Das Hotel ist in der Nähe des Bhfs. Nørreport (direkte Metro zum Flughafen) gelegen, allerdings muss man mit Gepäck noch ca. 10 Min. laufen. Richtung Nørreport gibt es auch einen Platz mit vielen Cafes so wie genug Supermärkte mit langen Öffnungszeiten. Auf der anderen Seite des Wassers liegt Nørrebro, auch mit vielen Cafes usw.. Das Hotel ist durch die Lage in einer Seitenstrasse/Hinterhof sehr ruhig. Die Rezeption war schnell und freundlich. Im Hotel zwei Passagen mit Treppen wo man die Koffer tragen muss (u.a. Eingang). Das Frühstück ist Bio, aber Wochentags nur bis 10 Uhr verfügbar, daher ungetestet. Das Zimmer im 4. Stock war hell und freundlich, das Queensize-Bett mit 1,40m Breite aber etwas schmal. WLAN-Empfang schnell und problemlos. Zu den Kritikpunkten: Im TV gab es nur ein internationales Programm, der Rest war dänisch und schwedisch. Im Bettzeug gab es in kleines Loch, das hätte man sehen können als Roomservice. Grösstes Problem war die Dusche...sehr geringer Wasserdruck und laufend starke Temperaturwechsel, aber das hing vielleicht mit der Lage des Zimmers zusammen. Irritierend war noch der Hinweis auf der MiniBar: "Missbrauch" (also lagern von eigenen Sachen drin) soll 75 DKK kosten. In Rechnung gestellt wurden die jedoch glücklicherweise nicht. Auch noch schade: Man konnte (oder wollte?) für uns nicht im mit dem Hotel assoziierten ital. Restaurant "Rocca" reservieren. Wir haben uns deshalb das Essen über den Room Service bringen lassen.

Ein gutes Hotel, wenn man nicht unbedingt im Zentrum leben muss. Nachteil: die Tageskarte ins Zentrum kostet 55 DKK; Vorteil: wenn man mit dem Hafen-Bus (Schiff) fährt (Haltestelle ca. 5. min gerade aus), kann man einige schöne Design-Bauten sehen. Viel Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet. Im Zimmer kleine unangenehme Mängel, z..B. kaputte Lampe; Bett gut und Bad sauber. Zimmergröße (Standard) OK. Ruhig, obwohl Hotel zwischen Hauptstrasse und Bahnstrecke liegt. Kostenloses Whirlpool im Hotel, daher nasse Menschen im Badeslip auf dem Flur.

Lage

Dank des Vergnügungsparks Tivoli, der im Jahr 1843 gegründet wurde, ist dieses Gebiet heute das belebteste Viertel der Stadt. Der Park ist stolzer Besitzer einer der ältesten noch in Betrieb befindlichen Holzachterbahnen und verfügt zudem über das höchste Karussell der Welt. Das Pantomimentheater stammt aus dem Jahr 1874. Zu den weiteren Attraktionen zählen das Hans Christian Andersen-Schloss, das Glashaus und das Konzerthaus mit zugehöriger Aquarium-Lounge. Im Sommer finden hier Open-Air-Konzerte statt.
Alle Hotels in Kopenhagen ansehenLage ganz okay, direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße, dafür nur ca. sechs Minuten vom Hauptbahnhof & Tivoli entfernt. Sauberkeit war gegeben, Zimmer müffelten aber sehr stark. Alles zusammen hätte man für den Preis etwas mehr erwarten können (allerdings sind die Hotels in KPH generell sehr teuer).

