I was pleased to find a place that allowed pets at no addiitonal charge! The hotel is currently in a major renovation and the room I stayed in was really nice, all new everything. I will stay there again!

The hotel was being renovated.no telephone in room. No coffee pot or coffee at continental breakfast.the good part was a microwave & refrigerator for a long stay. The check in & out personnel were great.

If you're on vacation this probably isn't the motel for you. If you just need a place to crash it is fine. The room had chipped and peeling paint on the walls, the sink was backed up, and some of the lamps had burned out bulbs. Not pretty. Internet connection is spotty and the carpet needs to be shampooed. Other than that, for the money, it was pretty clean and its a great little motel in a great location and the front desk staff is excellent.

It was a good deal compared to what you'd be paying anywhere else in Virginia beach but hotel looked a lot worse in pictures than it did online. Also, when I booked online it said the hotel only had two rooms left. I thought I'd be arriving at a full hotel. It was actually deserted. Seems like on the bottom floor where I was, 2/3 of the rooms were empty. […] It was a non-smoking room...that smell liked smoke. The tub wouldnt drain because the drain was full of some kind of twine. The phone in the room was just for show. It wasn't hooked in to anything. And the toilet made the LOUDEST noises all night. It was so loud, I don't even know what it was. It sounded like a loud groaning in the pipes -- and of course we couldn't get a different room because the hotel was "full." We stayed for two nights. After the first night we asked for a couple new towels and they had none. Well, they had one. He said I'd have to come back later when they had some if I wanted another one. And upstairs sounded like there was a couple elephants jogging in place late at night. The place isn't bad if you just plan to come back to your room wasted. If you're trying to sleep, you can hang it up. On the plus side: its pet friendly :) Mehr

It was comfortable to stay but the housekeepers didn't clean the floors the second day (out of three) but replenished the towels and took the trash thar we left piled up for them.

i asked for two beds but they gave me only one bed. they have to change those sheets on the mattress the bed was hard as rock but it was ok cuz i spend modt of the time outside i just went there to sleep

Wi-fi was not working in the room..and they were not all concerned about it, i have called them but they simply ignored the problem saying that its working in reception...that was frustrating....they were not at all friendly.

I was very unhappy with two things: First, very week internet. Basically, I could never access the internet. I had to go near the front lobby to get access. Second, the hotel claims complementary breakfast. This is a joke. All you can see few slices of bread with few cupcakes. Juice dispenser and coffee machine is just for show. The location was horrible, there were stains all over the rug. The towels weren't even clean, I went out to buy one and I could hear everything in the other rooms.

I never write a post but i had to write one about this hotel. My family came to visit and when we walked in the room it looked kind of weird and we pulled back the sheets and guess what we saw a little roach..since I had already paid for the room through this site , i asked to change rooms when i went to the other room it smelled like someone poured […] a 40 (malt liquor) on the floor..i do not recommend anyone stay here its disgusting. The bedsheets are linens are not fresh. The A/c is not working properly and roaches on our bed. The other guest are rude but the office workers are nice.

This is a low budget hotel, so naturally they dont have a lot of extras. I have received more amenities for the same costs at other hotels in the area, but the stay wasn't that bad. A hotel is used to sleep in. That part was good. The continental breakfast needs improvement. Other amenities like coffee maker, microwave, iron and ironing board, would […] improve the review and stay. The wifi internet is a big plus! They have a laundry room on site, but no change maker. A credit card using machine would be perfect. The lobby is extremely small with little seating. I am okay with the hotel with what I paid, but a few things can be done to improve the stay. They didnt make the bed one night and never changed the pillow cases. Mehr

We were slightly concerned with the people hanging around the hotel, certain smells wafting from other rooms and the safety of the surrounding area. We didn't have an incident, but this did impact our comfort level during our stay.

I did not know until we checked in that this was a welfare motel. Residents were sitting around the steps, babies were running around, the corriders smelled like urine. The residents overall seemed nice/friendly so we decided to stay the night. The room was relatively clean, except for 1 blanket with hairs on it. The housekeeping staff was excellent […] and took care of our needs right away. I would not stay at EconoLodge again, in any location. There is no way of knowing if they are renting out their rooms to welfare residents, until you get there. Not a pleasant surprise. Mehr

I wasn't happy that I got a smoking room when I was promised a non-smoking one on the phone. The bathroom wasn't very nice. The toilet didn't work. The bathroom door couldn't be closed. The TV reception was poor. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others unless the person is on a strict budget. The only nice thing is the low rate.

Situated in an industrial area, though close to a cinema. Rooms need refurbishment. Breakfast was nowhere to be found the first day, and the second it consisted of muffins and something resembling coffee. Not recommended.
