This place is decent for the money. Secure parking and right next to a supermarket that sells great food all day and night. 2 drawbacks 1/ pretty average breakfast selection And nowhere to sit and eat it 2/ bog average free Internet. Forever cutting out so basically useless - better off driving up to the all night McDonalds and using theirs!!!

Everything with the hotel was great. It just i didn't expect Hollywood to be like that dirty. I guess they only put the clean parts but not the dirty parts on TV.

The location was very convenient and the amenities were okay. My two primary areas of concern were the so-called breakfast offered - actually a couple of sweet rolls and coffee - and the noise from neighbors. The movement of the people staying above us was very amplified and irritating as it began before 7 AM and we are not early risers. Better insulation […] would cut down on the impact of guest below those on the upper floors, but absent that, even a reminder to upstairs folks from management on check-in that their noise carries might be helpful. I didn't really have a problem with the hotel except for the woman that checked us in. She was very rude and got upset when I couldn't hear what she was tryiong to tell me. She also yeald across at another guest for having her large dog out of her room. The little hotel/motel was a dump but the people were great that worked there, especially the front desk girl. Abbelgale is not only nice but she is beautiful too. Yes i would stay there again. It was downtown Hollywood, Ca so the neighborhood was very colorful with people.

i get to my hotel, and i go to check in, and no one is there, so i wait at the window, and i started looking for one of those bells to ring for service, and it takes them a little while to realize that i am there. when they finally show up they dont seem to be very pleased that i am there, and they kind of rudely check me in. i ask them where i should […] park, and they gave me a not very clear answer, but i end up finding it. when i get to my hotel room its very dark, and i find a candy wrapper from the person before me in the drawer. the bathroom itself wasn't TOO bad, but the shower could have been cleaner. it wasn't in a great neighborhood, so i was glad that the parking was gated off, but in order to get out of the parking you have to go through the lobby, because the doorknobs are broken off of the gate. when check out rolled around, they called me as i was packing up reminding me to check out. which could be taken either way, since they were fairly rude about it. The hotel was very dated, but clean. The staff was nice, but breakfast was a joke. There was fresh donuts if you were there early for the first dozen. After that, good luck. Fresh coffey and juice boxes also. Not much else. The location was "good" close driving distance for other stuff, but "bad" as everything was gated and I would not walk outside […] after dark. do not confuse with Rodeway in Sunset. location is good but car is definitely needed. Not to stay in for more than 2 nites. Got late night calls and very early morning calls from staff with unnecessary and personal questions disguised as worried about noises. Breakfast is a fake, old biscuits and pastry.

Stayed in Rodeway Inn for 4 nights. The hotel is ok, there are few stores and restaurants just beside. The rooms are ok, breakfast a little bit disappointing tough.The hotel is a few mins away by taxi from the walk of fame (up to 8USD). There are few bus stops just outside of the hotel which is great. The pool is small but ok too.

The coverlets were filthy (brown streaks of something...) and there were hairs on the towels. The hotel served its purpose since we were going to a concert that night nearby.

this is a perfectly good budget hotel in hollywood. the room was clean, had in-room coffee, fridge and microwave. i had the front desk call a cab for me, and when it didn't show up, they called another without my having to ask.

The room in terms of looks was pleasant. Unfortunately, the tub/shower was a nightmare. At the end of a shower, the tub water was completely full!!!! Clearly the drain was broken or needed to be snaked. Very very unhappy with that. Upon checking out, I informed the front desk and her response was "it shouldn't be working that way". She then took a phone […] call and I was left standing there feeling like I hadn't had ANY customer service whatsoever. I was not offered any discount on my room and just walked away after asking for a phone number to call regarding my stay and also asked for a comment card. I Stayed here as I was in town for 5 days and had friends living nearby. It's not luxury, of course it's not, look at the price. However it is clean, safe, functional and had good Wifi. I had a car and was able to travel around LA from this point and keep the car in the secure car park. It has a large supermarket complex just next door which means you […] can make use of the fridge and microwave in the room - don't rely on breakfast, it's just coffee and muffins. And plenty of fast food places should you wish to develop diabetes. It was my first time in LA and was wary of its 'dangerous' reputation and had read reports of homeless people and prostitutes nearby the hotel. Firstly I'm from London, so am not surprised to find the later in a big city - last time I checked the Savoy hotel had tramps outside. Secondly I didn't find the area particularly threatening, just keep your wits about you like you would in any other City. I walked back from the Sunset/Vine area (20mins away) late at night on a couple of occasions, no concerns. The staff where pretty uncommunicative, but they were much like the Motel, functional. If you want a base for exploring LA and you won't be in the room that much then this is a grand place to be for the price. Mehr

