freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Zimmer sind angenehm und praktisch eingerichtet. Lediglich die Lage an einer großen Straße ist nicht so toll. Uns hat es gewundert, dass bei dem guten Frühstück Einweg-Geschirr verwendet wird, das zwar biologisch abbaubar sein soll, aber trotzdem passte es nicht zu dem sonstigen Standard.

"The Intercontinental Milwaukee"
This is a convenient hotel with great restaurants. If you have a car it works. If you are going to the theater or the art museum which are also great it works. Unlike Hotels in Easttown there is little to see around the hotel. You need to use cabs or have a car. Although it is expensive to park overnight. My room was not very clean. The bathtub had […] rust in it. There was a glass in the 9th floor hallway for two of my 3 days there. I finally took it downstairs to the desk. "Internet reviews vs. what we stayed in"
I was not impressed with the room at all. When I booked the room, the pictures on the internet is what sold me. When we got in the hotel lobby I was getting more excited because of the looks, very nice. When we got the the room it reminded me of a Super 8 room. We had no microwave, fridge, and the room was small. Far cry from what I saw on the internet. […] On a positive note, good location to the places we needed to go in Milwaukee. "Nice hotel - but could use some updating"
Elizabeth (our waitress in the bar area) was the nicest person we met in Milwaukee. The hotel seemed a bit dated, and our bed was "droopy" in the middle. Location was great - convenient to the train station and easy access to downtown attractions.

"Wonderful nite get away"
My husband and I needed a night off from the kids and just wanted to enjoy ourselves and have a nice dinner. The Kilowat restaurant was outstanding best trout I have ever had. The hotel was lovely the only suggestion would be a mini bar in the room. Overall a fantastic experience.
"Intercontinential"
Our room was on the 10th floor and we loved the high ceiling. We arrived at 6:30 on a Friday and could not get in to dinner until 11 which was disappointing. Also parking was expensive! Overall it was a good experience
"Intercontinental Milwaukee"
The room was very small but it was comfortable enough, the beds were ok, but the pillows were awesome. The hotel staff was very helpful and we even saw the Bulls there when we were checking in!
"Intercontinental Hotel - Home of NBA Teams"
The hotel was very nice, clean and affordable. However, the Chicago Bulls were staying in the hotel when we arrived. We were forced to wait close to 2 hours to check in, mind you this was from 4 - 6 in the afternoon. The staff was fairly accommodating, offering us several free drinks(up to $8 each) at the bar. However, I would think that since they […] have advanced notice that the Bulls or any other VIP is going to be staying they would work the other reservations accordingly. This incident and the compensation made for my delay would cause me to seriously question staying there again. Mehr

The staff at this hotel were extremely accommodating, pleasant to work with and well informed about the events in the area. As for the restauant and bar areas they were amazing from the food to the service. Everything was exceptional. "Intercontinental Hotel Milwaukee"
Very nice Hotel. Right across the street from The Performing Arts Center. Within walking distance to Starbucks and Rock Bottom and many other places to eat. Would have liked a small fridge in the room. Also was not sure where the ice machine was located. We did not mind too much about those things because we only stayed 1 night.
"Good location"
The front desk and all of the bellmen were very friendly and nice. The room was nice and the bellman explained the features of the room. Bed was comfortable. Wake up call promp. You can go directly to the Rep or Pabst theaters without going outside. We had breakfast, which was delicious. (Egg Benedict type only with sourdough bread, canadian bacon, […] spinach, poached egg and a mushroom sauce that did not over power the rest of the ingredients. We will stay again. Mehr

The hotel was very nice and decorated beautifully for Christmas. The hotel was connected to The Pabst Theater which is why we went to Milwaukee.

"Didn't live up to InterContinental Standards"
It's too bad they changed over from Wyndham, I don't ever remember being the slightest bit disappointed with my stays here in years past. Public spaces are posh and clean, as expected. My booking was not as I'd reserved. There were two of us in the room, there were two TVs but only 1 remote and 1 washcloth? Yes, these are menial things, and we weren't […] in Milwaukee to hang out in the hotel. However, this is InterContinental and don't expect to see these kinds of items overlooked as it seemed they were. We had a last minute guest and couldn't get a cot in our room due to fire code violations. The room had an annoying configuration, so I could see how this was the case. Staff all seemed friendly and cleanliness was excellent, so to me the most important areas were still hit. Overall, I'd go back, and probably will on my next trip, but I miss the Wyndham and would take any of those experiences over the InterContinental. Mehr
"Trouble - fixed"
The hotel was very clean. They could use a cahir or stool in the bathroom so when you put your make up on you could sit down. Two people walked into our hotel room that we did not know. Their pass key opened our door. We talked to the concierge, and they apologized and gave us a free breakfast. They fixed the problem immediately. We really appreciated […] that. Mehr

My stay at the InterContinental Milwaukee was honestly one of my best hotel stays ever. I was there for a concert at the Pabst Theatre, which is located in the same building. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was huge and extremely comfortable. The only problem I had was the vending machines didn't work, but when I went to the front […] desk to advise them of this and to find out where I could get something to drink, I immediately received an apology and they sent someone up from room service for me. The maid was the friendliest person at the hotel. The rest of the staff members were pretentious snobs. Don't wear tennis shoes or blue jeans in their lobby or they won't speak to you.
"Great - if you don't like quiet at night"
Soundproofing's bad. Heard neighbor's conversation. Even worse, I heard the standoff between someone on my floor being ejected from the hotel and the hotel management at 3:30 a.m. I don't know why such a standoff would take 30 minutes, or why I should be awakened to hear this. Hotel staff never asked how my stay was upon check-out.

