comfortable and clean

We loved this room- it was big and very comfortable. We stayed in a suite with two Queen beds. It was so nice to have lots of room and a kitchenette. I'm tired of staying in affordable rooms where there is little room to move around. This was a great deal and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even had a place to store our bicycles inside […] the hotel so we didn't have to worry about them outside. We will plan another trip just to stay here longer. Mehr

I stayed for two nights and had a great stay. No complaints and the location is near the metro so it was very convient. I will be staying again!

My husband and I stayed at the Tremont Plaza for one night while in town for an Orioles game. We could not have been happier! The rooms were spacious and very clean, the bed was super comfy and every single employee that we dealt with went above and beyond to be helpful. It's a decent walk to the Camden Yards area, but if the weather is nice it's no […] big deal. We will definitely be staying at the Tremont whenever we are in Baltimore! Mehr

On the way to the hotel, I was a little nervous. Once we checked in and got to the room, it was a nice, spacious room. It is complete with a kitchenette and comfortable beds. You have to park in a neighboring parking garage that is about $14/day. Other than that, it is worth the money and a nice stay.

From the front desk to hotel staff throughout the hotel, all were happy and said hello and asked if they could help with anything. So so nice! Q

My husband and I had a concert to attend at the 1st Mariner Arena. We chose to stay at The Tremont since it was one of the more affordable places that was nearby and had good reviews. Overall, I would say our expectations were met. We parked in a garage next door that locks up for the night. Price wasn't too bad considering others in the area. The hotel […] seemed to be kept up very nicely and was clean. I feel that the bathrooms could use updating though. Very dingy. Aside from that, we had a nice stay. Only about a 5 minute walk from the concert, which was nice. Not the most enjoyable area to walk... but it was okay. We would stay here again. Mehr

Spent 2 nights at the Tremont and I loved it. It was a reasonable location (for the price). Not too far from the Harbor. The staff was nice and respectful. I would definitely stay there again.

I like that there is a fridge for leftovers and snacks. It's right on the free charm city circulator route. One kind of negative thing is there are no fans in the bathrooms to evacuate certain odors.

I had a very nice stay - close and convenient location. Breakfast was expensive in the restaurant located in the hotel. I would like to stay in the Tremont Plaza Hotel in the future for non business, if I could get a good rate.

Recently spent a night here for a girls trip and we were very happy with the hotel! It’s in a nice, clean area about 6 blocks from Inner Harbor (we walked) and a quick cab ride to Fell’s Point which was ideal! The valet parking attendants, doorman and front desk receptionist were very polite, helpful and efficient! Room was very spacious, with a great […] view of the city! It was clean, well decorated and the king bed was heavenly! We had the 1 bedroom suite and for 3 people it was the perfect space. 2 of us slept in the bedroom, 1 slept on the pull out couch (she did mention however that it was not very comfortable but it was ok for one night). I will say the bathroom could be bigger and updated a little bit. But overall great room, the kitchen and dining room was a wonderful plus! I will warn you, we requested a late checkout but the best they could give us was only a half hour more and they don't tell you this when requesting it but there is a charge for late check outs (read it in the hotel book in the room and luckily I caught it and decided to just check out on time). Valet parking is $25 but we had a special deal that waived it, if you can get that, it’s worth it! Felt our car was safe and it was a plus to just have someone take it and bring it to us when we checked out. We would def stay here again! Mehr

The hotel was very convenient to my business and convenient to the Inner Harbor and other points of interest. It's a beautiful property. However, it is situated in the downtown and some immediate surrounding areas may be questionable. The adjacent deli was a great asset.

Room was nice and well layed out, none of the lights were plugged in (why??) so it was dark until we figured that out with the Maintenance fellow sent up promptly after we called the Front Desk Our first night was interrupted by the fire alarm. The staff was kind and sympathetic and got us out of there safely. One of our party was on crutches and from […] the 30th floor it took a long time to exit. We were told to take our time and put into the "slow stairwell" to the downstair exit. It was all well done. The next night was the night of the wedding reception. The room party, next door, was super loud until the management came by at Midnight to say that all that good fun was over. I wished they could have come by earlier, but . . . surprisingly, none of the noise came thrrough the walls, ithe noise was whenever the door was open and closed (and opened and closed and opened and closed etc...) Staff was the best

The staff at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. Service was overall quite good. Very nice hotel, with pleasant room. Hotel was not the most conveniently located, and the neighborhood safe but not very interesting.

My stay at this hotel was great! The hotel had just been recently renovated and the changes that were made were right in line with what my girlfriend and I were looking for. The only thing I wished is that the bathroom was a little bigger...but hey it was clean though. The hotel staff definitely gets 5-stars...everyone was extremely courteous and helpful. […] One thing I liked about the hotel was that it had a free shuttle....yes I said "FREE" that takes you within a 2-mile radius of downtown Baltimore. We were getting a lot of rain from Hurricane Irene, so the front desk even had a complimentary umbrella for us to use...this place is just awesome! Had a very pleasant stay at the Tremont Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and very fast. The room was a good size, and the bed/bedding was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This was a mother and son vacation. We were extremely pleased with the front desk service and location of the hotel. We highly recommend visiting the Walters Art Museum which is in walking distance. The free Baltimore Circulator bus is a short ride to the inner harbor, and then using the water taxi service is a fun way to see the sights. The front desk […] arranged for us to use the free hotel shuttle to get to dinner and back so we didn't have to use our car and find on-street parking. The deli in the lobby was great! It stocks everything one needs for breakfast, or an evening snack. Definitely would return again, and will recommend to my book club. Mehr

