Le Bristol - Beirut

Man merkt dem Hotel das alter an. Die Aufmachung ist charmant und alter Glanz noch zu erahnen aber nicht vergleichbar mit europäischen 5*. Eine Modernisierung wäre angebracht, wenn auch eine behutsame, um den Stil zu wahren. Die Lage ist nicht unweit der belebten Straße Hamra und zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen. Leider ist kostenloses Internet nur in der […] Lobby zu haben, obwohl freies Internet in Beirut zum Standard gehört. Insgesamt für den Preis ok, aber dennoch würde man heute eher zu maximal 4* tendieren. Bei offenem Fenster kann man hier aufgrund des Lärmpegels nicht schlafen, aber wo kann man das schon in Beirut. A great disappointment! Not a 5 star hotel - 3 stars would be a more proper rating. Poor breakfeast not many options. Little use of the receptionists - they gave us wrongful information a couple of times. The room is nothing at all like the picture. The area is a very trafficked there's no place for walking quietly. If you wanna be able to walk outside […] then find a hotel in Raouche area. There's a few good cafes, the best is definitely Buttermint close to the hotel, where you can get a great meal without the sickening smell of waterpipe. Be sure to always agree on a taxi price before getting in the car. If you say "Service" then there's a fixed price of 2000 lira only per person, but then there can be others in the cab aswell. Almost every cab driver spoke fairly good English. The location of the hotel is close to one of the main roads making it easy to escape the wast traffic of Hamra street. Receptionist does not acknowledge your presence, completely ignores you while wait to check in because she's conducting a private phone conversation giggling away. Hotel allows people from other rooms to charge their meals and extras to your room and then wastes your time when you're trying to check out trying to establish that it had to be you who […] ordered those meals and extras even though the signiture on the receipt matches that of a guest staying in another room (same receptionist I might add)... All else was ok although the room was considerably smaller than it appear in the photographs. Mehr

Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Lovely hotel with some lovely features, a little dated perhaps, but an oasis in the heart of Beirut. Lots of good restaurants and bars in walking distance.

Good value comfortable bed

The hotel is good but the customer service for hotels.com is bad i could not reach anybody to alter my reservation.

I stayed 10 days at LeBristol in Beirut the third time already. It is located nicely in walking distance to Hamra Street with lots of shops and restaurants. The room size is good as is bathroom size. The style is "old English", so could be a bit more modern; also new painting of some rooms would do them nice, but they are still ok. Air condition is […] very good. Roof top pool is nice and not many people there as the Hotel is mostly visited by business travelers. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Wifi on room is extremely (!) expensive - THAT is not up do date. But there is free wifi in the spacious lobby. All in all I like it and would come back also a 4th time Mehr

I actually really liked the place. Yes, it has that "faded glory" element to it, but I think that this adds to the charm. The staff was excellent, and minus the treadmill not working, I can't think of anything else to complain about. It was a bit pricey, especially the food and laundry, but overall, worth it.

Bristol Hotel is a good hotel in old Beirut , convenient and reliable . But DO NOT pay more money and reserve an executive room !!!! I paid some more money to upgrade to an execurive room in an executive floor to find out it is a regular room in a regular floor , with no 24 hrs executive lounge and nothing axtra !!!! so I paid more money for nothing […] !!!!!!!! Every other thing is perfect !!!!!!!!!!!! I like this Hotel. Higly recommended Mehr

A 5 Star hotel which has retained its status based on past/long passed glory. A pool on the roof which is more a bathing tub. The staff are reasonably efficient but perhaps not that one would expect of even a moderate 4 *. Expensive rooms for 3* value

My wife, son, and I went to Beirut on a three day stop before continuing to Amman and others, during our 2011 summer vacation. Our expectations for Le Bristol weren't too high (from reading previous reviews), but we were more than pleasantly surprised by the hotel staff and the condition of the hotel. It may not be a 5 star hotel anymore but it is a […] very good hotel, the price was quite fair, the location right, and the service excellent. We would go back in a heart beat. Mehr

I think at one time this hotel may been quite opulent and prestigious, however it seems as though things have been let fall apart a little over the past 20 years. Though the building might be in need of a little facelift, the staff still remain very accommodating and professional.

We stayed in this hotel for a week during May. The staff were beyond helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable. While the hotel has a faded glory it is well kept and well maintained. All in all they did all they could to make us welcome.

Perfect location within walking distance to cafés, restaurants, shops etc. Quiet surrounding. Good service, friendly staff, elegant atmosphere. Convenient rooms.Bathrooms will eventually need renovation.

Bristol has class...Lots of it. Food is absolutely excellent, either at the restaurant, the breakfast rooftop room, or inroom service. A few steps from Hamra and Verdun shopping, clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced. On top, staff are very friendly and helpful. What more to ask? I will be back there every time I visit Beirut.

Nice and very good located but this hotel is under expection then as 5 stars hotel.

beirut is not just another city ,there is something about it that radiates charm anf fun .you are spoilt for choice when it comes to fine dining and night life.le bristol , is situated in the heart of beirut .staff are competant and friendly ,and the rooms are clean and tidy .i would recomment this hotel for buirut visitors.

The hotel has seen its past glory. Be aware that across the road an extensive high rise construction project is under way.

Super god service, dejligt og rent hotel med venlig personale som altid var parate til at imødekomme vores ønsker. Vi ankom uden baggage til hotellet og de var meget behjælpelige med at sørge for tandpasta - og børste samt ringe ud til lufthavnen for at høre status. Endvidere fik vi en super god pris samt service med hjælp til at få arrangeret en tur […] til Jeita Grotto. Området var centralt, men stadig roligt med få minutters gang til Hamra Street. Vil klart anbefale hotellet til andre. Mehr

parfaitement situé dans Beyrouth, hotel plein du "charme " d'antan

Otelin bulundugu yeri bazi taksiciler dahi bilmiyor,etrafi devam eden insaatlarla dolu.Sabahin saat 8 inde is makinalari ve isciler calismaya basliyor,cok gurultulu.Otelin ic dekerasyonunun yenilenmeye ihtiyaci var,5 yildiz yerine 3 yildiz olmali,tavsiye etmiyorum.

Hotel de tres grand standing offrant les services attendus pour ce genre d'etablissement. Accueil de haut niveau et prestations d'excellentes qualites (chambre, room service, restaurant, piscine, ...). Seul bemol, l'environnement bruyant lies aux travaux dans le voisinage.