"Intercontinental Milwaukee - Needs to be renovated"
The hotel is a polished dump. Looks like they took a 20-30 year old property, threw up some drywall, a coat of paint, and called it luxurious. Bathroom was a disaster. Light bulbs were blinking. Room was small and uncomfortable. Fitness center is a joke. Lobby and bar area are nice, and service was good, but I don't recommend a stay.

"Disappointed with InterContinental"
what a beautiful hotel, what mediocre service. i have paid less to stay at a hotel with MORE amenities. sauna was broken, hot tub was advertised (there wasn't one), room needed to be attended to twice to help with room temp (which never was completely right). no turn down service, no newspaper, had to pay for my own overnight parking....disappointed. "Little worn down"
Despite a modern lobby, the rooms were a little dated. TV was small, and no minibar in the room. Less like a 4 star hotel...more like a 3 start hotel. Still the bed was comfortable and location was good.

"Rooms need maintenance"
The location, amenities offered and staff are what you would expect from a hotel with a 4 1/2 star rating. The condition of the room was not. The bath fan was hanging from the wall and given the amount of grime on it, it had been that way for some time. There were many other issues to report with regards room cleanliness and overall maintenance, too […] many to go into in a review like this. Suffice it to say, that the condition of the room I stayed in did not match the expectations for a hotel with this quality rating. Mehr
"One major problem"
One major problem: the fire alarm went off at 2 AM. After walking down 6 flights into 38 deg. temp in sandals and robe, went back into main lobby, 2 men were at the desk. No one explained to the guests what happened or offered help. Milwaukee Fire and Police were not on hand.

"Swanky hotel!"
At first the price was a bit high but I waited until about 2 weeks before I needed to book and it dropped $40.00 on hotels.com so that was great. The lobby was gorgeous with browns, greens and very modern lights. They definitely did a complete revamp on the old hotel and make it very new and modern. The only downfall on this hotel is that they stated […] they had 24 hour roomservice but that was NOT the case they had a couple of salads and 3 cold sandwiches for a very expensive price. Roomservice to me is hot foods not cold overpriced sandwiches. Again everything else was great would definitely stay again! Mehr

"Outstanding Hotel"

"HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE for the price"
HORRENDOUS customer service at the InterContinental Milwaukee. Upon arrival at the hotel at 7:30pm on the day of check-in, I was greeted by an EXTREMELY rude female behind the check-in desk. Room check-in was stated as 3:00pm or after. As it was 7:30pm, I didn't realize it would be a problem getting into the rooms I had already pre-payed for at the […] time of my arrival. The female behind the check-in desk was quick to tell me our group had to wait "at least a half hour" before the rooms would be ready and appeared to find pleasure in her response to inform me the 2 rooms booked were not next to each other or on the same floor. In addition to poor customer service, I felt the contractual agreement was broken as the hotel room was not ready at the time promised. Also, the rude female behind the check-in desk apparently lacked the competency to program room keys. Only one of the two keys received opened the door to the room for duration of the stay. In summary, I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend out of town and was very disappointed at the complete lack of anything resembling good customer service. I will definitely think twice about ever going back to this hotel. In this economy and with these prices, I find it difficult to understand how this type of behavior and incompetency is tolerated. "Am going back monthyl!"
This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at-very nice, clean & great atmosphere! They also had complimentary candy & treats in the room! The only thing I didn't like was that the ice machine was way at the end of the hall & very inconvenient-also no fridge or microwave. Other than that great!

The InterContinental met all our needs with a smile, whether it be a change of room size or even getting a bottle opener from room service. The hotel was beautifully decorated and right on the river near all the dining hot spots and theatre. Kilawats restaurant has the best breakfast-Creole skillet and salsa eggs were fantastic!! "Good Location"
I live in the Greater Milwaukee area but booked this hotel for a Thursday night because my friend from Michigan was taking the Lake Express over and we wanted to go out downtown partying and I did not want to drive. The hotel is like a retro art deco type style the hallways and rooms are minimalist but really nice. I enjoyed the hotel but I think the […] front desk attendants are kind of snotty. The doormen and valet guys were nice though and that made up for it. I did not eat at the restaurant but my friend went down early and had breakfast at Kil@wat and she said it was beautiful. I recommend for the location but if that doesn't matter I would stay somewhere in the burbs a bit where the parking is free and the workers are not so snotty. Mehr
