It was a very quiet night and a good breakfast in the morning

Had some difficulties with our room as the lock was broken and we couldn't get in. Only other rooms they had were smoking. Staff were very apologetic, helpful and friendly and did their best. Overall not a bad place to stay. Decent rooms, convenient location good price, great staff.

Looking for bed bugs and noticed both beds covered in stains, paint peeling from ceiling. as for the breakfast I arrived from room to the lobby for breakfast and they were putting items away, asked if I may have a couple bags of boiled eggs (2) I was told to late already started putting items away....

This was a great stay. The room was updated and clean. There are LCD TV's (LQ standard.) The pool was open and looked nice however I did not use it. The bed slept really good. The only issue was the lack of tv channels. I would certainly stay here again. The internet speed was great.

Had I stayed in a different room, I believe my experience would have been much more enjoyable. However, upon arrival I was notified that I was bumped from my nonsmoking room to a smoking room. Because there were "no rooms left" I agreed, but wished I had checked out the room prior to agreeing. It smelled like I was stepping into an ashtray. I had considered […] sleeping outside by the pool, however, the bed sheets smelled like cigarettes, as well. I have bad allergies and am just now getting over the sickness induced from staying in the hotel room. (1 and 1/2 weeks later). The breakfast and Internet was commendable. I am not used to hotels where you pull you vehicle right up to your door, and because of this I feel you do hear a little more outside noise than you do with interior room entrances. But I will say that the overall care that I received from the staff was outstanding. My room was clean and comfortable and had the little amenities that I like (flat screen […] TV, Microwave, refrigerator). When I stay in this area again I will again stay at this facility (if the price stays as competitive as it was for this stay) Mehr

if the rooms were updated i would recomend this hotel to friends and family. the room/bathroom was very run down looking. fresh coat of paint and a good scrubing of the carpet and tile is very much needed. the staff was very nice and helpful.

Retraining of cleaning staff seems to be in order. Dusty surfaces and urine stained bath floors were a major turn off. Took two of their thin towels to dry off. Empty tissue boxes, 4 sheets left on toilet roll... 2 star hotel at best.

The main door was hard to open.

We found our room extremely filthy. We checked in at 1:30am after driving 14 hours and would normally have asked for a different room but we were so tired, we decided to deal with it the next day. The sheets had obviously not been changed and one bed still smelled of bodily odors I will not go into here. We believe my wife contracted pink eye from the […] pillow sheet. The floors were dirty and unvacuumed, the bathtub was dirty, and the ceilings were covered in "dust bunnies". Previously I have had good accomodations at LaQuinta but NOT in Anderson, SC. Mehr

The hotel must have given us the worst room available. There were stairs right outside the main wall of the room that was attached to the building so every step made sounded like thunder inside. There was also the vending machines that were behind the stairs that could be heard through the walls. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but I could […] smell it when I walked in. This was confirmed to be a smoking room when I found burn marks along the lip of the bath tub. Mehr

dirty, old, horrible bathroom, needs atotal overhaul!!!!

The motel is clean but some againing in and around the site. Room was clean, beds comfortable. Close to resturants. About 20 minutes from Clemson. Didn't encounter any friendly staff; just doing their jobs.No frills but comfortable.

Very nice room with a good flat screen TV. Comfortable bed, good shower water pressure, and nice staff. No complaints at all. Very pleased with the hotel. Convenience to Clemson, where I was attending the Auburn Clemson football game the next day, - less than 20 miles away.

The hotel had a great breakfast and wonderful staff. Not a lot of frills, but perfect for what we needed. The rooms are clean and have been upgraded with flat screens. Some general hotel maintenace wouldn't hurt, but it wouldn't keep me from returning either.

So I read some of the reviews on the La Quinta in Anderson and I must say that I was really surprised at the cleanliness, friendliness, and convenience of this hotel! It is MUCH better than I had expected. I sent a friend to check it out before I got there so I could be ready to request a different room and they were surprised as well after reading […] the reviews. Goes to show you can't believe everything you read. Everyone has a different expectation, some people want gold for the price of copper. I was most interested in the comment about the cigarette butt under the bed; first thing I did when I got in the room was look under the bed, and to my surprise there is no way to get under the bed! That's right, they have slats blocking it, so I wonder how that person found a cigarette under the bed. Anyway, just thought I would clean up their reputation a little since there was some injustice. I was VERY happy and will definitely stay there again! OH, and the pool was very clean and my son had a blast! Mehr

