light sleeper though, you may want to look into alternatives.... Mehr

Really conveniently located for Darling Harbour and Central Station. The rooms were basic but had everything you need. As a lone traveller I had a single room and that was competely adequate. The only problem I had was the air conditioning unit installed within the window meant that I could hear the street noise from outside, as I was on the first floor […] and my room faced the back of other shops.
