was a nice hotel, booked a sweet that was basically connected rooms made into one room. was on the first floor but was little noisy outside as the parking lot and entrance was right outside the window. could hear people talking as they were outside smoking

I enjoyed my stay here. The room i had was nice & comfortable. The hotel staff gave me complimentary wine for signing up for the rewards points program. The bed was SUPER comfortable, the rooms were clean, but small. The phones in the room were not working (a generator issue I was told) and hadn't been for several days so if we needed something, we had to go to the front desk or walk down to the bar for food. Not a big deal, but just kind of annoying when you're in a hotel. There were a TON of children […] utilizing the pool area as well. I'm kind of picky about maintaining a comfortable room temperature and that wasn't as easy as I would have liked. I would stay here again if it wasn't for an extended period of time. Oh! Everything in my room was damp - the air, carpeting, sheets, etc. Although the air conditioner cooled the air, it did not remove the humidity. This merely turned the room into cold and damp. This made it unacceptably uncomfortable to the point that I would not stay there again.

Overall, very satisfied. the only exception would be that the air conditioning unit was not very efficient - had to turn it way down to get a little cool air.

Clean room with a very comfortable bed. HD wide Television, no DVD player. Fridge and microwave comes in handy for left overs. Staff was very friendly and responsive. If you're into fitness, they only have a cardio room with 2 decent tredmills, TV, towels, and that's it. No weights. Water cooler was a nice touch. Did not use the pool because kids were […] in it. Clean, modern, multi-storey hotel. Typical Holiday Inn rooms with comfortable beds. It would benefit from a sitting area in which to read. On site restaurant was disappointing but did privide full meals and bar.

My daughter had a basketball tournament in Belvidere so I looked on Hotels.com for a hotel. After reading the reviews for the Holiday Inn and the Baymont Inn we went with the Holiday Inn. One of the reviews someone complained about the remote for the TV not working, the air conditioning not working and a strange odor in the room, I thought what are […] the chances we would get that room, well guess what we did. The remote didn't work, the air conditioning broke in the morning but it did work itself out after I turned it off for 20 minutes..The worst was how the room smelled. We had two other families with us and their rooms didn't smell like mine. Must be that specific room. Make sure you bring flip flops to walk in the room with, I forgot mine and the floor was weirdly sticky! Mehr

It's a nice hotel to stay with, environment is in safe location & in the center of the city. The only comment I have is the elevator carpet it looks like dirty, they may need to consider replacing it with other type of floor finish to make it look clean.

I had items shipped ahead of me, and the hotel staff was very kind and helpful, in assisting me with additional requests. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Hotel is close to a mall and many other shopping destinations. Will definitely stay here again.

Our room was wonderful and we were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in 2 hours early. The matress and the pillows were very confortable and I would like to know the brand of each as I would like to purchase them. Hotel staff where very friendly. My only complaint is that the trash was not empltied enough during our scrapbooking time and overflowed […] to the floor. Even after a call to houskeeping or maintenance was made the trash was still not removed and the next day it was still present. I actually emptied them myself so we could continue to work. Over all our stay was wonderful. Close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel food was also excellent. Mehr

We really enjoyed our stay, but I was disappointed at how outdated the room was compared to the contemporary lobby. Also, top of the wall wallpaper border is never a good idea. Please get rid of the cottage cheese ceiling and the location of an open grate vent above the shower. We had not stayed at this motel for over 20 years. It was much better than it has ever been in the past. The people workign there were very pleasant and helpful. Everything was clean, neat and orderly and the room was in very good condition. The dark blind did not function properly but overall it was a good nights rest. Overall, the hotel was fine. Excellent for traveling to O'Hare with the bus stopping there. Lots of local restaurants & shopping. Night desk clerk was rude and sarcastic.

All the first impressions were quality and comfort. Most other motel/hotels are single stories so being on 7th floor was expectations of lesser quality. We were not able to stay long so the shower and beds were most important to us. All the lobby and computer, pool, and work out facilities were overlooked. We were on the third and my wife is not able to do stairs. This Holiday inn had elevator problems all weekend which forced us to moved to the first floor into a room that a water smell and a toilet that ran all the time. Not happy ! it will take alot before I go back to this Hotel again.