Worst place I've ever stayed! On the way north we stayed and had asked for 2 non-smoking rooms. Our room smelled like a dirty ashtray. After calling the desk the man there said he'd move us to 2 non-smoking, but my husband didn't feel up to changing rooms, since he'd already carried all of luggage up the steps (there wasn't an elevator around there […] on the back). We didn't have a trash can in our room, and we needed one to put the trash that we found on the floor behind the bathroom door! I also had to clean the toilet seat before we used it, because something (I don't know what it was) was dried on it. On the way back from our trip my husband wanted to give that motel another chance, so we stopped. We did get two non-smoking rooms, all the way at the back, where a bunch of construction workers were housed, apparently on a permanent basis from the looks of it. We got upstairs to the rooms and we didn't have towels or washclothes. I was going to call the desk to ask for some but the phone didn't work at all. I went to our daughters room to use her phone and discovered she didn't have towels either. When I called the front desk I was told I'd have to come get the towels myself, then the woman only gave us 4 towels and 2 washclothes... there were 5 adults and 2 children in the two rooms! She said they didn't have any more. The bathroom floor was nasty, one of the shades on the lamps between the beds was missing, the grounds were still in the coffee maker from the last tenant, and the lip on the coffeepot was broken off. Now, I realize this is not a 4 star motel, but I do expect places to be clean. I don't want to drink coffee from a pot that has not been cleaned and especially one with the lip broken. Now, the next morning when I told the desk clerk about that room, she gave me my money back for that room, and that was a good thing. this was our second stay at la quinta inn. we had 2 honeymoons and stayed here. we really like this hotel and will go back again. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the rooms are clean. it it convienent to alot of things to do.

We had no towels in the room when we arrived. THe room was not clean and the lights were burned out in the bathroom. The housekeeping staff did not seem concerned about making sure our room had been taken care of. We were very disappointed.

I have stayed in La Quinta's on many vacations and always had a good experience in the past. This La Quinta give the chain a bad name. There were no towels or washcloths in my room and when I went to the front desk to get some I was given one of each and told we would have to share as they were running low. There were no toiletries in the room as we […] have become accustomed to. The refridgerator did not work and the bedspread was dirty. Needless to say this was not a pleasant stay. Mehr

The hotel reception staff was very nice and helpful. Check in was less than a minute and the room was clean with lots of store and restaurants around. Great for people with kids at Clemson University.

I have stayed in this property three times in recent months. Always, clean, quick for service and close to everything you need. I would highly recommend it over and over again.

Fair priced hotel with access to lots of resturants and Clemson University. Very nice breakfast with lots of variety.

it was a delightful place. we enjoyed it. we went on our honey moon there and was very pleased. the only downfall was that the pool area wasnt open. we wanted ti use the gazebo and lounge chairs and couldnt because they were locked inside the fence with the pool, they needed to have a gazebo outside of the pool area.

Outside, corner room near top of stairs. Noisy - people using the stairs and especially traffic noise from street.

The motel is clean but aging it need to be painted and fixed up in some areas. Our room was clean except a used bar of soap was left on the side of the bath tub. Location is close to resturants and the mall. Staff was very freindly.

My main concern was finding a cigarette butt under the bed in a non-smoking room, as well as the smell of stale cigarette smoke. Also, the handle came off the faucet, so I left it on the counter thinking it would be repaired when the cleaning person came in, but it was still broken when we checked out 24 hr. later. This hotel is quiet and clean. There is free breakfast and wifi. It is close to Clemson, so it is perfect for when we come in town for games. We always stay at this hotel for football and basketball game weekends.

Check in was fine, the room was a diffewrent story. There was a used condom on the floor next to bed it made me very upset. i left and went the the super 8 motel

The room needed to be vacuumed more carefully. Our room was close to the stairs and was a bit noisy. The motel was convenient and the staff was excellent. Great outdoor space.

The La Quinta in Anderson fit our needs perfectly. It was pretty clean, very comfortable, and quiet at night. It was pet-friendly as well. We would definitely consider another stay!

Hotels.com gave us a great rate to this La Quinta, and it turned out it was as good as the other reviews said it was. We were very satisfied with our stay. We just stay at hotels to sleep, so we don't know much about it aside from the condition of the room.

The reason I would not recommend this hotel to others is because I did not think that the hotel was well maintained. In my room the tub faucet leaked, the tub drain was clogged(I took a shower with my feet in standing water. Nasty!), the curtain was falling down, and the drawer on the dresser was broken. Consider power washing the sidewalks and upper […] room walkways. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn. Since this was a vacation that included my extended family, I did not get to pick the hotel. This hotels is having some maintenance to the entrance and the front desk area. This motel should do a remodel job to all of the rooms.
