the hotel is very beautiful and in a great location. however, walking into our beautiful upgraded suite, we found a french fry on the floor! kind of put a damper on things...

Great location for attending concert at Bradley Center; short walk. Right off Old World Third Street with its restaurants and bars. Hotel has no parking lot of its own; $25 per day at next-door lot. Street parking is available though. Rooms are HUGE, but bathrooms are skimpy in size. Had very unusual loud noises - very intermittent but rhythmic that […] drove us nuts. Front desk said Security could not find source, so they comp'ed our parking and gave us free breakfast. Must have crossed a black cat on our way to the hotel; on top of the noise issue, in the restaurant for our free breakfast, when pushing chair back to stand up, the leg of the chair broke off! The lightbulb in the bathroom was out and on both occasions when I went to shower it took at least 10-15 minutes before the water warmed up. Also, even though I didn't want to weigh myself, there was a scale in the bathroom that didn't even register a 0 when I stood on it.

The walls were as thin as paper. No privacy whatsoever. It was shocking how audible the people on either side of our room were. Not going back.

When we arrived our room smelled of bleach, I notified the staff and they went out of their way to accomodate us. They moved us to another room. The staff of this hotel is exceptionally friendly and provide excellent service.

The bell man remembered my name and addressed me by my name for the entire time. I only met him once and was very impressed

Could not have asked for anything more. Great location--walking distance to most downtown attractions. Hotel was nicely kept, staff was friendly and efficient. Valet parking was only $5 more than self park, and valet service was extremely efficient. Room was quiet, clean, well appointed, and comfortable.

We stayed there after attending a concert one evening. Upon arriving in our room, we immediately noticed some sort of fruit pit (or some other unrecognizable chewed up food product) on the main chair. When we went to look in the hotel guide book, the first few pages were ripped out. Overall: room not very clean or up-kept. Hotel check-in raved about […] the chocolate bar later that night, but all we found was a very rude staff member serving old fruit and pastries with disgusting chocolate. Disappointed with our stay, especially since it's supposed to be a 'nice' hotel. Mehr

Next door to the Pabst Theater, which is great. Close to key places in downtown. Hotel service and staff were terrific. The brunch is the best deal I've seen in a long time. Hotel interior, while a bit dated, is just fine. The room was in pretty nice shape. I couldn't access the wireless connection but it wasn't a real issue anyway so I let it pass. This hotel is a gem in the heart of the city. The accomodations were splendid and the happy hour was reasonable.

we enjoyed the hotel alot....clean, nice work out facility, great people.

This is a convenient hotel with great restaurants. If you have a car it works. If you are going to the theater or the art museum which are also great it works. Unlike Hotels in Easttown there is little to see around the hotel. You need to use cabs or have a car. Although it is expensive to park overnight. My room was not very clean. The bathtub had […] rust in it. There was a glass in the 9th floor hallway for two of my 3 days there. I finally took it downstairs to the desk. The front desk , valet and restaurant personnel were outstanding and very helpful. Mehr

I was not impressed with the room at all. When I booked the room, the pictures on the internet is what sold me. When we got in the hotel lobby I was getting more excited because of the looks, very nice. When we got the the room it reminded me of a Super 8 room. We had no microwave, fridge, and the room was small. Far cry from what I saw on the internet. […] On a positive note, good location to the places we needed to go in Milwaukee. Elizabeth (our waitress in the bar area) was the nicest person we met in Milwaukee. The hotel seemed a bit dated, and our bed was "droopy" in the middle. Location was great - convenient to the train station and easy access to downtown attractions.

My husband and I needed a night off from the kids and just wanted to enjoy ourselves and have a nice dinner. The Kilowat restaurant was outstanding best trout I have ever had. The hotel was lovely the only suggestion would be a mini bar in the room. Overall a fantastic experience.

Our room was on the 10th floor and we loved the high ceiling. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday and could not get in to dinner until 11 which was disappointing. Also parking was expensive! Overall it was a good experience

The room was very small but it was comfortable enough, the beds were ok, but the pillows were awesome. The hotel staff was very helpful and we even saw the Bulls there when we were checking in!

