Positiv: - Das Hotel liegt direkt hinter dem South Beach in Miami Beach Negativ: - Die Zimmer sind ziemlich hellhörig. Habe ich noch nie so erlebt! - Das Bett war durchgelegen und alt - Sauberkeit im Bad mangelhaft. Es waren sofort ersichtliche lange schwarze Haare im Waschbecken. Für eine Nacht South Beach gerade noch ok, allerdings keinerlei "Erholungswert". […] Ich buche das Hotel nicht noch mal. Mehr

Wenn man wie wir nur eine Nacht dort ist hat das Hotel eine ideale Lage, man kann alles zu Fuss erreichen. Parken ist ja dort überall problematisch, der Parkplatz neben dem Hotel ist erschwinglich , gehört aber nicht zum Hotel . Strand, Geschäfte und Restaurants sind gut zu erreichen.

Sauberes zahlbares Hotel mitten drin im Art Deco Destrict. Easy walking distance zum Espanola Way und zur Lincoln Road Mall. Der Lumus Park und der Strand sind ums Eck (ca. 1 Gehminute). Perfekte Lage. Zimmer sind unterschiedlich (nicht allzu gross aber sehr sauber mit Flat Screen).

Das Hotel ist, was Preis-Leistung betrifft, vollkommen in Ordnung, da man die sehr hohen Hotelpreise in Miami Beach beachten muss. Jedoch würde man in Ö/D/CH für das Geld ein um vieles besseres Hotel bekommen......

Preis - Leistung stimmt!! Miami Beach - besonders der Art Deco District ist lärmig, das muss man in Kauf nehmen - die Zimmer sind günstig und man ist mitten im Geschehen - perfekt Wer Komfort, Wellness/Spa sucht - der soll USD 150.-- mehr bezahlen und wo anders buchen, wer günstig im Geschehen wohnen will, der ist hier am richtigen Ort.

Our rooms looked like dorm rooms, the beds are tiny and the furniture is pretty sparse. The room could have been cleaner, but there were no bugs which is a plus in Florida. It's in a great location; we walked everywhere, to restaurants, bars, the beach and shopping.

I'm so glad that we chose this hotel. Everything about it was PERFECT! Yes, I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone planning to go to MIA.

This was a great choice because being in the heart of South Beach the rooms were clean, modern, with HD tv cd player, cold AC. It is close to everything and very affordable. Don't expect concierge or anything like that except and great room to sleep in.

Would stay there again. Good value and perfect location in South Beach. Walking distance from most attractions.

the only complaint I have about this hotel is that the room is small. There is a little table top ledge above the fridge that you literally had to squeeze by. But that's it! I never expected a huge room. The room was clean, house keeping was on point. We loved the front desk man Jose!! He let us check in early and he let us have a late check out for […] free. He was super helpful and nice. The location of the.hotel was perfect. I loved the Kent and would stay there again in the future. Mehr

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for literally 1 hour and we had to get out. The hotel smelled like weed and we could hear everything through the walls, including at women vomiting. The bathroom and sink was clogged and the table tops had hairs on them. Not recommended. I have to say that the staff was helpful and understood what we were complaining […] about and they refunded us our money, so we could go sleep at a different hotel. Mehr

Hotel is small, and inconvenient to unload your luggage. Also, they don't allow for late check-outs. Its in a great location though, and very affordable for the area.

My husband was surprised I would stay there. The room was not modern but we only slept there so it was adequate. Very close to the beach and restaurants and bus lines. The young fellow at the front desk when we arrived lacked personality.

Good hotel, 5 minute walk away from the beach. Right in the middle of shopping, food, anything else you could ask for in Miami. The staff was a little careless and as a result I had to get my room changed after I settled into my first room, but everything else went well.

Great location. Authentic art deco. Friendly service. Valet parking reasonably priced. Very good experience.

So...I had no idea what a dump South Beach was. The beach was beautiful...no doubt about that. The best beach I have seen in Florida. However, the moment you step foot off of the beach, it is dirty, smelly, there seemed to be drugs everywhere, and I did not feel completely safe. The Kent was on par with other hotels in the Art Deco area (aka...everything […] was constructed in the 50's and 60's). The beds were really comfy, and one of the front desk clerks was fabulous (Francois) - he was very nice and helpful. I would love to have him on all of my vacations. However, the Kent smelled of weed the whole time we were there, one worker seemed very high the entire time (not Francois), and one of the bartenders at the hotel spoke about some of the drug trips she has been on. While I am sure this is the case all over the place, it still left me never really wanting to go back to South Beach. However, if this is your scene and you are going to South Beach, the Kent is an okay choice. I will opt to go to other areas of Florida next time. Mehr

The Kent is a good choice if all you're looking for is a nice basic room in South Beach. The hotel has no amenities, except free wi-fi. But the rooms are modern and clean and the bathroom is updated. The price was great and the area has a lot to recommend it, although you're a block from the beach. N

What a great little hotel to stay in. Friendly helpful staff. Staff where very helpful in organising tours. Very close to all the great places on South Beach. Very Clean, Would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay

