Ambassador Strip Inn Travelodge - Las Vegas

As a family, I was looking for something else than the casinos. It was very good even it is located near the airport. The only drawback was the breakfast but it is still better than the casinos. You can easily walk to the strip. So, very good place I recommend for families.

In the months of June and July in Las Vegas are very hot. The air conditionar in my room was very unsatisfactory and there was a sign on the front desk NOT to set your thermostat to anything under 70degrees. The AC unit itself was not strong enough to keep the air cool and circulating. The pool is small and NO jacuzzi The TV was very poor and only […] had a couple of channels. i did like the shower but they only had shampoo and NO hair conditionar. The ironing board was a very small board about 3ft long and fit on the sink counter. Very hard to iron long sleeve shirts and pants! The microwave and refrigerator were a nice touch but not enough to compensate for everything else. The price was too high for the conditions in which the room was in. Nonetheless the location is great! just a hop skip and a jump from the MGM and NY NY not a long taxi ride or a walk back to the room. Very convenient in that area that was a big plus. When i booked the room they had a view of a STANDARD room and it looked great, but needless tto say i was dissapointed when the room in the picture was not what i got!. I wouldnt really recommend it if you want to be completely relaxed but if you plan to have some fun and dont really mind where you stay this would be a good pick for anyone. A small but good walk to the strip but close enough. Room was clean and matched in quality to price paid. We were disappointed though in the plastic mattress cover just under the sheets, which made for a bit crunchy uncomfortable surface. Also didn't like the lumpy pillows. Would stay here again if it was the cheapest close to the strip hotel but otherwise […] would pay a little more for the comfort of a better mattress at a different hotel. Mehr

I enjoyed my stay very much. The Inn was literally around the corner from the strip. Free internet access, microwave and fridge in the room were a plus as well.

-the bed wasn't "great" but was good for the price -it was strange how you had to insert a keycard for the air to work -the breakfast was good for a quick bite before our early flight and, you can't get much closer to the airport but didn't hear the planes much at all -I would definitely stay again for this scenario but would prefer one of the casinos […] for LV fun! Although I know that insects are going to be in most establishments, we not only saw live cockroaches but also dead ones on the floor

Good rate - continental breakfast - fridge - M-wave - pool - laundry room - shuttle. Who could ask for anything more?

For the price, you can't expect a four star hotel. However, the bed and room are big, clean and renovated. The staff is friendly. I forgot the power cord to my laptop so it was convenient that the office was open and that free access to computer was available 24/7, as well as plenty of good coffee.

Need new mattress. Very uncomfortable.

It was worth the money, good location overall

Great place. Close to MGM Grand. Also close to Highway 15. Room was very clean and plenty of towels. Only one noticible problem, sometime you get some rowdy neighbors that make a lot of noise. Much better to get a room on the top floor where the noise is less.

Great experience, would definitely go back again. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. The only negative was the bathroom was a little small. Close enough to walk to strip. Great customer service. Recommend to anyone who is looking for a comfortable but inexpensive room. Note; Kind of close to airport but noise wasn't too bad.

It's not 2 far from the strip, bus stop is around the corner, it also had a PC/IE in the lobby for customers to use and friendly staff. This hotel provided me safety and rest! Will stay again.

Clean. Friendly. Close to strip without the cost of being on the strip. Only downside is the front wall/window lets in alot of noise.

It sound awful to say, but this hotel was excatly what we expected, and met our needs. We were passing through Vegas for one night, and want to be close to, but not directly on, the Strip. This hotel didn't really have frills or fancy benefits, but it was clean, had good water pressure and relatively comfy beds. We got the sleep we needed then moved […] on. This was a good hotel for the price. Room was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. We tried setting up a wake-up call using their phone service, but it didn't work so I called the front desk and explained the problem and asked them to provide a wake-up call at 3:30 a.m. as our flight home was at 6 a.m. She said she would put it in the system. […] We never received the wake-up call. I assumed this would happen so I had already set our travel alarm. Another issue was that it was noisy with people outside returning from the strip talking and yelling. This hotel is billed as close to the strip and airport. It is so close to the airport, that the noise of all of the air traffic took some getting used to. The staff for the most part were adequate, but not overly friendly. When we experienced issues, they were dealt with only after some prompting. The first day we checked in, cleaning must have been […] rushed, as there was a musty smell to our room and we were short on toilet paper. It seemed to improve the next day. This is definitely a budget motel so we did not expect much. I would recommend paying a bit extra for a better hotel but if you are desperate, it is not a bad deal. Mehr

hotel was OK if you are looking for a cheap room.

Bad breakfast, no room for sitting. Mattress was the worst in my life. It doesn't feel safe. Noisy at night (people talking outside). If you don't mind all this is pretty cheap.

The hotel is located in a nice spot and has a good price. The rooms are not updated at all, but everything was clean and the appliances worked. My only problem was the walls are very thin. We could hear every word our neighbors said, and the televisions in their rooms.