Zu Fußin 5 min im Studenviertel, in 10-15 min an der Einkaufsmeile. Die unmittelbare Umgebung ist nicht so attraktiv (große Straße, Bürogegend). 5 min vom Hauptbahnhof. Einrichtung sauber und bequem ohne Schnick-Schnack. Badezimmer mit Dusche ohne Duschwanne und leider ungenügendem Wasserablauf, bleibende Pfützen. Frühstück angenehm und reichlich. "Mittelklasse"
Das Hotel ist sehr einfach. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, das Personal beim Frühstück vermittelt mehr den Eindruck eines Kontrolleurs als eines Kellers. Es ist im Großen und Ganzen in Ordnung.
"Durchwegs durchschnittliches Hotel"
Vorweg, die Bilder täuschen etwas über den eigentlichen Zustand des Hotels. Die Bilder aus dem Speisebereich dürften auf einer geschlossenen Gesellschaft gemacht worden sein, nicht während des Frühstücks. Die Lage des Hotels ist je nach Anspruch des Aufenthalts gut. Den Tivoli erreicht man in wenigen Minuten. Allerdings auf Kosten von Ruhe. Das Hotel […] ist zentral gelegen und trotz geschlossener Fenster ist der Umgebungslärm präsent, besonders Früh was bei warmen Temperaturen zu einem Interessenskonflikt führen kann. Fenster auf vs. Lautstärke. Essen konnten wir im Hotel selbst nicht (ausgenommen Frühstück). Es empfiehlt sich hier eines der in unmittelbarer Umgebung gelegenen Restaurants aufzusuchen (1-2 Minuten zu Fuss in Richtung des Kinos) Frühstück (Buffet) ist gut und ausreichend, wenn gleich die Auswahl recht begrenzt ist. Unser Zimmer selbst (Lage zur Strasse) war ok zum Übernachten und generell sauber. Das Bad allerdings entsprach nicht unbendingt unseren Erwartungen. Die Sanitäranlagen waren stark abgenutzt und zerkratzt und luden nicht gerade zum Verweilen im Sanitärbereich ein. Des Weiteren befand sich in unserem Bad eine zentrale Dusche mit Vorhang, ohne Bodenbegrenzung. Bodenüberflutung "all inclusive". Das Hotel liegt in den Nähe der S-Bahn, des Hauptbahnhofes und der Fuzo. Alles gut zu fuss zu erreichen. Zimmer zur Rückseite sehr ruhig, ausser es wird gebaut. Frühstück gutes System mit dem Frühstücksgutschein und sehr gute Auswahl. Alle vom Personal sehr freundlich

"Not my favorite place"
I was very disappointed in the fact that the RICHMOND hotel was quite dirty and old. The furniture in the room had to be over 30 years old, uncomfortable and dirty. The bathroom was clean, but the rest of the room felt dirty, perhaps because the furniture was old and ratty. The lobby was very dirty. The outside of the hotel needed some trash pick up […] and gardening. I will admit that the dining area was clean and the food was wonderful & the food service was good. Location was central to most Copenhagen things...walking distance to Central Station. Many other hotels on the block that would have been nicer to stay in, however. Mehr
"not bad for the money"
Well in some ways you get what you pay for...slightly cramped bathroom, no in-room safe, and rather thin walls between rooms. However, you cant beat the location, the helpful friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast buffet at a very reasonable price for Denmark. We have stayed at several hotels in Copenhagen ranging from 3 to 5 stars and this is the […] first time that we have actually had a room where the 2 twin beds placed together to form a double bed didn't migrate during the night. My friends and I had stayed in the hotel for four nights, the hotel gave us comfort everyday. The location is great, near Forum Metro station and central station, the room is clean, the network is fast and the breakfast is the best!!! I already miss the rich delicious breakfast.

This is an overall good hotel with excellent informed helpful front desk service. The breakfast buffet was excellent and served through to 10am. Lots of choice. "Hotell Richmond - good value for money"
This is an inexpensive hotel just 5 minutes walk from the Central Railwaystation. The staff is friendly and the hotel in general ok. Minus for a claustrofobic shower and for the breakfast. Dry bread and too little variation for my liking. The price taken into consideration it is nevertheless a hotel well worth the pay. I will be staying here again.

CLEAN PLEASANT HOTEL, WITH NICE STAFF, THEY RECOGNIZED ME FROM MY PRIOR STAY. NEAR TRAIN STATION AND ALL SITES...CENTRALLY LOCATED. SERVES GOOD DANISH BREAKFAST IN THE MORNING. REASONABLY PRICED. MANY BUSINESS PEOPLE STAY HERE AS WELL AS SCANDINAVIAN TOURISTS, WHICH INDICATES THAT THIS IS A GOOD BUY FOR EUROPEANS.