The hotel was very nice, clean and affordable. However, the Chicago Bulls were staying in the hotel when we arrived. We were forced to wait close to 2 hours to check in, mind you this was from 4 - 6 in the afternoon. The staff was fairly accommodating, offering us several free drinks(up to $8 each) at the bar. However, I would think that since they […] have advanced notice that the Bulls or any other VIP is going to be staying they would work the other reservations accordingly. This incident and the compensation made for my delay would cause me to seriously question staying there again. Mehr

Beautiful accomodations and friendly staff! Fabulous beds! First choice for now on when I visit Milwaukee again!

The staff at this hotel were extremely accommodating, pleasant to work with and well informed about the events in the area. As for the restauant and bar areas they were amazing from the food to the service. Everything was exceptional. The only issue we noticed was upon our arrival the curbside service lacked enthusiasum in assisting us with our bags. […] We would most definitely stay there again. Mehr

Very nice Hotel. Right across the street from The Performing Arts Center. Within walking distance to Starbucks and Rock Bottom and many other places to eat. Would have liked a small fridge in the room. Also was not sure where the ice machine was located. We did not mind too much about those things because we only stayed 1 night.

The front desk and all of the bellmen were very friendly and nice. The room was nice and the bellman explained the features of the room. Bed was comfortable. Wake up call promp. You can go directly to the Rep or Pabst theaters without going outside. We had breakfast, which was delicious. (Egg Benedict type only with sourdough bread, canadian bacon, […] spinach, poached egg and a mushroom sauce that did not over power the rest of the ingredients. We will stay again. Mehr

The hotel was very nice and decorated beautifully for Christmas. The hotel was connected to The Pabst Theater which is why we went to Milwaukee.

It's too bad they changed over from Wyndham, I don't ever remember being the slightest bit disappointed with my stays here in years past. Public spaces are posh and clean, as expected. My booking was not as I'd reserved. There were two of us in the room, there were two TVs but only 1 remote and 1 washcloth? Yes, these are menial things, and we weren't […] in Milwaukee to hang out in the hotel. However, this is InterContinental and don't expect to see these kinds of items overlooked as it seemed they were. We had a last minute guest and couldn't get a cot in our room due to fire code violations. The room had an annoying configuration, so I could see how this was the case. Staff all seemed friendly and cleanliness was excellent, so to me the most important areas were still hit. Overall, I'd go back, and probably will on my next trip, but I miss the Wyndham and would take any of those experiences over the InterContinental. Mehr

The hotel was very clean. They could use a cahir or stool in the bathroom so when you put your make up on you could sit down. Two people walked into our hotel room that we did not know. Their pass key opened our door. We talked to the concierge, and they apologized and gave us a free breakfast. They fixed the problem immediately. We really appreciated […] that. Mehr

My stay at the InterContinental Milwaukee was honestly one of my best hotel stays ever. I was there for a concert at the Pabst Theatre, which is located in the same building. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was huge and extremely comfortable. The only problem I had was the vending machines didn't work, but when I went to the front […] desk to advise them of this and to find out where I could get something to drink, I immediately received an apology and they sent someone up from room service for me. The maid was the friendliest person at the hotel. The rest of the staff members were pretentious snobs. Don't wear tennis shoes or blue jeans in their lobby or they won't speak to you.

Soundproofing's bad. Heard neighbor's conversation. Even worse, I heard the standoff between someone on my floor being ejected from the hotel and the hotel management at 3:30 a.m. I don't know why such a standoff would take 30 minutes, or why I should be awakened to hear this. Hotel staff never asked how my stay was upon check-out.

The hotel is a polished dump. Looks like they took a 20-30 year old property, threw up some drywall, a coat of paint, and called it luxurious. Bathroom was a disaster. Light bulbs were blinking. Room was small and uncomfortable. Fitness center is a joke. Lobby and bar area are nice, and service was good, but I don't recommend a stay.
