Die Lagerung ist ja zentral, aber zwar zimlich weit von Harbor, also 20-30 min zu Fuss. Rezeption ist sehr hilfreich, die hatten mir ein Zimmer um 11 gegeben, obwohl chek in time erst ab 14 Uhr war!

die centrale lage (direkt an einer kreuzung)bringt auch sehr viel lärm mit sich, da die fenster nicht gut abgedichtet sind. Preis-leistung eher schlecht. Mit 4 sternen zu hoch bewertet.

Grosse Kreuzung vor dem Hotel mit sehr sehr viel Verkehr auch nachts. Ansonsten schönes Hotel mit zentraler Lage.

Great value for money

Enjoyed our stay at the Marque Sydney. Good location with most tourist destinations within walking distance - and better yet, with the free route 555 bus service taking you all the way to the harbour bridge / opera house. Getting from or to the airport is easiest/cheapest using the central train station across the street from the hotel (depending on […] numbe of people travelling - taxi was roughly $50 whereas train was $15 per person). Stayed here 4 nights over Easter. The hotel is in a great location across the road from Central station. It has the potential to be a really good hotel if only they kept up with the maintance. Staff at this hotel were also very good to deal with.

Staff was really nice and helpful. They were able to check us in earlier than expected. They were fast in assisting with some issues that came up regarding the room. They were also very accommodating when our departure got delayed. Room for improvement was the rooftop pool area, most of the sun loungers were damaged and could not be used.

Given the area and lower price I was expecting a fairly average room. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well appointed, clean and very comfortable room. I would definitely be happy to stay here again.

Older hotel that has been renovated recently (my stay was in 2012). The only downside was traffic noise - I've stayed in other hotels in the area and they seem to have better glazing to reduce traffic noise. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

Stayed for 12 nights in Fed 2012 - Staff very pleasant & helpful, 3 hours free internet access, comfortable beds - close to Chinatown, Paddy Market & Central station. I asked for a quiet room at the back as advised by another reviewer and it was a good idea as George street is very busy. Overall I was very pleased.

Very friendly and well presented hotel. Given the strength of the Aussie dollar the price was good value. Nice comfortable room, location good for Central Station, Paddy's Market and China Town. Being at the top of Pitt St it is a fair way from Circular Key, Darling Harbour and the Rocks however there is a free bus service which compensates.

the hotel was great it was handy to the entertainment centre and all amenities we could park the car and walk everywhere would recommend this hotel and would stay there again in the near future.

Experienced a very enjoyable stay at this hotel recently. Aside from it's excellent location, the staff were very helpful and efficient, a room that was clean, tidy and a good size. All in all this is a good hotel that is reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning!

It was a wonderful experience to use the Marque Sydney with clean room, convenient place, great service, and moderate price. Will use it for next time. Some comments: 1. Internet service is not convenient. A new password is required per 3 hours. 2. Room is clean. Elevator and corridor are not.

This hotel was great to stay in. We didn't know what to expect when we booked the place, but we were super glad we did. First of all, the location is great! It's right next to central station and there are a bunch of buses that pick up in front of it which can take you just about anywhere. It's also located right on the outskirts of Chinatown (food […] is GREAT and cheap!). Also, the building has a rooftop terrace with a sauna and pool (also a great view). The staff was super friendly and helpful when asked about the airport shuttle and internet questions. The only knock I have was that the wired internet (you get 3 free hours a day) in my room stopped working a few days into the stay. Reception offered to have technical support call my room, but I decided not to (they have wifi in the lobby). Reception also surprised my wife and I with champagne and chocolates on our first day (because we had mentioned that it was our honeymoon when booking the room) which was unexpected and very nice! Lastly, the cleaning service was great. On Sundays, they do a reduced service (where they don't typically change linens), but we spilled coffee on the bed and they still replaced them no problem! All in all, I would definitely recommend staying at the Marque. We were happy with both the location and cleanliness. Its right near Central station which is handy as its the station that the airport train arrives at. And plenty of eateries nearby and buses to the CBD are only a 5 min trip. Walking distance to Paddys Markets. All very convenient. All good. We would stay there again.

Room was very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool was unavailable for 2 days. Hotel did not provide any compensation for this inconvenience. We had chosen this hotel because of its location and the pool.

