Sehr gut gefallen hat uns die Lage direkt an der Maria del Rey und am kurzen Sandstrand, denn dadurch musste man nicht unbedingt zum Venice-Beach gehen. Außerdem gab es kostenlosten Internetzugang und ein gutes Angebot an Geräten im Healthclub mit Handtüchern, Wasserspender, Kopfhörer für die Radio- und Fernsehgeräte und frischen Obst. Das Hotel ist […] etwas gehobener, wodurch wir uns nicht einschüchtern ließen. Wir hätten es schön gefunden, wenn noch ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer vorhanden gewesen wäre. Aber auch so ging es ganz gut. We had a great stay at the Marriott. perfect location for our visit, walking distance to beach and breakfast. quiet. lovely lobby and outdoor space behind lobby. would definitely stay again

We just stayed here over the past weekend and were very very happy with our stay. We were able to walk to the beach from the hotel. It was maybe a 15 walk or so - not bad. We enjoyed having a drink in the main lobby as it was very comfortable. Our teenage girls enjoyed using the pool. And the drive to LAX was very, very easy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable bed and clean room. I travel often and now feel the marroitt is my favorite hotel. Marina Del Ray Marriott staff was efficient and very polite. From the time we drove to the front door to the time we left. Every employee greeted us and offered help in any way possible. At check-in the hotel rep lost my driver's license but later found it and returned it to me. Hotel rep then put me in a room with 1 bed instead of the 2 I had reserved. They corrected this as well. The hotel lobby is nice. The rooms are small the hallways and rooms could use updating. The restaurant Stone is very good for dinner. Our bill without alcohol […] was $280 for 4 people. I don't think the lack of atmosphere and casualness meets the pricey bill. The nightclub Glow is outdoors so be prepared for that. It was empty and nothing really going on. They had a New Year's Eve party and it was packed that night. Music thumped until 2 a.m. and I had an early flight but it was New Years and that is to be expected. View of the city from our room was pretty although I had reqeusted a water view. On our first morning at about 8 a.m. we heard a very loud power tool noise. It sounded like a sander. It was very loud and woke us up. We left the room about an hour later and it was still going on. It was so loud you couldn't even talk over it. Valet and Front Desk reps were very friendly and helpful. Front Desk and Concierge were helpful with restaurants. Valet asked if we needed any directions. Overall good location. Close to Santa Monica, Hollywood, Bevery Hills, and LA. It was a clean hotel! I love Marriott because the beds/pillows are so comfortable! I wish the room would have had a refrigerator and a microwave and been a little bigger and included an extra chair but you get what you pay for. Mehr

Stayed here September 2011 for 4 nights. Hotel was excellent, large clean rooms and nice bar areea. Pool was only small but also had a hot tub. It was 10 mins walk from the pier at Venice Beach with all its bars, restaurants and canals. 20 mins drive to Beverley hills and other LA locations but overall a good choice.

Very nice staff, rooms are nice and clean. Located across street from the marina and can rent bikes next door and cruise about 6 blocks to the beach and down the pier. Valet parking only at hotel was only inconvenience.

The hotel is much better than it appears on the website. It is beautiful. The staff is wonderful and truly helpful. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to the beach, shops and resturants, and best of all very close to family. Although everyting is within walking distance, the free beach shuttle is most convenient. I spent a long weekend with my teen daughter and younger son. The staff was extremely helpful and treated us wonderful. The location of the hotel is only 8 walking minutes from a beach and is safe. I will come back and book this hotel again and again.

Rooms were fine but a bit dated---towels were so thin that I was surprised they were still in use by a hotel like this. Bed comfortable Good Restaurant food & good value and good service. Drinks in bar moderately priced but wines on the higher side. Internet a problem in two rooms and had to change. Front desk staff nice but not very " warm and not […] many smiles". More on the business side attitude. Nice lobby for gathering and chatting with frieds as long as it is not a weekend night when the "club" is really busy. Mehr

I wouldn't stay here again. We paid extra for a view and overlooked a shopping center. I don't consider sandwich shops a view. The room also had odor near the entry very reminiscent of feet. The location was good but that's about it.

The air conditioner make a lot of nose

We were in room 709. The rain shower head is too close to the wall across where it comes out of the wall. I don't like rain shower heads. It means washing your hair every time you take a shower.

Beautiful fresh bouquets in lobby set the tone for a lovely weekend.

Front desk was not much help,parking attendants were great, parking $26 a day was way too much. clean nice rooms, nice location, would stay again.

There is a great relaxing outdoor bar called Glow. Excelent place to relax by the fire and smoke a cigar. However, it is odd that the bar was out of matches... Or at least would let that happen. Put a bit of a damper on my experience. Other than that the hotel was nice and I would recomend staying there.

