Days Inn St. Louis - Lindbergh Boulevard - St. Louis

My family and I recently stayed here while we were in town for a funeral. Our flight was changed and we ended up arriving at 9:30 AM the day we were supposed to check in. The hotel staff allowed us to check in early and were very courteous. The hotel was clean and spaceous, but a little out of the way of the city. I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was nice. They did have a nice quite beakfastroom. The pool water was very cold though and when asked if it was heate they said yes and i said can you turn it on and they said yes it would tae a day for the water to get worm because it was so big but it never got worm in the three days we were their. it was so cold that we could only swim […] for an hour. Older hotel, but clean and comfortable. I'd stay there again. Convenient, clean and in a safe area.

We chose this motel since we were taking our dog with us & they only charged a $20 fee for the entire stay. We stayed in a suite & the price was cheapest we could find near St. Louis. It was very spacious & had 2 full bathrooms. The paint colors were kinda wild but we could live with it. We went 1st wk of August so it was hot outside. A/C worked great […] in rooms, but lobby where pool & arcade was, was HOT! Although u could see thru the pool it smelled like mold, but no sign of any. Breakfast was really not bad actually. Nice selection of different food items. The bar/pub located RIGHT by there was always packed (must be good), but was never loud nor had any disturbances. The room was clean and breakfast was OK! The pool and game rooms were nice. That is all I can say on a positive note for this hotel. There is a pub in front of the hotel and patrons of the pub were using up all the parking for the hotel, including the handicapped parking (which we needed for my husband, who is disabled). The place needs an interior […] decorator badly!!! I had reserved a suite and it was not very "sweet". The furniture was mismatched and looked like Hand-me-Downs. The "touch up" painting that was done in our room was aweful. The bathroom was very small and the ceiling was too low (made us feel claustrophobic). There were broken tiles in the bathroom. The air conditioner units blew Hot air exhaust into the halls and main lobby of the hotel making it very uncomfortable. The staff were very rude and unfriendly during our stay. St. Louis is a humid place during the summer. It just is. This is a great hotel in a lot of respects - however - it is probably perfect when the AC doesn't need to be on. I read the reviews that it is an enclosed outdoor hotel, and for 3 seasons, that's probably fantastic, because there are ways to manage the interior which keeps the temp moderate. […] During the summer, expect to stay in your room, and have some hot and humid interior walks to the pool, the desk, and the internal playground. The AC units add heat to the interior walkways. If the AC is off/the heat is on, I can imagine that this is quite lovely, as there were a lot of internal features and visiting spaces that could make a family reunion easy. It was just too hot - and we were at the peak of a heat wave. You get a lot for a low price. The pool was great. There is an interior playground and game room. In indoor volleyball area, too. The continental breakfast was delicious and well-supplied. Being so close to 44, we were only a few minutes from downtown/the Arch, and were able to shift directions and head out to Six Flags and Fort Leonard Wood. There is a WalMart nearby, as well as other conveniences. Mehr

toilet did not flush,we asked to be moved,they finally did move us,however very shabby,but clean,we will not stay there again,though the price was very good!

We had to move to this hotel after something happened to the pool at another hotel in the area. We couldn't have been more pleased! Breakfast was fresh and good, the pool area was clean and provided hours of amusement for us, and our room was big enough for us plus the crib and medical equipment we travel with. The front desk workers were polite and […] helpful, and went above and beyond to help us out with a few of OUR issues, not theirs. great location did not worry about valuables in my car like I have at other places we have stayed. Staff very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Centrally located. Will definitely stay again

The hotel was VERY old and not as advertised at all. It seemed to be a Holiday Inn from the 80's. Additionally, we were awakened at 7:00am by a barking German Shepard next door. I truly hope his owners were dead as he barked and whined for over an hour with no attention. As dog lovers, I now understand why hotels don't allow pets. Not worth our money […] at all. Mehr

We loved this hotel. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. We had a couple of maintenance issues, but were taken care of promptly and courteously. The kids loved the pool and playground. There was no air conditioning in the hotel, only individual units in the room. Also the sheets had stains on them. Employees very nice. Free breakfast was only average at best.

