Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfreich. Das Zimmer war sauber mit extra abgetrennten Bad und Duschmöglichkeit in der Wanne. Die Übernachtung war inkl. Frühstück. Entgegen vorheriger Bewertungen war es ausgiebig. Man konnte wählen zwischen, Muffin, Beagles, Toast mit Toaster, Waffeln zum selber machen, Obstauswahl, genügent Aufstrich wie versch. Marmeladen und Sirup, zwei versch. Kaffesorten (normal und entkoffeniert) und Saft aus dem Automaten. Alles als free refill. Wer eine Stadtrundfahrt machen möchte kann sich an der Rezeption melden. Von dort kann eine Stadtrundfahrt mit Abholung vom Hotel organisert werden. Also besser geht es gr nicht. Ich kann nur jeden dieses Hotel empfehlen. Würde jederzeit sofort doert wieder übernachten. Volle Punktzahl. Einziger kleiner Abstrich ist die örtl. Umgebung. Auf den ersten Blick sieht die Umgebung etwas ungemütlich aus, aber wenn man daran denkt, das es nicht gerade die Innenstadt ist geht es in Ordnung. Ca. 5 Min Fußweg gibt es zwei Fastfood Restaurants und genau gegenüber ist ein großer (mexikanischer) Supermarkt. Alles in ereichbarer Nähe.

Ich war mit einem Bekannten für 7 Tage in dem Motel. Sehr netter Empfang. Absolut problemlos. Erster Eindruck wurde während des gesamten Aufenthaltes bestätigt. Frühstück mit frischen warmen Haferflocken, frisches Rührei, gekochte Eier, Waffeln zum selbstbacken, Müsli, Säfte, Obst, Kaffee, Tee, ... -kurzum, für amerikanische Motelverhältnisse absolut super und ausreichend. Das richtige für den Start in den Tag. Lage: ca. 15 Minuten Fussmarsch zum Venicebeach, 5 Minuten zum Hafen von Marina, 15 Minuten zum Harleyverleih am Lincoln- Boulevard, Tiefgaragenparkplätze kostenlos, Zimmer sauber und frisch renoviert -unseres zumindest- Personal immer freundlich, kleiner Pool und Spa zur Erfrischung/ Entspannung, Innenhof mit Sitzmöglichkeiten und Gaskamin, für uns jederzeit wieder 1. Wahl für L.A. Aufenthalte!!!!!!!!!

Es ist kein Zufall, dass sich ausgezeichnete Secondhandläden im Melrose District östlich von Beverly Hills niedergelassen haben. Im Melrose District befinden sich viele aufsteigende Designstudios. West Hollywood, auch WeHo genannt, ist nicht weit davon entfernt und bildet den Mittelpunkt der Homosexuellenszene von Los Angeles.

Nice neighborhood, beautiful large property in the city. Loved the open air restaurant, cool lobby bar (formerly the whiskey bar). Lots of art & rock energy with the recording studio on site, but not pretentious. Villas the way to go.

"Sunset Marquis - The hidden gem in WeHo!!"
I advise you to not stay anywhere else on your next visit to WeHo! This place rocks (literally) upon check-in I was greeted by very friendly staff that was informative about the hotel and its grounds. My room was on the ground level which didn't have a view, but, had direct access to the pool which was nice since this last weekend was what we call pre-summer […] here in SoCal ;) The room was a good size suite and very clean. I was intrigued by a review I had read about a recording studio so I went exploring the 3.5 acres of stunning property. There are 2 pools a restaurant called 'The Restaurant' (which has a jaw-dropping Sunday Brunch spread, EVERY SUNDAY) and a really cool bar called 1200. For those with children or big spenders the Villas are tucked behind the restaurant. These magnificent suites are surrounded by a canopy of plush gardens and aromatic flowers. While exploring the premises I stumbled upon the recording studio, it's fun to find this place since it's separate from the hotel and they seem to keep it a secret so I'll let you explore! SHH, but a lot of the top recording artists have and do record here!! After enjoying a couple rounds of drinks provided by the hotel I took a walk up to Sunset Blvd. The hotel is a block away from the strip so enjoying the sights is easy! I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a vacation in West Hollywood!! Can't wait until my next visit! Mehr

The location was unbelievable and the room exceeded my expectations. The people were very nice and I would recommend this hotel to everybody. I enjoyed my stay very much. It felt like I was at home. Thanks again.
"Rock Star Status"
Absolutely a 5 star experience! Perfect location in the middle of West Hollywood, yet a quiet oasis just off the strip, peaceful and resort style. The grounds were impeccable, the staff could not have been friendlier or more attentive. Great rock star spotting hotel. This will be my one and only LA destination going forward!

"Still a winner,"
I would give it 3 1/2 stars out of four today. It seems to be trying to a bit too hip. And thats very apparent with the people I saw walking around the lobby as s well. Still the rooms are great and the pool area is tops and the overall service is wonderful?
"Sunset Marquis in LA is Fabulous"
Great Hotel, Staff, and location. I prefer the older part of the hotel, by the front desk. Rooms are large. The staff is great. The location in West Hollywood is perfect.
"Sad and sorry in the midst of glamour"
Overall very disappointing, as we had stayed in another WeHo hotel closer to Berverly Hills and expected the same kind of fun and sun and decent service. Not so. The room was supposed to have a balcony. It did, looking onto a building right next door. The room was large and well decorated in Pottery Barn modern, but it was really dark. Probably the […] villas are nice, but the main building feels slightly dismal and dated for the price charged. The bar looked interesting, parking impossible without valet, and not really centrally located. Other WeHo hotels at the same price point offer more amenities, better rooms, and closer proximity to good restaurants and shops. Overall never again. Mehr

"Great if you stay in the Villas"
Great location. beautiful grounds. Feels very hip. Our reservation was for a suite, but it was a bit dark, dated, fairly plain. "Vintage" as the bellhop said. Lots of space, but it felt like an old hotel. We checked out a Jr. Villa and the difference was like night and day. High ceilings, newly remodeled, much nicer atmosphere. We'll be back!
"Every expectation was easily exceeded"
Easily one of my favorite hotels in the world. The ambiance of the villas (think Hawaii, with Birds of paradise and palms and trees everywhere) is otherworldly when you realize that you're 100 yards off of Sunset. Restaurant serves up outstanding food. Bar 1200 is the perfect spot to cozy up with a significant other and enjoy a cocktail or two to start […] off, or cap, your night. The villas themselves are incredible, with spacious bathrooms, outstanding decor, and beds that feel like clouds. Everyone was helpful and attentive, and not having to deal with star struck sightseers was a definite plus. I will be revisiting rather regularly. Mehr

Can't say enough good things about my stay. The hotel was great. Quiet and secluded yet close to everything. Impeccable service and real attention to details. Have reccommended it to friends who have already stayed there and loved it. They have made it hard for me to consider staying anywhere else when in town.

"Too pricey, a little full of itself"
They seem a little cocky about their hollywood location, and their C list celebrity past patrons. Within 90 minutes of checking in staff knocked on our door 3 times! Just let me relax please! Comfortable. If you need a large room and a Hollywood location and have money to burn, this is hotel is great. The Orchid is less comfortable, but beats the Marquis […] on everything else. Mehr
