Kelley House is right in the middle of Edgartown - you are steps from everything. It was a charming old mansion with personal touches like muffins in the morning and fresh baked cookies in the evening - awesome! Our ground floor room smelled a little musty and the shower could have used a little extra scrubbing for mildew spots around the top and seams. […] But the rest of the room was lovely, fluffy duvets, nice furniture, etc. Would definitely stay there again. We stayed over New Year. The staff were just great and had all the info about what was open and where to go. Room was clean and a good size but a little outdated - no flat panel TV here, a beige bathroom. Beds were comfy with good quality linens on them. Our room was on the ground floor and we could hear squeaky floorboards from the people in the room […] above every time they moved around - not enough to keep us awake but next time I would ask for a room upstairs. They had muffins and coffee in the lobby which has a fireplace, but there's no dining area or lounge area here. The location is great - right in the center of Edgartown Mehr

We had an excellent experience at the Kelley House. Our room was not ready when we arrived, but the clerk at the front desk upgraded us to a larger room with a beautiful ocean view at no charge. The staff was very accommodating throughout our stay.

We were greeted at the front desk by a female receptionist who was very friendly and helpful. She up-graded our room to a suite and we were so surprised, It was awesome!

They went out of their way to make us feel at home. They made us a new batch of chocolate chip cookies (served nightly with milk) because the first batch was "crispy" and put out muffins before we left at 6am (even though breakfast doesn't officially start until 7pm). I recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!!

Well kept hotel in the midst of downtown Edgarton a block from the harbor. Great location, friendly staff, nice amenities including delicious muffins every morning. Only downsides we observed were that parking is hard to come by (3 satellite lots with only a handful of spots each) and the room was NOISY. Snores, sneezes, flushing toilets, drunk people […] arguing in the hallways come through the walls, ceiling, and floors. With earplugs these interruptions were negligible but if you're sensitive to noises, be warned! Mehr

Everything about this hotel was excellent. We had a very warm welcome on arrival and lots of information about places to visit and places to eat. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. We had complimentary muffins and coffee in the morning, which were delicious! The Kelley House was a incredible hotel with a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful, there was free parking, muffins in the morning and hot cookies in the night, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. So sorry we only there two nights

Enjoyed the stay and opportunity to bicycle on the island. Desk reception was warm, helpful and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. Proximity to harbor made for beautiful walks and view of morning sunrise.

Courteous and attentive staff, helpful at desk, helpful suggesting restaurants, helpful getting phone numbers, helpful getting us muffins and coffee before our six am departure.....they really went out of their way to make it a pleasant visit. We had a really good experience at the Kelley House.

I really liked this hotel. It was an older hotel, but it was perfect in the Martha's Vineyard area. Just what you would expect. The parking was a little inconvenient, but it was right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. We just walked out the back, past the pool and the docks were right there. Clean, super quiet, serene. Spacious comfortable rooms, down to the last detail. The beds were really comfortable, the room had it's own thermostat and we slept like babies. The staff were terrific. This was the most restful vacation we've had in a long time.

We were vacationing with our one and a half year old and this was the first hotel we've been to where we didn't have to "baby proof" anything in the room! Awesome! The staff was so sweet and accomodating with our daughter, and were always very helpful with opening doors for us and helping with our stroller. The room was beautiful, with a bed so comfortable […] that at one point my husband, daughter and I all took a nap together. The homemade muffins in the morning(I recommend the chocolate ones) and cookies in the evening were an added bonus. This is a wonderful hotel and my only disapointment is that we didn't stay longer! Originally booked a "Bed and Breakfast" but on arrival learned they were not a B&B and did not offer breakfast at all. Also booked a room with a queen bed which we were informed they did not have any of so we got a double. after much discussion we were told that there were problems with the web sites and those were being looked into. we were finally […] given coupons for breakfast at another property a 1/2 mile walk away. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness/condition of this hotel. The location is fabulous and so is the curb appeal but that is where it stops. I did however read on other posts that the hotel needed updating so I was expecting some level of wear. I did not however expect the carpeting in the hallways and our room to be covered with stains as well […] as worn and torn. The bathroom shower curtain was molded on the inside bottom and the sides of the tub covered by the shower curtain were filthy. The bathroom vinyl floor was equally scuffed, dirty and worn. A container of cleanser would have be an easy fix. Neglect was evident everywhere. When we complained we were told that the hotel was "for sale" and that's why things were run down. Think twice before staying here. It is expensive and not worth the price. Mehr

Beautiful and very quaint! Location was excellent, right downtown, we walked to all the sites. Nice swimming pool with a great patio for evening relaxing. They also have a nice family restaurant, food and service was very good. The morning muffins and coffee or tea was. A Special touch and so deliciious. We found both parking lots full one late afternoon after a round of golf. You made dinner reservations for us as requested by us both nights. One night we had requested L'Otoile(sp?) at which we had eaten in other years while staying at the Kelley. FYI, its outside expansion has not been equaled by an expansion of their kitchen staff. When we arrived and saw the location we were thrilled. It is right in the middle of the center of Edgartowm.. Close to restaurants , shopping, Marina and minutes from light house beach. The hotel had beach chairs, umbrellas towels and whatever we needed . This is an old place BUT maintained well. It does not have an elevator but its only 3 floors. I can recommend this hotel to everybody. We stayed there with our two 10 yrs old daughters and it was such a wonderful experience. Stuff was fine and helpful. Free muffins, coffee and tea every morning was great. Finding milk and cookies every night was a wow! The Hotel is in the middle of Edgartown, perfect location, a fridge in the room, very clean […] rooms, they even made a little bed for my dd's stuff animal, cute :) There is a swimming pool, too. We stayed at the Kelly House for my wife's surprise birthday getaway. This was just simply the perfect little retreat for the both of us. From the moment that we checked in, to the moment that we finally had to depart, the staff really took care of us. Charlotte and Stephen treated us like long lost friends. Not too overbearing and pushy, but not unavailable […] and unhelpful either. It was just the right amount of service all around. The hotel was also quite charming. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and are looking forward to going back very soon. Mehr

We were here right before the start of the summer season, it was still pretty quiet and right in the heart of the old town, next to the harbor and all the fish and seafood restaurants. Service was really good, and so the facilities. I'd totally recommend this place for a short stay (it has a pool for a chill out day!)

I was upgraded at the original contracted price and the staff went out of their way to extend the stay at the initial price for additional time, without requiring me to change rooms. They were both friendly and courteous, as well as prompt in attending to problems. Nice accommodation and extremely convenient to Chappy ferry; I will return.

My husband and I spent our first anniversary on the Vineyard. We stumbled across the Kelly House via an internet site and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The staff was fabulous and very attentive. They gave great tips on places to go and restaurants/pubs to check out. They were caring with their service. There was freshly brewed coffee and […] muffins in the morning and milk and cookies in the evening for those who wished to indulge. The fire in the front lobbey was always on which helpe iwth the chill from the weather. The only downside was that we could not access proper internet from our room on the 3rd floor but had no problems in the lobby, so the first evening I sat by the fire in the lobby to complete some work prior to starting our vacation. I would definitely return and would consider renting one of their cottages for a week or so. Thanks Steve and Charlotte for making our stay memorable! Mehr
