Schaut man sich die Fotos des Hotels aus der Website an, so wird man gnadenlos enttäuscht vor Ort. Das Hotel ist schäbig und total runtergekommen. Die Zimmer sind schmutzig (Haare im Bett und Bad) und man fühlt sich sehr unwohl. Nie wieder!

Hotel was perfect! Close to everything that you would want to see in Brisbane. Very friendly and professional staff. Also very hard working, not something you see everyday. Very satisfied with our stay.

Enjoyed staying at the Marque in Brisbane - have now stayed there twice. The only annoyance is the same for other hotels in the Marque chain as well - lack of a 24 hour free wifi, and lack of a safe in the room. 3 hours of wifi is quite annoying really - luckily there are cafes with wifi within easy walking distance of the hotel (might as well get a […] coffee and cake while surfing the web since you're forced to pay a similar amount anyway!) This hotel is in a perfect location. Just a couple of minutes walk from the Victoria Bridge. There are also lots of amazing restaurants, bars, and shopping opportunities in the area. The hotel also offers a parking garage which makes life a lot easier. All in all a great experience. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. This hotel is in a superb location, within walking distance to just about everything. We were very pleased with the room, but did have one little hiccup. We awoke to the sound of water dripping. When we turned on the light, water was pouring out of the a/c condenser in the ceiling. It took several bath size towels to mop up the water.. It was 6 am or […] we would have called the front desk. We turned off the a/c and went back to bed. When we checked out, the front desk clerk did not seem like this was out of the ordinary or even apologize for the inconvenience. It would have been nice if they made some compensation - even just waiving the parking fee. I would probably stay here again if I got a good rate and would recommend it. Mehr

Very nice hotel in the heart of Brosbane. Had a wonderful stay there.

Mine was a pleasantly surprising stay in a slightly less frequented side of the CBD, quiet and peaceful at the level of my room, although the lobby bar was very popular and the restaurant appeared to be very busy. Old style comfort at an affordable rate.

The hotel is in a great position - handy to the city, Southbank and the Casino. It is small but generally well appointed and good value. Our one disappointment was that when we arrived at 8pm on the day of our arrival the lifts were out of service and our room was on the 12th floor. There was no offer from the staff to carry our bags up the stairs so […] of course we had to do it ourselves. A long and exhausting walk on a hot humid night. Good location. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Room wasn't that special, pretty standard. The chairs in the room where a bit worn out, they could get new chairs. Otherwise ok. Bathroom was nice and clean, seemed renovated. Not that bad, not that special. Was quite cheap. Just a few minutes walk away from the middle of the city.

Great location within walking distance to tons of shopping for souvenirs etc. I highly recommend the 24 hour pancake place 1/2 block away for breakfast which was much better and cheaper than the hotel's. Room was clean and updated but lacked comfort due to the noisy jack hammering outside that started every night around 8pm and continued for hours which […] made falling asleep near impossible. Mehr

Very over priced for room type

I had a great stay at the Marque Hotel in Brisbane. The view from my room was fantastic. The bed was soft and the staff was friendly. But the music in the restaurant in the evening was so loud and it was House music, which was not appropriate.

Excellent location in the centre of Brisbane overlooking river. Room a decent size and facilities are fine. The furniture in the room a little dated and the pool is small.

Central in Brisbane, perfect for a weekend city stay

Great location! I worked in the city many years ago so was great to be able to wander down Queen Street at our leisure. Service was great, location was fantastic and rooms were very comfortable. The only problem I could find was the parking, as you had to rely on the staff to let you in. I would recommend The Marque to anyone!!!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay in The Marque, and it was a good base for our trip. The room was a little on the compact side, but the bed was comfy and the room temperature spot on. Our "view" looked directly into offices, so that may impact on mid-week stays, but the room was quiet (no traffic noise) and the location was perfect for shopping in the Queen Street […] mall, walking in the Botanic Gardens or hitting up the Casino. The staff were friendly and fixed blown globes in our room straight away. The only negative comment I would have would be having to pay extra for parking our car in the hotel's car park. I would recommend a stay here to other people looking for a good-quality, resonably priced hotel in Brisbane's heart. Mehr

