Sleep Inn Flint - Flint

This hotel is nice and clean. I like the walk in shower, but I've been in 3 different rooms and the bathroom doors are broken in every one. Other than that, the pool area is ok but in need of updating.

exactly what a medium price room is suposed to be .

It's cheap, comfortable, in a good location. Rooms are a bit dated, but I really liked the walk-in shower.

The staff was pretty good, and the overall experience was good, but there were a couple of things that bothered me. The price was good, the beds comfortable, but when we arrived at our room, we found that the bathroom door was a hassle. It was the kind that slides into the door, which would be nice, but it was missing whatever makes it slide. It was […] so hard to open and close it, my girlfriend could not do it by herself. it not a 3 star hotel

The only complaint was during breakfast, the van driver and lady counter assistance were in breakfast area talking loud and being unprofessional. Other than that, the stay was alright.

I asked the night clerk if they give wake up calls and she said they did. I had an early morning flight out of Bishops Airport so I requested a 5 o'clock call. Our stay at the Sleep Inn Flint was decent. Our room and the hotel in general were clean, beds were comfortable. Pipes in our bathroom were somewhat noisy. A musty smell greeted us as we walked toward our first floor room. Water damage was clearly evident on the hallway walls. The shower in our room was poorly installed. Mildew surrounded the shower door frame and some adjacent tile along the bathroom floor, where the tile was pulling away from the wall due to water damage. The carpeting and furniture […] had several stains. The bed linens were so wrinkled we suspected they were not clean, but they did smell clean. The curtain backing had numerous holes. This was the worst experience we have had with a motel. On the positive side the staff were friendly and worked hard to keep the breakfast area orderly. However, it was clear that the maintainence of the internal structures and furniture were being neglected and becoming very run down. Look elsewhere for a place to stay would be our advice. Mehr

The room wasOK; however, the vanity was very tight as was the tub/toilet room. The breakfast was limited and the available space for the guests in that area was minimal.

Stayed at the Sleep Inn for 2 nights - a weekend get-a-way with my husband. Planned on spending most of our time shopping at Birch Run, and Frankenmuth. FIRST OF ALL THE FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE HOTEL IS THE CHECK IN DESK, THE EMPLOYEE WAS RUDE (TALKING ON HER CELL PHONE WHILE I WAS TRYING TO CHECK-IN.) WHEN I ASK TO TALK TO THE MANAGER ON DUTY I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WASN'T ONE AND ALL THAT I COULD DO WAS WAIT TIL THE NEXT MORNING, THE BUSINESS CARD THAT SITS ON THE COUNTER ONLY HAS THE PHONE NUMBER […] TO THE DESK THAT I WAS STANDING AT. WHEN I CAME DOWN THE NEXT MORNING TO TALK TO THE MANAGER THIS PERSON STILL AT 8:30 THEY STILL WEREN'T AVAILABLE... WHILE WRITING THIS REVIEW I WATCHED AN ELDERLY GENTLEMAN CHECK AND A DIFFERENT LADY WAS AS RUDE TO HIM. ITS ONE THING TO BE RUDE TO ME, SINCE I'M YOUNGER, BUT TO SPEAK TO AN ELDERLY GENTLEMAN LIKE SHE DID WAS WAAAAAYYYYY OUT OF LINE.. BUT ON OUR SECOND NIGHT STAYING THEY DID BOTHER TO POST A SIGN THAT THE POOL WAS DOWN (THAT DID EVERYONE THAT STAYED HERE OR BOOKED THIS HOTEL ALOT OF GOOD, SINCE WERE KIND OF STUCK AFTER WE PAID FOR THIS (WHILE I GUESS YOU CAN CALL IT A HOTEL) THE REASON THAT THIS IS SO BAD IS THAT I CALLED AND CONFIRMED THE RESERVATION NO ONE INFORMED ME THAT THE POOL WAS NOT OPERATING! Great complimentary breakfast. More attention to detail cleaning would be good. Pool was shut down when we arrived for weekend, which was disappointing as that is why we booked there. Great location. Staff was nice.

The room was comfortable and clean the staff was courteous and the location was good. I would recommend them and I would stay here again

Basic room when you need a place to sleep while travelling between two places..not a place for a weekend get away.

Stayed there as an overnight pit stop on the way to Canada so didn't require much, just a room, shower , and internet access. Room smelled of smoke when we arrived, told the manager and let her see for herself so I wouldn't get stung for the $150 smoking in the room charge. She offered to change rooms but didn't have another with double beds only a […] queen. We were tired and declined and just kept the room we had. Tried to use the "in room" internet service but it didn't work because the router was too far away. The manager said I could come to the loby to use the internet, but I had sitting on my bed watching tv while checking work e-mails in mind, so the loby idea was unappealing. If you need a bed , shower , close freeway access, and close choices to grab a bite to eat then this place will do. Serviceable Hotel at best Mehr

I had an enjoyable stay at this Hotel. It has the affordable rates, Internet, a swimming pool, clean rooms, good service and a free breakfast. What more could you ask for.

