Im NH Giustinano stimmte alles: Zum Mittelklassepreis gab es ein sehr modern und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer (hatten allerdings das Angebot zum Upgrade wahrgenommen). Das Zimmer war groß, das Bett sehr bequem. Das Bad war klein, aber mit allem ausgestattet, was erforderlich ist. Das Zimmer war nach erstem Anschein sauber. Der Service war in Ordnung, insbesondere beim Frühstückspersonal hätten wir uns mehr Freundlichkeit gewünscht. Aber das ist nach unserer Erfahrung Rom-typisch. Das Frühstück selbst war vielseitig und schmackhaft (mit Ausnahme des Automaten-Kaffees).

Das Hotel liegt ausserhalb von Rom und ist wirklich sehr günstig über die Bahnstation Pantanella zu erreichen. Es ist in einem sehr guten Zustand mit Marmorböden und vielen Details, die es schön verzieren. Ein typisches italienisches Früstück ist zu erwarten, das sich in Umfang vom deutschen unterscheidet. Leider haben wir gefühlt das mit Abstand schlechteste Zimmer bekommen, da es im Gegensatz zum gesamten Hotel wirklich sehr einfach eingerichtet war. Aber es war sauber und wir hatten vier schöne Tage in Rom. Empfehlenswert vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.

Wir verbrachten insgesamt 4 Tage mit unseren Kindern in Rom. Das Familienappartement des B&B war Ideal für uns. Die Lage In unmittelbarer Nähe zum Kolosseum und zur Metro war hervorragend. Der Vermieter ist unheimlich freundlich und hat sich bestens um uns gekümmert. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ruhig gelegen, die Betten waren sehr gut.
Lage
Hotel Ripa befindet sich mitten in Rom, in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: San Francesco d'Assisi a Ripa, Forum Romanum und Kolloseum. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Petersdom und Circus Maximus.

Villa Pamphili, eine weitläufige, wunderschöne Gartenanlage, befindet sich auf einem Hügel, der 20 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hotel entfernt liegt. Der Park wurde im 17. Jahrhundert angelegt und ist heute bei Spaziergängern und Joggern beliebt.

Auf der anderen Seite des Tiber liegt das etablierte Viertel Trastevere mit schickem Künstlermilieu und ausgeprägtem Lokalkolorit. Die winzigen gepflasterten Straßen beherbergen viele Bars und gute Restaurants und bieten ein buntes Nachtleben. Das Viertel ist auch eine Fundgrube für mittelalterliche Kirchen. Die wunderschöne Kirche Santa Maria in Trastevere ist mit schimmernden goldenen Mosaiken ausgelegt und hat eine eigene Piazza. Sie wurde 222 nach Christus erbaut und ist damit wahrscheinlich die erste christliche Basilika Roms.

"Nice hotel - good value for money"
This hotel was nice and in a reasonably good location. Immediate vicinity of the hotel wasn't great, it was a little run down and there were a few homeless people around. That said the hotel was only 10 minutes walk to the area of Trastevere Traverse which has great bars and restaurants. It was also on the tram line which runs from the historic old […] centre past the hotel and to the Trastevere rail station. It’s also easy to get from the FCO airport to the hotel, taking the rail service to the Trastevere station, the hotel is about a 15 minute walk from here. The hotel itself is nice, they provide a good buffet breakfast, although it is quite noisy - sound insulation between rooms isn't great. Mehr

"Über Modern Hotel in the heart of Trastevere"
We didn't expect much from this hotel given that we'd booked it the night before and were wary of it's super-modern design, but we LOVED IT! The receptionist upgraded us to a junior suite which had a HUGE wrap-around balcony, a huge living room, and a beautiful bedroom. We also had a beautiful view of the entire city, including the Vittorio Emmanuel […] II monument and the right bank of Rome. We loved the neighborhood, too. Great restaurants and lots to do while still being somewhat off the beaten tourist path. IF YOU HAVE A CAR: the hotel charges a bit of an expensive rate for parking on premises, but there is a Carrefour market with 24 hour automated parking garage literally a block away. The maximum charge per day is 6 euros, which is a total steal! Mehr