Very convenient location to the Hollywood strip and that's about it. There were holes in the bathroom floor and molding. Travel brochures propped up the mini-fridge. I had to ask for new towels because there were ants in all the towels that were placed on the back of the toilet.

Hotel was close to the Paramount Hotel. We could walk to the appointment and we were allowed to leave our car at the hotel.

one of the cheapest hotels in an expensive area. perfect for our low budget trip. room needed airing out upon arrival, then it was fine. staff was great. cigarette smoking in pool courtyard was a little annoying, and the car entrance to the parking lot is a little scary. because your car has to wait in the middle of busy vine street while the gate opens. […] The staff was attentive but it's an older hotel with character, exactly what i expected when i booked it. The hotel itself is probably about what you would expect for this price range. It is old, in need of an overhaul, but good enough for a bed to sleep in without spending time at the hotel itself. The parking lot is just large enough for the number of rooms there, so if you're the last person to arrive at the hotel on a busy night, you might only have […] one spot to park in and it will be the one with one column on each side and not easy to get into. However, you will still have a spot. The room had a cable box with plenty of channels available but, as I mentioned before, you will not want to spend much time in the hotel. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but it didn't feel unsafe either. We were in town for a concert at the Nokia Live Theater and the location was great for that, less than 10 minutes away. We arrived late and we left early and, for just a bed to sleep in, it was not bad at all. Oh, the free "breakfast" I wouldn't call it a breakfast, just some mediocre coffee and a couple of toasts; but it is enough to hold you until you make it somewhere for a real breakfast. All in all, it was decent enough where, if we need to, we will stay there again. Mehr

The booking of the room was easy via hotels.com, the reviews were fair. The desk perdon never gave any kind of greeting, no smile, nothing. Yet they have promitly displayed an award by the hotel chain indicating they're friendly, distinguished....not reality. She never said much except when shoving the paper at me and indicating the need for the license […] plate #. She was rude when I asked how to activate the gate to acess the parking lot. She never said have a good nite, thanks, do you need any directions, come for the continential breakfast in the morning. I almost asked her if she was feeling well just to entice her to realize how unfriendly she was being. I only stayed for the convience and won't return. I rather spend more $$$ and be treated nicely. The hotel is located in Hollywood but it is not exactly near to any of the major attractions. Also the catering options in the close vicinity are quite limited. There is a big supermarket and a few fast foods just around the corner, but no or few restaurants. The areas looks quite safe. There is plenty of free parking in a closed parking lot. The room […] was spacious and looked clean. I cannot comment on the pool as I did not have time to use it, but it gave the place a pleasant feeling. DO NOT STAY HERE. This has to be the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in - and it was nowhere near cheap. The rooms are unbelievably dirty - if you walk barefoot on the carpet your foot-soles will be black as soot. There was water-damage on the walls, cobwebs on the ceiling, the toilet was dirty and the shower tap was bad. The cooler unit was leaking […] water that made the carpet wet. The parking spots are super small and the whole property has garbage strewn in different parts. Having booked and stayed in several rodeway inns, I hadn't expected this. This hotel was fairly cheap, good location with a grocery store and several restaurants next door. Our room had a weird smell that was not good. Because of this smell I would not recommend to others.

It was ok. was a good location to walk to the walk of fame and Paramount studios. Hotel was quiet. rooms were ok. but surrounding area isnt the best but i didnt feel unsafe when i was walking around by myself.