This hotel was a great price, and location and is exactly what we needed for our family reunion. The breakfast was suffient, nothing extraordinary. The hotel lobby and rooms were clean. It was very hot in the pool and playground area, but other than that, it was fine. (We were also visiting in the middle of a heat wave.) We stayed one night and the only reason we actully stayed because it was prepaid. I do not recommend this hotel!!!!

This hotel met our needs. We have three older girls, and they were entertained with the pool and arcade. The continental breakfast is wonderful with waffles, biscuits and gravy, boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. Excellent price and good stay.

THE PEOPLE IN THE FRONT DESK WERE RUD!!!!!!AND WE HAD A VERRY BAD SUITE WITH MOLD ON THE CEALING AND ALSO ROACHES IN THE ROOM VERRY BAD SERVICE .

The lobby area was very hot, however the pool and recreation area was very nice. I was very upset when the manager did not honor hotels.com proof of receipt confirmation. Improper customer service was demostrated because of lack of Days Inn & hotel.com., which result an approximately 30 min. check-in after a 13hr drive. The staff was nice, but the condition of the rooms themselves were rather gross. The deal was cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I stay at this hotel occasionally when in town for business, mostly because of the location and price,although I noticed the rates had gone up on my most recent stay. It does have a decent free breakfast and a nice i ndoor pool and childrens play area.

Our family chose this Days Inn because we were going to visit the St. Louis Arch for the 4th of July and tried to find something close enough to be convenient yet not too expensive. This Days Inn was very convenient but kind of run down. we were looking for a cheap place to stay in the stl area for some 4th of july weekend cardinals games. the hotel was a great price, great location, and seemed very well staffed. the staff was helpful and friendly. my only issue is that the photos posted on hotels.com are not of this hotel (the outside view and pool views are the only ones true to the […] place). the room photos were obviously taken from another days inn. the rooms were totally fine and i have no complaints, just don't like not getting what i expect. definitely a good hotel if you're looking to stay cheap but also be close to downtown and good surroundings. When makinng this Reservation, I asked how many miles was it from Colby Street to this Hotel. I was informed that it was six (6) miles. WELL, that was not correct. We had to travel 30 Miles or more to our destination several times a day. It was very inconvenient to us. Yes, the other reviews are correct. The place is not new. But it is clean and comfortable. Our room had a slight damp Oder, but a few minutes with the AC going cleared it up. Bathrooms and room decorations are dated but in good condition. The bed was Very comfortable and the AC kept the room as cold as we wanted. The lobby area includes a huge indoor swimming pool, game area, inside playground for smaller kids, large multipurpose room and breakfast room. Again, older, but clean. My son and relatives children enjoyed the pool. It's 3 ft at one end and gradually deepens. Breakfast was good. Toaster heated waffles, biscuits and graves,oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast, juice and coffee, milk. All the basics plus a couple hot options. There is a mall across the street, burger king, and a variety of places up and down within a mile. The hotel is just off the highway, so easy access in and out. Helen fitzgeralds, the restaurant and bar out front is worth eating at. Very good and hugely popular. If you are looking for a good, clean, family friendly place, thisnis a good option..oh, they have free wireless in the rooms. For the money, it was actually more than I expected. Mehr

Enjoyed our stay. Very convienent to our activities, Breakfast was just what we needed to start our day.