Everything went according to plan. The room had everything I needed, and was clean. The staff was courteous. I will stay at Sleep Inn Flint again.

From reading previous reviews, I was concerned about staying at this hotel. I am happy to say, i was pleased with the service from the staff, they went out of their way to accommodate the guest; the room was clean; breakfast was wonderful. An excellent value for those on a budget.

very disapointing! from the begining, bad smell in the hallways, tiny tiny pillows, bathroom that does not have a door!!!, pool out of service, so called "gym" is in next door hotel and 2 out of 8 machines were out of order! on top of all of this, hostel staff were very unprofessional! I read bad reviews about this one but ignored it due to low price. […] not sure this was wise decision! Mehr

The hotel was under construction so perhaps some may be cause of that situation. Our room needed dusted(TV-dresser) coffee pot was dirty. Elevator was not very clean around the edges. Pool area needed a little TLC. Breakfast was nice however the tables were dirty(I cleaned ours to enjoy) The clerk when checked out was very pleasant. #1 The cable TV didn't work - had to call and get it fixed - needed a new cable box #2 There was a drip in the shower that could not have been missed by the housekeepers, but was not fixed. Was almost a steady stream. I reported it in the morning since I didn't want somebody in my room late at night when I was there by myself.

Our hotel room had no cable box in the room so we had to wait for matience to come and install a new box. The door to the bathroom was actually a closet door and it was broken and would not close completely. Also the facuet on sink was right over the counter so when you turned on faucet the water went all over the countertop!

I chose this hotel for its convenient location near the airport and for the fact that it had a jacuzzi and a public laundry room. I was very disappointed that laundry was out of service and the hot tub was disgusting. It was stained a yellowish-brown color, as was the water, and just wasn't clean. The hotel's lobby was under construction, so there was an odd odor, I think from the plastic and drywall. The beds in the room were a little short for myself and my husband. We are average heighth and were hanging off the end of the bed, also there was plastic on both double beds under the sheets, which you heard when you turned over on the bed. The […] pool was okay, warm temperature, but was not cleaned the best that I think it could have been. I do have to say the free continental breakfast was excellent. There was a variety of items to choose from. The danishes were fresh, they had varieties of cereals, waffles that you can make, and several options for drinks. The hotel looked nice from the outside and was in a good neighborhood. Really easy to get to the Machine Shop from the hotel. Check in was easy. Our room however was not the best. The bathroom door is a sliding door but didnt have a track so you have to pull it as hard as you can and it didnt shut all the way. The toilet seat also fell off which did […] not make the stay very comfortable. There is also very little privacy inside the room so make sure whoever youre staying with you know very well. When we arrived in the room it was freezing so we tried to turn the heat on to make the room warmer, when we did the smoke alarm in our room went off because of the smell and heat that came out of the heater. Luckily my friends and I weren't in the room very much and just slept in there. The side door was broken to get into the hotel so you had to use the main enterance at all times. Its good for a quick stay if youre not spending to much time in the room itself and looking for something cheap. However, you get what you pay for. Mehr

Rooms were a little cramped. Sleep Inn is at the lower end of Choice Hotels properties. Should have chosen a Comfort or Quality or Clarion. Hotel personnel were nice and very accommodating.

Stay was great. Saw fireworks from room window so this made it fun. Only problem was that pool/hot tub was out of service. My opinion, if you reserve a room and the pool/hot tub are out then the price of said room should be reduced. Was looking forward to the pool. If hotels are going to advertise the rooms and they have pool/hot tub then put in the […] advertisement that the pool/hot tub is out of service for the following days. My stay at this hotel was remarkable. Everything I needed was at hand. My kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast.The shower was best and relaxing. I can't wait for my next stay there cause it will be a next time.

clean newer hotel with comfortable rooms. close to restaurants and big box shopping. bit of a drive if you are going downtown.

We stayed in this hotel based on the reviews from previous customers. We were very happy there. The breakfast was good. The WiFi was free and there was a computer with printer for anyone to use. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel smelled very nice and clean. I will stay here again if I go to MI again.

the door to the bathroom wasnt on tract the window treatment fell down and other that that i loved it it was in the location that i needed closer to the shopping malls and the my kids loved the pool

I have stayed here for the past three years while volunteering at the Buick Open. Conveniently located for an early start the next morning. The desk staff has always been courteous and efficient.

DIRTY TACKY THAT SAYS IT ALL !!!!!!