We picked this hotel for its location - around the corner from the Hertz return garage - and because it had its own garage ($20 a night). Very pleased to find that our room had a queen (for us) and a single (for our son) and both were very comfortable. The room (809) looked like it had been recently refurbished, particularly the bathroom which looked […] sparkling. We looked over the rear courtyard which had the pool (saltwater) and jacuzzi (not available - but we didn't care). The (smallish) bar/restaurant area in reception served a very tasty tapas selection at (for Australia) reasonable prices, and they even had a happy hour for drinks! Well located for exploring the city on foot. We walked to the Botanic gardens, then on around the riverside mangrove boardwalk, across the footbridge, along the other riverbank and back across the next bridge to the hotel. This is not a tourist city like Sydney, but it has a very relaxed feel to it. Ate at the Bavarian Bier Cafe on Eagle Street Pier - outrageously priced beer, but the food is excellent. Mehr

The Marque is a poster example of a mid-range hotel. There is a minibar as well as a restaurant. The beds are comfortable with a mix of fluffy and firm pillows. My room had a particularly lovely view of Southbank, though I'm sure that varies. Service is excellent, room service is available, and the hotel is conveniently located in the CBD about equidistant […] to two walkable bridges across the river. It also is not far to the launching point for the Kookaburra Queen riverboat. As with all Australian hotels, the in-room coffee is instant. The only significant downside that I encountered here was the Internet access, which with one exceptional hour early on Tuesday morning was oppressively slow to the point that it often could not log in. A perfect location and the rooms were modern and spacious. The bar and reception area was nice and good for a drink before heading out. The only thing letting it down was the corridors and lifts which were a little dated. Overall a great practical hotel for a stay in central Brisbane.

My partner and I were quite satisfied with our stay The Marque Hotel. We had a very nice room and the staff were very pleasant and easy going.

We enjoyed our stay. Great location, we had a nice view from the room and the room itself was good sized and clean. It was great to have free local calls and wifi- most other hotels don't. Only one small problem during stay...the remote for TV did not work and took numerous requests and 2 days to fix. Other than that, hotel staff was professional and […] nice. I never seen such bad hotel! Do not believe the picture!totally different! Not better than a motel! Windows cannot open,TV is dim,no one send your luggage to your room.the mattress is very very uncomfortable, not balance!! There's a very old radio in front of the bed and the time is wrong!! Very funny thing is that, when you want to open the gate of […] carpark, you have to get off your car, come to reception, and let them open! Stayed here on our honeymoon, service was good hotel was great and in a great location 5-10minute tops to the high street. Would stay here again

We stayed at the Marque for one night only. We booked via an online agent and got a very good price for our room which included breakfast. Reception staff were very efficient and had my check in organized within a couple of minutes, parking was an extra $20. The car spaces and the entrance are a little on the small side but there was no shortage of […] spaces during our stay. Upon arriving we were offered an upgrade to an executive room (905). This room was spacious and had a great view over the river to Southbank. Being on the 9th floor the view was uninterrupted and the lights at night were great to see. The room was very good, well set up with a king size bed, 2 arm chairs, coffee table, bedside tables and lamps, desk, I pod docking station, large flat screen TV, wardrobe and a roomy bench with fridge under and a well stocked mini bar and a good selection of tea and coffee. The bathroom is not large but is all newly renovated with fresh white tiles, great water pressure, good quality towels, hair dryer and an adequate selection of toiletries. The bed was comfortable and also had good quality linen. There is adequate lighting in the room and overall the quality is very good and more than you would expect for a hotel in this price range. I have stayed at numerous other hotels which are 4 +stars in Brisbane and the hotel room we had at The Marque equals the quality of many of them. There is certainly no need to pay more if you want a hotel in a great location. The hotel is so close to Queen street Mall (about a 3 minute walk), and walking distance to Southbank and all the attractions such as museum and art gallery. There is a bus station at Queen street Mall or you could easily walk to Central Station if you wanted. The hotel also has a pool and spa and small gym room all located on the third floor. The pool was not heated and the spa was not operating during our stay but during summer this would be a good spot to sit and relax as there are tables, chairs and sun lounge Mehr

What I liked most about this hotel was its location to everything we needed. ie Shops and transport. The room was very comfortable, it was nice to come back to the room and find the bed tidy and bath room clean. this was a wonderful stay.