We reserved a room for the Richmond Hotel, but Hotels.com overbooked the hotel. Richmond is located in the central part of Copenhagen and is about a five to 10 minute walk from the train station. At first we weren't happy about having to go to another hotel because Richmond didn't have space for us, but they paid for our taxi to the other hotel and […] we ended up staying in the very best hotel in all of Copenhagen (Marriott). It was a lovely room, with an extremely comfortable bed, excellent service and one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. Period. Me and my brother in law stayed there as we attended Sensation Copenhagen.. It was a very nice stay for one night with a nice and inviting breakfast buffet. BUT think its not okay to remove the breakfast buffet 20 min. before 11 a.m., when the restaurant..!!! Not that we didn't miss the breakfast, but other hotel guests did, and I think you can't allow […] that, as you pay for breakfast, and it should be available in the time from 7 - 11 as your'e told when you check in..! We stayed 3 nights at the Richmond Hotel. Enjoyed the included breakfast bar every morning. The room was comfortable and good for sleeping. The hotel is only minutes away from Raadhuspladsen and thus close to many attractions. Walking distance to the Main Railway Station and even closer to the local commuter train "S-Tog". My advice is to ask for a room away from the main street--there is no air-conditioning in this hotel and if you need to open the window, the rooms over the street are very noisy.

"Good one night stay"
I chose to stay at Richmond Hotel for one night before a flight out of Copenhagen. I had to wait a little while in the lobby because I got there way before check-in time, but the atmosphere was nice and the free WiFi worked great. I did end up checking in about an hour early, which was nice! The room was a good size for just me, but it could have easily […] been split by two. The WiFi was a little off-and-on in the room, but nothing unmanageable. It was quite noisy outside my window though, but I was on the main street side of the building (but better views!) I wanted to keep fresh air in the room so I just kept the window opened and dealt with the city sounds of the trains, cars, and nightlife. But it's right in the heart of the city! So I didn't expect complete peace and quiet. I would definitely recommend this for a short or long stay with one or two people! Mehr

The Richmond is located just off the main centre of Copenhagen, close to the Tivoli Gardens which are about 15 mins walk. It feels safe at night to walk around there. Pros: Friendly and helpfull staff. Good breakfast buffet. Location is close to a variety of sites and attractions. Cons: No AC in the room. It was so hot in the room we had to open the window and try to sleep to the sound of the traffic outside. The beds were uncomfortable and the linen/covers were uncomfortable. The TV didn't work. The first room they […] gave us hadn't been cleaned and we had to switch rooms. Overall: Copenhagen is expensive, but we paid $200 a night for our room and I don't think we got our money's worth, not by a long shot. PS: Don't go to Tivoli Gardens unless you have young kids. Within walking distance of most sights we wanted to see. TIVOLI and Stroget, the car free shopping zone, are about 5 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast each morning was one of the best we've encountered. The price for the room was quite reasonable. A great place to stay waiting for our cruise ship.

It was unusually warm when we were in Copenhagen, so that does effect this rating. The room was warm and stuffy with only a small fan to get the air moving. The breakfast available in the dining room, only open foy breakfast, was pretty good. Many places to eat within a few blocks, lots of attractions in the area and Tivoli only a few blocks away. Hotel room was adequate. Somewhere between a Motel 6 and a Super 8. I don't think Americans, even poor ones, have any idea how good they have it here in America.

The hotel is in an excellent location to access the train station, hire cars and not too far to wander into the heart of town. The bar consists of a couple of bottles of spirits behind reception that are only available after 4pm so either pick a drink up on route to the hotel (Netto's at the corner of the street) or have a drink at a local bar. The […] room was clean and tidy, the bathroom is compact and do make sure nothing is left on the bathroom floor when showering as it will get washed away to the drain. The reception staff were very helpful and can speak at least 5 languages (English was excellent). Breakfast wasn't included in our stay but we did buy one mornings worth, it was stocked with full continental from dainish pastries to yogurt and had a selection of hot food also.
