Das Hotel habe ich nach den vorhergehenden Bewertungen gebucht und kann mich den positiven Bewertungen anschließen. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Neben der allgemeinen Abwicklung bekam ich von den Mitarbeitern auch viele Tips bzgl. Sehenswürdigkeiten. Frühstück ist (für amerikanische Verhältnisse) in Ordnung. Es gibt Internet für Lau, einen riesigen Raum mit Vorzimmer, Arbeitstisch und einen riesigen Flachbildschirm. Den Saunabereich habe ich leider nicht besucht, kann dazu also keine Angaben machen. Alles in allem finde ich das Hotel seinen Preis mehr als gerecht und fair. Ich würde es bei meinem nächsten Besuch wieder buchen und kann es uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.

"Clean"
The Hotel in Anderson S.C. was new looking and clean. Breakfast was good and plenty to eat. Would stay there again.

Requested non smoking rooms, got smoking. No other rooms were available at check in. Rooms were clean, but smelled terrible.

"Beer Drinking at the Front Door"
When I arrived I was unable to pull under the port-a-co because about 12 people were gathered there. As I walked to the front door, I realized most of them were drinking what appeared to be beer. It was about 5:00pm. I have stayed at many hotels in Anderson, and I have never seen anything like this, so this may have been an isolated case. When I walked […] into the lobby there was a dry erase board with about 20 names written on it, including mine! The front desk clerk was extremely nice. The room was great and the breakfast was awesome. When I left for dinner there was still a large group under the front port-a-co drinking, however when I returned from dinner about 9 - 10:00, they were gone. The next morning when I left just before 11:00pm there were 2 young men out drinking again. No one approached me or spoke to me, but I often travel alone, and this made me feel a bit uncomfortable and my name on the dry erase board for everyone to see made me feel a bit insecure. I would only stay at this hotel again if nothing else were available in Anderson. Mehr

I booked this appointment with this particular hotel because I have never had a bad visit with them unfortunately that is no longer the case. I spent the little bit extra to get a whirlpool tub for me and to have a smoking room for my husband. At 10pm when we finally settled in for the evening my husband turned on the A/C to cool the room down but when […] he did it sounded like a lawn mower running in the room. We left it running for a short time to see if it would settle down but soon chose to turn it off so that we did not cause any damage to the unit. Frustrated by this development I went to get a hot whirlpool bath. It took 20 minutes to fill the tub due to slow water flow and then to top off the evening I get all settled into the tub and press the button to start the jets and . . . nothing ;-(. I tried pressing and holding the button and again nothing. I just gave up and decided that it just wasn't meant to be. I did not say anthing to the front desk at the time since it was so late that moving would have been a hassle for everyone concerned. I don't like to be a problem so I generally don't complain. I understand that these rooms are based on discounted rates but when you specifically choose a hotel based on excellent previous visits it is very disappointing not to recieve what you asked for (i.e. working A/C and whirlpool). I won't recommend this hotel to anyone at this time but I feel sure that they will improve with time. Mehr

"Good place"
Hotel is pretty far out of Anderson but convenient to the interstate.
"Smelly room"
I usually like Holiday Inn Express for family travel. They're simple and convenient, and the cinnamon rolls are great. But this one disappointed. The room smelled bad, like it had not had fresh air in a long time. The window wouldn't open, and the bathroom had no fan and got very humid. The mattress was worn out and gave me a back ache.
As owner and manager of the Holiday Inn Express I want to extend a sincere apology. During your visit, the hotel was undergoing major renovations. Unfortunately on the day of the visit, there was a water issue with the down spout. This caused dampness to occur in the room. Please be assured that all renovations have been completed and the water issue has been completely resolved. I would very much appreciate a second chance to prove to our guest that the Holiday Inn Express does provide the type of facility he has come to know with the Holiday Inn organization.

We stayed at this hotel for a clemson game and it wasn't bad, it had contained rooms inside and was convienant to the stadium! We got a drink and snack welcome bag, & there was a store directly in front along with 3 resturants! Would stay here again!
"Location"
It was farther away from Clemson than advertised. It took 1/2 hour to get there.
The Holiday Inn Express does not state driving time to Clemson. This can vary based on traffic, weather, road repairs, etc. The Holiday Inn Express does state that Clemson is 14 miles from the hotel. The travel time could take from 20 to 30 minutes with normal traffic conditions.