Be careful Room 133

We stayed at this hotel because of the location close to the Thomas and Mack Center for the MWC Basketball Tournament. We spent 7 nights there and were very comfortable. The room was furnished with a king bed, large comfortable chair with ottoman, and a desk and chair with enough room to do our ball exercises. Also had a refrig, microwave, complimentary […] wi-fi, and a safe that both of our laptops fit into. Breakfast was fine - cold cereal, bagels, danishes, juice, and coffee. The room was cleaned every day. We will definitely stay here again. It is possible to hear airplane noise if you listen but was not a distraction. Mehr

Hotel staff were great, location leaves a lot to be desired unless you are departing by airplane at o-dark thrity. Aircraft all night. Then 1255 some lunatic was pounding on our door. Finall got up to run him off notified front dest. no security. got up again and told him to get lost or else. Have stayed here many times. Free internet, free breakfast and free airport transportation make this the best Vegas lodging alternative. Close to South Strip.

Just one block from the strip,(the MGM and Luxor), a well run motel in the Travelodge quality and cheapest last minute rates for weekend visitors, and parking just steps from your room, and quickly to and from the airport, very nice for a night.

Nice place to stay. Room was very clean and have all the basics. In the reception area they brackfast, coffe, etc. Very afordable price. Courteous staff. Can't complaint.

My only remark - quality of the shower. Water was coming out slowly. Other than that - everything was as expected or better. We are pleased with the courtesy of personal. Internet worked. Coffee was available any time of the day or night. Included breakfast if extremely basic but this is what to be expected for this hotel chain. In a meanwhile comparing […] with another Traveloge we got experience even breakfast was better. Adding to this extremely convenient location and more than reasonable price, we are satisfied and will advise friends to use this hotel. Mehr

This place was as one would expect for a modestly priced hotel. Nothing special, but nothing bad. The staff was friendly and responded promptly to questions. The wifi worked excellently. If you don't like to walk, and want to go to the casinos this probably isn't the place for you. If you don't mind walking the MGM Grand was close as were others. Breakfast is not that Great, but I will stay again at this Motel. it is cheap/ Affordable. Close to MGM & New york New york walkting distance to major attractions. the management needs to put up sign for the guests who are in the upper level to be little more concern over the people below who are faster sleeping. there were some young adults & they […] were running middle of the night which made us wake up middle of the night. The room was fine, except for the rock hard plastic covered mattresses. The biggest complaint I had was customer service. Anything you need, from mail service to Internet access was handled as a problem. There was no willingness to take care of their customers, instead I was treated as a problem and interfered with the woman at the front desk trying […] to take care of her child on the phone. This happened every time I tried to deal with her. If customer service isn't important to you, this is the place to stay. Mehr

Stayed here because of the inexpensive rates plus having a refrigerator and complimentary WiFi. It's near the airport, but I didn't notice any significant noise. If the Strip is your thing, it's a bit of a walk to get to where the action is, and unless you stay on Tropicana and Koval, some of the other roads can be dark and spooky at night especially […] if you're walking alone. Room felt a little cramped for a 3-night stay, and the climate control is a bit whacky (you have to use your keycard). Otherwise, it was clean and quiet. Laundry facility and ice machine were adequate. The pool was not heated, so it's great if you just want to cool off! Continental breakfast was a joke--go somewhere else to eat!Overall, I recommend this place if all you want is an inexpensive place to sleep and clean yourself up. If you want to party/gamble/be pampered, find a real resort hotel instead. Mehr

With respect to price, the hotel is excellent except its wireless internet connection. I receive a very poor WiFi signal in the room.

The room was excellent. Everything was so nicely arranged, it impressed me. The hotel looks a little old, but the rooms were very clean and neat. The people at the desk were great. Visited in September 2010 for 3 nights, a double queen room. While not a "deluxe" accomodation what we got was nice. Some notes... -There is NO "resort fee" which we found very appealing. -Rooms include a microwave and fridge which we found useful, and unusual at this price. Very nice. -It's location allows easy access to Koval Lane (for car transit […] up & down the East side of the strip). It was also very easy to get to Tropicana Ave to get to the West side of the strip, and to go south to the intersection between Luxor/Mandalay Bay. This was VERY convenient for us. -Street/airport noise was not an issue. -Beds a bit stiff, but not unsleepable. Hot water good, cold water wasn't very cold. -Room was typical of this price range. They have a cooling system requiring a room key be inserted in a slot near the front door in order to function. This meant the room could get quite warm during the day, but it didn't take long to cool down once we got back. -There is ONE computer for customer usage with attached printer, but they do not have a usage limit posted. Somebody could be on the computer all day keeping others from printing off boarding passes and quickly checking emails. They should change this policy and put limits on usage. -There is a $1.00/nite "room safe" fee added to your bill. You can have this charge removed if you ask at check out, but you must remember to ask. This is dishonest, or should be better noted in the Hotels information. All in all, we've found a new favorite "non casino" hotel for our future visits. Mehr

I was very please with this motel. It was located 5 min from the Strip, very quite, clean and a fantastic price, plus free Wifi that other hotels charge for.

We arrived to the hotel late at night and because the air conditioner wasn't turned on before hand, the room was 100 degrees and it took hours to cool it off. Due to the hot temperature, we couldn't fall asleep for hours and it was very uncomfortable.
