Das Hotel ist in New Carrollton (Maryland ). Die Umgebung besteht aus Supermärkten und Schnellrestaurants.Das Hotel hat einen eigenen Shuttelservice zur Metro .Die Hinfahrt nach Fahrplan ,die Rückfahrt nach ansage.Das Frühstück ist wie überall in Amerika nicht sehr reichhaltig ,aber man wird satt. So das übliche Essen.Kaffee Tee Toast MIlch Cornflex Rührei Butter Marmelade .Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr geräumig

Hotelzimmer sing großzügig mit eingebauter Kitchenette - alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt - das Frühstückbüffet (complimentray) ist reichhaltig und sehr gut - die Hotelpersonal ist hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend - das Hotelshuttle kann für Transfers zu nahegelegenen Zielen kostenlos genutzt werden - nächstgelegene Metro-Station: Vienna (orange) kann mit Taxi erreicht werden - wenn mit Auto unterwegs, ist Lage / Pries-Leistungsverhältnis des Hotels sehr gut.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Jeffersson Highway, sehr einfach zu finden, wenn man mit dem Mietwagen unterwegs ist. Der Service am CheckIn/Checkout ist nicht gerade umwerfend oder freundlich. Die Mitarbeiter waren genervt und recht ungeduldig. Das Doppel-Zimmer war ein Städte-Trip-Traum: groß, sehr sauber, das Sleep-Number-Bett (man kann den Härtegrad der Matratze individuell einstellen) in Kingsize war sehr bequem - gute Schlaf garantiert! in ca. 3 min ist man an der Metro-Station "Crystal City" (unter dem Marriott Hotel). Die Station hat eine Einkaufspassage. Das Ticketsystem der Metro ist leider etwas kompliziert - am besten vorher mal online reinschauen! Die Fahrt in die City zum weißen Haus und dem Memorial Park dauert ca. 20 min. Für einen Städtetrip in die City ist das Hotel absolut empfehlenswert!

In der Innenstadt von Washington finden sich Kulturstätten an jeder Ecke. Der Museumskomplex der Smithsonian Institution flankiert die National Mall. Das Washington Monument teilt die National Mall südlich des Weißen Hauses in zwei Teile. In den Hauptsitzen der Bundesbehörden arbeiten Bürokraten aller Couleur. Machtvolle, mit Geld gesegnete Lobbyisten helfen in der K Street bei der Schaffung (und Verwerfung) von Gesetzen. Chinatown und das Washington Convention Center liegen östlich der Innenstadt.

Ein grosses Hotel, welches Tagungsräume etc. enthält. Mehrere optisch sehr schöne Bars (getestet haben wir diese allerdings nicht) Sauberkeit top und auch sonst keinerlei Negativpunkte. Zu Fuss ist das "weisse Haus" ca. 15min entfernt, optimal für Sightseeing :-) wir empfehlen dieses Hotel gerne weiter! Frühstück haben wir nicht getestet
"Gerne wieder"
Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen, die Mall ist problemlos per Fuss erreichbar, ebenso die Einkaufstrassen. Die Zimmer sind in sehr gutem Zustand und es fehlt natürlich an nicht's. Sehr gute Betten und auch sehr ruhig. Die Mitarbeiter in allen Bereichen sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Also gerne wieder.
"Top für Stadtbesichtigung"
Das Hotel liegt nahe dem Stadtkern mit allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Man kann bequem zu Fuß zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Capitol, Washinton Monument etc. laufen. Der Service war sehr gut. Die Zimmer waren sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Nur das Parken ist sehr teuer. Wir mussten pro Tag 28 Dollar zahlen, das ist schon etwas sehr viel.
"Very convenient to convention center"
Friendly, competent staff, beautiful public spaces, great location if you're attending a conference at the Washington Convention Center. Room was a bit dated, had no safe or fridge, merely adequate bathroom.

"Fabulous lobby"
Reasonably priced. great location if you have downtown activities, close to verizon center and the convention center. The health club is also a big plus as well as the starbucks off the lobby. Would definitely return
"Wonderful location at a very good rate"
We enjoyed staying in this hotel mainly bacause we could walk everywhere (with a 8 year old child). The hotel is very nice and we could get a good rate including the buffet breakfast that was simply wonderful. The staff was always very helpful and courteous.

We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. This hotel could not have been more convenient and decently priced. We would stay here again.

The hotel was great and the staff were very friendly. The surrounding area had a lot of construction going on, but we could still get to most sight seeing spots by walking.

