Very scared to plug anything into the outlets. They were detached from the wall and everytime I tried to plug or unplug it would spark. Also shower was dirty and so was the toilet

Got a very good deal on the hotel. We were just passing through and stopped for the night and it is good enough for that but would not stay several days. Everything was clean, the staff was great and the breakfast was very similar to bigger hotels. The walls had scuff marks on them and could use paint and does need some updating. The room was ok. Main complain the tub was dirty n so was the toilet. The connection were falling apart I was scared to plug anything without getting electrocuted..

It was a bad experience, not what I thought it would be like. I had never stayed at H.J hotel, but had heard good things. My wife and I had booked it for the weekened, to relax. After staying here, not again. My wife left with bed bug bites on her leg, the coffee maker was broken, shower was leaking throughout the night, staff had a bad attitude, the […] rrom was not available at the time of check in we waited at least 45 minutes for it, the TV channels though it was cable, seemed like I was watching regular TV with very bad reception. The Howard Johnson wasn't a much of a bad expierence. To tell you the truth, the sheets were not clean and l literally found a booger stuck to a side of a pillow. Not in a bad way, but Howard Johnson is more like a motel. Though I was happy to see more families staying the Howard johnson as well. And The hotel is really close to six-flags and has a […] lot resteraunts including a movie theater a couple blocks back and other stores and fast food and non-fast food resteraunt. Mehr

Beware of being mislead by the pictures on this site--and it is not Hotels.com's fault. Thislocation is actually a MOTEL--all rooms are facing outside. I was unaware of this, because the pictures do not display it. I would have never stayed in this location if I had known that it was a motel. I have stayed at another brand's 'express' inn and it was […] not like this at all. The bathrooms were disgusting--old and cracked everything. Towels were thin--it was like drying with a paper towel. 'Breakfast' was substandard. Heating and AC was loud and did not work well. I hope that they will update the information and pictures on this location to avoid future disappointment. This motel is worse than many Motel 6 locations--but at least you know what to expect from a Motel 6. Mehr

Mold on chalking around top of tub and shower water control handle. Asked them to clean and went out for evening. Came back and they had sprayed bleach on mold; did not wipe; drips of black and bleach on tub faucet; I cleaned it up.Water behind bathroom door on first day. Thought maybe from poor mopping then discovered toilet clogged. Went to front […] desk to report clogged toilet: woman at front desk handed me plunger and said please be sure to return. This is the most horrible hotel I've ever stayed in. There was blood on the wall and trash can, yes blood. The face plates for the light switches were filthy. I would wager they have never been cleaned. There were dirty hand prints and scuff marks all over the wall. The furniture was falling apart. The chair was stained with only God knows what. There […] was cigarette burns on the comforter. I checked to see if the window actually locked and of course it didn’t. When I called the front desk, they told me I could come to the office and get a stick to put in the window. This tells me they knew the window didn’t lock and have done nothing to take care of the problem. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

Location was good; staff was very good; breakfast was ok; overall I would stay here again for the < $40/night total cost.

I was very happy with my stay. Employees very friendly. The hot breakfast was very good. Nice atmosphere, they kept our room very clean. I'm happy with the price and the place. You should try it!

We booked two rooms and one had a clogged toilet. When we called the front desk to have someone fixed it they said that we will have to do it ourselves and asked us to come down to pick up the plunger. We were shocked and needed to fix it so we decided to deal with it. Needless to say, very disappointed on the quality of the rooms. Will avoid this hotel […] chain in the future. Mehr

Upon arriving at Howard Johnson's, check-in staff were wonderful, our room was in excellent working order although we did have to ask for more towels. Howard Johnson's is currently being renovated, but the services we received were excellent. My husband and I will stay again if/when we return to San Antonio.

I have stayed here 7 times in the past year and never had any problems however we recently stayed the weekend here and the checkout time has been moved from 12 to 11 with absolutely no late checkout. They are under new management and the front office staff is very rude. I will never stay here again nor will I recommend this hotel ever again!!

The A/C was leaking as was the room from the toilet upstairs. Needless to say, there was a very strong odor of mildew in the room and the carpet was wet around the A/C unit. Also because they are under new management they have to renegotiate their contract for HBO and Showtime so currently there is no HBO or Showtime, and I think the internet stopped […] working, as well. I stayed here for maybe 4 days until my appartment was ready, and didnt spemd too much time there but was still unsatisfied, the manager sucks, i was a little late getting out because i was driving back from out of town, and i kindly called the manager and told him about my inconvenience and he made smart remarks and when i got there he threaten to […] call the police to come escort me out Just because i was late, and wasnt even refusing to leave..good thing he wasnt in the offiice as i checked out Mehr

Right off freeway, and air conditioner kept shutting off so heard traffic all night. The outdoor hallways were littered with food and trash.

Older property, maintained with minimum care. room was clean, beds were comfortable, towels were rather small. an extra charge was taken at check-in for safe rental?!? the breakfast served was cold - including the eggs.

Veces el cuarto no funciona el televisor correctamnte y hay cuartos que no entra el internet

este hotel es lo que se llama bueno bonito y barato bastante bien para hospedarse e ir de shopping, con un desayuno decente para aguantar hasta el lunch