Very well located hotel for sightseeing and room much quieter then we expected. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. We booked we thought a smoking room but were advised on arrival that did not provide these. However, they did upgrade us at no extra cost to a patio room so we could smoke outside on the patio. The room was very clean, lovely bathroom […] with soft towels and a very comfortable king size bed. We didn't want to leave! Would recommend to anyone although rooms located on George Street may be less quiet but you would expect this in a city centre hotel. All and all a very good experience and one we hope to repeat. I spent 5 days at The Marque Sydney and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in a central location, it was my first time in Sydney and was happy to be in a location that i can walk every where to. After reading the reviews i was scared to stay here but don't be worried, it's a nice hotel. Rooms are clean and comfy to sleep in. WE HAD STAYED IN THIS HOTEL 7 YEARS AGO WHILE IN SYDNEY. IT WAS A PERFECT LOCATION FOR US THEN, AND STILL IS. THE HOTEL HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REMODELED & REALLY UPGRADED NICELY. IT'S LOCATION TO THE TRAINS, BUS SERVICE, AND PROXIMITY TO CIRCULAR QUAY MAKE FOR A TOO EASY WAY TO SEE NOT JUST SYDNEY, BUT A WHOLE LOT OF SURROUNDING AUSTRALIA. Good clean hotel next to Central Rail Station. A short walk to shops, restaurants and bars. Did not use the bar and restaurant in Hotel so can not review. The area around Central Station attracts beggars and people sleeping rough but that would not deter us from using this hotel again.

This is my second stay at this Hotel. I find the location near Central station very convenient. 3 of us shared a room this time and we found this worked well. The rooms are modern and staff at the front desk very friendly and helpful. We were on the 11th floor and still the noise from the street below can be quite loud at times. Great room , great staff, great location, across street from Central Train Station, & very good price, however to minimize street noise suggest room high up facing Quay Street.

We found the location great as arrival from the airport was easy by Train, with luggage it was only a short walk to arrive at the Marque. Getting to the city was easy again by only walking to the CBD. The beds being comfortable, everything clean the breakfasts being tasty and plenty of breakfast for the mornings walking around Sydney. I was very satisfied with my stay. The location was very convenient and the room was comfortable and clean. The only place for improvement was the shower. It was powerful and modern however the lack of a shower door made the bathroom floor easily flooded.

Great Hotel, very close to Central Station, the Markets and Chinatown. The room was very clean and fresh and ideal for the two of us. Only there for one night but perfect for what we needed to do in Sydney. Only drawback is the traffic noise from George street

A well run and maintained hotel with friendly efficient staff. Great location close to station etc. Excellent value for money.

This hotel is in a good location for transport. It was quite noisy but discovered that one of the double glass windows was open and could not be closed because the track was full of debris.

The Marque Sydney is in a great location. It's just a couple of blocks from Central Rail station. It's at the edge of Chinatown, and in the Southern CBD. It's about a 20 minute walk from Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and Circular Quay. It's only about 15 minutes from Darling Harbour. If you choose not to walk, it's only a couple of minutes from the […] free green bus (#555) that departs Central Station. We arrived early, around 9am, and the staff was extremely accommodating. I had booked a king room, as that was all that was available with the cheapest booking, but Todd switched me to a twin-bedded room. He also found one that was already clean and allowed us to check in immediately. Our room came with free local landline calls, as well as 3 free hours of internet per day. The room was clean and neat. The only reason it received a 4-star rating instead of 5 on cleanliness was the fact that on Sundays they have limited housekeeping and the room is not cleaned, per se, just towels replaced. The shower was great, with the shower head installed in the ceiling--great for tall people. However, it's rather common to have only half a door on the shower, which took some getting used to. The only negative in the whole room was the entrance to the bathroom. It's higher than the bedroom...and so I stubbed my toe on more than one occasion during the night. Mehr

choose your room not facing George St and will be comfortable otherwise no good sleep during night as too much heavy traffic noise coming from George St. Perfer location easy to access to Chinatown and Darling Hr, central station and all others where you want to visit bu train or bus.

Hotel staff was as friendly and helpful, as advertised--a real relief after a 15-hour flight! Todd especially could not do enough for us. The room was small but comfortable. I initially worried about sound from the adjoining room, which came through an adjoining door. But night was quiet and no problem. The Marque Hotel is in an excellent location - within minutes' walk to Chinatown (therefore food at almost all hours), Darling Harbour and Central Train Station and close enough to the city without being among the noise and crowd. If you don't mind a 20-25 minute walk then you can head into Pitt Street mall or local day-to-day shops at Broadway Shopping […] Centre on foot.