The front desk staff when we checked in was very nice & pleasant. There were 2 elevators not working when we stayed there so the wait was quite long. The staff in the deli was awesome! Their selection of their food was great! There was a convention going on so it was crowded & with the 2 elevators not working we had to take the stairs down to the lobby, […] THANK GOODNESS we were only on the 5th floor! The stairway was a bit scary but we managed to get to the lobby. The valet service was prompt and the staff there was very nice and very friendly! The hotel room itself was nice & clean and very accommodating. We were in walking distance to the harbor and the mall so we were quite happy about that! Mehr

This hotel is a perfect location for visiting downtown Baltimore, convenient to Mercy Hospital which is across the street, just a couple miles from Johns Hopkins University and also the hospital complex, a half mile from the Inner Harbor. They have a beautiful restoration next door for meetings that was the original Masonic Lodge in B-more. There were […] several family reunions going on. The Deli downstairs is very reasonably priced. Parking was $15 for two days in next door public garage. I expect to visit the Tremont again. Mehr

Rooms are spacious and quiet but decor is dated, drab and worn. Front Desk, Curb and Restaurant staff were courteous and responsive. Hotel commenced construction during my stay however I was never informed this would be taking place. I presume because of its age, the property was a bit of a maze and internet was mediocre at best.

The best thing about this hotel stay was the 1 bedroom suite, which was a one bedroom apartment. Kitchen with a large fridge, micro, plates and cutlery, but no cooktop??? It had a dining room, living room, bedroom and bathroom and would be great for an extended stay

It is a little walk to the waterfront, but there are free that go by the hotel. We did not stay more than one night, however, because the hotel is doing construction and it was so loud in our room from around 8am to 5pm that we couldn't hear each other talk. Just check to see if that is still going on before booking. If you plan to be out of your room […] all day, it may not be an issue. It is a beautiful historic building and some of the common rooms are amazingly beautiful. Worth visiting- minus the construction! Mehr

There were about 6 cardio machines in the tiny outdated gym and while all of them had TV screens, none of the screens worked. The condition of the equiptment was horrible. Further, there was construction going on at the hotel but that was only explained after I arrived to check in -- I had no advance warning.

So I got to the hotel at 11:40 pm, only to find that there was no place to purchase a soft drink, except the one vending machine on level 4. Being completely tapped out of cash, the nice people went to the employee break room and got me a diet pepsi. Upon entering my room, I was greeted with a blast of cold air and a frigid room temp. After calling […] the front desk, I was informed that my heat would not kick on bc the hotel had switched to ac for the season. Please keep in mind that it was 45 degrees outside and definitely not AC weather! None the less-- I pulled the extra down comforter off the other bed and used two huge down blankets for the entire evening. The beds were comfy and I have to admit, it does look like the rooms were given a recent makeover. The problem came when I went to take a shower. If I could attach a photo to show the disgusting nature of the tub and walls, I would. I was basically glad that I had flip flops to wear inside it. I will say that I was there for a conference, and after showing a colleague my picture, he did say that his room was MUCH nicer-- including the shower-- so maybe I just got a room that wasn't finished. The hotel is a lovely older hotel and I get that-- but if you are going to keep charm and beauty, then you must maintain it! Mehr

the hotel was in the process of getting a face lift and was a little noisy at times but i would go back again. now my gripe can be aired with hotels.com. they said the parking was free but actually i was charged for my two night stay. valet parking meant no vehicle access unless the attendent got it for you and we know how much tips can run.other than […] that i would use hotels.com again but read my confirmation closer. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others. It's a long walk to the inner harbor and to Camden Yards. The shuttle was never available, we had to take the bus or taxi. There was loud construction starting at 8 a. m. sharp. The hotel itself is very old and in need of repairs. The toilet wouldn't stop running unless we lifted the top and raised the plunger. […] The ironing board was broken. The front desk staff was hard to understand and not much help at all. We could not have been happier with our stay at the Tremont. When we arrived they offered us choice of room location. They gave us the best service we have ever experienced at any hotel stay. The front desk and concierge were knowledgeable and were quick to recommend places to eat or visit. I would strongly recommend staying here.

Family friendly. The kitchenette, fridge are a tremendous plus for families. Staff was pleasant, room was clean... lots of room for the kids to breathe.

The rooms are spacious and classic and the hotel is kept in great condition.

The staff at the Tremont Plaza were very polite and accomodating, upgrading us to a slightly larger suite at no cost to allow an early check-in. The hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet and within walking distance of the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore. The hotel is an older hotel, and is currently undergoing renovations. Customer service could have been better. Room service never came to clean the the room and the resuaruant in the hotel was beyond horrible. Wouldn't even allow my pets to sleep in that hotel.

The room was good, beds comfortably. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Only 1 night stay so had no problems. Baggage handlers very informative and friendly.

We had just done a one night stay. The doorman were extremely helpful, not only with our stay but had a tremoundous knowledage of balitmore itself. They had recommanded this irish pub right up the block and my boyfriend had an amazing cornbeef sandwich. They also had recommanded some things to go and do at night. It was feburary, so to walk to the inner […] harbor which was 6 blocks was not possible, but it was a quick cab ride. The entire staff was very pleasent and welcoming. We would stay again. Mehr

A great hotel for the price. It's about 10 minute walk from the convention center but well worth the savings when you compare prices to hotels near the convention center. I was especially pleased with the friendliness of the staff. I stayed there 4 night and interacted with a lot of staff and every single one of them was friendly and eager to help.