Great hotel, great room, located across from the marina. Requesting a marina view eliminated the noise from the nightclub off the lobby. Will stay again.

The hotel is nice, but you may not get what they promise. I asked for adjoining rooms and did not get it until I fought and got it the second night. Also, the first night my room was right above the glow bar that is in the hotel, I could not sleep until they turned the music off at 1:30 a.m. Make sure your room is not near this bar. It sounded like […] a club in my hotel room. Ask for a room on the Marina side, NOT the city view, they are quieter rooms. The room service is good but the front desk customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Mehr

We booked to stay 4 nights in the Marriott Marina del Rey simply because we had 4 days/nights in the LA area and really only wanted a good base from which to get out and explore. We originally looked at Santa Monica but were put off by astronomical prices and a warning by friends in California that it was way past it's best and that we would be better […] staying off in one of LA's other beach resorts. The hotel was standard Marriott (ie pretty good) and Marina del Rey is part of the Venice Beach area. There are bars and restuarants just outside of the hotel (all very good that we visited) and the bar/club at the Marriott (Glow) is excellent (if a bit pricey). This is an excellent choice if you have a car and just need a base in the area. Note - decide what you are going to do with your car before you get there because you will have to make a choice as soon as you pull up at the main foyer. We opted for valet parking ($26 a day) and while the service was excellent, friendly and professional, for just $8 a day we could have parked in public parking across the road (however this is on the basis that you do not remove your car more than once a day - in which case you will be charged an extra $8 every time you exit). The hotel is three blocks from venice beach and restaurants and shops as well as a short drive to Santa Monica. The hotel is not maintained well beyond the lobby and rooms, it needs a facelift. Gym is nice, food is good, staff is accommodating. Good for the money and the location. I'd stay again - but a higher floor (only 7 floors).

toilet didn't work for a couple days air-conditioning didn't keep up with heat outside. I was hot while getting ready mornings. no ice in ice machine; didn't work on my floor. old glass of wine at bar for $11:00 a glass. Reimbursed me though for it when I asked. Food service nice but food average. t.v. didn't work when I arrived. Bed very comfortab […] le. Mehr

For a hotel of this caliber, cost and reputation to change $12.95 for overnight internet access, and $26.00 for overnight garaging seems ridiculous. Look for Best Western next time.

Beautiful hotel in lovely Marina del Rey. But when you go out the back door of the you are in crazy, fun Venice Beach. Great restaurants and shops. 10 minute walk to beach. It seemed very safe to me. Normally, I stay in my hotel in the evening and rest, but this last week at the Marriott Marina del Rey, I went out every night because it was so easy […] and so much fun. very nice great location

Really nice hotel, only 5-10 min walk from Venice boardwalk. Great buffet breakfast, nice pool area, outdoor relax area Gym and facilities. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Although the rooms do not match the shine of its commanding lobby, the hotel does offer a few perqs. Nice location, spacious though slightly worn rooms and very helpful and courteous staff. One warning: if you want a view with water, do not get an ocean view room get a room facing the marina. The ocean view room faces a parking lot with a small corner […] of Santa Monica in view in the lower left corner of the window. Certainly bot truth in advertising. I will say staff changed my room right away when I complained about this issue. Mehr

I rented 2 rooms one for myself and one for my handicapped parents for ease in seeing the fireworks on a boat in the marina. I called before arrival to ensure the rooms were the suites ordered and that they would be nice as I didn't know how many more 4ths my parents would have. The rooms were on the 2nd floor and had a view of the air conditioning […] unit and roof. The smell in the room was bad. There was a dirty coffee filter in the coffee maker which was located in the closet of all places. I requested information about best ways to get my handicapped parents to the fireworks and was advised by the concierge the main street would be closed and taxis couldn't come or go on the street we needed. She said we "might" be able to use the Marriot car for a ride, but when she checked, she said there was a wedding and she couldn't guarantee us anything. I was left to figure it out and took our rental car, which proved a disaster as we could not get back to the hotel after the fireworks, and had to drive through another city and then backtrack. I called the hotel from my cell and asked for assistance and they said they couldn't advise. This hotel has a pretty lobby, dirty rooms, bad food and a lack of concern for parties not related to weddings (their specialty). They may do weddings fantastic, but you will also pay $28 for parking your car in addition to the overpriced dirty room. Mehr

We were there on July/4. We got there very early in the morning to avoid traffic. They let us to check in so early with no problems. I love the location. Right across from the beach. We watched fireworks with no need of getting into "crazy traffic"...You can buy foods when you're in the pool!!!

The hotel was a very nice place. I would stay there again

This place used the courtyard as a "trendy" nightclub expierence and kept the terrible music playing too loud and too late. It echos through all the rooms on the courtyard side of this place for sure. The harbor side may be quiet but the city side was not...Avoid nights the club is open.
