"Sehr durchwachsen"
Die Ausstattung derZimmer ist sehr gut, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, LCD-Fernseher und abseits vom Üblichen in dieser Preiskategorie eine Sitzgruppe mit Tisch sowie ein Schreibtisch, der den Namen auch verdient. "Non-smoking room smelled of old smoke"
Room and rate were ok for an overnight stay. But, it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. When first walked into room it smelled like heavy perfume, like they were trying to hide the smell. But, the more time spent in the room, the more it smelled of old smoke. Also, there was a lack of outlets in the room for laptop and recharging cellphone.

We were very happy with our stay at Columbus. We read a few bad reviews and were skeptical, but it was our first trip taking our dog and the stay was just fine. Room was nice and clean and it is only 15 minutes from Brown County State Park. The outside door on the second floor would not shut and didn't lock, but we didn't seem to have any problems
"Not again."
Our "non-smoking" room reeked of cigarette smoke and the window was held closed with a 2x4. The clerk was very nice and effecient about changing our room when we asked. The hallways needed a lot of repairs and updating. The room and beds were clean.

The carpet was very stained and old. There was mold on shower curtain. The room number tag was gone and just written on wall in magic marker.

I noticed as soon as I got there that they had no workable security locks on the entrance doors. They had a waffle machine that wouldn't cook the waffles, so as far as a hot breakfast that was out of the question, but the worst thing was in the cafeteria when two big fat roaches crawled out over the breakfast nook floor with me killing one of them and […] the other went on about its duty. I might add VERY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!! I would never stay there again. Two other couples sitting at the table by us got up and walked out when they saw the bugs with one of the women holding her hand over her mouth, saying oh my god! Mehr

only one bad thing/ ran out of hot water during shower. other than that, clean comfortable, nice hotel.

"Good place to stay"
If you are looking for an inexpensive and clean place to stay, that is conveniently located, this is it. I was a little concerned from previous reviews, but we were very happy with our stay. The hotel and room were clean and quiet. I would stay there again.
There was black mold in bathroom. Room was not very clean.

This was our second stay in the Days Inn in Columbus, Indiana. We have family in Columbus and the surrounding communities. Our room was clean and well stocked, and our room service was excellent. We are already planning for visit next year and we plan on staying at this same Days Inn. Thank you.

"Cheap but you pay for it!"
Hotel was located just off the interstate and close to Brown County State Park, but not worth this efficiency. Our non-smoking room smelled like someone had been smoking, found old food in the couch cushions, and bathroom ceiling tiles were falling down with holes in the walls. Did not feel clean or comfortable in the room at all. Workout room was measly, […] not air conditioned and smelled funky as well. Front desk staff were friendly but not efficient or quick (had to wait 5 minutes upon arrival for anyone). They did their work but did not present themselves well (no uniforms, low tops, tattoos exposed,etc.) I would not recommend this hotel to other vacationers because of lack of cleanliness and not getting what descriptions on internet portray. "With a Dog"
The hotel was fine for a base camp for us to go to Little Nashville, Indy, etc. and we had a dog with us which they accepted at a a very cheap rate. However, we got the room with the really gross carpet (I guess with a dog I would have given it to us too!). Missed the free breakfast at 9:35. :( Only issue we had was 2 exterior doors to hotel and hallway […] did not shut all the way and anyone could walk in, even without a key. "Days Inn Columbus In"
We had the first room on the first floor and we had people outside our room all night long talking. Had planned on swimming ,but guess what? July 2nd and the pool was still closed and they were blasting the sides to redo it. Nowhere did they say the pool was closed. Never stay there again.