We stayed at Hotel Ripa for three nights and were very impressed with the massively friendly (and English speaking) staff, exceptional maintenance of the rooms by the cleaners and high quality breakfast. All staff were committed to providing a relaxed and stressless experience, which they provided - they were all […] very happy to help with transport, which sights to see, restaurant recommendations, etc. The area is not in central Rome, but it is very close - we walked to all of the sights and there is also a tram stop outside. "HOTEL RIPA Trastevere - Dreamy Roman Holiday"
I had been advised by friends to definitely stay in the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome, and we were so pleased that we followed this advice. Hotel Ripa is a gem of a hotel in an enchanting area that we felt truly gives you the "essence" of living in Rome. We ended up wandering the piazzas every single evening, settling on yet another fantastic restaurant. […] The hotel itself went well beyond what we were anticipating: the decor is hip, the staff is extremely helpful and welcoming, and we were totally impressed by the breakfast buffet provided each morning (champagne! delicious eggs with mushrooms! endless cappuccinos!). The hotel is tucked away a bit, but we found it the perfect home base for a dreamy and completely romantic week in Rome. We are a 30-something couple from NYC, and Hotel Ripa had the perfect dose of hip flare combined with great service. We will definitely be returning! Mehr
"Don't Let The Photos Deceive You..."
...or the star rating. The rooms looked NOTHING like the photos. The rooms were gross and old - we were completely disappointed in what we paid for. The hotel is worn and seen better days all around. The staff was nice and helpful. You get robbed for the wifi -- 5 Euros for an hour (or 1/2 hour in your room) and 12 for 24 hours. I read these reviews before making any bookings and I cannot imagine what people are thinking who rate this hotel well. Driving up to it is like entering an enormous housing estate. Very unattractive. The location is good once you walk out og the "housing estate" and cross the road to the older part of Trastavere, which is lovely. You cannot open your […] curtains without looking straight into someone elses apartment. We were on a non smoking floor, but were engulfed in smoked coming from rooms every day. We were ripped off by a taxi driver and when the discussion was taken to the reception area the hotel staff did nothing to help or resolve the ugly situation. We checked out early a day early, as it was just too depressing. There is no way I would ever stay there again. You can do better that this place, honestly. Mehr

Located a bit far from the city centre, because you need to take a tram or bus to main tourist sites... The hotel was expensive but provided a good service and a great breakfast. The hotel staff was great and cordial too.

"Hotel Ripa - Value for Money"
Well priced 4 star that is worth the money. The hotel is pretty hip and not pretentious, with helpful staff and a nice breakfast. Close to transit so easy to get around. The mattresses were disappointing, but probably the only thing I could complain about!
"Hotel Ripa Rome"
The Hotel was close to all modes of transport, which is perfect for a jet lagged traveller. Streets were quiet at night, yet close by were fantastic coffee bars, restaurants, boutiques and most importantly gelato bars.The breakfast buffet was the best bar none and service and hospitality generous and cheery.

I recently stayed at the Ripa Hotel for the second time. The staff is very helpful, speak several languages and are very courteous. I was extremely satisfied with my stay and would definitely return.

The Ripa Hotel is located over the river and close to the city centre. There is a tram stop very close which takes you right into the city. Good base for a site seeing trip to Rome. Good clean modern hotel with good service and helpful staff. Buy a tourist pass for the metro, bus, tram as it is well worth it and will be well used. This hotel was a great value and very comfy. The only bad thing was that there was only 1 electrical outlet in the room.

"Good Hotel for a family on a buget"
This Hotel is good for a family on a budget. We were a family of 6, 3 adults 2 children and 1 infant and were able to stay in the same room. The room had 5 twin beds, and the bathroom was very clean but only had a shower no bath tub, the beds were standard, but the carpet was very dirty. No one wanted to walk on it barefoot. Another down side to this Hotel is the location, which is located about 30 mins from the airport and about 10 mins from downtown, but easily accessible by bus. The neighborhood is not so great but not unsafe either. This is a budget Hotel and not what you would expect a four star to be. Dingy area and definitely not 4 stars. Overpriced and out of the way of most sightseeing locations. Not recommended. Did have a very good complimentary breakfast, however. The advertised gym was a joke.

Fantastic value... spacious, clean rooms,good for working. Hotel in a great location.Breakfast offer hard to- beat- good food especially the juices. Lobby a bit too "artsy" not inviting to "lounge" around..but then again that may be intentional. Loved this hotel and would most definitely recommend and book again.

the hotel was very nice, and roomy. the concierge people were extremely helpful. the breakfast was good...the location was extremely close to the train to the city center... extremely convenient. but the neighborhood was a little shady... Hôtel Ripa est tout près du quartier Trestevere, du coup, ça vaut le coup de prendre cet hôtel pour se loger! Tout est proche si vous aimez marcher : Colisée, Forum, Vatican, etc. Nous n'avons jamais pris le bus de notre séjour, mais si vous préférez les TC, un bus et un tramway passent à 50 mètres de l'hôtel. Le quartier de l'hôtel est parfaitement […] situé, le service était très bien, le déjeuner excellent! La chambre n'a rien d'impressionnant, est une chambre d'un 3 étoiles, le lit est confortable (c'est ce qui compte lorsque nous y passons que du temps pour dormir), la chambre était propre, c'est parfait. La salle de déjeuner a été refaite récemment et elle vraiment bien. Nous conseillons cet hôtel pour son emplacement idéal pour se balader à pied autant dans le centre historique que dans les petites rues bondées de boutiques et de restaurants/cafés, son service, son déjeuner, son prix. "Billigt og meget centralt."
Et godt hotel med stor morgenmadsbuffet og store værelser. Der er sporvogn 100m. fra hotellet, der kører til Argentinerpladsen (Cæsar's drabssted og kendt for de mange katte). Turen tager 2-3 min. og man er straks i Rom's centrum.

Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal, bra läge och bra frukostbuffé. Extra plus för närheten till mysiga kvarter i Trastevere och Porta Portese marknaden på söndagar.