We had to wait to be checked in while someone spoke on the phone. Thus giving us time to really take a look at the lobby - which was not air conditoned in 90 plus temps. Certain walls were unfinished. Looked like they added onto the lobby but did not finish all the work they needed to be done to complete the process. While the sheets smelled like […] bleach, the carpet was stained. Water levels rose in the bath tub as we showered because the drain was not working properly. The non-smoking room smelled like smoke and was humid and hot when we entered. Luckily, the individual air conditioner did cool the place down while we were out at dinner. Wall paper that had been painted over was peeling off the corner of the room. Large industrial outlets were visible in the room. There were cigarette burns in the blanket on one of the beds. At 7am, 2 employees decided to take a smoke break outside our room and have loud conversation included profanity. On a positive note, it is central to lots of food, a mall and the major highways in St. Louis. The room did cool down, and we did have clean sheets, a coffee maker and fresh towels. Mehr

Hotel need a make over, Breakfast was ok. it can use some variation. after 7 days with the same breakfast. Price was good. Rooms are clean but very old, Need shampoo the carpet . But over all was ok. We just sleep in there and out of the door next morning.I will not recommend it to any person with higher expectation. But to just sleep why not.

We stayed for two nights while in St. Louis. Went to the zoo for the day and came back to our room to rest. Kids loved the indoor pool and play area. I was very satisified with the breakfast. If you are looking for a five star hotel, look somewhere else. If you want a clean place to stay and have kids that like to swim, look here. I always check reviews […] before I book a hotel and was a little worried upon reading reviews for this hotel but took the chance because of the indoor pool. Glad I did. The even have a room in the pool area where you can play volly ball or bad mitten. There are two nice sitting areas as well as an area with tables. We ordered pizza and had it delivered and ate in an area beside the pool. The next time we go to st louis, this is where we will be staying. Oh, also another plus, the rate was excellent! Mehr

Bad hotel. the toliet took 3 flushes, old out.dated room. For what I paid it should have been better. You would be better off somewhere else.

This hotel is not in the best shape. It is old, and not in the greatest shape. However, all we were looking for was a place to sleep. We weren't looking for a 5 star hotel. This place is great when all you need is a bed and shower. The breakfast was typical, but tasted fine. Would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Extremely dated building that appears to have been converted from some other type of facility. No air conditioning in the lobby/pool area, very hot, and outside doors to public were wide open so anyone could enter without being seen. Rooms very old. Had very basics but that is all. Location advertises a hot tub. After a 15 hour drive, I was looking forward to a good soaking. The hot tub has been covered over and is no longer accessible. Also getting to the parking lot and finding a parking space at night can be a challenge. The parking lot is shared with a restaurant and bar. Lot of extras like a pool, game room, indoor play area but the room was dirty. Both faucets leaked, no smoke alarm, and holes in the wall.

This place is a dump -- its only advantage is price if you're attending a multi-day event in Kirkwood. My kids wouldn't stay in the room that was already paid for!

I had a room with 2 beds. The first one had a tissue stuck in between the pillows. It looked clean, but I have no idea what it was doing there if the beds were made with clean sheets. I barely got out of bed and the blanket shredded. The other bed had a stain in the sheets. Gross. The whole hotel looked pretty dingy. The vending machines in the lobby […] didn't even work. On the plus side, the staff seemed very friendly and were helpful. The location is pretty good because it's literally next to bar that looked to be a decent hotspot in town. Playground is geared to younger children. Tons of pay arcade games. But big pool that the kids loved. very good location, especially for younger children to see magic house and grants farm.

My husband and I were visiting family for a wedding. This hotel is old, and not in very good shape, although they try to keep it clean. It's the kind of place where no matter how hard you try, it's always going to look old and gross, which is what it is. The people […] there were fine, and they seemed to be trying, but it's dark, hot, crumbling, feels like an old dorm room, and is more fit for people in their 20s who need to save money on a road trip-- not people in their 30s who can afford to spend a bit more and get a decent room. Days Inn hotel is located convenient to the Barnes Hospital complex in St. Louis (15 to 20 minutes) and just two minutes off of I-44. There are many restaurants a Walmart and a Target located nearby. If you need a clean place for a good price this is your place. It is old but clean and the indoor pool area was nice for families.