Hotel was in descent condition, very clean. I do not know the clerks name she is young, blond and expecting she was fantastic. Very friendly, out going and new exactly what to do if we had a problem. The only complaint we had we were in 157 and the 3rd room down on same side. Saturday night they had a party, ended up with fight in hall. Somebody had […] a dog that barked all night long and they kept banging doors and yelling in hall. I called desk first time and they gave them warning. They started back up at 1 am then again 3 am that is when we got up packed our bags and left for home. Mehr

I left the hotel at 4 am and slept in my car when I saw a bed bug. The room was filthy.
"Thin walls and no water pressure"
Many aspects of the Days Inn, Columbus, Indiana were as expected. What I didn't expect was thin walls that hummed with the base frequencies of a band in a bar half a block away. Water pressure was even more non-existent than insulation. The night manager was kind enough to move us to the end of the hotel facing a busy highway. "Ask first"
The room was not what I was expecting. The room with King size bed, did not have the jacuzzi that was shown in the picture. Walls were paper thin. Could hear everything from the people in the next room and the kids running up and down the hall. Not my first choice for a hotel, but ok for second or third choice. "Days Inn Columbus--Just OK"
From a distance things looked great...up close, not so much. Up dates have been made, but it is still an older place. Was clean, but things like industrial extension cords in the lobby were just odd. The bed was hard, yet sunk to the middle as we slept. Basically it was ok for a bed and a shower stop on the road.

The cost of the room was not expectable in comparison to the other hotels in the area that were priced. The beds were hard and the chair was broken. If you look around the molding of the bathroom it was collapsing and there was not an exhaust fan in the room.

This was a very nice and convenient hotel to stay in. There are plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from and the rates were very affordable.

I shopped for price but the facilities were considerably worse than I expected even for at that price. Kind of cute from the street - exceedingly filthy inside. Security door on the side was broken. Two cars in the lot with flats that had obviously been there for some time. Cigarette butts by the hundreds around the lot. Grass growing over the blacktop. Didn't […] stay long enough to get detailed specs on the room but the bathroom was not cleaned and the pillow cases were either stained or not changed. The lady at the front desk was quite pleasant and professional but I'd have to see that the property was completely remodeled in order to even consider staying there in the future. Mehr

They need to pay more attention to cleanliness. There was a jelly packet that had been stepped on and smeared on the side entrance. We told the maintenance person about it but it stayed there for 3 days. Jelly was tracked inside and could have been avoided. Also, the breakfast area. Clean it up. Counters need to be wiped down. Some people don't understand--shoes […] and shirts must be worn. That doesn't mean barefoot!! Mehr

Bed sheet has a large yellow stain and burn. The breakfast was not edible they were doing remodeling and everything tasted like plaster, Found a tick on me that must have been in the room because we hadn't left all day. The upstairs had no air conditioning in the hall ways. Place needs alot of repair.

"mattress"
We were given room ll2. Everything was great except the mattress in that room needs replaced badly. It was so lumpy and sank down in the center. Almost had to hold on to the side to stay on my side of the bed. Everything else was excellent. Breakfast room was rather warm because of the addition on the back not allowing any fresh air in. love the motel […] but hated the mattress. Mehr

"Great stay for a one night event!"
We were in town for one night for a golf tournament and needed a nice cheaper hotel to stay at and we got it! We had asked for a king non-smoking and was told when we got there we were getting a double non-smoking and right away the gentleman at the counter said he would take care of it and we got what we had asked for. The room was clean and very nice. […] We were very pleased and happy with our stay and will be going back in the future! Mehr

"Room was excellent"
The room was everything we expected of Days Inn. We had a ground floor room which the desk clerk changed for us because of my husbands handicap. She was very helpful, etc. The person we were visiting has sinced passed away so we won't be coming there as often but will come occasionally.

"Stay was good except..."
Overall hotel was good for the value. We had one problem...no heat when we returned to our room about 11:30. Having sat outside all evening to attend a football game we were cold. (30's outside) After examination the heating element was shot. The hotel was sold out so they could not move us to a new room. Instead they did find someone to replace the […] unit. It was 1:30 before we had heat. Awoke at 4:00 so hot we couldn't breathe so turned heat off. Needless to say we did not get much sleep that night. Mehr

"Great place to stay"
The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were done in a marble type material and was very nice and looked almost new. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Everything from cereal,bagels,waffles, juice, coffee, milk and more. The staff was very well prepared for questions of restaurants etc and immediately gave us a city map to help us […] as well. "needs housekeepers"
we were supposed to have non smoking king rooms we got smoking double rooms. the rooms were FILTHY. our friends room had ductape for the threshold to the bathroom and our room had what looked like dried puke on the wall. it was DISGUSTING