Not a bad hotel for the price,, just not great attention to detail. Room smelled of smoke which was the main detraction for me, even though it was a non smoking room. The television remote control didn't work but not a big deal for an overnight stay. AC was noisy, but worked pretty well for a wall unit. I was very pleased with the Kent Hotel when i stayed there last week. The staff was friendly, my room on the 3rd floor (top floor) was nicely updated which included a beautiful bathroom with rain shower. It was a quiet and comfortable sleep for all three nights. The room was not overly big, but i wasn't looking for that, i needed comfortable, clean, […] & reasonably priced, and that's exactly what i got. I really enjoyed the friendly restaurant staff at the adjoining bar. The location is perfect, and I will definitely be staying there again next year. Overall a good experience. Mehr

The room was very cool--Scandinavian modernish--and Francois the concierge was most helpful suggesting a great Cuban restaurant. Only a block from Ocean Avenue and all the people watching, guitar playing, etc. A great value and 30 minutes to the airport.

Very clean!!!Awesome location!!! Very friendly staff!!! They were very nice to us and our dog we brought!!! I'll def go back and recommend!! perfectly located next to the beach and all the restaurants and bars.

Our stay was very enjoyable. the room was clean. There was an issue with the toilet running on which was addressed promptly once the front desk was advised. The room previously assigned to us was to close to elevators and restaturant bathroon;however, when we asked for a change of rooms we were moved quickly and with no fuss. All of the staff were courteius […] and were helpful in assisting us with finding out how to get to the variuos venues and restaurants we wanted to go to. It would be nice if the room had a small cafe table to site at as the room only has the bed and a couple of chairs at the fixed counter. Mehr

The Kent Hotel is conveniently in the heart of the Art-Deco region of South Beach. The front desk people were helpful. The rooms are very basic and the facilities are old and tired. Only complaint about our room is that it was on the first floor right next to the public restroom and lobby. The noise was extreme. If you are given that room ask for a change immediately.

It took over an hour to check in. The gentleman behind the counter took his sweet time and although there were only two groups of people ahead me, it took an extremely long time to get me checked in. Once checked in, the hotel wasn't too bad. Great location right off the strip, quiet, stylish and the hotel was cool for the price.

The location is great but the noise level in the hotel was horrible. There is a restaurant in the lobby and the customers could be heard all through the night as well as car alarms from the parking lot next door. The lobby is nothing great and the rooms were just okay. Not worth the price and wouldn't stay here again.

I have stayed at a variety of Hotels in Miami and many are over priced and under serve... The Kent is not the best hotel I have ever stayed in but it is the most honest.. The price is great ... the rooms are small and clean.. they are not the most up to date rooms but they are maintained The staff I found to be friendly and cordial.. Really wanted to give this place four stars. It's no question that this is a 3 star hotel but unlike most of the older hotels on the south beach, this one is actually pretty clean. And the staff was super friendly. Stayed here for new years. Simply put, if you are coming to south beach to party and drink...and want to save the extra money on liquor...then […] book this room. It's your basic 3 star room..no thrills, no over the top amenities....just a clean bed, tube tv, clean bathroom shower, and a window lol. And the location could not be any more perfect. The ocean is right behind you and washington ave(where all the clubs are) is right in front of you. The only issue I had was parking. That deserves a big sad face :(. You have the option of paying $40 a day next door on attempting to find parking on the street which is nearly impossible. Mehr

I was a bit anxious because of the price point, but overall my expectations were exceeded. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and updated, albeit small. Valet parking is $20, and the location is perfect.

Good aspects- 1 block from beach, prime restaurant location, clean rooms Bad aspects- dont expect to get any sleep there: walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors conversations and everything in the hallway; ac unit is old and loud. Prior to our cruise we stayed here for one night. The fellow at the front desk could not have been any more helpful. He stored our bags for us until our room was ready. He recommended various stores and restaurants to us and genuinely tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. He helped with a problem we encountered with our room and arranged transportation […] for us. Excellent service. Thank you! The hotel is located in a great location, just a block from the beach. It is within walking distance to most things we wanted to see. Where the hotel did not meet our meet our expectations was it the size, decor and cleanliness of our room. The rooms are very small and sparsely furnished. If you have ever stayed at a YMCA or at a bible college dorm, this hotel room would be very similar. These rooms are unadorned with nothing special or fancy including the small older television set. Although I have never before complained about the cleanliness of a hotel room, this one should have been better. I literally played a game of X and O's in the dust covering the phone in our room, hoping the cleaning staff would notice this? So while the front desk staff was excellent, as is the location, our room itself was very plain, quite small and not the cleanest. While the price we paid for this room was better than many others in the area, I think my next visit here will have me shelling out a few more dollars for a nicer hotel. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel for 4nights, and the thing that I appreciated the most was the customer service from the front desk. They really went out of their way to accommodate our needs. It is older hotel but they do great job with maintenance, housekeeping and front desk ppl are great. Location of hotel is great also.

The location is great. There is no parking lot, just a self parking around the corner with very rude tenants... The room was clean, but decoration was poor... looks almost like hospital room. Absolutely beautiful and sooooo deco! A must stay on miami beach :) The Suites are wonderful

The sets of stairs were a bit difficult especially since there was no assistance with the bags. The restaurant was convenient though pricy. The room rate was fair and our stay was enjoyable.