This is more of a boutique hotel. There is no fuss in checking in or checking out. The location is excellent as a base to visit Brisbane for business or sight-see, close to transport transit center, the mall at Queen Street, the casino and the historical buildings.

After driving 12 hours from sydney i was greeted with a stern faced receptionist who was not helpful and rude. After our initial meet i was pounced on and scared to death in the basement carpark where i was attempting to have a cigarette. i was not told there was a smoking area on the 3rd floor whilst the man was telling me off and policing myself. […] I was left feeling scared, shocked and humiliated as he told me to go out the front of the hotel and smoke. This employee should not be working and representing this hotel as i will never return and also the room we were in had a serious airconditioning malfunction with mould on the ceiling and big wet patch on the carpet from the leek. a damp stay to say the least. Not a memorable comfortable or friendly stay. Mehr

The hotel is clean, very friendly, close to anything you want to do in Brisbane! Would definately recommend.

Apart from the person behind the reception desk who tried to tell me that I had no reservation, despite me having spelt out my name to him (I know how to spell my own name so he was the one at fault!), this hotel was fine. When I checked into this hotel I was pleasantly surprised, the front desk service was very pleasant, and staff assisted me with maps of the CBD. Upon entering my room I was very happy, the room was very clean, and although this hotel is a refurbished one, you would not realise that it is an older building from the quality of the renovation and the fixtures […] and fittings. It is average hotel but its location is very good. Its lobby need to be extended.

I was traveling from Sydney, headed up north towards Cairnes (which was way further then I expected) and realized we needed to bunk down for the night. I pulled out my iPhone and went on hotels.com to look for a place to stay in Brisbane. I came across the Marque, which had good reviews, and the price was within my range. So I booked it. When we arrived […] we pulled into the parking garage next door and went to the hotel to check in. There was a small issue with my reservation, since I had booked it online only a few hours before. After the issue was fixed (10 minutes) we got our room keys. I asked if they had on-site parking, and they said they did, for a $20 fee. Which wasn't bad considering the garage next door wanted $58/day. So we moved our car from the garage to the hotels parking. What sucked it for the 30 minutes we were in the garage next door, our cost was $17! Oh well, lesson learned. Just make sure to pull in towards the hotels garage and check in. The only gripe I have, was the hotels garage. It was built for small cars. We had a full size Ford Falcon, and it was a tight squeeze. The garage was tiny, but we managed to get in without any damage to our car (even though we were stressed). It was also secure, and easy to access from inside the hotel. When we got to the room, we were surprised to find a queen and a single bed (we booked a room for 2 singles) and we had a great view of the river. It was clean, had a mini fridge and was well maintained. The A/C didn't work too well, but we didn't plan on staying in the room long. We wound up staying an extra night, and had to pay an additional $10 bucks over what we paid on hotels.com. It was worth it for the location of the hotel, and the nice room. If I go back to Brisbane, I will definitely stay here. Mehr

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was reasonably priced and the selection was good. No other meals were bought. The only dissappointment was that the shower was not as clean as it could have been.

While the hotel was ok, the service was not. Both my husband and I went down to use the internet in the lobby that was free only to find the computers not working. After asking several times if someone could help us we were ignored, told they were working and didn't understand how to use a computer, and then just left there. We waited separately for […] about an hour each. One guy even left saying he was out and going to meet up with a friend. We had reserved a king executive suite and given a smaller room but after waiting for awhile to check in we didn't say much as we just wanted to shower after our long travel day and put our little one down for a nap. It did make us mad because we had paid more for the executive suite. Overall we would try somewhere else based on service. The room was pretty clean and actually pretty big. The only bad part of the room was there was hairs on the ceiling in the bathroom like it hadn't been cleaned and we didn't get enough towels. Mehr