The staff was friendly and always looking to serve our needs. The breakfast buffet was worth the cost and dinner was great. From the hotel it was an easy walk to monuments and museums

"Great New Year's Weekend Stay"
I had a great stay at this hotel. Although the room with double beds is kinda small, it adequately and comfortably accomodated 4 adults. The bed was comfortable and the Euro style pillow was awesome (where can I buy it?). The hotel is in a great location and near Chinatown in the District of Columbia. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and DC attractions […] within walking distance, not to mention the DC convention center across the street. The front desk staff were courteous and very responsive to my requests for dining utensils, a wine bottle opener, etc. The restaurant which serves breakfast and lunch had delicious food and I was able to get a table on New Year's Day with 4 people with no problem or wait. This hotel was a great choice for my stay in DC. It was near our Tour Bus routes and made it very easy to get where we needed to see the sites of Washington DC.

The location and their parking service are very convenient. You can use self-parking space by next 5pm while you can walk around the National Mall or China Town.

Our family of 5 stayed in this hotel during a quick visit to DC. The hotel is beautiful, rooms immaculate, beds very comfy, hotel staff very helpful and friendly, location is great. The breakfast was great too -- to bad it was only for two! We loved our stay and recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our family stayed at this hotel in late December 2011 and found excellent service, a delicious breakfast , an upgraded room, in a perfect location. I was a bit nervous because of some of the reviews I had read online but our family's experience with two teenagers exceeded our expectations.

"an amazing bargain for me and two grandsons"
I booked this room thru hotel.com and got an unbelievable rate including breakfast, which would have cost $66 for three of us. I would love to stay here again for the convenience of its location especially--But unless I find this price, it's out of my range!
"A 1 Night Stay in Washington DC"
This hotel is in one of the most convenient locations for touring - you can walk to all the major sights. In addition, it was clean, the personnel were polite and efficient and very helpful - even offering to walk me to the parking garage. "Don't let the lobby fool you"
Hotel has done a fabulous job renovating the lobby - it's beautiful. The guest room floors, however, have not been updated and resemble more of a nice Hampton Inn setting (hard to justify the $$). Guest room doors are of the metal exterior variety that (besides plenty dented) are heavy and, therefore, extremely loud when closed. Sounds like everyone […] is slamming their doors - which the thin walls resonate quite clearly. Heard the guy next door sneeze . . . Would not recommend for a peaceful rest. Mehr

I booked this hotel for events taking place in the National Mall, it is further from the mall than the representative told me, however, I was able to walk to all of the attractions (about 30 minutes brisk walking to monuments). The hotel itself is beautiful with a couple of dining and lounge options. The bed was very comfortable and room sufficient […] in size for my needs. Parking is expensive, but expected for a downtown location. I had breakfast in the restaurant, the service was slow and our waiter wasn't the most friendly, but the breakfast options were good. The hotel itself is within walking distance to much of the nightlife options, restaurants, China town, clubs and other night spots. I felt safe walking that evening as there were police patrols visible throughout downtown. I would consider staying here on another visit to DC. Mehr
The Sunday morning that we were there, they seemed to be having trouble in the Dining Room. We couldn't find our server, there were long delays in getting our order taken & getting coffee/tea. Food was good & staff were responsive once we asked for help.

"Good stay, nothing to rave about"
If I would have paid more than the Hotels.com rate I would have probably been disappointed, but thank goodness we got a good rate. It's a nice hotel and the lobby looks amazing, but beyond that there is not much to brag about. The rooms are decent. There was duct tape keeping the carpet intact on the 5th floor to greet you when you exit the elevators. […] The gym was nice and big, but the spa was booked the entire weekend. Good view of the convention center and the area around it seems sketchy between 2:30 am and 9 am, but it's a great area during the day and in the evening- China Town. Mehr

"Rennaisance DC, Downtown"
The service throughout the hotel was outstanding - every single person I encountered on the staff was wonderful. The hotel was very attractive, clean, reasonably convenient (although I do enjoy walking probably more than average). Beds were comfortable. I will definitely choose this hotel when i return to DC.
"Sheraton DC"
Not what you would expect of a Sheraton Hotel. The room had a weird smell and bath towels were old. There was aslo water from the toilet on the floor... Noisy people as neighboors you could hear almost everything. Besides that, staff is pleasant enought, Lobby is beautiful and the location is great.
People at the hotel are very helpful and very professional. The location is good but I am not sure whether buses run on schedule.

My husband and I stayed here for a 2 night last minute trip to DC and found it to be quite modern, clean, and most important, convenient. The hotel is located within 2 blocks of the DC Metro 'Gallery' stop, within 20 min straight walk to the National Mall and White House. We like to walk a lot when travelling to cities and this was the perfect spot […] for walking everywhere. The staff were helpful and most friendly. Within 1-2 blocks we could find various restaurants from Cuban to Portuguese chicken. We will stay here again next time. Mehr
